SODA was amazing! They were so patient and attentive during the whole planning processes and we could not have asked for anything better. Book Soda!

We had Soda play at our September 1st wedding. This is your sign to book Soda!! We absolutely LOVED having a live band for our wedding. If you are looking for an amazing band for a great value, this is the one! It was such a pleasure working with Rob from beginning to end. He made the entire process so easy and worry free. Rob and the band were so flexible throughout the entire night. The band was able to read the crowd and adjust accordingly. They made our entire night run so smoothly and absolutely unforgettable! The band is incredibly talented, energetic, memorable and professional. Our guests could not stop talking about the music. They will keep your guests on the dance floor all night long! I cannot recommend Soda enough!

High energy, fantastic band

SODA was amazing and made our reception a total blast! Rob was so easy to work with - figuring out flow of the reception and giving opinions on how to make it as perfect as possible. He and his band played all of our "firsts" type songs wonderfully. Rob also played our ceremony and it was awesome - we were able to customize all of our major songs, allowing the day to be perfectly "us"!

Soda played at our daughter's wedding reception at Ashley Farm.

We received a recommendation to contact Soda when the original band that we wanted was booked on the day of our daughter's wedding. Not knowing much about Soda, we decided to go see them play at a bar in Arlington Heights. They sounded great at the bar and had a great rapport with the crowd. During a break we approached Rob and told him what we were thinking about our daughter's wedding. He gave us plenty of time, asked excellent questions and made us feel comfortable with proceeding. That being said, we knew that it would be challenging for Soda to meet/exceed our families expectations for a great band. However, they were awesome in the scheduling of the event, the travel/prep/setup for the event, and of course the providing such a great TOP NOTCH show and music during the reception. The music and energy was the best that we have seen at any wedding in many years and we received compliments on the band from everyone that attended. So, if you are looking for a fun, exciting and musically superior band for a special event you will not go wrong with this group. And no, we're not related to anyone in the band and were not paid for this endorsement... :)

Trust in SODA!

We heard about SODA through the preferred vendor list at our venue... a little bit later we saw the band play at a bar in Carol Stream. They had the whole bar up dancing. In that moment, we knew we could trust them to soundtrack our wedding (December 2023). Our trust was vindicated, and then some.

Rob Loar is so easy to work with. He's attentive, willing to cater to special requests (like a song I had the band learn), and eminently professional. Again, I trusted in the band's experience and familiarity with the venue. Day of, I didn't have to do a thing to make sure the band was ready to go - they always were.

And then, the reception itself... I cannot count how many guests approached me and my wife to compliment us on the band. The setlist - perfect. The sound - perfect. The energy - high. EVERYBODY was dancing, having fun, loving the music. There were new songs and old songs, fast songs and slow songs, songs for everybody. We could have danced all night, but even still, when the party ended, everybody also felt like they met their dancing quota.

Trust in SODA. They've got the experience and the expertise to rock your wedding. They've got the professionalism and reliability to take the stress off. I can't recommend this band enough.

Rocked All Night

Awesome Band

Soda has a great catalogue of songs to choose from and they also did a beautiful job with the ceremony. Spend the extra money and get the saxophonist. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the band. We had guests book them for a party after hearing them at our wedding.

Best. Wedding Band. Ever.

Wow - where do we start?! Soda is the absolute gold standard in wedding bands. After we booked our venue, we instantly began our search for the perfect wedding band. Soda came on our radar right away and the next thing we knew we were headed to Chicago to see them play. The rest is history. We booked them right away and couldn't be happier with our experience working with them. They absolutely rocked and brought the house down at our wedding. Everyone hit the dance floor right away and Soda kept it full the entire night (including guests who normally aren't the biggest dancers). Rob did an expert job of MCing the entire evening. The professional musicianship (not to mention value) they bring to a wedding reception is unparalleled. The band is so crucial to having a great party for your wedding. Soda can play everything--rock, oldies, dance, you name it. We were married over three months ago and we still regularly receive comments from everyone on how awesome our band was. Soda also provided beautiful music for our ceremony (guitar and violin) and cocktail hour (saxophone and piano). We can't thank them enough for how special they made our day. The best wedding band!

I cannot recommend Soda enough. After a friend recommended them, we went to see the band when they were playing at a local bar/restaurant. We knew right away that we had to hire them! They have an extensive set list with something for everyone. The band is extremely professional, affordable, and communicating with Rob was seamless--even with some changes as a result of the pandemic. They are the best wedding band, and you will not regret hiring them!

Soda Elevated our Wedding Reception to a new level

We hired Soda for our wedding reception on 9/25/2021 and received so many compliments from guests of all ages. People mentioned how closely their songs sounded like the original artists. When we looked at their extensive playlist, all of our favorite songs from the 80s until the present were on it. We are so happy we switched from a DJ to the band Soda, as it elevated our reception to a whole new level! Rob did a great job as the emcee, especially in coordinating our photos with the guest tables and throughout the night. They kept the dance floor full the entire night. My husband and I enjoyed working with Rob to coordinate our wedding reception because he was very personable and accommodating. He was a joy to work with. The members of Soda are very entertaining and professional; we recommend hiring them for a wedding, special occasion, or any event. We cannot say enough about this band and would hire them again for any future event we plan.

Packed Dance Floor!

We are SO grateful we found Soda and that they were available for our big day! Rob was great to work with and made everything super easy and stress-free. They did an amazing job throughout the entire day/evening from the outdoor piano set during cocktail hour, emceeing throughout the reception, to the live performance after dinner (& even let my mom perform a few songs with them which was a must for me!). Their energy and set list kept our dance floor packed all night long and everyone was raving about them!! We had multiple people ask for their info to pass along to family and friends planning their weddings. Hire Soda, they will not disappoint!

We cannot thank Rob and the Band enough for creating lifetime memories for 3 of our children's weddings and the 4th one coming up this November, 2021. Our guests are blown away by the music, dancing and the overall atmosphere that is created by having Soda cover the evening! Rob does a fabulous job as our MC for the evening, announcing the bridal party, our new bride and groom along with beautiful dinner music and carrying us all through the evening with such a variety of dancing music, you just don't want them to stop!! Soda - Fantastic Experience

We heard of Soda from a friend and very pleased that they shared their info with us. Went to see Soda at a venue other than where we were having my daughters wedding.
Rob is laid back and told it like it is, not just telling us what we wanted to hear and then not deliver. They delivered on everything he said and more. Rob did a great job on intros and emceeing the celebration. The band sounded fantastic and the floor was packed from beginning till the end of the night. High marks on the keyboard and sax guys who played during the cocktail hour. Also, had a piano player near the entrance to welcome people into the venue.

If you are undecided on a band or DJ, I highly recommend getting a band because it makes the celebration personal and special. Soda sounded great people were busting at the seams to go out and dance. They know the right songs to play and when to play them. We provided a list of must plays which they played or we heard a recording of during their break.

Just cannot say enough about this group. Professional, kind, talented, and easy to work with. Kudos to Rob and the team of talented musicians in Soda.

Accommodating is an understatement with our experience with Soda. From changing dates because of COVID to working with our casual timeline, Rob was very professional and overall fantastic! Soda for Our Wedding

Soda performed for our outdoor, backyard wedding on 6/22/2019. They did an incredible job and had people dancing up until the time they packed their bags. I still have family and friends rave to me about the band, and how we should throw an event like this every summer and have Soda there. They were extremely accommodating and very easy to work with. I recommend also having their Sax player and additional band members/female vocalist as part of your event. Me and my husband highly recommend, and look forward to having Soda around here again soon!

A Wedding Experience!

We can't accurately put into words how incredibly perfect our wedding day evolved to be. SODA KILLED IT and we are so thankful for the countless hours they put into their craft. We have heard many times since our wedding that SODA is the greatest wedding band our guests have heard. We truly appreciate everything they did for us in coordinating and performing the ceremony music, the soulful jazz tunes during the cocktail hour and played a perfect reception mix as they covered songs across the decades and genres with amazing sound and ease. The dance floor was always full leaving empty table seats ALL night. SODA is a Wedding Experience as they MC'd the whole night, kept us on track, and put on THE BEST dance party ever. Not only do they check ALL the boxes on your checklist, but they go above and beyond to make your day special for you. Rob Loar of SODA made our event special to us when he called our Best Man up to play with the band. Devin and I are still on top of the world. More than a Wedding Band; A Wedding Experience

If you need a wedding band, you need to hire SODA. If you need a wedding band that can play songs across the decades and genres with amazing sound and ease, you need to hire SODA. If you WANT a wedding band that completes your checklist, and THEN, goes ABOVE and BEYOND your expectations, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, you need to hire SODA.

We hired SODA for our daughter’s wedding. Rob Loar was amazing to work with and worked tirelessly to make the entire day a day to remember. Rob arranged and/or preformed ceremony music to jazz tunes through the cocktail hour to a reception mix which showed that every single member of the band is exceptionally talented and experts at engaging the audience. We sang and danced our hearts out, along with our guests. SODA has the talent to appeal to all and will pack the dance floor with songs from a couple’s slow dance to those “wild” moves you never knew you had tunes. Rob accomplished all of this while MCing the event and keeping us on track to a beautiful, meaningful night. And that’s what sets SODA apart from the rest, meaningful. Rob found that one thing that filled the Bride and Groom with joy when he called their Best Man up to perform with the band. For a day that goes in the books, SODA placed that special meaningful touch to make the night go above and beyond our expectations.

Best wedding reception music ever!

I’ve been to weddings where a lot of guests dance at the reception, however, with SODA performing EVERY guest was dancing the entire night!!! Amazing energy level for hours! Rob was excellent at DJing and keeping the reception moving at a great pace from start to finish. They played our first dance song perfectly to the pace of the original which went well with our choreographed dance. SODA even took the time to learn the mother/son dance song. Amazing experience and a talented band! Thank you SODA!

This band ROCKS! We had them play our wedding in May and I'd have to say it's probably the expense I'm most grateful for. They had played my cousin's wedding about 5 years ago so I knew they were great, I remembered people having a lot of fun, and I expected to see the dance floor mostly full for most of the night. Well, they blew my expectations out of the water! The dance floor was packed, to the point of people needing to dance on the outskirts, literally from the start of the first song to the end of the very last. They had parents dancing, aunts dancing, cousins playing their tambourine! I even saw my grandma out there bustin' a move at one point! I already knew which songs we had picked to be played as recordings during their breaks and yet they sounded so good I found myself looking up from dancing multiple times to see if they were actually playing.

Besides putting on a great show and making sure all my guests' feet hurt the next day, Rob was especially nice to work with leading up to the event. Very responsive, to the point of answering my initial emails within a day while they were playing shows in the Everglades and had spotty service, and very professional. It's clear they've done this before and were really helpful in laying out a good timeline for the night. I could not recommend this band more! They're well worth the money, and then some!

Cannot recommend Soda enough for your event! Rob was extremely easy to work with in helping us plan the flow of the evening - and the night of everything went off without a hitch. The band was able to learn a couple of songs for us for first dances as well which is a nice touch. They are also really reasonably priced; absolutely worth every penny we paid! It was clear that they've done a ton of weddings and are absolute professionals.

The entire band is filled with great singers, and they've all got different voices, so you get a great variety of songs that will keep everyone satisfied (seriously, go look at their song catalog on their website!). It's everything from pop, ballads, classic rock, and some country. They kept the energy up and the dance floor packed the entire night. We got a ton of compliments throughout the night and afterwords about how great the band was. I cannot recommend these guys enough - you won't regret your choice with Soda!

Could not have been better!! Soda played at our wedding in downtown Chicago May 2018 and they crushed it! They provided live music for the ceremony (violinist and acoustic guitar) which was elegant and beautiful, and the full band for the reception. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, so much energy and a great mix of music. So many complements from guests. We booked them largely based on their great reviews and great price point, and after the reception I can say it was an unbelievable value. I recommend adding the saxophone player if they offer it. Really filled out the sound. Rob was easy to work with leading up to the wedding, very professional and responsive. We can't say enough great things!

Soda is the best decision anyone can make for their wedding! Having a live band brings a totally different energy and experience to the wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better band than Soda. They did acoustic for our cocktail hour and helped emcee the entire ceremony. The music was great and all our guests loved the band. I can't say enough good things about Rob and his fellow band members. They helped make the wedding a night we'll never forget. In October 2017, Soda brought my wedding to life! Rob Loar and Soda were awesome! Rob announced the entire wedding party after confirming pronunciations with me, he introduced each toast, and helped us facilitate a "picture game" to get a picture with every table. Everyone loved it! The best part was the music at the reception!! The band sounded great and kept the energy high and the dance floor full the entire night. The band shared their set list they built off of some songs we selected ahead of time and it was perfect! They were able to read the crowd and see that the energy was high and make the executive decision to shift some slow songs out; not every band is able to do this and it would clear the dance floor. Our guests have continued to rave about Soda and had the best time at our wedding because of them. We LOVE Soda! THANK YOU!

They were simply amazing! My sister in law used for her wedding as well, and they were just as good as we remembered!! We gave them a list of songs we liked and they put together a wonderful play list for both cocktail hour and dinner! The band is amazing and literally every person we talk to about the wedding talks about how wonderful the band was! Our dance floor was full from start to finish!

Soda Rocks was absolutely amazing! They were so easy to work with and really made my wedding day truly special! Without question, Soda is the best wedding and entertainment band in the area! We had Soda for our wedding, September 8, 2017. Their music choices, sound and chemistry within the group are spot on. Tammy the female singer is great along with the brass sounds and the multi-music talents of everyone in the group. The dance floor is always packed and our two best compliments of the night were the food and the band!! What more is needed? Rob is great to work with. Soda was extremely professional in helping us get ready for the wedding reception, in which we held in our backyard. During the reception, they were fun and personable. We were recommended Soda by our wedding planner and they did not disappoint! The wedding was in Dubuque, IA, and they were happy to travel over. They played during the meal and struck exactly the right balance of upbeat background music but not being at all intrusive and allowing people to chat. After the meal they played a fantastic selection of music and made sure there was something for everyone, no matter their age. The quality of their music and singing was first class. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had an amazing time. The fact that we have had so many compliments from guests on how great they were is a testament to this. We were so glad we booked them, they really made the night so memorable and fun. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Book them now!

We had a great experience with Soda. Rob even suggested that my husband and I come out to see them perform before booking and we were hooked. We booked SODA after reading great reviews on Wedding Wire and going to see them in person at a local venue. SODA did not disappoint. They had our guests dancing ALL night! Rob made sure we stayed on schedule with speeches and dinner to give our guests plenty of time to dance and have a good time. SODA exceeded our expectations. They learned our first dance song and it was perfect. The mother/groom and father/bride dances were just the right amount of time. My husband and I are so grateful we chose Soda to play at our wedding! Rob was absolutely fantastic from the moment we booked them to the very end of our wedding night! Rob talked with us various times throughout the wedding planning to ensure we were all on the same page. He also had SO many great ideas in order to make sure our day moved smoothly. We chose to have live music at our ceremony and Rob even learned the new instrumental in order to make that moment even more incredible! Rob was a great MC at the wedding and everything truly ran perfectly throughout the night! Rob mentioned when we first met him that he would play the songs we wanted but ultimately his band knew which songs would pump the crowd up and he was NOT kidding! Soda played at our wedding in April 2016 and did a fantastic job from start to finish. Rob was very easy to work with ahead of the big day, getting the booking set up, agreeing on a songlist, working out set-up details with the venue etc. On the night the band was very professional and versatile and played lots of songs that appealed to a wide range of people, young and old, which ensured the dance floor was always busy. The musicians are very talented and having Rob playing the trumpet on a few songs really expanded the repertoire and meant it felt like we had a much bigger band than a 4-piece without having to pay for 7/8-piece band. Rob also provided MC duties on the night to introduce the toasts and organized dinner background music. We and all of our guests were very impressed with the band and we would not hesitate to book them again.

Soda was absolutely fantastic and we would recommend them to any and all couples considering them for their wedding!! My husband and I knew we wanted a band vs. a DJ but weren't quite satisfied with the sound and feel of the larger brass bands ... Soda was definitely the right fit! Rob and the group can play a variety of songs and genres that kept our guests on their feet all night. Even 5 months after our wedding we continue to hear the best feedback from our guests about Soda, asking us where we found such a fantastic band to play at our wedding! Rob was also a breeze to work with - we planned our wedding remotely, but that didn't make one difference coordinating details with Rob. He was very flexible and easy-going, especially the day of the wedding ... I didn't need to worry about anything! We also gave him our first dance and father/daughter and mother/son songs relatively last minute, but they were so great to learn our first dance song to play all 3 songs live ahead of our reception start time. Looking back at all the photos and videos of the reception make us so happy, much of which is due to Soda for making the night so much fun!

Soda played at our wedding this year and I don't have enough nice things to say. Rob stayed in touch leading up to the wedding and played an amazing part in the setup. They made sure our favorite songs were played and even learned a couple new ones for us! The band was one of the biggest hits. They had all of the 290 people at our wedding up and dancing! I still have friends and family talking about what an amazing job that Soda did at our wedding. My wife and I choose soda after going out to a show that they were playing close by our house. They not only gave us several dates to choose from to go listen to them but also catered to our needs as we really wanted a female vocalist to be part of the wedding. Even though she was not scheduled to perform that night she came out, did the show, and we fell in love with the entire group and booked them immediately. These guys play everything from classical to rock, even some hip hop and sound fantastic. The flow of the wedding went very smoothly and the dance floor was packed until it was time to go home. I would most definitely recommend Soda to anyone that asked!!

SODA WAS AMAZING!!!!! I am still hearing so many compliments from everyone that it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Having never seen them and only hearing a few snippets on their website we took a bit of a leap of faith in booking Soda for our wedding. To anyone reading this, please take that leap with us! If you feel unsure at all, Soda will not only catch you, but raise you up too. Rob, Erik, Jeff, Mark, & Tammy ... Thank You! Thank you! Thank you! We did not want our reception to end thanks to you. We received unanimous approval from our guests. From our parents who are seniors, to the kids and teens, and everyone in between, all were overjoyed with the music. One of our college students remarked she was on the dance floor and did not realize the band was on a break. You guys are that good. One of the kids loved it so much her mother happily, I repeat happily, told us she developed a blister from dancing so much. I was worried some of the older guests would complain about the loud music, etc but instead we heard nothing but compliments. One of the first things my mother told me the next day was "That band was really good. Where did you find them?" If you knew my mother, you would not expect this. From "At Last" "Build Me Up Buttercup" and the Beatles to "Sugar" "Uptown Funk" and T Swizzle, your setlist was so diverse it included several selections for everyone. And Tammy... what an incredible voice! I cannot recommend this band enough to anyone looking for a great time at their wedding. They are extremely professional, talented, and fun. Rob is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We had a few last minute changes at the very end and he seamlessly took care of them. Also, from a price standpoint, we looked at several bands and Soda is very reasonable, so from a value standpoint, they are off the charts! If you want a great band that will play great music and keep the party going, Soda is your band. Their front man, Rob, is great at contacting the couple and making sure they put together a set that fits the type of night you want. Wishing I could give Soda more than 5 stars!

From day one Rob and Soda were such a pleasure to work with. We were planning our wedding from abroad and Rob was incredibly responsive by email. They also learned our first dance song which made it really special for us.

They were such an amazing band! I can't even say enough. We had so many positive comments about how great the band was and how it seemed like they never even took a break the whole night. There was not a moment where the dance floor wasn't full. We ended up having 2 full spreads in our album of people dancing and it was even tough to narrow it down to that. It was so obvious from the photos how much fun everyone was having! So many great memories!

They were also an incredible value for money. Throughout the whole wedding planning process I never ceased to be amazed how expensive things were once you said "wedding." The band was the one thing I would have happily paid more for. They also provided a DJ service for cocktails and dinner and Rob was a great emcee the whole evening…all included in the price of the package! It was great that they had multiple lead singers. You could easily forget that they were a cover band because they sounded so much like the original artist on such a variety of songs.

I would absolutely wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone having a wedding or event in the Chicago area.

There are not enough words to describe how great working with Soda has been. My wife and I were incredibly busy during the planning phases and mainly dealt with Rob via telephone and email, but his professional courtesy on those two platforms alone were enough indication to select his arrangement to perform at our wedding.
Rob was very involved in making sure we had our songs selected and made the process incredibly easy with worksheets and layouts. The band even managed to learn a song that was very special to us, and performed it better than I could have ever dreamed. Days before the wedding, when unforeseen events caused our bridal party lineup to change several time over the course of a few days, Rob was extremely flexible and didn't skip a beat in making sure his announcements were in line.
When Soda says they will be on time and ready, they are on time and ready. My wife and I were able to enjoy our day without stressing over the reliability of the the band. We knew they would be on time and ready to go. Sure enough, the performance went off without a hitch and the party was unbelievable. It was hard to keep your body from moving and the excellent energy drew people, who would otherwise be socializing at the tables, to the dance floor. I spent a majority of the evening hearing our guests rave about how fun it was to have a live band as fun, talented, and involved as Soda. As the groom, I was given one task, to find the band. I'd say I nailed it.

They deliver on every promise - they are responsive throughout the wedding planning process, they guide the flow of the reception perfectly, and your dance floor will be full for the entire night! We cannot recommend Soda enough. They were exactly what we were looking for: a fantastic cover band that would have the dance floor full. All night long: from guests in their teens and twenties to guests in their seventies.. They completely understood the feeling we wanted for our wedding. Rob was an unspeakably spectacular frontman.

Here's how good they were: they would go on a short break, and we wouldn't realize they did; they sounded so much like the songs they were playing that neither the guests nor we realized they took a break. They're the type of band we'd go to a bar specifically to watch one of their shows. Tons of fun

Hiring Soda for our wedding reception was the best things we could have done. To this day, our guests still comment on how amazing the band was. We could not have been more impressed with their playing skills and expansiveness of song selections. We were also married during the Blackhawks playoff season and Soda did everything they could to keep our guests informed. I would hire this band in a heartbeat for any occasion.

This band is the best! They have the ability to play all kinds of music from country to ballads to rock. Our guests were dancing all night , including the bride's 83 year old grandmother ! (who never left the dance floor) Rob is very professional and sooo easy to work with. No prima donnas here...just wonderful musicians that love playing their music and making their audience happy. Thanks so much Soda, you made our party incredible!

I cannot recommend Soda enough! They are the best, most bang-for-your-buck wedding band out there. We had heard them at a wedding a few years back, and the dance floor was never empty. We expected nothing less from our wedding - and the dance floor was packed all night long! The great thing about Soda is they know such a wide variety of songs so it pleases all attendees - from 9 to 99. We were careful about some of the music selections (no rap/electric slide/etc.) and Rob was more than accommodating. He was responsive, fast getting back to us, friendly to work with, and most of all - flexible. We had some changes to the reception schedule and it was a breeze. Their music is absolutely electric - it's so fun to experience their energy and sound, and they are so talented. Compared to other bands we researched, they were the best value for our suburban Chicago wedding. They even learned our first dance song since they didn't know it. I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you Rob and band for making our wedding the best night of our lives.

We had a great experience with Soda during our Sept28, 2014 wedding reception in downtown Chicago. Rob was great to work with during my phone convo's with him from contract talks to song selection process.

When we arrived at the reception we were able to chat for a few minutes and he gave a last minute suggestion on our entrance song, which was much appreciated and perfect.

Our wedding guests loved the music......especially as the evening went on the dance floor seemed to get more and more packed. The band seemed to pickup on those sorts of things and kept the dance music coming and everyone loved variety of tunes.....so fun. If a band is within your budget I would strongly recommend Soda versus a . SIDE NOTE: they played a nice selection of recorded tunes during dinner, and master of ceremony stuff was good too!

PS...Hopefully Soda enjoyed the "extra" band member tambourine player we provided them most of the night :)

Soda was amazing and a great vendor to work with! I received so many compliments from my guest about how great the band was. They played every song I requested and seemed to know exactly what songs to play to get the crowd dancing. I had "Then" as my first dance song and although that was not a song they knew how to play, they took the time to learn it!

Soda did an incredible job of performing, entertaining and hosting at our wedding. We primarily worked with Rob who was always responsive and professional throughout the entire process. He is a cool guy with a lot of event experience and I was very grateful for his ability to give advice but leave the option up to me. As a bride, I appreciated that because I needed suggestions, not restrictions. The band was very open to our song preferences and did a great job of reading the room to keep the tempo up all night. The dance floor was the center of the party which was important to the groom and I. There were people dancing that I never expected to see out there, the music was just too good to stay away! The range of this band is unbelievable, they played so many different genres and they did it all exceptionally well. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, they pulled out a trumpet and just crushed it.

If this review isnt enough to convince you, I highly recommend that you go see them play a concert. Their performance sells itself, the fact that they are professional and affordable just makes choosing Soda even better.

My husband and I are beyond pleased with the professionalism of the band, Soda. They touched base with us on numerous occasions leading up to our special day to ensure we had the same expectations and all details were shared. Rob from Soda offered to learn songs that was not on their list, such as our first dance and daddy daughter dance. It was amazing! I highly recommend this route versus a recording of the song. He even helped me decide the order of my reception when my wedding coordinator was difficult to reach. I can't say enough about them, they were fabulous! I have had so many compliments from wedding guests about the Soda. I will choose them all over again!

My husband wanted a band at our wedding that got his family up and dancing... Soda was exactly what he wanted! Soda not only played during our ceremony with a duo to start, but added more players as the night went on. This gave our wedding a variety of music. The highlight of the evening was when Soda not only had just about everyone on the dance floor but invited my dad to sing, "Mustang Sally" to our guests. They also sang "Happy Birthday" to one of our guests at dinner. The personal service and flexibility Rob Loar and his band mates possess made our wedding a wonderful night to remember. Thank you Soda.

Working with Rob Loar of Soda was the easiest part of all our wedding planning. He responds to questions in a timely manner and sends an information sheet prior to the event to keep the evening organized. Rob does an excellent job as the emcee, the band plays the best dance music ever, and they are an amazing value. We'll happily book them again for the next wedding in our family.

I highly suggest booking Soda for any sort of event. We booked them for our wedding and got nothing but awesome compliments on our choice. Many of the guests came up to us and said that it was the best band they have every seen at a wedding, and we agree! They made the night!

Soda made the event. From my initial contact with them to the last song, they were perfect. They are talented and know exactly what to play in order to get people on the dance floor. They take requests too! I highly recommend them.

Best band ever! We chose this band for our wedding, because multiple family members had used this band for their weddings. I was afraid of having the same band because many family members used them, but everyone still loved them. They kept people on the dance floor all night long. I would highly recommend this band to anyone.

Soda's performance was the highlight of the night! Rob was able to help guide us through the booking and planning process as well as make suggestions. All the band members were very professional and talented. We had overlooked the timing on the day of our wedding (we had a half hour less than we thought at our reception location) and Soda was able to change up their schedule to fit our last minute changes. I highly recommend booking Soda for your special event!

We found soda through an entertainment company. If you can find a band you like I would highly recommend going through the band directly. The entertainment company is great in providing lots of options but as soon as you sign with a band, you are working with the band directly for the rest of the process and you end up paying a higher rate through the entertainment company.

Rob from Soda (the lead singer) was our main contact from start to finish. We spoke several times over the phone to discuss the set list and the flow of the evening. Rob was amazing to work with. The band put together a set list that had everyone dancing all night long. We were a little nervous about the band because we never heard them live before the night of the wedding. However, they did not disappoint. They sounded amazing. They play so many different instruments (they even had a horn!) and all of the singers sounded wonderful. They had good energy.

Even the transition when they were on break was seamless. Rob provided DJ music during the breaks so there was never a moment without music.

Rob provided great MC services throughout the evening. He introduced the wedding party and did a great job keeping everything on pace for the night (first dance, cake cutting, etc…). All of the music was timed perfectly.

If you are considering a live band (which I would highly recommend), you should consider Soda. They are one of the best wedding bands I have heard and are great to work with. Thanks for making the evening unforgettable!

This review is pretty delayed but still relevant and well deserved. We had so much fun at out wedding (3/8/13) in spite of my stepping on my bride's gown during out first dance and having her fall down. To make it worse I continued standing on her dress and she couldn't get up. That aside, Soda Rocks! They played all the songs we wanted and even learned a couple new ones just for us and they were fantastic. I don't plan to be ever getting married again but in the unlikely event that I do, I'd have Soda again at the reception. Thanks Rob and all the band.

SODA IS AMAZING!!!! One year before my wedding I drove out to the suburbs to hear the band perform and I knew after the first song that they were the perfect fit for our Chicago wedding! For the remainder of the year Rob/Soda continued to not only help with the song choices (first dance, mother/son, father/daughter, etc.) but they also helped plan the entire sequence of events. I couldn't have asked for better team to work with! They were the highlight of our wedding and kept the party going all night long!

This band is unbelievable! My wife and I found them by searching online for a local band. We saw that they were playing at an Italian restaurant close by so we went to check them out. After a couple of songs people were getting up from their tables and dancing in the middle of the restaurant. Keep in mind, this wasn't really even the kind of place that people dance at. They could clearly work a crowd and had a great sound so we booked them for our wedding.

Soda was a HUGE hit at our wedding and they were extremely professional. We had comments about them all night and people asking where we found these guys. I still have people ask me about them on a regular basis and tell us it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding.

I would recommend Soda to anyone for any event.

everyone at my wedding complimented my choice of band. the guest are still talking about how good they were and the manager of the venue said they were the best they'd ever had there--keep in mind the wedding was in downtown chicago, so they've had a lot of bands. not only were they the best of the 5 bands i considered, they were the cheapest. rob is very helpful in planning and easily dealt with my type A bride ways. they learned some new songs for our day, and even waited until the last minute to set up because they knew that i wanted my dance floor outside and just needed to make sure there was no rain coming even though it had been raining off and on all day. we ended up being able to host the entire night outside with just a few heaters and it was as perfect as we had imagined!

Soda was a fantastic wedding band! We couldn't have picked anyone better. All of our guests were so impressed and couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had that evening. Additionally, as a vendor, Soda was very easy to work with, very flexible (both in terms of cost and music selection), and professional. I would definitely recommend Soda to anyone!

Great Band for a wedding and Rob was awesome to work with. He is professional, responsive and knows what kind of music to play to get people on the dance floor. The dance floor at our daughter's wedding was full the entire evening. I strongly recommend SODA for any event where people want to dance and have fun!

Well, based on others' reviews, I don't feel like I have much more to add, except to reiterate how AMAZING this band is! Most important advice, BOOK EARLY & FAST! My husband did extensive research on local bands and this was overwhelmingly the most recommended cover band, at an unbelievably fair price. This band seemed too good to be true, so we went to go see them play at a couple local restaurants and even though the female vocalist wasn't there, we immediately fell in love with this band. We were very excited about the prospect of booking this band, and were thrilled that they still had our wedding date available!

We thought (okay more the MIL thought) about getting a 5 or 8-piece orchestra to play our reception since we got married at the Knickerbocker downtown and wanted the music to reflect the mood. However, after looking at prices for these type of bands, we were definitely shocked. Even though we thought we wanted more of an orchestra type band, we realized that with a cover band as good as Soda, you get to hear all your favorite songs that really get the crowd going! The worst fear with a cover band is that the songs don't sound like the real thing, but the versatility and range of vocal ability of the musicians in Soda are really quite amazing - they nail such a huge variety of songs! When it comes down to it, your wedding is really the biggest party of your life, and choosing Soda was the best decision we made in creating an awesome party vibe for our guests! Lastly, Rob was so professional and on top of all the details, it made the planning a breeze - Thanks Rob for all your help!

Simply AMAZING!!!!!!! We have received SOOOO many compliments after our wedding that all start with this band!

Everyone in the room was up and dancing at all times. I felt as though the actual artist of each song must have been in the room playing because the energy was unreal. They nailed the new fun songs, and especially nailed all the old classic fun songs that everyone loves. People of all ages were exclaiming that this is the best wedding they have ever been too while on the dance floor.

Rob was so easy to with work with. He is on top of all the details and will make sure that everything is taken care of for you.

Thank you SODA! We had the time of our lives, the night would not have been the same without your MAGICAL performance.

The band was awesome! Rob was unbelievably professional and attentive to details. My husband hadn't heard them play live prior to our wedding day and he was blown away, all he could do was talk about how great they were the next day. They are great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely one of the best parts of our reception! Hands down the best band I have ever heard at a wedding before. Matter of fact we plan on going to see them where they are playing for new years. Everyone commented on how awesome they were and a few people inquired about them for a wedding they were working on. We will DEFINITELY have them again for some event. Anybody would be lucky to have them! It would be the best and easiest decision of your wedding :)

We had SODA play at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! The dance floor was packed the whole time. Soda is so versatile they can play all genres and play them well. From House of Pain to Zac Brown Band to Lady Gaga. Our guests have not stop calling to rave about how great our band was. At first, people were saying they couldn't believe it was a live band playing because it sounded so AMAZING!

Deciding to book Soda to play at our wedding reception was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. The first time we heard them was at Carlucci's in Downers Grove (where they often play). We only had to listen to about three songs before we decided that Soda was the band for us.

Soda has an amazing sound, great energy, and a huge cache of songs to chose from. The lead singer, Rob, was very accommodating to our needs, had great suggestions for us whenever we needed some direction, and did a spectacular job MC'ing the event. We got literally dozens and dozens of complements on the band from our guests, and Soda really knows how to pack the dance floor. We still can't believe how many of our guests stayed until the very end of our reception (at midnight) dancing.

Considering how great this band is, you would assume they would be expensive... but they weren't! Soda is very affordable and worth every single penny.

If you are looking to book a band for your wedding reception, look no further than Soda.
