Wedding block and transportation for wedding

We used the Wyndham for the our wedding block and for transportation for our wedding. Marianne was amazing throughout the entire process! We had to keep adding rooms because we had not anticipated the amount of guests that would stay over, and she was so helpful and responsive. As for transportation, Kenny and the team did a great job in transporting our guests to the reception, the church, and other downtown areas. Thank you so much for helping us during our wedding weekend! Lastly, we used Vanderbilt's for the after party and it was so much fun! There is plenty of space for all guests, with pool tables, a dance floor, and outdoor space. It was perfect. Thank you Marianne, Kenny, and all who helped make our weekend special!

We used Hamilton Park for guest accommodations during our wedding weekend, and they were wonderful! Marianne was so helpful and communicative all year long. Their transportation department made sure we were well taken care of and provided transportation for just about everything! Everything went very smoothly and the guests were very happy! Everyone also enjoyed going to Vanderbilt's every night for more fun. Thank you so much!

My husband and I had our wedding at Hamilton Park Hotel 10/14/17. Throughout the whole process I worked with Laurie Guerrero, Catering Manager. She was awesome! Very responsive to my millions of random questions and great to work with overall.
Getting Ready- I was lucky enough to get the presidential suite to get ready in. It's a huge separate living room-plenty of space to get 8 people looking beautiful. It's also connected to a large bedroom next door. It was a beautiful space for bridal portraits, plenty of natural light and floor to ceiling windows.
Hotel rooms- my guests were all happy with their rooms- the hotel was just renovated in March 2017 so rooms were fresh and clean.
Ceremony- we held our ceremony in the courtyard and it was certainly beautiful, although kind of small. I had 127 guests and it was a little tight but everyone fit.
Cocktail hour- we had the study outside of the ballroom set up for a private cocktail hour for the bridal party- and they even had a separate bar for us! I wasn’t expecting that and it was definitely necessary and appreciated!
Food- we were blown away by the food! We got to try everything at the tasting. The food at the wedding was just as good. We had the Colorado leg of lamb for a carving station and that was probably the best food at the cocktail hour.
Drinks- absolutely awesome! They used all top shelf liquor and let us have a silent 2nd silent signature drink for my mom and her friends.
Overall- great experience planning and executing! The maître d and the wait staff the day of made sure everything ran smoothly.

We hosted our wedding on 9/29/17 at the Wyndham Hamilton Park and I do not even know where to begin thanking all of the staff there but especially Laurie Guerrero, our maitre d' Lauren and our server Maggie. Laurie was amazing from the very beginning. No question was too silly for her to respond to and she was always prompt and reassuring. She remembered every detail of what we wanted and was just a delight to work with! When we booked this venue, it was still undergoing major renovations, which came out beautiful. Our confidence in her played a HUGE role in booking. She went above and beyond to make us happy. Lauren our maitre d' was perfect! She ran the whole day without a single thing going wrong and was so attentive and calming, especially when I felt overwhelmed. Maggie, our server at the tasting and wedding day was so kind and on top-of things. Her personality just puts you in a happy mood. The day of the wedding she took such great care of us. I honestly would have forgotten to eat if it was not for her.. and thank goodness I did because the food/drinks were excellent. I highly recommend this venue to any couple, especially if you are planning on arranging hotel rooms for your guests. The rooms were great, our presidential suite was huge and a beautiful place to take getting ready photos. They also have Vanderbilt's sports bar attached to the hotel that does a great after party. I could honestly go on and on. Thank you so much for making our day perfect, we didn't want it to end!

We knew from the start that choosing a wedding venue was going to be the most difficult and the most important part of the wedding planning process. Everything you do depends on the venue and all of your other vendors have to work with your venue. It is also the most memorable part of the wedding experience.

When we started hunting we went to all the typical specialized wedding venues and they all came across as stuffy. They knew they were going to fill every weekend and they had their system laid out and were unwilling to budge or make compromises because if you didn't take the date on their terms someone else would. And they all hit you with the used car salesmen style method which made us uncomfortable.

Then we met Tara at the Wyndham Park Hamilton Hotel and everything fell into place. We immediately fell in love with her and wanted her to handle our wedding. The hotel itself was great, and checked a lot of boxes for us in that we wouldn't need to shuttle everyone and could have the ceremony no site, but they also have a fantastic bar for the after party and of course plenty of rooms for the guests so we would not have to worry about transportation or people's safety.

Throughout the entire process, right down to the first meeting Tara was by far the best vendor we worked with for our wedding and the best vendor we met during our many searches. She was organized, responsive and knowledgeable. She was very receptive to any customization requests and quickly took care of all our crazy last minute changes. She was proactive with us and all of our vendors and made the entire wedding planning process a breeze and stress free on our end.

The day of our wedding went smoothly and everyone was extremely accommodating. Our guests were all amazed at the quality of service they received compared to other weddings they have been to. Overall, it was the best decision we made for our wedding and working with Tara was part of our planning experience.

We had the most amazing wedding at the Hamilton Park Hotel in July 2016. Everyone from the front desk to the chef to the catering manager Tara made sure that everything was perfect for us and our guests the entire weekend we were at the hotel. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great place to have their wedding.

My husband and I married on June 27, 2014. We knew we wanted a venue with an indoor/outdoor flow, where all our guests could stay safely for the night and could even accommodate an after party. It was exactly what we wanted. From the moment we met Senior Catering Sales Manager Nicole Nelson we had a good feeling. She was so down to earth. She was very calm and realistic and really worked with us so that we could the most value for our money. Whenever I called or emailed (which I did a lot) she was so prompt to respond and I don't think she ever said no to anything - she made everything we wanted work. We were fortunate enough to be able to marry outside in the courtyard which was so beautifully lush with flowers and greens. We really didn't need much more than the chairs and altar vases to complete the look. Cocktail hour flowed in and out, there was plenty of food and drink to go around. The reception was wonderful. Food was delicious. I remember before the wedding questioning certain things and Nicole would reassure me that they would turn out great and they did. From menu to lighting to cake, etc... it was perfect. She really knows her stuff! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I didn’t have to ask for anything, it was like they were watching and knew what I needed. After the reception, we all convened at the lounge in the hotel – Vanderbilt’s - where they were very accommodating as well. It was great to have our family and friends stay with us and not have to worry about driving home or catching a shuttle. In fact, the night before the wedding, we also had the rehearsal dinner in Vanderbilt’s. Again, Nicole worked with us on a buffet menu, drinks choices, etc... something that worked within our budget and it too, was wonderful. It was just what we wanted. I would highly recommend the Wyndham Hamilton Park Hotel. It was a perfect fit for us. It just felt right. Thanks to Nicole and the staff there, it was exactly what we wante

My partner and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here in September of last year. We could not have been more pleased with our special day. JoAnne Mitchko was our wedding coordinator and she was incredible. She was there with us every step of the way to make sure that we had the most memorable experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our ceremony was held outside in the garden and was absolutely gorgeous. We were able to purchase and uplighting package that really made all of the difference for outside. The cocktail hour was held right inside the patio area. The food was delicious! We received compliment throughout the night on how great the food was and how amazing the staff was as well. The reception banquet room looked beautiful. Everything that we asked for we definitely got. Being a same sex couple, we were a little worried about how the venue would handle and accept that and we were made to feel right at home. There was no judgement in any way and we were truly treated as equals. The ONLY negative thing that I have to say, which doesn't even have to do with our wedding event, is about the bar that is attached to the hotel called Vanderbilts. This hotel and bar were fully aware of our wedding that weekend. I had been advertising to my guests that after the reception we can head over to Vanderbilts to keep the party going and continue on with our drinks. Any normal bar in this area is open until 2 am, however, the previous night (thursday) and the night of our wedding (friday) the staff was breaking things down early so that they could leave. Now coming from a serving/bartending background, if you have a group of people that are coming and willing to spend their money and tip really well, why wouldn't you stay open until closing and make money? The staffed seemed annoyed and proceeded to close early. It was sort of a buzz kill at the end of a great night.
Overall we had an amazing experience here and we highly recommend this beautiful facility!

The Hamilton Park Hotel is a fantastic place to have your wedding reception. The place is gorgeous, the staff was so friendly, and the food was amazing. Joanne, our wedding coordinator, did a great job in preparing everything and reminding you of things you may not have though of. We highly recommend this place if you are thinking of having your wedding reception there!

We were recently married at the Hamilton Park Hotel on November 9, 2013. It was a one-stop for our wedding weekend. The rehearsal dinner friday, the ceremony saturday followed by the cocktail hour and reception all in one location. We absolutely loved the venue - every detail was perfect. The entire event team from Joanne to Scott, the chefs, and everyone in between were absolutely wonderful to work with. Joanne was attentive and answered emails immediately. They worked with us to create the perfect ambiance and menu. The food was OUTRAGEOUS. Everyone was commenting on how delicious everything was. I felt like a celebrity all day, everyone was attending to my every need.

The only thing to watch for - if you plan on having your rehearsal dinner and want the private room in Arrive Restaurant, make sure to book it when you book your event. We were unaware of this and the private room was booked the night before our wedding. It turned out to be fine because we wound up having the entire restaurant to ourselves :)

I would recommend this venue to anyone. And ask for Joanne! She is a sweetheart and will absolutely make your day as special as possible!

Hamilton Park Hotel made our rehearsal dinner and wedding day so special and memorable! We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect wedding and have them to thank for that. They were so easy to work with and were there to help in any way they could. Their presence did not go unnoticed on Friday when we checked in and then again all of our wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly. I can only hope one of our guests that also raved about the venue will choose to host an event there so we can enjoy everything all over again. We have gotten so many compliments on the food and the overall service! Their attention to detail helped capture everything we were picturing and the setup was everything we could have hoped for. JoAnne, Scott and the entire staff at Hamilton Park exceeded our expectations and made such a memorable event even more special.

When planning our wedding the bar had been set high. It was going to be an interfaith & multicultural wedding and it was important that both of our religions and cultures be represented.

When we walked into the Hotel, we knew it was perfect. We had a large number of out-of-town guests and this hotel lends itself to large groups, in an intimate, comfortable and very attractive way.

JoAnne Mitchko, Director of Catering, worked closely with us to make our vision a reality and she succeeded in creating the wedding we had hoped for.
JoAnne and Nicole worked closely with the chefs to help craft a special menu. JoAnne teamed up with our florist to help create a most beautiful setting. Planning a large wedding certainly came with some stress but working with JoAnne made the process fun and enjoyable.

The food was absolutely delicious. The kitchen staff was flexible, open to new idea, and willing to make modifications. We wanted a unique dessert table and Scot Tregaskis helped design it for us. Scott Kappmeier incorporated a special side dish for the cultural mix and wanted to be sure all food was perfect for us. Kate was on duty the night of the wedding, behind tghe scenes, she made sure it all went smoothly.

"Vanderbilts Bar and Lounge" in the hotel was an excellent bonus for our pre-wedding gathering on Friday night. The breakfast buffet on Sunday at "Arrive" restaurant in the hotel was bountiful and delicious. Jessica was attentive and kind both at both gatherings.

Amelia Henry, Reservations Coordinator, was helpful and courteous whenever we had a question about our guests' rooms.

While I didn't have a vision of my "dream" wedding, our wedding was better than anything I could have wished for. We wish we could go back, and do that whole weekend all over again.

There were a few things I wasn't willing to compromise on for my wedding, I wanted the ceremony and reception at a hotel, so that everyone could stay over and not have to be shuttled around all day. I also wanted to ensure that our guests had great food and service. I found all of these things with Hamilton Park Hotel as everything I ate that night was DELICIOUS and served by the nicest wait staff, especially Maggie. JoAnne was great with pre-wedding planning and was flexible with the menu options, even creating a new option of mini white cheddar mac and cheese portions to be passed around during cocktail hour. She was always just a call or email away while planning the many details of the wedding. Scott was on top of everything during the actual ceremony and reception, when I entered the ballroom for the first time, I was speechless. A new patio area was a nice spot for photos and the bridal suite was beautiful as well. Everyone had a great time and we are thankful to the hotel for all their hard work and friendliness. The breakfast buffet was also great :-)

This place was amazing! Have never been there before I was pleasantly surpirsed upon finding them! The place was such a steal, the prices were fabulous and the service was even better. Dealing with JoAnne Mitchko was a pleasure. She always responded to my calls and e-mails immediately. The day of the wedding could not have gone any smoother. The room looked amazing and Scott and Jessica took such good care of me and my husband along with our families and friends! They knew exactly what needed to be done and got it done. The courtyard outside had amazing fardens and fountains that made for some great pictures! If i had to do it again I would do it exactly the same! This place is amazing! Love Love Love them! A+ for sure!!!

Our wedding reception was at the Hamilton Park Hotel. We were provided with excellent service from the start. Working with the coordinator to plan the wedding was very easy; they were flexible about meeting with us and working with us, which was important since we live in VA, not NJ.
The reception went so smoothly from the time we arrived after pictures until the end of the night. The servers at the wedding were fabulous. Our guests even complimented the excellent service.
I would definitely recommend this location for a reception to anyone who asks.

I had the reception for my wedding in July at the Hamilton Park Hotel. It was amazing. JoAnne was our main contact throughout the whole process and she was such a pleasure to work with. Wedding planning is very stressful and she always made me feel at ease. When the actual day came, everything was done perfectly. The food was excellent. I wish I could go back to my cocktail hour and keep enjoying the food :). The staff provided a level of service that exceeded all my expectations. After the wedding it was great to be able to hang out longer at the hotel bar there. This is the place to get married!

INCREDIBLE!!!! Joanne, Kate, Scot, Tara, Jessica, and everyone on staff here made our entire wedding experience phenomenal. From the 1st day we came to look at the hotel, we loved the modern look of the venue and the ballroom and just how incredibly organized the staff was. We originally had started working with Kate and after she changed positions, we worked with Joanne. I cant even put into words how helpful she was. She knew absolutely everything we wanted on our wedding day and made it happen. It was the most beautiful wedding ever! Joanne even went out of her way to color coordinate the cocktail hour flowers for me to match the rest of my wedding. I had quite a few DIY items I wanted displayed in certain ways for our wedding and they all were absolutely perfect the day of. The staff listens to every single concern and request you may have and makes sure they take care of it. On the day of the wedding, every single guest was attended to right away, the food is out of this world amazing, and the wedding ran absolutely perfectly thanks to Joanne and all the wonderful staff. And we LOVED having our wedding at this hotel- we had an amazing afterparty at Vanderbilts so the party didn’t have to stop and everyone was able to have a beautiful (and delicious) breakfast the next day in the hotel as well. I felt like we had an amazing wedding weekend with all our guests instead of just a rushed reception. I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here- you cant go wrong and they will make sure you have an absolutely amazing day! They also only do one wedding per day, which we loved and so many of our guests continue to say this is the “best wedding they have ever been to!”

We are so pleased with our experience at Hamilton Park. Working with JoAnne was so easy and enjoyable. Anytime I'd email her a question, no matter how small it was, and she'd get back to me immediately. We felt like we were her only wedding, even though they have at least one there each weekend! She took care of all the details and my husband and I, as well as our families, were able to just enjoy every second of the reception. Anything we needed she or the staff at Hamilton Park were there to help. We're still getting so many compliments from our guests about the service, the food, and the great time they had at our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

I cannot say enough great things about Hamilton Park Hotel. We had our rehearsal dinner, reception, and breakfast the next morning. It was simply amazing, from the delicious food to the top-notch staff to the gorgeous rooms for our guests (at a great price too). Kate Springmeyer Paglio made the entire planning process smooth and easy, offering suggestions and advice that helped us pull off the "best wedding ever" according to our friends and family. I always received prompt replies from Kate to any phone calls or emails, and she went out of her way to coordinate special meals for two guests with severe food allergies. Jessica, our coordinator for the rehearsal dinner, was so sweet and helpful, which set the tone for the entire weekend. Scott, the maitre 'd for the reception, managed to keep the reception running smoothly while always asking us our preferences (what time to do the toast, when to do the cake sutting). We never felt rushed, and we got to enjoy our wedding OUR way. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, listening to our guests rave about having the time of their lives. We would highly recommend Hamiton Park Hotel to any bride & groom who want to have the best wedding with the least stress.

Choosing Hamilton Park for our wedding was one of the best choices we made. Kate Springmeyer and the entire staff at the Hamilton Park Hotel were so helpful in making our entire weekend a happy and memorable event. We had the most wonderful wedding reception thanks to the staff at Hamilton Park Hotel. Kate was such a pleasure to work with and was willing to help us every step of the way. She did an amazing job! We did not have to worry about a thing. We knew everything would be taken care of. To this day, we are still getting compliments on our wedding reception with many people telling us this was the best wedding they have been to. The food was amazing and was definitely one of the highlights of the night. We feel Kate and the entire staff made our special day so memorable. We would not have changed a thing! It was perfect!

Robert and I cannot thank Hamilton Park enough for providing us with the perfect wedding day! Our Catering Manager JoAnne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was nothing but helpful throughout the entire planning process, and went out of her way to accommodate our special requests. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better experience getting married at Hamilton Park Hotel. They made the months leading up to our wedding very easy and stress free. JoAnne Mitchko, the director of catering/wedding go-to person, was a vital part of making our wedding completely amazing. Not a detail was missed or an email unanswered.

When choosing a venue, my husband and I were looking for several key elements 1-We wanted a place to hold both the ceremony and reception (we had 150 guests-PLENTY of room). 2. We were really leaning towards a hotel to cut down on traveling expenses and 3. We had a specific look in mind, we aren't really much for frill, lace, and marble columns. Hamilton Park Hotel was, hands down, our #1 choice.

On the actual day of the wedding, we were treated like honored guests, and had an extremely attentive bridal assistant and maitre de. Our wedding was not a traditional sit down dinner. Instead we opted for "stations" in which our guests could choose from a variety of dishes. The food tables were set up beautifully and were FILLED with delicious, and masterfully cooked meals. By the end of the night, we had most of our guests telling us that not only was this the best food they've had at a wedding, but the most fun and unique wedding they've ever been to- which I feel is largely due to the phenomenal service that the staff at Hamilton Park provided. I would 100% recommend Hamilton Park Hotel for anyone's wedding or special event.

All of the staff but especially JoAnne Mitchko(who was our lead contact person) were just phenomenal! Any question or concern was quickly addressed in a professional but friendly manner. JoAnne made us feel as thought we were the only wedding she was responsible for when that what of course not the case at all. Our day was perfect and that was in large part due to JoAnne and the rest of the staff at Hamilton Park. I was married two weeks ago at the Hamilton Park Hotel and I will never forget any of the people I worked with throughout the process. If you book your ceremony and reception there you will NOT be disappointed. I worked with JoAnne through the entire process and she was kind, helpful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable and honest. Those are all extremely important qualities while wedding planning! I was never frustrated and JoAnne worked with us on every last detail for our big day.

We had our rehearsal dinner there on Friday night. It was held in a beautiful private room that opened up to the back patio. We chose the Barbeque option and everyone RAVED about the idea. It was simple but delicious and exactly what we wanted. We didn't want a sit down dinner. We wanted to laugh and mingle with our guests and that was exactly what we got. The rehearsal itself was led by Scott who put all of my fears at ease and assured me that the day would be perfect....and it was.

The rooms were amazing. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The presidential suite is enormous and perfect for allowing a large bridal party to get ready before the wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous, held inside in the hotel as well. It was exactly what I had pictured and no detail was overlooked. The cocktail hour was excellent. The potato bar was a hit! I loved it because I didn't have to worry about getting anything on my dress :) The reception went smoothly. Not ONE thing went wrong. Scott and JoAnne were both there and checked in with us often. Maggie made sure our every need was noticed before we said a word. The guests loved the food, the venue, and said that every single person they encountered went above and beyond to make them comfortable. Many said it was the best wedding they had been to. Everyone loved having all of the events in one place. No driving needed! Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

We couldn't have asked for more. Kate at Hamilton Park Hotel was a consumate professional. She was very detail-oriented and thorough, so that she often reminded us of details we hadn't even thought about. She made sure every desire was provided for, and working with Scott, the designer, and the staff, Kate and Hamilton Park Hotel made our dreams come true. The facilities are beautiful and private. The ballroom is fabulous, and right outside the ballroom is a patio with a fabulous garden, where your guests can also enjoy a lush, beautiful lighted garden and fountain. Also, being private, the facilities guarantee that your event will get the attention it deserves. The staff is very attentive and professional. Finally, we got our money's worth! The food was DELICIOUS; the cake was DELICIOUS; and people RAVED about the drinks! We got great quality for a great price. I would encourage any bride to place Hamilton Park Hotel on her short list of venues. This place is a true gem not to be over looked.

Hamilton Park Hotel is the perfect place to plan a wedding of any size. My husband and I were married in March on the first day of Spring and every detail from the first time we toured the facilities exceeded our expectations. We had 100 guests but the ballroom could have fit up to 200.

It's hard to believe how much you get for the price you pay per person. Custom table cloth and napkins and a wide variety of great food. I Highly recommend you look at HPH for your wedding!

We found Hamilton Park Hotel through another very satisfied couple. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a classy wedding at the right price. . I could t have asked for more.

Everyone at the Hamilton Park Hotel was a joy to work with. I felt like a queen on my wedding day because my every wish was catered to. When my husband said he really liked one of the apps, one of the staff members immediately brought in a whole tray of those apps. Scott and Kate and everyone else really made my husband and I and our guests feel right at home. Scott even made me a throw away bouquet when we realized that the florist didn't bring one. All the guests commented on the high level of service we received. It was a wonderful night!

Attention brides and grooms: This is the BEST place for a New Jersey wedding!
The staff is amazing. The food is fabulous. The hotel is beautiful.
The attention to detail is superb and the price can’t be beat.
Contact Kate Springmeyer. She’s amazing!!! She expertly guided us through every step and made sure we had a fabulous wedding celebration. Our guests still rave about our wedding day, months later. After the reception, our friends and family continued the party in the hotel bar. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel that night and then the next morning we hosted an excellent brunch for everyone. As you can tell, the choices seem endless at HPH. Another perk: there’s a train nearby for your guests who may be traveling from the NYC or elsewhere. The bottom line: our guests loved HPH and so did we. Check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!

We are still hearing our friends and family talk about our wedding! It was just the most perfect day, and the Hamilton Park Hotel made it happen for us! Everyone says it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to, and it really was!

From the moment we walked into the hotel, we knew it was where we were going to have our reception. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were great, and the price was very reasonable for everything they included. JoAnne Mitchko was so fabulous in helping me plan my wedding! She was on top of everything, and made great suggestions to make every last detail perfect. The staff during our reception was so amazing! Every waiter, waitress, and bartender were amazing, and were so great to our guests.

Probably the best part was the food! It was simply spectacular! We had so many choices for the cocktail hour, and there was more food them we ever expected! Most people were full before we even sat down to dinner because there were just oo many good choices! Our dinner was delicious, and to top it off, the wedding cake was included.

I could go on and on about our wedding, we had the most perfect day. The Hamilton Park did an amazing job, and we couldn't have asked for anything more!

I am so glad I went with my gut and went for a hotel location for the wedding. The level of service provided was exceptional - including everything from the actual hotel stay to the ceremony, then the cocktail hour and reception. It is almost a year later, and I still get compliments from relatives (who are usually very demanding!). Working with Kate made the wedding planning process so much less stressful. Even my parents were impressed with her, and they have worked with two other highly experienced coordinators for my sisters' weddings. Particularly notable was the staff - I don't think more than one or two people ever actually made it to the bar during the reception, since the waiters were so attentive to their needs.

The quality of the service was excellent. They were very accommodating with some of the changes we wanted to make to our reception. They do mostly conventions, but my wedding was WONDERFUL. Michelle, the banquet manager, and Scott, some other manager, helped manage my wedding. They helped with arranging who walked down the aisle, to decorating the tables and wedding cake with the roses I had from the florist. They are willing to work with what you have. Plus the cost per person is phenomenal for the area. We had the choice of filet mignon and some kind of stuffed chicken. Everyone was impressed with the hors'd oerves and the main courses. They rearranged the ceremony chairs into the dining area and were willing to let us borrow their grand piano. They also have a balcony where I threw my bouquet. I also got 2 free nights in their presidential suite which was awesome. It was definitely worth it and I look forward to possibly going to one of my brother's weddings there in the near future.

Amazing venue

I was in contact with Megan from the very beginning until the very end of planning my wedding. She was there with me throughout everything and made everything so easy and comfortable! Everything was great, we had our room block, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and brunch all at the hotel and it was all amazing! The Hamilton Park Hotel was a bit out of our price range, but it was well worth it. We didn't have to worry about anything because it was all handled by the staff. Everything was amazing. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the price (but, well worth it), and the fact that we were married outside and people and children were using the pool, which is right through the fence and very loud (We were told it would be closed during our ceremony). Take these 2 things away and our wedding was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it.

We had our ceremony at a nearby church and the cocktail hour and reception at the hotel.

The ambiance blew me away. It was pretty when we first saw the room, but the night of our wedding it took our breath away. The food was fantastic and the mashed potato bar and stromboli station were big hits. The honeymoon suite was connected to another room which was perfect for getting ready in the morning and hanging out after. I HIGHLY recommend the hotel for weddings. They only do 1 wedding a night and you know that you and your party will be taken care of and made to feel special. The outdoor area was a great escape and worked for the cocktail hour because weather was perfect for us. Seriously, it was amazing. Book now.

The Hamilton Park Hotel was amazing. From the day we booked the venue, Joanne, the event manager, was always responsive, friendly and extremely helpful. She responded to all of our questions quickly and put our minds at ease during the planning process. The food was wonderful. Many of our guests commented on the high quality of the food served. The steak was tender and not overcooked as is often seen with wedding food. The cocktail hour and dessert were excellent as well. There was plenty of selection for us to choose from for appetizers during the cocktail hour. The room was beautifully decorated and there was plenty of space to dance during the reception. Most of our guests were staying at the hotel. All of the guest rooms were clean and spacious and the discounted block rate was affordable for our guests.
The Hamilton Park Hotel went above and beyond when the power went out after our reception due to Hurrican Irene. All of the staff was extremely helpful to our guests. Many of our guests were stuck at the hotel for 24 hours until the roads cleared and flooding subsided. During the entire time, the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. We could not have asked to be "stuck" at a better place.

I would recommend the Hamilton Park to anyone looking for great service, great food and a lovely venue.

Cost effective for the NJ area. Great having a hotel at same location. Service by the chef, wait staff, maitre d, on the day of was terrific. Tara, our event planner, was very easy to work with. The Bridal suite you get with booking is amazing like an apartment. We got ready there and it was perfect.

We hit a few bump in the road initially with communication due to high staff turnover. Once the catering director position was finalized, however, everything went very smoothly, and the hotel did reach out to rectify the situation when things fell through the cracks. Tara did an excellent job keeping us in the loop and all of the details in check. The day of, things went very smoothly. The food was excellent- everyone kept commenting on how perfectly cooked the filet mignon was. The service was wonderful. Leo even added uplighting to our venue the day of free of charge because he thought it would look nicer. All of the staff were very thoughtful and diligent.

I was married in March 2009. My wedding was amazing. I worked with Kate Springmeyer. I hope all brides are as lucky as I was to have such a fantastic venue cordinator. She went above and beyond to assist me. I can't even begin to list the thing Kate took on for us. She was great. When my wedding was over I almost felt like i was loosing a friend because we spent so much time emailing and on the phone. I never had a worry as long as Kate was handling it. She never let me down.
The food was out of site. A month after my wedding people were still complimenting us. My brother, who is hard pressed to give a compliment, was raving when i got back from my honeymoon. He wanted to go back to the Hamilton Park for the fajita station.
I only have 2 complaints about my wedding. 1st the cake: the cake was included with our package (Baker's Perfection in Rockaway). I went to the bakery and met with a consultant. We tasted cakes and showed her what i wanted. I was told no problem. Well appparently there was a problem because i did not get the cake we had discussed. I was suppose to have gold fondant swirls but instead got caramel. My cake looked like it was melting up close. This cake haunted my dreams it was so ugly. It did however taste delicious.
2. Scott the banquet manager at the Hamilton Park was refered to as the wedding Natzi. One of our guest dropped a glass while dancing. Scott then took it upon himself to remove glasses from the hands of my adult guest who carried glasses on to the floor. When asked by managment why he did this , i was told he said eleven glass broke on the dance floor in a short period of time. well i invite him to watch the unedited version of my wedding video. Only one glass hit the dance floor and was promptly cleaned up, not by hamilton park staff, but by my reader. I have the whole thing on DVD. Also in the middle of my reception i was informed by guests that they were receiving threats of being cut off from the open bar. Scott came over to our sweetheart table, as per the groom's request, and contined to have a fifteen minute conversation about the roudiness of our guest and how they may be cut off. One he should have taken us into the hallway and two our guest should have never been told they were being cutoff but instead had there drinks watered down like at every other wedding i"ve been to. Also the hotel seemed to have no problem continuing to serve my guest in the hotel bar, on their dime, after the reception. My guest closed the bar that evening. I had around 65-75 guest staying at the hotel.
Overall my experience was delightful. If I had to do it again, I would.

The Hamilton Park Hotel is a great find for weddings. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff are pleasant and always helpful. While they couldn't be flexible in the price of the ceremony and reception, it was affordable and well worth the money. My husband and myself enjoyed the whole process with the hotel and was glad that they made our wedding spectular!

I so badly want to give a positive review, because things started out great, but eventually we ended up disappointed. We were engaged for two years and in that time the hotel came under the management of Wyndham and Joanne, our wedding event coordinator, left and we started working with Nicole. Things quickly started to change once this happened.

PROS- Food! We went with 3 buffet stations and were so happy we did! Delicious!! Everything is also all in one- hotel rooms, rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception hall. The décor is very neutral which allowed me to create the feel of the room that I wanted! It turned out beautifully.

CONS- Constant issues with our hotel reservations. Rooms weren't connecting that should’ve been, no A/C in some rooms, smoky smelling rooms, guests charged too much for our block, my family was charged for the comped rooms we received through our contract. There was clearly very little communication between event management and reservations. Overall, it was a huge mess which was very upsetting considering we chose this location since so many of our guests were traveling and needed rooms. In the end it was worked out but did put a damper on arrival/departure days.

Nicole and the guest services manager (who we worked with throughout the hotel room issues) were frequently “out of office” and rarely available. Once, Nicole just didn’t show up for a scheduled meeting.

My parents also hosted breakfast for the guests at the hotel restaurant the morning after the wedding and were grossly overcharged. After complaining and multiple calls, that was worked out all well.

Luckily everything was fine on the day of and we had a great time. However the hassle of all of the room situation/missed meetings/unanswered emails/inflated charges were a major let down and left us disappointed.

Unpleasant and Unprofessional

We chose this venue for my best friend's bridal shower. While the food was good, the venue gorgeous, and one server (Fitzbroy, I believe his name was) was attentive and polite, the experience following signing the contract all the way through the event was unpleasant. Communicating with Susan DaSilva via email was unpleasant. I had to follow up on several occasions after not getting a response and was told I was going to get charged extra when I was just trying to understand what we could and could not do at this venue for the bridal shower. On top of this, Susan never communicated with the banquet captain, Judith Sanchez. Susan informed me that when I arrived on the day, we would be able to begin setting up at 11am and that she would communicate this to Judith. When I met with Judith that morning (after waiting around for almost 20 minutes) I was told the servers would need 45 minutes to set up which cut into our time to decorate before the event. They ultimately let us decorate as the servers were setting up tables, but one waiter was upset the whole time that we were decorating while she was setting up. Unfortunately, we were still setting up as guests arrived.

The room were were in (Social I and II) was FREEZING! We asked five times to ask to have it turned up and finally they brought in a space heater. The heat was apparently broken and when they had someone come fix it, during the last hour of the event, the heat went up and everyone was sweating through the final hour. In the last half hour, as we were finishing games, Judith came into the room and continued to look at her watch, clearly reminding us we needed to be out.

I have been to two events at this venue in the past and have had a lovely time, but if you are looking to plan an event here, I would advise against it. My future in-laws were contemplating having our rehearsal dinner here and I have asked that they look elsewhere because of my experience with this event.

I did not have my wedding held at The Hamilton Park Hotel, however I did decide to use them as the hotel my guests would stay at the day before and the day of my wedding. Dealing with the staff at this hotel was a nightmare. (with the exception of Amelia and Joanne) They were impossible to reach. No one ever answered their phone and no one ever called back in a promt manner...sometimes it would take days.
In the contract I had with the hotel it was said they would set up transportation to shuttle guests to and from the wedding reception.I had 50+ rooms booked and I was assured guests would be transported to the reception within 2 shuttle runs, which was to start at 6:15. One shuttle showed up that fit maybe 20 people, and did not return to pick up anyone else. Now approx. 60 people are standing outside dressed up...obviously waiting to go somewhere and not one person who worked at the hotel thought this was odd and did anything about it. Some people had to drive themselves to the wedding! The hotel naturally blamed it on the limo company...however it is still a reflection of their services. I would never reccommend this hotel.
