  Highly Recommend!!

  Sonic Rue and their team made our wedding day perfect. They were quick to respond and ensured all of our needs were met! Jackson was our DJ and he was absolutely incredible and our guests loved the music and lights!! He did a great job helping us stick to our timeline and was extremely flexible when changes needed to be made. We will be recommending Sonic Rue to all of our friends!   We just had sonic rue dj our wedding. He was extremely responsiveness and had everything laid out amazing. He is so enjoyable

  Would recommend!

  I would most definitely recommend Sonic Rue. Chris was attentive and extremely responsive. We made our own playlists on Spotify, and Chris mixed them up well! We really appreciated his relaxed, but professional approach to everything, and he was amenable to every request we made during the planning process. He uses a very helpful shared doc to make sure there’s no confusion, and communication was on point.

  Amazing DJ!

  Sonic Rue did an amazing job at our wedding! The communication we had was amazing and made sure the music we wanted was played throughout the night. He made it seem like our wedding was a wedding he was doing for a close friend and did an exceptional job making sure everyone was on the dance floor. Thank you so much for making our wedding amazing and giving us so many memories to cherish forever.

  Cannot rave enough about having Chris DJ our wedding! Having him and his partner John play the saxophone at cocktail hour and throughout the reception made the night extra special. Chris made planning a long distance wedding super easy with great communication and an easy to use spreadsheet and was very accommodating to all special requests.   Book with Chris!

  Chris was incredible to work with- extremely responsive, communicative, and transparent with everything from the start. I loved having a shared Google doc that we could add to in the months leading up to the wedding. My husband and I skipped the first dance and instead performed a song on keys and fiddle, and Chris was amazing with our sound check and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the equipment we needed. During the open dance time he kept everyone on the dance floor and supplemented our list with his expert recommendations. So glad we went with Chris and highly recommend for any couple planning a wedding!

  Sonic Rue (Chris) was amazing. He was extremely attentive and responsive when I needed anything at all.   Stress free fun DJ!

  After reaching out to may vendors we picked Chris due to his outstanding reviews, great communication and straight forward pricing. After we signed a contract we were given a from that made sure we had all of our song selections covered. The day of Chris showed up early, having already communicated with the venue. He was flexible with our schedule and went out of his way to make our evening perfect. The music selection was great, kept the dancefloor full and everyone had a wonderful time.

  Exceeded my expectations!

  Chris was so easy to work with, every time I had questions or needed suggestions on how something worked or how to format our ceremony/reception, he was quick to respond and always gave his honest feedback. DJ Jake was our DJ the day of the wedding and he was awesome too! He made sure everything was going to plan and checked in with us as needed. He was funny and entertained our guests as well as played the perfect dancing music. We also used the photobooth service that all the guests enjoyed. The photos were available right away as well as a digital copy emailed to us. I would highly recommend Sonic Rue any day.

  Highly recommended!

  I recently had the pleasure of having Jackson with Sonic Rue DJ for my wedding and I have to say, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Jackson exceeded all of my expectations.
  
  First off, Chris got started with the planning process and with our planning itinerary. It was a breeze. A few weeks from the wedding we met with Jackson and he took the time to really understand the vibe we were going for and made suggestions that helped to elevate the overall atmosphere of the wedding.
  
  On the day of they arrived early and set up without any issues, making sure everything was perfect before the guests arrived. The music selection was spot on. Jackson played a great mix of songs that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. The transitions were smooth and the energy was high throughout the night. He even took requests from our guests and managed to seamlessly incorporate them into the playlist.
  
  We also added the photo booth to our package and it was a hit with our guests. The props were awesome, they had great backgrounds and custom photo strips to choose from. Not only do they have the prints right there, the next day we were sent a file of jpegs from every photo from the booth throughout the night and they all showed what a great time our friends and family had.
  
  What really the whole experience apart was their professional demeanor and attention to detail. They made sure to keep the night flowing smoothly and kept in constant communication with the other vendors to ensure everything ran on schedule.
  
  In short, if you're looking for a wedding DJ that will take your special day to the next level, look no further than Sonic Rue.   Hire If Available

  This was one of our best wedding decisions. Not only was he amazing and far exceeded our greatest expectations - but time and again was able to guide us on items we did not even know we needed to be thinking of.
  
  During all of this, he made it easy to customize and develop each part of our wedding to make sure every moment flowed smoothly. Even better he accommodated when it went off track due to my amazingly wonderful and completely chaotic family.
  
  He was able to provide a plethora of options as well, including a photo booth, live jazz artist, any and all lighting options, the emcee, plus of course the actual music aspect where he was able to provide a perfect mood for pre ceremony, post ceremony, reception, everything.
  
  He was very responsive, but not pushy on moving us along (we are terrible procrastinators juggling a bunch of things).
  
  I truly could not recommend this vendor enough if you are looking to book for any event but especially for your upcoming wedding! I can talk until I am blue in the face with compliments of how he made our wedding perfect!

  Chris was absolutely amazing to work with. He is very talented, as he performs live jazz music and also DJs. Our wedding started off with jazz for cocktail hour and then he went over to the DJ after. He’s very reliable and down to earth. The photo booth was a huge hit. I really loved how he was able to put a custom photo on the screen of the photo booth camera. He even brought cool props that were also a huge hit. The photos were printed off right there for our photo guestbook. He also emailed us the high resolution photos the very next day.

  Best DJ in the Finger Lakes!

  Chris from Sonic Rue was amazing to work with. From our initial emails and phone call to the end of our wedding he was extremely organized, attentive to detail and professional. Right after we booked him for the wedding he sent a very detailed outline which we filled out both on our own and during the several phone calls we had with him leading up to the wedding. In addition to DJing the wedding he also provided a jazz band for the cocktail hour and played the saxophone. We got so many compliments on the live music; it sounded amazing and really elevated the cocktail hour and made it more elegant. He also kept the dance floor crowded all night and our family and friends loved the music he played. Overall he is great at what he does.   We used Christopher as our wedding DJ and it was the best decision for our big day - he made sure the sound was perfect for every aspect of the day and night. I pretty much only gave him a small “do not” play list (no country) and his choice in music was absolutely spot on. Dinner playlist was classic yet modern and the reception was one big dance party! We had so many guests tell us afterwards that said they didn’t leave the dance floor. He brought enough speakers to really give the sound we wanted and was the perfect Emcee! Absolutely recommend 200%!

  July wedding

  We had Chris for our wedding this past July and we were so happy with what a great job he did!! We got a lot complements on the music from many of our guests. He was very considerate of the types of music we wanted and payed attention to all of the small details. Everything went smoothly and you could tell that he’s an experienced dj. So happy we chose him for such an important day. Highly recommend!!

At the time we hired him we knew he was a “word of mouth” DJ who didn’t advertise, and also did a lot of work for other companies. After our wedding we were so perplexed why someone of this caliber wasn’t putting themselves out there! The man was throughly incredible! So supportive and personable, and we couldn’t have asked for better. We were so glad to hear when Chris reached out to us for a review that he decided to pursue this venture. Sonic Rue all the way!

Chris took care of the sound services for our ceremony, then hopped in to play with the jazz quartet during cocktails, then came back to DJ for dinner and dancing. He was very easy to communicate with and work with. We were able to share music and he had suggestions when we weren't quite sure what we wanted. Overall we were so happy we worked with Chris on our wedding day.
