Sonja is the best wedding planner we ever could've asked for!!! She planned our perfect wedding, then had it be executed perfectly! Sonja is such a delightful person and she made the whole wedding planning experience really enjoyable. Her vendor suggestions were all so excellent, zero complaints and nothing but praises for all of them! Her ideas were brilliant, she kept on top of everything, and kept us both sane during the two years of planning. She hammers in that the wedding is about The Couple - something that sounds so obvious but sometimes you really need that reminder. She was there for us the entire planning journey, not just as a planner but as a friend. We can't say enough good things!!! We really credit the huge success of our wedding to her! Our wedding was everything we could ever ask for thanks to Sonja and all her incredible vendors. We absolutely had the perfect wedding! Thank you so much for everything Sonja!!! -

Experienced Princeton wedding planner!
We enjoyed working with Sonja to plan our wedding, and she was amazing when the day ended up being rainy requiring lots of last minute adjustments. She was able to recommend many other top vendors in the Princeton area, and make our whole day come together as we had imagined. -

Lucky you if you use Sonja DeGoria!
We hired Sonja DeGoria Events to plan our daughter's wedding and were unmitigatedly happy that we did. Sonja is a calm, experienced planner who can tune in to what her client wants and help make that happen. She understands what does (and doesn't) need to happen at a given point, is cost-conscious, stays in just the right amount of communication, and has good taste. There was never a time when we felt we were imposing on her, and we were always happy when she was present, which she was whenever we needed her. The day of the wedding was relaxed for everyone because of Sonja. -

Sonja was absolutely amazing. We began working with her many months before our wedding, and I truly can't imagine what our day would have been like without her help. We had a pretty specific vision for many parts of our wedding, and she helped us execute them in a way that was better than we could have even imagined. She also helped us think through parts of the day that we hadn't put much thought to, so that every moment of the day felt personal and right for us and our guests. In particular, she helped us be really smart about how to best use our budget - helping identify areas where extra budget would go a long way as well as other areas where we could cut back and it wouldn't have an impact. Without a doubt, we saved by money by working with Sonja. So many guests commented on how perfect every part of the wedding was, and how well the event flowed, and I know she was a huge part of that. -

My fiancé and I hired Sonja for her "month-of coordination" services, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process! Sonja is incredibly organized, thorough, and thoughtful. She helped coordinate and finalize vendors and timelines, and made the entire weekend run smoothly. I felt like I did not have to worry about a single issue going into the wedding weekend. Highly recommend!! -

Perfection
Sonja was a dream to worn with. She was calm, attentive, caring, and honest. She made my husband, myself, and family vision come to life. Her ability to manage a team, work well with vendors, and stay so organized is beyond impressive. She did so much behind the scenes so make my day flow smoothly. Perfection
Sonja was perfect. She was calm, responsive, caring, and attentive. She listened to everything me, my husband, and my family wanted. She worked well with every vendor and always made things flow smoothly. Her organization and experience made her so wary to count on. It was just an added that she is funny, joyous, and has a great eye for design. All of her suggestions never let me down and her guidance was immeasurable. I would hire her again and again. -

A true godsend!
After dealing with the stressors of COVID-19 and last minute changing our venue to my parent's backyard, we knew we needed some extra help to get everything done. I was familiar with Sonja's work, as she planned my best friend's wedding, and instantly fell in love with her effortless nature. I had also read her reviews, and now have seen for the second time using her for my own wedding, that everything people had been saying about her proved true and then some! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner than Sonja. She was so easy to communicate with that I instantly felt like I was working with a friend I had known forever. Sonja was flexible, accommodating, responsive, thoughtful, detail-oriented and truly passionate about making our visions come to life. Our wedding turned out better than we could have ever dreamed, and we have Sonja to thank. I would recommend her to all future brides! She is simply the best. -

Worth every penny!!
I was the person that didn't think we needed a wedding planner. I'm fairly organized and often host parties at our home. We went from having a larger wedding at a venue to having a medium size event in our backyard. Everything was pretty much done, or so I thought. My daughter had already met Sonja DeGoria at another wedding and she suggested we hire Sonja so that when it came to the actual day of, I could enjoy it without worrying about the details. She was invaluable to all of us from the moment she came on board. Her knowledge, experience and enthusiastic personality put us all at ease and allowed us to enjoy the special moments instead of worrying about the details. When set up began, she was the person that came early and went home late and always made you feel as if you were hanging out with a friend while you figured it all out. Sonja is the wedding planner that everyone hopes they find and I would recommend her to all brides what ever your situation. She's truly the best. -

In 2013 my husband and I hired Sonja to plan and oversea our vowel reunion.
She literally did everything from the flowers, catering, band, decorations, photo booth and enclosed tents with air-conditioning. The attention to detail in the planning was above and beyond our expectations. She has also planned and executed many parties for us from fundraisers to celebrating occasions.
We would highly recommend her and will never use any other event planner other than her.

Sonja is amazing!
I could not have imagined my wedding day without Sonja. From the very beginning, she helped to ease any stress that I felt. She knew that I wanted to stick to the timeline and did everything on the wedding day of to make that happen. She took the time to understand my vision and executed it perfectly. Nothing went wrong and I attribute that to Sonja's calm energy and effective planning and communication. Sonja will do whatever it takes to make sure that your day is everything you want it o be and if any issues arise she will handle them quickly and quietly like the pro that she is!! -

To say Sonja was an absolute pleasure to work with would be an understatement. Throughout the entire process she was so knowledgeable, helpful, and determined to make our special day unique and she did just that. She suggested various things throughout the planning process and people are still raving about what a beautiful day it was. Being a planner myself I understand what goes into planning an event, let alone a wedding. Sonja made me feel at ease with everything, and we were continuously reminded why we went with her. Having Sonja as a part of our wedding was the best decision we made! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to execute our vision and the most special day of our lives. Sonja has a great personality making her very easy to work with. She presents herself with professionalism, patience and willingness to go above and beyond which was a constant throughout the planning process. Being a couple who love the beach and the ocean, she was able to use her creativity to draw a reflection of our personalities and causing the wedding to be that much more unique. Sonja also has an impressive network of contacts that are at the top of their industry and we thoroughly enjoyed working with all the vendors she referred. We hope to continue to work with Sonja in the future to celebrate other life changing events.

Amazing wedding coordinator!
We hired Sonja as our month-of coordinator and highly recommend her! Sonja was very easy to work with and helped us stay optimistic throughout the various stresses of wedding planning, including when we postponed our wedding for a year. We really appreciated that Sonja is very friendly and upbeat and committed to giving you the wedding of your dreams while also being very down-to-earth and practical. We met with Sonja a few times early on in the wedding process, but she really kicked in in the month beforehand - she attended all meetings with us (in person and over the phone) in the final weeks. In addition to making sure all our plans were in order during these meetings, Sonja acted as our advocate and made sure all our questions were asked and opinions were heard. This was SO helpful, especially when we were getting too overwhelmed to keep track of everything. Most importantly, on the day of the wedding itself, we knew that Sonja was on top of everything and we could just relax and enjoy the day. When we got to our venue, Sonja gave us the bad news that it was going to rain during the ceremony, so we would have to move the ceremony from the lawn to the tented dance floor. This was initially really dissapointing, but once we saw how efficiently Sonja and the venue staff were able to move the ceremony setup and how beautiful they were able to make it, we knew everything would be okay. Keeping everyone under the tent and on the covered patio ended up making the evening really intimate, and the rain created a beautifully misty ambiance. It's all thanks to Sonja - she magically turned bad weather into a very special and positive experience! Everything went smoothly from there, and Sonja stayed till the very end, making sure we got on our bus to the afterparty and that all of our flowers and everything else got packed up and sent home with the right people. We had an absolutely amazing wedding and would love to do it all over again. Sonja is great! We found that having a month-of coordinator was absolutely essential. We only wish we would have hired Sonja for one of her more complete planning packages! Highly recommend. -

Sonja really helped alleviate our pre-wedding anxiety by taking care of all month of coordination leading up to the big day. She also made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of so we could focus on what was important - getting married to each other!
