Lucy was incredible to work with! After the initial food tasting and confirming she would be creating my wedding cakes (yes, multiple!), she went out of her way to let me have a second tasting as well. I picked a custom design that she hadn't done before, but I trusted her completely and the end result was more than I could have hoped for. In terms of taste, you're not going to find anyone better - they were absolutely delicious. I'd recommend the dulce de leche flavor!

Taste, quality, service, and price were top notch! The cake is the only thing my husband picked out! We had leftovers after the wedding but decided to eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner until it was gone! The most delicious 10 pounds I ever gained! Lucy was so sweet and we instantly liked her. She is the only candidate we met for our cake needs and we have no regrets! We were pleasantly surprised with her pricing. After our consultation we decided to book her not only because she's talented but because she is the nicest person! She is so easy to talk to and work with and she put our needs over her own agenda. I can't say enough about Sofelle Cake Artistry. I got the look I wanted, and the flavors I wanted as well. I had reached out to four or five bakers prior to meeting Lucy and they couldn't do a coffee flavor; one told me coffee would be too strong I should try another flavor. Well what I did instead was kept looking for other bakeries. Lucy heard what I wanted and made suggestions. And the day of our Vow Renewal the cake was perfect I am still getting compliments on the taste of the cake.
Sofelle, we waited 8yrs to renew our vows and have an actual wedding and everything was perfect. I will be reaching out to you next year to get a smaller version created.

I was looking for a delicate elegant cake that wasn’t stuffed with gooey fillings and was breathtakingly beautiful and that’s exactly what I got. Lucy is very busy and there’s good reason why and I’m so glad I chose her. Even her samples were so perfectly packaged and she is as sweet and wonderful as her cakes. My cake was delicious , soft , moist and delicate. I went with champagne raspberry even though the white chocolate lavender was just as amazing. We had the pleasure of working with Lucy from Sofelle Cake Artisty on the design of our wedding cake. Our design was slightly unusual in the sense that we wanted it to fit the theme of our overall wedding design, which included a lot of flowers and earthiness. Lucy loved the design and embraced the challenge of having to create MANY miniature flowers made out of gum paste. The ending result was simply beautiful. The most difficult part of the wedding cake process was having to choose which cake flavor we wanted, all three of the cakes we tried during the tasting were so delicious. We almost had a different flavor for each layer of our cake, but decided her Red Velvet and Raspberry Champagne flavors were the crowd pleasers. We highly recommend Sofelle Cake Artistry, they have an amazing menu of flavors and their prices were beyond reasonable.

So, I'm a little overdue for this review but I really wanted to share my experience with Sofelle Cake Artistry in regards to my wedding cake and the grooms cake. My husband and I actually found Lucy, the owner, through google search. All reviews we came across raved about her cakes, and her designs were amazing, so we decided to meet with her and do a taste test....OMG!! The cakes we tried were moist, flavorful and so distinct in taste (we tried key lime and strawberry, strawberries and cream, champagne and raspberry, and fall spice); we settled on key lime and strawberry, and strawberries and cream for the wedding cake, and viva el chocolate for the grooms cake. We wanted someone who could bring our vision to life (my husband and I are in the music industry and are strong lovers of R&B music) and that is just what Lucy did, constructing a cake inspired by our love for music topped with an edible microphone that she made from scratch. The grooms cake was actually a replica of a Maschine, which is a drum pad that my husband uses. Her professionalism, communication, and timeliness were top notch and the prices were actually very reasonable! I would not hesitate to use Lucy again; heck, I'm thinking of using her for my baby shower cake when we get there!

Chef Lucy was an absolute delight to work with. She designed a cake that’s as beyond my expectations. Not only was the cake stunning it was delicious. Her pricing was fair and her professional was outstanding. I definitely recommend hiring her if you are having any type of event in the Orlando area

Lucy is such an artist! When my husband and I met her she spent so much time sketching designs so we could have the cake of our dreams. We received so many compliments on our wedding day about our cake and it tastes amazing!!!! I would reccomend Lucy and Sofelle Cakes to anyone looking for a piece of art! Her work exceeded my expectations!!

From our first meeting to the final product it was an amazing experience working with Lucy from Sofelle. She was kind, professional, very artistic and helped us come up with an amazing cake. Her flavors are amazing and the artistry the best. I would recommend her to anyone!

From the consultation, to the cake tasting, to keeping us updated along the way, she went above and beyond- even responding to emails from us while she was on vacation! The hardest part of working with Sofelle was picking the flavors for our wedding cake since they were all so delicious! I would definitely recommend Sofelle for engagements, bridal showers, and of course, your wedding!

At our first meeting, Lucy met my mother, fiancé (at the time), and I, and sketched out the perfect cake from all the ideas we had (she even colored in the drawings). Then we tried her cake (absolutely delicious), and needless to say we were sold! She is a pleasure to work with, and super easy to get a hold of. Lucy helped us determine what we needed/wanted, and she even helped me surprise my husband with a groom's cake! Our wedding cake far exceeded our expectations and was simply stunning, AND most importantly, it tasted AMAZING!!! We cannot recommend Lucy enough. I would like to plan another event in FL (reside in NYC) that I need a cake for, just to eat some more Sofelle Cake Artistry again!

I asked Lucy for 2 very different and very specific cakes for my wedding. I sent her pictures and described as best as I could but I have to admit I was nervous about how the designs would turn out. I had nothing to worry about. The cakes were phenomenal! They tasted so beautiful and they looked amazing! She got every design perfectly well and the intricacies were not a bother for her. I am so glad I trusted her with my wedding cakes. She did not disappoint and I will recommend her to anyone! She is also timely, sweet and easy to communicate with. I even made some changes last minute and she was flexible with the changes I wanted. With everything that can make your event stressful, this is the one thing that you will not have to worry about if you work with Lucy!

We had a wonderful experience with our wedding cake!! It was exactly as requested, we had several compliments on the cake. I would highly recommend this vendor, her cakes are beautiful, I have to say this was the best experience of all the vendors I had to deal with. Lucy was so informative on the process of our cake, from size to accommodate our guests, to the presentation of the cake.. just can't say enough about our experience, almost makes me want to plan another wedding!!

Lucy is great! She worked with us on trying something new, and had a fantastic result. Delivery was kind of far, and it was on time, and in perfect condition. We got so many compliments on how it looked and tasted. Superb in every way. My husband ate the whole To Go box she packed for us in the hotel that night! There is nothing I would recommend to improve. We feel lucky to have found her, she made the whole process super easy on us.

Lucy Martin with Sofelle Cake Artistry is a wonderful woman and a top notch baker! We loved working with her and she created the most amazing 3-layer cake for us. From the moment I emailed her, she was so professional, warm, and responsive. She was super flexible with scheduling a tasting for us (given it was a destination wedding) and prepared 4 flavors of cakes for us to try. They were all so tasty! She threw in one extra I hadn't chosen (chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream frosting), and it was so delicious, we chose it as one of our flavors! We loved that she was willing to create a custom flavor for us (lavender cake with white chocolate buttercream frosting), and after the tasting, she took my feedback and added even more lavender flavor to the cake. I could definitely tell the difference on our wedding day and couldn't have been more pleased. We had tastings with several different cake vendors; Lucy's cakes were so light, flavorful, and sophisticated tasting that she blew everyone else out of the water! The cake was decorated perfectly - the first 2 layers were "semi-naked" and the bottom layer had an uneven fully frosted pattern, and she delivered timely and as promised. The price was spot on, and she even allowed us to ship a cake stand to her home ahead of time! We are so happy we hired Sofelle Cake Artistry - Lucy Martin might be the best baker in Orlando and we recommend her 100% !!

We absolutely 120% LOVE our cake. It turned out exactly how we wanted and more. It was crazy delicious my entire family was fighting for left overs. Lucy had wonderful ideas on decor and was very open minded to our suggestions. Price of the cake was totally reasonable. I will absolutely continue to order my cakes for my new family from her! Many of my wedding vendors recommended Sofelle Cake Artistry. From the moment my husband and I met Lucy we knew she was great. We had met other cake vendors but none of them had a caring personality and commitment to work with us compared to Lucy. She listens to your ideas, gives you input and takes the time to create your masterpiece. I loved that she stayed in communication with us and spent time talking to me on the phone trying to envision the perfect flowers and details on my cake. My husband and I were very happy with the design and taste of the cake and we would highly recommend Lucy to anyone looking for a cake for any occasion.

A year ago yesterday I got married! Lucy helped us design our perfect wedding cake. She met up with us and sat down to see what we really wanted in our cake. Were were unsure but after some time chatting and Lucy providing ideas and feedback we came up with our perfect cake! Not to mention the flavors of her cakes are to die for! Once we ordered our wedding cake, I secretly emailed Lucy to designs a grooms cake as a surprise for my husband! He loves duck hunting so I told her that was what I wanted. She drew out some ideas and sent them over! On our wedding day we weren't just amazed by our cake, but by his grooms cake! Lucy is wonderful!

She was flexiable with payment options, quick to respond to any questions and concerns and overall a very sweet person to do business with. When we did the tasting my husband like one flavor most and I liked another. Unable to decide, Lucy was very open and willing to make our cake in two different flavors! Which were absolutely amazing! Everything we discussed and sketched out was on the cake. It was absolutely beautiful! I didn't want to cut it! But when we did our cake cutting it was is delicious! Just as I remembered it from the tasting! My husband loved it and he doesn't even like sweets! He had some the day after even! Overall, we were very pleased with Sofelle Cake Artistry! Down to the service, product and communication! What we always look for when we hire someone is that they have that passion in what they do. That they care about what you want and will do whatever they can to make sure you are absolutely satisfied with what your getting. In Lucy, I seen that. I felt that. We were previously toying with the idea of a Publix cake for our wedding, but after meeting with Lucy and tasting her exquisitely delicious samples we quickly changed our minds. Though all three of our samples (Viva El Chocolate, Sofelle's Apricot & Almonds, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Kiss) were fantastic, we decided to go with the Chocolate Peanut Butter Kiss. We were NOT disappointed, and neither were our wedding guests: We still have people coming up to us asking where we got our cake. I happily inform people about our wonderful experience working with Lucy and heartily recommend her and her confections. She is so sweet and patient and will go above and beyond to help you have the wedding cake of your dreams. Case in point: I made all of our wedding flowers out of recycled book pages (I'm a librarian and love to craft; also, we're kinda nerdy) and Lucy suggested making flowers out of newsprint wafer paper to complement our theme. It looked amazing and was seriously the most delicious cake I've ever had (trust me: I have a major sweet tooth; I've tried a lot of cake). Thank you again, Lucy! :)

We met to do the cake tasting and the presentation was lovely and we had 4 flavor options to try from! You can't go cheap on your wedding cake. The cake will be one of the more memorable parts of your wedding day. We even used Lucy again for our baby shower. The ingredients are all natural and the texture of the frosting was phenomenal. It melts in your mouth like butter. Well done!! Price is very reasonable compared to other expensive places

After hearing and experiencing the not so good stories from other people's weddings, I was set on hiring the best of the best vendors for my own wedding. Lucy with Sofelle Cake Artistry has been the best pastry chef I've worked with. And no wedding cake I've ever eaten could top the one she did for us. It was out of this world delicious. I could tell from the very first bite that Lucy uses top of the line ingredients and makes baking to perfection her art. My guest gave me compliments for weeks after the wedding. A cake can look gorgeous, but if it doesn't taste good that experience over shadows the appearance. With Lucy she accomplished both beauty and taste. She far exceeded my expectations. Her professionalism and delivery were also exceptional which is very important in making sure your event goes beautifully as you've planned. Working with Lucy was fun and a pleasure. She was very accommodating, full of great ideas, and catered to all of the things we wanted. From the consultation and cake tasting I was very impressed. We saved the top tier for our one month anniversary gathering by using her instructions to wrap it and putting it in the freezer. I couldn't believe how good the cake tasted. It was still very fresh! I highly recommend those looking for a talented real pastry chef to use Lucy. I am confident you will be very happy with the work she will do for you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lucy and tasting her amazing cakes at a bridal show. When my husband and I met with Lucy for the cake tasting and to discuss our options, she was very attentive to make sure she didn’t miss any details and that she gave us everything we asked for within our budget. No matter how many times I changed my mind on the shape, size, and details that I wanted, she happily sketched me a new cake so that I could see my vision coming to life.
I had Lucy make our wedding cake as well as a football shaped groom’s cake. The wedding cake was flawless, it was absolutely beautiful! The groom’s cake had so many details and looked like a real football. It was definitely the talk of the night. Apart from being beautiful, the cake was DELICIOUS! I only had a few bites that evening, but I was fortunate enough that there was some cake left that we got to take home. The next day the cake was just as delicious and I could not stop eating it. I am beyond thankful for all the time and care that Lucy took to make sure our cakes were better than anything we could have ever imagined. I would definitely recommend Lucy and look forward to using her services again in the future!

It was a pleasure to work with Lucy. Since our consultation appointment she was really helpful and very professional. She took notes of all my ideas, I was able to showed her some pictures of what I wanted. She then draw two different cakes with many options for us based on our budget and with the cake that I wanted. She is always reaching out to you months before the event to make sure everything is going well according to plan. She was on time for the delivery. The Cake looked absolutely beautiful, not to mention that every single guest loved it, we had people eating two or three pieces of cake!! We did coco and pineapple flavor and it was DELICIOUS. I absolutely recommend her ... She speaks Spanish as well that was a PLUS ;)

Lucy Martin, owner of Sofelle Confections, created a beautiful custom wedding cake that was amazing and delicious for my daughter's wedding. This was no ordinary wedding cake! My daughter eloped and got married on a mountain top in Vail, Colorado. Five months later when we held the formal ceremony and reception, Lucy helped create their unique wedding cake. Tiered layers + sunset + white mountains + green trees sprinkled with snow = WOW! The beauty began when Lucy "painted" sunset background colors on each layer, then layered white mountains with crystal peaks and green trees lightly sprinkled with white snow. It was BEAUTIFUL! All of the guests (and staff!) raved about the creativity and beautiful colors. We wanted the cake to be a main focal point of the reception and it was! Many pictures were taken of that cake! Equally important, the cake was delicious. Lucy did two flavors for us. Every piece was eaten! I am a perfectionist. I researched and talked to three different bakeries. Lucy was the only cake "artist" in the group. I also liked the fact that Lucy, herself, would be baking and creating our cake. She even delivered the cake to the venue and set up the cake presentation. It was Lucy Martin from start to finish. From the start, she presented us with various cake and icing options. She uses the highest quality of ingredients. We started with a vision and she listened, suggested, designed and created a wedding cake that was one-of-a-kind amazing, delicious and reflected the bride and groom's vision. Lucy was so easy to work with. She was prompt with returning phone calls and emails. Your wedding cake vendor is a big decision and a little scary when using someone for the first time. That is why I am recommending Sofelle Confections. You will not be disappointed in any way by Lucy Martin, owner of Sofelle Confections!

Lucy Martin is a pleasure to work with. I bought my best friend's wedding cake as a gift and Lucy came to our rescue 6 weeks before the wedding date. The cake was delicious and gorgeous the bride was very happy. Lucy was easy to reach and very sweet! I highly recommend making Sofelle Confections your wedding cake go-to!

Lucy Martin was amazing! Everybody at my wedding devoured the cake to the point where there was nothing left of it. It was DELICIOUS. Lucy was great; she responded to all of my emails, calls, texts, and is also one of the sweetest people I've ever met! She made me feel comfortable with my decisions and didn't try to change anything. She explained things very thoroughly and I loved it. If you need a cake for your wedding--go to Lucy Martin of Sofelle Confections. My cake was beautiful AND tasty. She went above and beyond to make my wedding cake come to life with every single small detail that made my cake beautiful. Thank you for making my day so special, Lucy!

Lucy from Sofelle was absolutely perfect! We had a lot of wonderful vendors for our wedding, but she was one of the sweetest and most helpful. We fell in love with her work (and her cake) on our first meeting with her! :D The cake turned out beautiful and I heard it tasted great too (we didn't get to have any yet :P). I met Lucy at a Winter Park wedding expo and I am SO glad that I did! Lucy has so much passion for what she does and takes the time to really sit with you and learn your vision for the wedding and cake design. Lucy was so flexible and understanding throughout the process when changes had to be made. We had three different cakes and 3 cake flavors at our wedding and all three were to die for! Our wedding guests were raving about how beautiful and delicious the cakes were and said they went up for seconds! I would 100% recommend Sofelle Confections for any event!

Everything about my experience was perfect. From the cake tasting and planning down to the final product. The cake was beautiful and tasted perfect. There was no left overs and it truly pulled together the theme, the cherry on top. Thank you so much Lucy for adding the necessary details to make my moms birthday perfect.

Chef Lucy Martin's beautiful work helped to make my baby shower magical! She was a pleasure to work with, and the gorgeous cake and cupcakes she made for our Tiffany's themed event were everything we hoped for! Lucy was amazing to work with! She not only created the cake of our dreams but also created our wedding favors (French macarons). Plus, she set aside a box of French macarons just for me and my husband to have after the wedding! Everyone raved about both of these delicious items and I would definitely recommend Lucy for anyone's wedding cake or favors. I had the pleasure of taking the basics of cake decorating class with Chef Martin yesterday. I had a wonderful time! Chef Martin conveyed her knowledge in such a simple, easy to understand direct way that was so refreshing and comprehensible. Chef Martin is a highly creative person with an excellent understanding of cake decorating. She also has a very enthusiastic approach to her work and her passion for her work shows through everything she does. She is a wonderful teacher and takes time to show each student how to do a specific technique and makes sure that we are confident with our work before moving to the next step. I would recommend anyone to take her class and I look forward to taking more of her classes in the future!

Lucy Martin is not a baker, she is an artist. Never had my wife and I tasted something so decadent than when the velvety culinary masterpiece that was our wedding cake slid across our tongues. Lucy made us a completely custom wedding cake that my wife actually had a dream about days after our wedding. The presentation was something so beautiful, you'd find it in a New York City art gallery, and Lucy's adherence to our specifications proved to us that she truly was sculpting a sugary piece of art just for us. Something tells me we won't be able to hold out until our anniversary to dive into the top tier that's tempting us in our freezer.

Lucy was very easy to work with, we found her through a macys wedding representative, we went to a bridal show she was going to be part of and tasted her delicious cakes. the flavor was exactly my husband and I were looking for. We met with her and she provided exactly what we asked for. the cake was really good. It was a naked cake, chocolate and cherries. Thank you for everything Lucy.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! I also had a groom's cake done as a surprise for my husband and Lucy was extremely helpful in developing a design I loved and that my husband was thrilled with when he saw it at our reception. We absolutely love Lucy with Sofelle Confections. We were recently married and Lucy did a superb job with our wedding cake. Not only did she give us the cake that we loved but it also tasted great. We selected the piña colada cake and it was a huge hit. Lucy is extremely professional, and was very helpful throughout the entire process. We would highly recommend Sofelle Confections for any occasion.
