  Experienced Princeton wedding planner!

  We enjoyed working with Sonja to plan our wedding, and she was amazing when the day ended up being rainy requiring lots of last minute adjustments. She was able to recommend many other top vendors in the Princeton area, and make our whole day come together as we had imagined.

  Incredible!

  Sonja is the BEST! She assisted us with both the wedding and rehearsal dinner, and I highly recommend hiring her for yours, too! She gave great recommendations for vendors who matched our wants perfectly. As a groom living in Alabama while planning a rehearsal dinner in New Jersey, she helped tremendously with finding the perfect caterer and musicians, and she managed the threat of rain on our outdoor event perfectly and provided thoughtful options that ensured a wonderful event but didn't distract from our vision. Most importantly, she let OUR desires drive her recommendations.

  Lucky you if you use Sonja DeGoria!

  We hired Sonja DeGoria Events to plan our daughter's wedding and were unmitigatedly happy that we did. Sonja is a calm, experienced planner who can tune in to what her client wants and help make that happen. She understands what does (and doesn't) need to happen at a given point, is cost-conscious, stays in just the right amount of communication, and has good taste. There was never a time when we felt we were imposing on her, and we were always happy when she was present, which she was whenever we needed her. The day of the wedding was relaxed for everyone because of Sonja.

  We hired Sonja DeGoria Events to plan our daughter's wedding and were unmitigatedly happy that we did.   The perfect planner!

  Sonja was absolutely amazing. We began working with her many months before our wedding, and I truly can't imagine what our day would have been like without her help. We had a pretty specific vision for many parts of our wedding, and she helped us execute them in a way that was better than we could have even imagined. She also helped us think through parts of the day that we hadn't put much thought to, so that every moment of the day felt personal and right for us and our guests. In particular, she helped us be really smart about how to best use our budget - helping identify areas where extra budget would go a long way as well as other areas where we could cut back and it wouldn't have an impact. Without a doubt, we saved by money by working with Sonja. So many guests commented on how perfect every part of the wedding was, and how well the event flowed, and I know she was a huge part of that.

  Couldn't have done it without Sonja!

  We never planned to hire a wedding planner, thinking we could do it all ourselves. We were wrong. Hiring Sonja was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding! She worked seamlessly with our other vendors and was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuine. She expertly navigated one tricky vendor situation the week before our wedding, saving us so much time and angst. But beyond that one thing, just knowing that Sonja was there, making sure everything big and small, seen and unseen, was taken care of, was a huge weight off our shoulders. We were able to relax and enjoy our wedding, knowing that Sonja had all the logistics handled. Thank you, Sonja!

  We cannot be happier with our decision to work with Sonja for our special day. Whether in the weeks leading up to it or the day-of, Sonja was always on top of it. Frankly, she helped us think about things we never thought we would have needed to think about and plan.
  
  Ours was an outdoor wedding in May that quickly turned to 50deg weather with a steady downpour for 2+ days. Working with Sonja ensured we never stressed about anything going wrong/not working out because we knew she and her team would be on top of it.
  
  We cannot recommend Sonja enough. She brings a rare combination of top-rate organization skills, great energy and humor that will make any wedding unforgettable.

She also demonstrated great creativity with novel ideas for wedding items based upon the personality and desires of the bride and groom. We couldn’t imagine Sonja providing a more comprehensive approach to the wedding planning. She also has a great demeanor and worked well with all parties involved. We were very happy with Sonja and very much enjoyed working with her.

  Mother of the Bride

  Sonja was a complete professional and on top of all the necessary details, but also warm, approachable and fun to work with. We all felt relaxed and confident with her overseeing the wedding ceremony and reception. Her pre-event planning had already proven we were in excellent hands. Sonja is incredibly organized, thorough, and thoughtful. She helped coordinate and finalize vendors and timelines, and made the entire weekend run smoothly. I felt like I did not have to worry about a single issue going into the wedding weekend. Highly recommend!!

  This review is so long overdue!! Working with Sonja was truly a joy and thanks to her hard work, positive attitude and immaculate attention to detail, we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day with our loved ones.
  
  Due to the circumstances, my husband and I pivoted from the large wedding we had planned to an intimate Indian outdoor ceremony last August. From the moment that we hired Sonja, she was on top of everything and really went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to have a beautiful, fun and safe wedding!
  
  Sonja is clearly a star at what she does and was a pleasure to work with - I couldn't recommend her more. Thanks for everything Sonja!

  Sonja DeGoria Event Planning

  Sonja did an above and beyond job as my wedding planner. When I had originally planned my wedding with her, it was for 300 people at a farm with a band and all the bells and whistles. When COVID happened and threw us a curve ball, Sonja kicked into action and ended up throwing together a completely different than planned wedding in just two months. The wedding took place in my parents backyard, we had 22 guests and a piano player, and it was the most magical day I could ever dreamed of. I would not have been able to pull it off without her helping me very step of the way. From talking with vendors, to designing "vision boards" (I didn't even know these were a thing) to literally staying the entire day of the wedding and then helping clean up after, Sonja was there. I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone and any wedding. She is truly the best.

  A Magical Day

  Two of my children were married at my home. The first wedding was for 250 people, the second for 23. both events were beautiful affairs due to Sonja. She was able to make each event special with details such as special flatware, glasses or taking an old cabinet and transforming it into a a signature drink bar. It was really with the second wedding, in the midst of COVID-19, that Sonja's expertise was so critical in making what could have been a disaster into a magical day ( one of the bridesmaids quotes) that my daughter will never forget.

  Stop Thinking - Choose Sonja!!

  Made the planning process a breeze!

  To say Sonja was an absolute pleasure to work with would be an understatement. Throughout the entire process she was so knowledgeable, helpful, and determined to make our special day unique and she did just that. She suggested various things throughout the planning process and people are still raving about what a beautiful day it was. Being a planner myself I understand what goes into planning an event, let alone a wedding. Sonja made me feel at ease with everything, and we were continuously reminded why we went with her. Throughout the entire process she was so knowledgeable, helpful, and determined to make our special day unique and she did just that. She suggested various things throughout the planning process and people are still raving about what a beautiful day it was. Being a planner myself I understand what goes into planning an event, let alone a wedding. Sonja made me feel at ease with everything, and we were continuously reminded why we went with her.   Wedding coordinator

  Sonja was invaluable to us at our daughters wedding in October. She executed what we asked for and beyond. She gave great advice before and during the wedding and wrangled a rowdy wedding group so everything went off flawlessly including moving an outdoor ceremony inside at the last moment due to pending rain. She approached both the planning and wedding day coordination with genuine enthusiasm and an ever-ready smile, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and beautifully so that we could enjoy our wedding day.
  
  In the planning stages, Sonja listened eagerly to every idea we shared with her, and helped us realize the wedding we'd dreamed of. She was always honest and clear - when she had questions or concerns about a particular idea, she voiced them with clarity and sensitivity, and helped find a solution that embraced the spirit of what we were after and probably made it work better than our original idea.

She knew that I wanted to stick to the timeline and did everything on the wedding day of to make that happen. She took the time to understand my vision and executed it perfectly. Nothing went wrong and I attribute that to Sonja's calm energy and effective planning and communication. Sonja will do whatever it takes to make sure that your day is everything you want it o be and if any issues arise she will handle them quickly and quietly like the pro that she is!!
