  Bethany is an incredible photographer and she captured our wedding day perfectly. We’re so happy she was a part of our wedding day. We love all of the candid photographs of our friends and family from throughout the day. She did an amazing job highlighting all of the moments that were most special to us and captured some moments throughout the night that we had even missed! I honestly forgot she was there sometimes - which as someone who is awkward in front of the camera finds it hard to forget! We will be cherishing these photographs for many years to come. Thank you Bethany!

  Bethany is one of the best NYC photographers, hands down. She did our engagement photos this spring, and has photographed my apartment and done some portraits of me in the past as well. Without a doubt, she's amazing. She makes you feel at ease and casual, like you're hanging out with a dear friend, whether you know her or not. She has a perfect mix of documentary and styled photography that feels very natural. She's creative, kind, and flexible. She works hard to give her clients exactly what they want, and is great at communicating her vision. Book Bethany, you will NOT be sorry you did!!!

  Bethany was a wonderful presence on our wedding day. She captured everything perfectly. I get so many compliments on our photos. She also had them to us extremely quickly. My friends waited 3 months + for their wedding pics. We had ours before we were back from the honeymoon!

  From the time I discovered Bethany’s work, I knew she was the photographer who I wanted to capture the next set of photos for my business. Since I run a personal brand, it was critical to work with someone who excels at understanding people so that my message could be expressed properly.
  
  I have to say, not only did Bethany convey my vision “properly”... she blew it out of the water. From beginning to end, our collaboration was a pleasure: she’s a clear and generous communicator, meticulous planner, and truly gifted artist. I ended up with a portfolio of photos that express my mission better than I ever could have alone.

  We had such a wonderful experience booking Bethany for our June destination wedding in Montauk and are so touched by the wonderful pictures we received! Big wow! It's plain beautiful, timeless, classic, traditional and non traditional, and we just can´t decide which one is the best. They are all so amazing! From day one Bethany understood the style and vibe we wanted and she naturally became a part of our journey and even helped us with the planning and brought our wooden wedding sign with her from NYC for us. Things like these helped us so much! Her quality of work and professionalism exceeded our expectations from the first meet and greet via skype to our actual wedding day, and finally to our viewing session. My husband and me highly recommend Bethany to capture your special occasion - whatever that may be for you! We could not have asked for a better experience and just love the results.

  Bethany is an amazing talented photographer, her ability to capture magic truly makes her a magician. It amazes me how her bubbly and friendly personality is seamlessly replaced by quiet discrete professionalism when it is time to get to work. I honestly forgot she was there sometimes, yet after receiving the pictures she was extremely present in many magical moments. I have used her for other events and am constantly pleased at what she delivers.

  I had a destination wedding weekend in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and of all the decisions a bride has to make about her big day, working with Bethany Michaela was absolutely one of the BEST decisions I made regarding my wedding! For an entire 3 days, Bethany and her videographer, Josiah Jones, captured smiles, hugs, toasts, tears, laughter, and so many moments that I can only describe as pure joy!
  
  From scuffling through the sand to shoot a catamaran sailing into the Caribbean sea and dodging haywire volleyballs to get some great action shots to inconspicuously capturing tender moments at my bridal shower and during our ceremony, there wasn’t an aspect of the weekend that was missed and nothing she wouldn’t do to capture a shot!
  
  Bethany has an incredible eye as well as a fun, gracious and humble personality to go along with it. She had a great rapport with everyone. Several of my guests came up to me throughout the weekend to compliment how professional, fun and lovely both her and Josiah were to be around. At the same time, Bethany is highly skilled at following her intuition on when to engage with guests and when to step back and allow everything to just be. She demonstrated this balance all weekend beautifully.
  
  What I value most about Bethany and my experience with her is how much I trusted her. Never once the entire weekend was I stressed or worried about her not capturing something, and this gave me a lot of peace and freedom to be present and enjoy such a memorable weekend. Bethany truly listens and gets to know her clients – what they are envisioning, what shots they want, what their style and taste level is - and makes it a goal to use her talents to create work that exceeds these expectations.
  
  Bethany exceeded my expectations, and I am so grateful to have her beautiful work to forever cherish.

Having her as our photographer was easily the best decision we made when planning our wedding--undeniable talent, the ability to adapt to any situation, and so easy to work with. She cares about your photographs as much as you do, and that's something you can’t find in just any photographer. Whatever you have to do to make it work--even flying her to Scotland!--get this amazingly talented, kind, and caring professional to photograph your wedding.   As the mother of the groom for a destination wedding at St Salvator's Chapel at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, it was hard to know what to expect--we had so many moving parts--family and friends coming from all over, meeting the bride's family, wondering about the weather, jet lag, getting everyone from the airport in Edinburgh to St Andrews, etc. Throughout all of this, Bethany was an absolute champ. She's friendly, and she knows how to work with different types of people--family, friends, clergy, etc.--and her product is stunning. She maximized the light and surroundings in the 600+ year old Chapel, the sunset over the water and the famous golf course, and also captured several great shots of our party on the streets of St Andrews, where the bride and groom met while in grad school. The shots inside the Chapel radiate light and remind me of illuminated manuscripts--the bride and groom are showcased in such a way that I just wanted to crawl into the pictures. I cannot say enough good things about Bethany and the quality of her photography. After the wedding and reception are over, all that's left, other than memories, are the photographs--thank you, Bethany, for being a part of our special time and for your beautiful pictures!!!

  Bethany did such an amazing job photographing the "getting ready" and "first look photos" for my wedding. She also captured beautiful candid expressions and personalities of my friends and family.   Bethany is fantastic! She was available on short notice for our impromptu engagement and we had a great time at the shoot with her. We love the final photos and have several prints around our apartment. We can't recommend her enough!

  Absolutely amazing! I planned to propose to my girlfriend in NYC and had been looking for someone to capture the moment since neither of us had family up there. I asked a few friends who lived in New York for some recommendations and Bethany's name came up. She was incredibly thorough and we had the entire proposal planned and scheduled 2 months before the big day! I wanted her to take "incognito" photos of us before the proposal, obviously capture the moment itself, as well as some pictures afterwards. She completely blended in to the surrounding and played it so cool that even I couldn't spot her for a while! She was just another tourist taking some pictures of the city haha. Her work was incredible, and we now have memories that we can show our family and friends.
  My only advice is that if possible, don't pop the question next to a handicap sign, although she did an amazing job of angling her shots to exclude the sign when possible! If I could give more than a 5 star review, she would get it.

  BETHANY was with us on our wedding for four hours. She took us on a great tour through the city and showed us beautiful places that are now some of our favourite memories of that day.   BETHANY was with us on our wedding for four hours. She took us on a great tour through the city and showed us beautiful places that are now some of our favourite memories of that day.   Bethany was an amazing photographer who made my photo-shoot in the heart of NYC so fun and enjoyable. She cared and persevered for my special taste in architectural scenes, sneaked into the Guggenheim with us quite prepared to be expelled by guards (which did happen) but still pulled off a number of wonderful shots we love so much.
