We would definitely recommend Sonic Rue! They were professional, easy to communicate with, and executed our vision perfectly! Chris is organized and had an easy form for us to complete ahead of time, and was happy to include or leave out any songs we wanted! He was accommodating and played music outdoors for our ceremony and indoors for our reception! He also played the saxophone LIVE during cocktail hour, which everyone absolutely loved! -

"Working with Chris and the Sonic Rue team was seamless from start to finish. He handled not just the music, but also our Photo Booth and Audio Guest Book, and everything ran perfectly.
He did an amazing job blending our specific music requests (Dancehall and Reggae!) into the night, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy the music which made the vibe even better. He also sent us the digital files for the photos and audio messages incredibly fast after the wedding. Highly recommend him for a stress-free, high-energy experience! -

Chris is very quick to respond to any questions and the pricing is very reasonable. We got the package where we had DJ and live saxophonist the entire night. It was amazing. If you are considering which package to do I highly recommend the one with live saxophonist!
He played along to a variety of songs and he got right in the middle of the dance floor which was awesome and so much fun. Our guests kept saying how much fun they were having and how the saxophone made it even better. 1000/10 recommend!! -

10 out of 10!! Chris was absolutely amazing for our wedding!! He was professional, organized, responsive and so kind. Good music that kept people on the dance floor all night, was very important to my husband and I. And Chris did just that! The dance floor was absolutely packed from start to finish. The photobooth was so much fun and the crowd loved it. Chris was so fabulous, I ended up getting my sister to also book him for her wedding next year. We cannot thank you enough for being a huge part of our perfect day! If you book with Sonic Rue, you will not be disappointed 🤍 -

Sonic Rue was very easy to coordinate with and would highly recommend them. We did the DJ package with the ceremony having live music (piano and violin), DJ for reception and also live Saxaphone roaming around the dance floor which really hyped up the party. We had a call about 3-4 weeks before the wedding to run through everything with how we wanted everything and Chris did a great job accommodating everything. Chris was the DJ and a awesome sax player. He brought an assistant with him to be the DJ while he was was on sax. He also did a great job getting our wedding party together to line everyone up appropriately as well as keeping up with same day changes. Thank you Chris for a very fun night! -

Planning for this wedding, selecting a great DJ was a very important priority of mine. I am very particular about my music and have several small details/instructions that I wanted followed to a T. Not only did Chris select great music to keep everyone on the dance floor, but he followed every little nitpicky instruction I gave him perfectly. I wanted a DJ scratch between two songs- he did it. I wanted a fade out at a particular time during our first dance - he did it. My mother in law had detailed instructions for how she wanted a polka song played - he did it. I loved the music, loved his responsiveness, and felt that our wedding had the most packed dance floor I've seen of the dozen or so I've been to. One last thing I loved- he was very adept at selecting the order of songs. Sometimes there might be a slight lull, e.g. if there was a slower song, and then he would pick the perfect song to bring the energy right back up. I can't recommend Chris and Sonic Rue enough - if you hire them you'll be very happy you did. -

We used Sonic Rue (Jackson) for our daughter's wedding and he was fantastic. His demeanor was professional, and he managed the sound system and program just as we had hoped. He was very responsive even last minute and remained calm with final changes at the reception. I would highly recommend Sonic Rue!

Sonic Rue and their team made our wedding day perfect. They were quick to respond and ensured all of our needs were met! Jackson was our DJ and he was absolutely incredible and our guests loved the music and lights!! Amazing DJ!
Sonic Rue did an amazing job at our wedding! The communication we had was amazing and made sure the music we wanted was played throughout the night. He made it seem like our wedding was a wedding he was doing for a close friend and did an exceptional job making sure everyone was on the dance floor. A night to remember
Cannot rave enough about having Chris DJ our wedding! Having him and his partner John play the saxophone at cocktail hour and throughout the reception made the night extra special. Chris made planning a long distance wedding super easy with great communication and an easy to use spreadsheet and was very accommodating to all special requests. We've already heard so many compliments from guests regarding the saxophonist and music! Do not miss your chance to work with DJ Sonic Rue!

Chris helped make our New Year's Eve wedding an absolute blast. From facilitating our ceremony, accommodating our requests, and keeping our guests dancing all the way to midnight and later, we can't thank him enough. Chris diligently communicated with us in the lead up to the wedding, answering all of our questions, and providing an itinerary to help us plan out our night. We would recommend his services to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding or any event.

This was one of our best wedding decisions. Not only was he amazing and far exceeded our greatest expectations - but time and again was able to guide us on items we did not even know we needed to be thinking of.
During all of this, he made it easy to customize and develop each part of our wedding to make sure every moment flowed smoothly. Even better he accommodated when it went off track due to my amazingly wonderful and completely chaotic family.
He was able to provide a plethora of options as well, including a photo booth, live jazz artist, any and all lighting options, the emcee, plus of course the actual music aspect where he was able to provide a perfect mood for pre ceremony, post ceremony, reception, everything.
He was very responsive, but not pushy on moving us along (we are terrible procrastinators juggling a bunch of things).
I truly could not recommend this vendor enough if you are looking to book for any event but especially for your upcoming wedding! I can talk until I am blue in the face with compliments of how he made our wedding perfect! -

Chris was absolutely amazing to work with. He is very talented, as he performs live jazz music and also DJs. Our wedding started off with jazz for cocktail hour and then he went over to the DJ after. He’s very reliable and down to earth. The photo booth was a huge hit. I really loved how he was able to put a custom photo on the screen of the photo booth camera. He even brought cool props that were also a huge hit. The photos were printed off right there for our photo guestbook. He also emailed us the high resolution photos the very next day.
I would 100% recommend him to anyone…Thank you Chris! Everyone commented on how fun the wedding was and we all know the music was the main contributor! -

Class Act and Saved the Day
Chris was extremely professional, and easy going. Communication was 5 stars leading up to the wedding, and during the event. Kept the party going, took requests on the fly, and had a great sense of humor (definitely helpful during a high stress event).
He also saved the day when the in-house audio system failed during the bridal party announcements. He quickly found the issue, and was able to bypass their system and used his own system to keep things on track. The guests didn't notice a thing!
Chris was very flexible to our needs even when our plans changed a couple times.
If you want a seamless headache free experience, I would highly recommend Chris, and his team. -

We hired Chris for our wedding after he came highly recommended by a colleague. At the time we hired him we knew he was a “word of mouth” DJ who didn’t advertise, and also did a lot of work for other companies. After our wedding we were so perplexed why someone of this caliber wasn’t putting themselves out there! The man was throughly incredible! So supportive and personable, and we couldn’t have asked for better. We were so glad to hear when Chris reached out to us for a review that he decided to pursue this venture. Sonic Rue all the way! -

Absolutely Amazing DJ. We hired Chris to DJ our wedding and we couldn't have asked for better. Amazing interpersonal skills, positive attitude and very responsive. Anytime we reached out during planning stages, we received a reply within minutes. He was professional, detail oriented when planning and following our timeline and absolutely killed it during open dance. The floor was packed all night. We would recommend 100%! -

We were extremely happy with Chris's work providing music and sound for our wedding. Chris took care of the sound services for our ceremony, then hopped in to play with the jazz quartet during cocktails, then came back to DJ for dinner and dancing. He was very easy to communicate with and work with. We were able to share music and he had suggestions when we weren't quite sure what we wanted. Overall we were so happy we worked with Chris on our wedding day. -

We used Christopher as our wedding DJ and it was the best decision for our big day - he made sure the sound was perfect for every aspect of the day and night. I pretty much only gave him a small “do not” play list (no country) and his choice in music was absolutely spot on. Dinner playlist was classic yet modern and the reception was one big dance party! We had so many guests tell us afterwards that said they didn’t leave the dance floor. He brought enough speakers to really give the sound we wanted and was the perfect Emcee! Absolutely recommend 200%!
