Jason and Dana exceeded expectations on our wedding day!
I will not lie, based on Sonus Planning website, I was a bit apprehensive at first. If you’re the type of bride/groom/event coordinator that doesn’t have a million songs you want played in only a few hours, you have nothing to worry about. Me however, I have very specific taste and songs I dreamed about hearing on my special day. With only 10 song slots available, how could I ever choose!? Jason made me feel confident that he would also accommodate songs from my Spotify playlist and… HE DID!
Jason and Dana were professional with a positive attitude AND experienced.
My (now) husband even had a surprise mom and son switch up song that Jason kept a secret!
Overall, I would recommend Sonus for any event to anyone! OH… And did I mention the free lighting!? Make sure you take advantage of booking within the allotted time to receive that perk. Because… WOW! EXCEEDED expectations!

Jason is a family friend of my wife and had done her sister's wedding reception prior to ours. He is a phenomenal DJ and had all the details nailed down between his online form, zoom meeting, and brief chat at the beginning of the reception. We gave him a large amount of control on songs, just giving genres and a few examples. His choices were perfect and we all had an amazing time! He kept the energy up and people dancing for hours! Absolutely recommend them for any DJ need! -

Jason was so wonderful. He communicated at every point the process, and helped our wedding run smoothly. There were multiple check in points, and he always responded to our emails promptly. Our guests continually complimented the playlist, as it wasn't the typical mix you hear at nearly every wedding. We also went with the uplighting and photobooth packages. The uplighting really transformed our reception hall, and even 90 year old grandparents were raving about the photobooth! Would highly recommend. -

We had gone to a wedding a few years back where Sonus Entertainment was their DJ. When it was time to plan our wedding, I wanted to get their DJ's information because even after a couple of years I remembered how good their DJ was. We booked with Ryan and I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. He is very professional but even more friendly! He would come up to us throughout the night and ask if we needed anything and made sure our timeline went perfect- in which it did! I feel like our night could've have gone any better and a lot of that had to do with Ryan. He also had the dance floor full just about all night long - it was so much fun I didn't want our night to end! -

We loved working with SONUS Entertainment for our wedding. We had Ryan as our DJ and he was wonderful! We knew from the first meeting with him, that he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding. He did such a great job helping us plan everything and listening to exactly what we wanted. We could tell he genuinely wanted to make our day perfect. The online planning forms were wonderful and so easy to use. They definitely helped us to figure out how we wanted to plan our day. If there was a song we wanted to play that wasn’t listed on their website, Ryan was more than willing to purchase the song for us to make our day perfect! I found the perfect song for me to walk down the aisle to and all I had to do was put it on our planning forms and he got it for us. He did such a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor during our reception. The music selection was perfect for the crowd that we had! I had so much fun dancing the night away with our friends and family. We wish we could have stayed and danced even longer! SONUS was definitely the right choice and helped make our day everything we could have dreamed of and more! -

I couldn't be more pleased with SONUS Entertainment and the team for our wedding day! Jillian was our DJ as well as their next newest DJ Danny! Jillian's enthusiasm and energy really made a difference on our wedding day. Jillian made sure that our wedding was catered to our taste in music as well as our guests. I was sold on her right away when we first met! We also went with the uplighting package and the Photo Booth where you can text the photos right to your phone, it was a hit!
Also not to mention, SONUS was amazing and allowed us to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and it was so easy to work with them. My original venue even closed and they were willing to even work with us on a new second day if we couldn't find a venue for the rescheduled day.
I couldn't recommend SONUS enough and especially Jillian! Thank you! -

Ryan and the SONUS team were fantastic to work with. We had to reschedule our wedding because of the pandemic, but they were super flexible and helpful. The planning process was easy and they selected the PERFECT music that matched our tastes and preferences. I cannot recommend them enough!! Everything was awesome! -

Sonus was amazing!! The music was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Our guests keep telling us how much fun they had dancing through the night. The timing of songs couldn't have been better and was a good ratio of slow to fast. Ryan and Thomas were wonderful and so kind. They did a great job communicating with us both prior to the wedding and during the event, but also were able to coordinate things on their own without our consistent input. I would recommend Sonus to all of our friends having any events in Columbus. -

We booked Sonus Entertainment for our wedding shortly after we got engaged in Spring 2018. We were actually lucky enough to see their work prior to booking them at a friend’s wedding the year before, and I was very impressed with their DJ and photo booth services. Jason was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, especially since we live out of state. Everything was done online, which, was also all very easy to navigate. Jason got back to me very quickly each time, especially when it was getting closer to the wedding date, and I was sending him a lot of emails with little changes to the timeline! Everything was executed perfectly on the day of, and I did not have to worry about anything because they followed the timeline we had already finalized. We had up-lighting placed behind our head table, which I was able to pick a color for, and then they flashed multiple colors when the party started which really gave it the perfect effect. Tommy, who was actually training, did an amazing job, and you would’ve never guessed he was in training. Both Jason and Tommy were very kind and professional, and kept our guests entertained. The lady working our photo booth was also very nice and enthusiastic. I loved that there were so many options to choose from for the photo booth template as well. Overall, Sonus Entertainment did an amazing job, and I am so happy I chose them. I highly recommend them for your DJ, photo booth and up lighting needs! -

Our wedding DJ was Ryan Jurden of SONUS Entertainment. He was amazing to say the least! Our venue was both indoors & outdoors with 3-separate gathering areas: outdoor ceremony, indoor dining, and indoor/outdoor reception. What, to us, seemed like a lot for one DJ to handle, was executed wonderfully. SONUS was able to provide music/microphones/speakers anywhere we needed throughout the evening, and Ryan transitioned from space to space on schedule and with ease. With a wedding you need everything to run smoothly, and you hope everyone enjoys themselves. Ryan / SONUS made sure this all happened! He stuck to schedule, announced everything correctly, played all the songs you wanted/requested, was extremely enjoyable to have around, and nobody's name was mispronounced. Also, rather than assuming our desired attire, he asked us how he should dress, which we appreciated.
When booking SONUS, you also have a ton of control. You can be as involved with music planning as you wish, or just let the DJ do his/her thing. The online interface is extremely user-friendly, too. Making payments is simple and selecting "must-play" / "do not play" songs for the event is effortless. They can even buy requested songs that aren't in their system (though most are). For example, I'm in a local band, and Ryan bought one of our songs to play as a thoughtful gesture without charging us any additional fees! I can go on-an-on about how happy we are for booking them. So, when planning your event, do yourself a favor and let Ryan and/or SONUS help make it amazing!
Also, the photo-booth service was a hit. I highly recommend purchasing this add-on! (Amount spent is for DJ services only) -

We were so pleased with Sonus and Jillian, who was our DJ! She was so fun and energetic! Most important she kept our wedding on schedule and working along side all our vendors to keep this moving, not only on our timeline but on the dance floor! She helped us to pick all our own music and mixed it together so well, the dance floor was never empty! She even got out on the dance floor with us and we loved it!! -

Jana Sent on 09/14/2017Jason was so great to work with - we met in person before we hired him and again a couple weeks before the wedding to finalize everything. It really helped to have those 1:1 meetings when a lot of vendors want to communicate only on the phone/Email. His website was easy to use and he was very thorough. I had a couple last-minute changes which were easily accommodated and he made the reception flow beautifully and it was FUN! I considered doing my own music on an iPod since I didn't think we'd have much of a dancing crowd, but it was worth every penny to hire a professional - I'm SO SO glad I did - he helped with more than just music - we needed microphones and lighting and general flow of the ceremony, dinner, dancing, and everything in between. Jason was friendly and professional and very responsive...and reasonably priced. He was a huge, important part of my perfect wedding day!
