We couldn't have been happier with Ryan as our wedding DJ! From start to finish, he brought incredible energy and professionalism that truly made our day unforgettable. He read the crowd perfectly, seamlessly blending a mix of classics and modern hits that kept everyone—from our grandparents to our friends—on the dance floor all night.

Ryan was incredibly attentive to our music preferences and even managed to incorporate a few last-minute requests without missing a beat. His transitions were flawless, and he really knew how to build the excitement throughout the evening. Beyond just spinning tracks, he created a fun and lively atmosphere that had everyone smiling, laughing, and dancing.

Ryan was also a pleasure to work with in the planning stages. He was responsive, organized, and went out of his way to make sure our timeline ran smoothly. He even coordinated with our other vendors to ensure everything was perfectly timed.

Great Musician!

Ryan is beyond awesome. We had our wedding this past Saturday and it was absolutely wonderful.

It started raining right as we were going to start dancing (of course the one day it decided to rain in San Diego) and Ryan was able to keep everyone dancing all night long despite it pouring rain. It was absolutely magical!

Our guests gave rave reviews on both the live music and the DJing. Thank you Ryan!

A great performer!!

I have worked with Ryan Hiller three times, twice for a corporate gig and once for my daughter’s wedding. Ryan is professional, fun, easy going, well prepared, great with attendees and a fantastic musician. We got So many compliments on his singing and Dj skills by our guests. The music was what we wanted to be memorable to our guests and Ryan delivered. He learned songs that the bride requested and he sounded amazing. Ihighly recommend him!

Easy-Going, Professional and TALENTED!

I had the pleasure of booking Ryan for my wedding. Our wedding was somewhat last minute, so I definitely got lucky! I loved that he could could do it all. He could sing, play guitar, DJ, and emcee. I had him DJ during the cocktail hour and reception, and play guitar / sing for dinner. It was PERFECT. We got so many compliments on his cover songs during dinner. For tables who didn’t know each other well, it made things less awkward for them to have entertainment to watch and sing along to.

Regarding the planning process, he was responsive and very easy to work with. We only needed one or two phone calls to really get the job done. He was extremely knowledgeable with our venue (La Valencia), and I trusted his judgement with everything. He offered to be as involved or not regarding the song list. I left most of the song choices up to him, which took a lot of pressure off of my and my husband. I never had to worry with Ryan, and that is more than you can ask for in a wedding vendor.

I hope I get the change to hear him play again! He really is talented!

The best dj and musician

Ryan was the BEST DJ and Guitarist that we have ever come across. The entire process was so easy and professional with him. We had several phone calls and a questionnaire about our expectations and must play/do not play, which he followed perfectly. The day of the wedding, he flawlessly executed our ceremony music, and our guests loved his guitar playing during cocktail hour. Our guests did not get off the dance floor during the entire reception!! Ryan was the best at reading the crowd and playing music that was tailored to our group. We would recommend him 100x over!! He was responsive, kind and really guided us through the wedding process.

He made the wedding exceptional!

We used Ryan for our daughters wedding July 8, 2023. Oh my gosh, you will never regret it if you do the same. We had him play live music as guests arrived and for the cocktail hour and a half. He then switched to a dj for the reception. We still are getting our friends and family tell us how amazing Ryan was for everything. His live music is off the hook and people felt like we had provided a full concert for the cocktail hour. When it came time for dancing, he totally rocked it. The dance floor was full all night long.
You will not regret bringing in Ryan for anything you made need.

Ryan delivered a wonderful experience for our wedding

Ryan was fantastic from start to finish. He played live for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and invited us to come watch him play a local show before we made the decision to book him. Made the process of selecting songs for all portions of our ceremony and reception easy, and was very accommodating with learning a special request song on short notice. Ryan Hiller with SoCal Wedding Music is a true talent!

We had Ryan at our Memorial Day weekend wedding in La Jolla at Martin Johnson House. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ryan. He made our job as the wedding couple so easy. He is professional, courteous and a great communicator. We had Ryan play acoustic guitar for our pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour. He then switched to DJ dinner and dancing. Every guest came up to tell us how much they loved Ryan and what he talent he was and we could not agree more. His vocal and acoustic skills are amazing and he is just a joy to listen to. He understood the vibe we wanted to create and we could not have been more pleased. The dance floor was never empty. We highly recommend Ryan for your wedding... he is also just a super great guy. Ryan is the best!

We had Ryan for our June wedding at La Valencia, and he was AWESOME! We cannot say enough great things about him!

We don’t live in the San Diego area, so we did not get a chance to meet him in person prior to the wedding. But we listened to a ton of his music online and we are now lifelong fans of Ryan Hiller!

He performed live for our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, DJed for the reception, and emceed the entire night! His voice and guitar skills are amazing… have a listen for yourself on his websites and YouTube.

Even more so than his exceptional musical talent, was his energy! We had a small wedding of about 40 people, which could easily get dull quick. But he kept the vibe alive all night long! We had a couple conversations with him prior to the wedding but gave him minimal direction on the music itinerary.
We simply asked him to bring the fun! He delivered the FUN above and beyond! Ryan was so awesome at reading the room, adjusting to the vibe, and playing songs that appealed to the entire group. From the 11-year-old boys to the 84-year-old grandmas, he had nearly everyone on the dance floor the entire night! Many guests (including myself) complained of being sore the next day from dancing so much!

All brides have different aspects of their wedding that are more meaningful to them than others… the flowers, the dress, the photos, etc. For us, the priority was the music for a fun dance party and Ryan provided that beyond our expectations. Since the big day our guests keep asking us for a redo in the near future because they had so much fun! Ryan truly made the entire night A BLAST for EVERYONE. We cannot thank him enough for making our wedding day what we had always hoped it would be and much more!

The Perfect Soundtrack

Ryan was so wonderful to work with! We went with acoustic for the ceremony and DJ for cocktail hour/reception and he was so great! He learned two songs for our ceremony and they were honestly such a highlight of the evening. The music was awesome and he adjusted based on the crowd that was dancing - he definitely kept us on the dance floor! We had family from Italy and he threw in some Italian songs that we requested. He is/was super responsive and truly a pleasure to work with. Definitely recommend him to all!

Amazing! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Ryan Hiller with SoCal Wedding Music was incredible! He played live music for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and then DJ’ed for the rest of the reception. The live music was fantastic! He has an amazing voice and is super talented. Walking down the aisle to Ryan’s beautiful acoustic version of one of my favorite songs was amazing. In the months leading up to the wedding, he worked closely with us to create the perfect vibe for each portion of the night. Ryan used our input and did a phenomenal job filling in the gaps. He perfectly curated the music to our crowd! Our wedding planner even mentioned that our dance floor was the most popping she’d ever seen! His MC’ing was also great! He made the night go smoothly and everyone had a great time. Ryan was great to work with: very responsive, professional, organized, eager to help, and made the process a smooth as it possibly could be. We will be recommending Ryan to everyone!!

The best singer you can choose in SD

Ryan was unreal! The entire night we could not stop hearing about how amazing our singer/DJ was. He knew how to read the room and adjust the music based on who was on the dance floor. He also made sure that we were in the loop the entire night. The best part about Ryan is when we were initially meeting and discussing what we wanted for our music he let us be as laid back or in control as we wanted. Can't recommend him enough!

Great combo of Acoustic and DJ!

Ryan did an excellent job at our wedding! He provided a combo of acoustic guitar and DJ. So happy we chose Ryan!

Ryan did an incredible job for our wedding! We reached out to him through the knot and was very quick to respond with videos and samples of what he offered. My wife and I wanted to have live music for our ceremony and have a DJ so we were hoping to find someone who could do both and once we saw what Ryan offered we knew he was our guy. Pricing is absolutely fair and worth every single penny, my wife and I can’t recommend him enough.

Ryan sent us a contact sheet for all music that would be involved with our ceremony and reception (Father/Daughter dance, Mother/Son dance, entrance, walk down the aisle, etc.). It was very clear and concise and left no room for error. He was able to cater to our needs was very accomodating throughout the whole process. We are also provided an extensive list of the live music Ryan was able to perform with his guitar and he was willing to learn a specific request that was not on his list. During the procession, one of the songs was a bit short due to the length of the aisle and Ryan, on the fly, continued playing a modified version so that no one would notice the mishap.

For the reception portion of our wedding we made it clear that we didn’t want any country music but we did want a lot of classic rock, hip hop, and anything to get people dancing. We loved that Ryan gave us the option to cue him if the father/daughter or mother/son dances were going long so he could wrap it up naturally.

Ryan kept our dance floor active and fun for 3 hours straight and that was honestly one of our biggest concerns, incredible job! Thank you Ryan for helping make our day so easy, beautiful, and fun. Our guests are still raving about what an amazing day it was.

Talented live musician and wonderful DJ

Ryan was an amazing addition to the day. His live music added something very special to the ceremony and cocktail hour. He has an insane amount of talent. His DJ skills were equally wonderful and he was able to get most everyone on the dance floor.
Additionally, Ryan was very easy to communicate with and volunteered his expertise as well as allowing us as a couple to make decisions for our day. I would highly recommend both his live music and dj services.

Favorite part of our wedding

When we asked our guests what their favorite part of our wedding was, everyone said the music! Ryan is an incredible musician and created the perfect ambiance for every part of our wedding. If you're looking for a musician who does it all, Ryan is your guy! Great DJ and emcee!

I'm really thankful that we had Ryan as our DJ and emcee for our wedding and we truly enjoyed working with him. We had a bit of an unusual request as one of our friends was planning to DJ for a couple of hours during the open dancing of the reception. Ryan was beyond accommodating to our needs and was very excited for our EDM themed wedding. There were some minor miscommunications and Ryan cleared them up quickly with grace and ease. He saved the night when our friend got a bit too drunk and started playing songs that were not on our playlist. Ryan has positive and genuine energy and I think that's really important when it comes to choosing such an important role for your wedding. Ryan fulfilled all of our requests and he did amazing. He is dependable and responds quickly to calls and emails. If we have some other opportunity to use his services again we definitely will. Absolutely Awesome!!!

100 stars aren't enough for Ryan!!! Friendly, incredibly talented, responsive, outstanding to work with, professional and flexible. We had very little notice to deal with the first CA offshore hurricane in 80 years to hit during out daughter's beach wedding. We had to make a few adjustments and he totally rolled with it. Ryan was still able to provide live music for the ceremony/cocktails and DJ/MC for the reception. He absolutely killed it! Everyone had a blast and absolutely EVERYONE was on the dance floor! Ryan, we can not thank you enough!!!

Exceptional Experience!

We had an exceptional experience with Ryan as our wedding DJ! He played some live music on his guitar as guests entered, and then DJ'd the rest of the night. We sent him a playlist of songs, which he played and also was able to mix in a few others to feel the vibe of the dance floor. Ryan was very easy and quick to communicate with and accommodated all of our requests. Our wedding was the best party we've ever been to, and majority of that had to do with the music! My heart is so full of gratitude for Ryan! We heard him perform in Del Mar and knew he was the one to play live music and be our DJ/MC at our daughter's wedding. Got the party started

Ryan was terrific!! We had him play live music during our wedding ceremony and dinner, and be the DJ and emcee for the reception + dancing. His emcee abilities were great but his live music was spectacular. We had many guests tell us how amazing he was and he had a great energy. He was also a pleasure to work with - he provided us with worksheets to help us figure out what song choices and styles we wanted (and didn't want) and was very responsive (unlike many of our other vendors). He was friendly and flexible, accomodating a last minute (day-of!) schedule change. We would absolutely work with Ryan again.

Ryan is an amazing singer/musician that does it all!!

When my fiance and I were looking for a musician for our small destination wedding in La Jolla in April 2021, we were referred by our wedding planner to go watch Ryan at a live gig he was doing while we were in town. We were blown away by his talent and enthusiasm, and hired him immediately. Throughout the planning process he was extremely professional, organized and helpful. He was also very willing to accommodate any special requests we came up with. We decided very late in the process that we wanted him to learn a song to play and sing for our processional, and without a thought he said yes, and it came off beautifully! He played guitar and sang a variety of current and classic songs (from our choosing) for our cocktail reception, then switched gears and was a DJ extraordinaire for the dancing! He is such a friendly and easy-to-work-with person that it makes every aspect of the wedding planning experience that much more enjoyable! I would give him a 10 out of 10 if I could!

Best Musician

I truly feel very lucky that we were able to book Ryan Hiller for our wedding this past Aug at Rancho Valencia. We had personal referrals to him from others and saw many great reviews online. We had the opportunity to see Ryan play at several venues in the San Diego area and I became obsessed with his music, vibe and highly engaging personality! He was super helpful leading up to our wedding, and prepping us for for what was to come. Ryan is the best of the best!

Ryan made the entire process so seamless and easy for us. He helped us choose the music for our ceremony, first dances, etc. and helped us craft the perfect experience for our wedding. He is not only an extremely talented musician but also a really fun/engaging performer and emcee! He answered all of our questions, supported the mic and A/V setup for speeches, and went above and beyond in all aspects. All of the guests at our party still talk about how amazing he and the band were. He played solo during cocktail hour and, as one guest describes him, he really does "have the voice of an angel." For the party, we chose from a list of songs to play and the band filled in the blanks and absolutely crushed it with every single song. Wedding Review!

We hired Ryan to DJ our wedding that was scheduled for March 21st 2020. You guessed it, Covid hit and we had to reschedule not once, but twice! Ryan could not have been more understanding and helpful through all of the reschedules and uncertainty that happened in 2020. We finally were able to get married in June of 2021 and could not have been happier with our decision to hire Ryan. He exceeded not only our expectations with MC'ing the wedding, but the energy that he brought to his music was amazing! I literally think the dance floor was packed the entire time. Can't recommend Ryan enough! He played live music for our wedding ceremony/cocktail hour, emceed the reception and DJ'd the dance floor all night. Look no further!! Ryan is your guy!! I wish I could give Ryan endless stars! Ryan worked with us the entire time we were trying to figure out our intimate, covid backyard wedding ceremony and reception. Incredible music artist and performer!

Ryan is an amazing artist and made our Wedding so special! We had a last minute change in venue d/t Covid-19 and he was able to help us ease our stress on figuring out the sound system for our outside ceremony at a park. He provided microphones and speakers so that everyone would be able to hear well. Ryan played acoustic at our ceremony and then played fun dancing, upbeat classics at our reception. He was able to feel the mood of our crowd and play music to keep the wedding upbeat and everyone dancing! He has an incredible voice and is phenomenal at guitar. Perfect Choice

Ryan provided the music for my son and his bride's wedding. He played some live music and also DJ'd all the fun danceable songs. The dance floor was busy all night long. Musician and DJ for my wedding

Amazing musician and dj

We are so happy we chose Ryan Hiller. Ryan was by far the best choice I we could have made. He is an amazing musician with an incredible voice. Our wedding started a little late, but our guests were thoroughly entertained by Ryan…in fact, they would have appreciated it starting even later so they could continue to enjoy Ryan’s music!! His cocktail music was fabulous then he switched to DJ for dinner and dancing. He literally is the best DJ, I have ever seen. He listened to exactly what style music we were looking for and he was spot on!!! Ryan was amazing in all aspects and we would highly recommend him! We were looking for live music to be played at our wedding and we came across Ryan, who not only is amazing when he plays live, but is a wonderful DJ. When we first contacted him he recommend we come see him live, as he stressed our wedding is a big day and he wants to make sure we would be happy with his playing style. We were so impressed when we saw him we decided that night we wanted him to be part of our day. During the planning process he made things so easy (especially since planning a wedding can be stressful) and even gave some suggestions we didn't think of. When the day finally came Ryan was even better than we expected and hoped for. We asked him to play a special song when I walked down the aisle and it is a moment we will never forget! Ryan was also a great DJ; he had everyone dancing until the very last song. People tell you your wedding day flies by and it is true, but you will remember dancing the night away and Ryan made our night even better. We still get complements on our DJ and the talented man who played at our wedding. :D We have been to several weddings since ours and we still rave about how lucky we were to find Ryan and have him be our DJ.

Many times you hire a DJ and that is all they do, Ryan goes above and beyond just being a DJ, he is an AMAZING singer that made the entire evening perfect! Htet & Anderson's Wedding -- 9/28/19

Hands down the best So Cal Wedding Music you can find is right here by Ryan. If you’re reading this, search no more. All our guest told us how great the music was from ceremony until the end of the night. We had Ryan perform live music for our ceremony and part of our reception. Then he busted out his DJ skills throughout the night.

Our wedding was a little difficult logistically since we had Ryan perform at La Jolla Shores beach and then move all his equipment to The US Grant hotel all within a span of one and half hours. He was able to setup all his equipment at our reception and we didn’t experience any technical issues throughout the night. Having Ryan at your wedding is similar to having your favorite artist perform at your wedding without the price tag of $40k per hour. He’s able to get everyone involved and on the dance floor throughout the whole night! It was a blast seeing our family and friends dancing all the way until the end. It’s not usual to see your 68-year-old guests dancing until midnight, but they were cheering on Ryan to play even more. They didn’t want the music to stop! Ryan does a phenomenal job at mixing up the songs to keep people showing their personal dance moves. We even had some guests trying to go shirtless by the end of the night!

If you want a memorable night with all you guests shaking their booties until the end of the night, then Ryan is the one. Ryan, we can’t thank you enough, you made our wedding night one for the books. True happiness is seeing all your family and friends having a great time, dancing with complete disregard of who’s watching, and enjoying the music that moves your soul!

PS: It was Ryan’s birthday that night too! Even though it was his birthday, he stayed later since our guests was having such a great time and didn’t want to stop dancing. Our guests actually asked for encore three times! And of course, Ryan happily played for them to their heart’s satisfaction! Thank you, Ryan!

Incredibly Talented & Overall Awesome Guy!

Ryan was absolutely AMAZING! We couldn’t have asked for a better musician and DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception! He was so friendly and easygoing the first time we spoke on the phone, it felt like we were talking to a good friend. He was always responsive and catering to our needs, so we knew we’d be in good hands. He was an incredibly talented musician for our ceremony and played the best music during our reception - our guests were on the dance floor all night and we ended up paying him extra to keep him around longer! If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn’t think twice about booking Ryan. You will be in great hands with him!! Thank you so much Ryan!!!!

Awesome artist and DJ

Ryan did a fantastic job setting a great atmosphere at our wedding. He played covers during cocktail hour, managed our playlist during dinner and got our guests dancing at night! Everything was perfect an everyone was so pleased by Ryan’s performances.
We got all the songs we wanted and more, we really had a blast!

We were wowed

I wish I could give Ryan more stars! I am a professional wedding planner. I’ve had the honor of working with a lot of musicians and DJs and Ryan is the best of the best. He has an insane knowledge of music, a huge songbook and most importantly an innate ability to read the crowd. My son’s wedding last month was the third wedding I saw him at. Each wedding was unique to the couple and the venue. Ryan is lovely to work with. He literally learned two ceremony songs just days before the wedding. As a wedding planner I always say the music is the number one thing to make or break a wedding. Ryan made our wedding.

Ryan's Acoustic Performance =Rockin' Party

Ryan really made our wedding exceptional and unlike anyone else's with his acoustic performance during the ceremony and wedding dinner. He learned and played a custom song for us for our first dance, and another song for when I walked down the aisle. The ceremony song was a pretty tough Bob Schneider song, but Ryan did it flawlessly and with his own style. He is so talented and we got so many compliments from our guests. He really puts on an atmosphere that is fun and what people want to hear. He just makes you want to dance!

Ryan DJ'd for our reception and had everyone dancing until the wedding ended. Having a packed dance floor was one of my wedding goals - mission accomplished!

I would recommend Ryan to any bride and groom and look forward to seeing Ryan perform again.

Talented musician and DJ

We were so thrilled that we got the opportunity to have Ryan be a part of our wedding. From the moment we first heard him play we were blown away by his talent and knew that he would be perfect.

Throughout the experience Ryan was a pleasure to work with and was extremely helpful and supportive, essentially guiding us through the entire process and providing great insights along the way.

While a phenomenal musician, Ryan was also an excellent DJ, ensuring the dance floor was always jumping! (Having Ryan do both live music and DJ was a huge bonus for us and made our lives so much easier).

We can't recommend Ryan highly enough. We consider ourselves very lucky to have had him play such an important part of our special day.

Exceptional - you won't regret booking SoCal Wedding music

We came over from the UK for a beach wedding on October 25th 2018 at the Bahia in San Diego. We researched a lot about who we wanted to play at our wedding as we love music and this was very important to us. When we came across SoCal Wedding music/ Ryan we knew he would be perfect for our day and we were totally right. As we were in the UK we communicated a lot over the phone and email, Ryan was very approachable and friendly and made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.

Ryan is talented beyond words, he has the most beautiful voice and his guitar playing is exceptional. Ryan is very professional and helped us organise the day as we did not have a wedding coordinator, he guided us with song choices and was open to learning new songs to play (even though he has a huge selection of songs). Ryan sang for the guests before the ceremony, played whilst I walked down the aisle, sang and played during a 2 hour cocktail party and then DJ’d for the rest of the night. He was a lot of fun, all our guests commented on how much they loved him. To anyone reading this review, you will not regret booking Ryan Hiller/ SoCal wedding music

Easy to work with great musician

Incredible experience! Ryan was a highlight of our wedding. He played acoustic guitar for our ceremony and dinner and our guests were amazed/swooning. It made for such a romantic evening for our intimate wedding.

When it was time to party Ryan made a great DJ with minimal input from Abby and I. As working professionals trying to put together a wedding 2000 miles from where we live was a challenge. Ryan was easily the best vendor we had and made it a breeze.

13/10. He makes us want to get married again.

So helpful and talented!!

Ryan was the most helpful and personable musician. Not only did he perform amazing live music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner - he also was an amazing DJ for our reception! Through the entire process Ryan was very organized and so helpful with recommendations for song choices, and made my planning process so much easier! He was always an email or call away with any question I had. The most compliments I got during our reception was how great our music was, and I even had engaged friends ask for his name and said they were gonna steal him from us! Do yourself a favor and go see him perform live and meet him in person, and prepare to be impressed! Thank you Ryan, you made our wedding a breeze! Absolutely the Best!

Ryan did a fantastic job at my daughter's wedding! He played live (guitar/singing) for the ceremony, cocktail hour and first dances, and then switched to DJing for the reception - all of it amazing! I had at least 10 (probably more!) people tell me how much they enjoyed the music - each one very impressed that I was able to score such a seasoned excellent musician :) On top of that, Ryan is super nice and easy to work with. He is absolutely worth every penny - you (and your guests) won't be disappointed if you hire him.

SoCal saved the Last Minute Planners!

We decided last minute to get a DJ, and I didn't think I had a shot at finding one last minute. I called Ryan at SoCal, he was booked, but he found us the most perfect DJ, Joe Cardillo. Joe played Acoustic for the 1st half and DJ the 2nd half. He was extremely talented.
Everything was perfect! Ryan handled all the behind the scenes and both Ryan and Joe made everything seem like they knew us and this was planned all along.
My husband originally didn't want a DJ and was fighting me on it, and he was soooo happy afterward.

Hire Ryan for your event. You will not regret it. He came highly recommended from one of our good friends so we went to watch one of his performances so we could see what all the hype was about. We were obviously so impressed we asked him to perform at our wedding the very next day! He was beyond helpful throughout the entire process and helped so much with all of our song selections. Our guests were coming up to us during the wedding to tell us how much they loved his live music! He is an amazing DJ and played the exact type of music that I wanted and kept the party going all night. He is so talented and I am so glad he was able to be there for our special day.

Ryan was such an amazing performer and DJ! He made our wedding so magical and perfect we really couldn’t of asked for a better musician! Where to start...Ryan was amazing! I originally found Ryan thru a wedding website and noticed he had great reviews. After a few email exchanges, I hired Ryan before my husband and I even heard him play live. After we booked him, we finally were able to go out and see him play and we were in awe of his talent! We enjoyed watching him play live so much we attended a couple gigs prior to our wedding. We hired Ryan to play live at our reception on March 10th, 2018. He was also our MC and DJ later in the evening. In a word, Ryan was awesome. When I first met him he put my mind at ease as I could tell he was organized, professional, and a really talented musician. He’s an all around good guy too and willing to be as helpful as possible in planning a great event for you. Additionally, he’s very responsive via email or phone and always mindful about being available to help answer any questions you may have regarding your event. My friends and family really enjoyed listening to him play live at our reception. I’d highly recommend Ryan if you need any entertainment for your wedding ceremony or reception.

Ryan was such a special addition to our wedding day. We had him perform an acoustic set at our garden cocktail hour and he DJ’d the rest of the evening’s events. We had also asked him to learn our first dance song, which was the most romantic and emotional part of the whole day for me. Our guests didn’t want cocktail hour to end because they were enjoying his set so much. I’ve received so many compliments about him from everyone that was there! He took all of our song requests to heart and then went above and beyond. We literally had to kick people off of the dance floor at the end of the night – no one wanted it to end! Aside from the wedding day, we have seen Ryan play around San Diego at venues. He is always so gracious, kind, and a truly talented performer.

Ryan Hiller is amazing. He was the first vendor I contracted because I was so worried he would get booked by another bride... I HAD to have him play at our wedding! I found Ryan Hiller through an online search for a wedding musician... His reviews were awesome and seemed very sincere, so I decided to give him a call... We had a very nice chat, he was real cool to talk to. Ryan invited my fiancé and I to come to one of his shows at a local Bar/Lounge in Del Mar... We quickly noticed that Ryan is beyond talented... He has such an incredible voice and is an amazing guitarist. We chatted with him and he squeezed in a few wedding songs so we could get a feel for what he can do. He had us teary-eyed instantly...we had found our guy! Ryan was so great throughout the process and even learned a few songs for us. When the wedding day came he honestly blew it out of the water. Ryan made the day so perfect, we were so lucky and proud to have him preform... We had so many guests tell us how great and talented a singer he is, and that he DJ'd the best reception/"dance party" they have been to in a long time. This guy knows what he is doing and he can do it all, from ceremony music through the reception. Ryan was so thoughtful and considerate throughout this process. I could not have asked for a better performer at my wedding reception than Ryan! His live performance during cocktail hour and dinner was phenomenal, and all of my guests were very impressed with his musical talent. He was also a great DJ when it came time to party, and incorporated my song requests as well as other great dance beats. Ryan is absolutely amazing!
They say your wedding day will fly by and things may become a blur. One thing that stands out from the day/night is Ryan singing and playing the guitar- doing what he does best! When I close my eyes I can picture it- From hearing him play while my best girls walked down the aisle before me, to the special moment with my Dad walking me down the aisle, to after the ceremony, during pictures, Ryan doing his thing, I waved a big "Hi!!" And in between songs, ran over to give him a hug. To Ryan playing during dinner, "Baby I love Your Way" it all brings me back to our special day!

My husband and I decided to do a destination wedding- we live in Northern Virginia, and the wedding was in La Jolla. Thank goodness for Google, because that is where I came across Ryan. After researching him, watching YouTube videos, I reached out to Ryan for more information. From start to finish, Ryan was always very polite, pleasant and patient when listening to our needs. He is a very talented musician and extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry. He offered advice about the music options we had for our wedding, which really helped. Ryan played live music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and part of the reception. He DJd for the remainder of the evening and everyone just loved everything about him!!!

I highly recommend Ryan, he really completed our night and made everything come together. He has such a good vibe and we love hearing him play! We had a terrific experience with Ryan. He played and DJ'd our wedding in June. The first time I called Ryan, we spoke for a half hour, and he patiently answered my questions, inquired about our preferences, and discussed his background in music and the wedding business. He encouraged my wife and I to come to one of his shows so we could see if he would be a good fit for us. We drove down to San Diego one weekend and saw him play. He is a truly gifted musician and his style was a great fit for us. By the time he finished the second song we knew we wanted him to play our wedding. Ryan is also a genuinely good guy. On his set breaks during that show, he came over and sat with us to get to know us better. In the months leading up to the wedding, we spoke several times on the phone and he was always responsive to questions and requests. We gave him a short list of songs we wanted him to play, but we left a good deal to his discretion, because we trusted his taste in music and his familiarity with our tastes. He did not let us down. Both his live music and DJ'ing during the wedding were excellent. We received several compliments from our guests on his performance. Ryan is both an incredible musician and a professional wedding vendor and, in our experience, that's not easy to find. He has our highest recommendation.

If you're looking to create an intimate atmosphere for your guests, Ryan is the perfect musician to do just that. He is not only a skilled DJ but a very talented musician and he utilized both talents to set the perfect tone for our wedding. Perhaps one of the most special moments that my husband and I will cherish forever is dancing to Ryan's live rendition of our first dance song, "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Even during the event, we had many guests come up to us and tell us how much they were enjoying the music and how it created the perfect atmosphere for the overall vibe of our romantic, rustic event. Ryan truly cares about his clients and even offered to meet with my husband and me months before our big day to make sure we had all of our questions answered. He also fielded many email exchanges leading up to the event. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better vendor to work with in executing our wedding day. We hope to attend one of Ryan's local gigs in the future.

After hearing Ryan play a live show, we were sold on having him perform at our wedding (9/26/15). After meeting with him and his lovely wife Nicole, we hired them and selected the Trestles package for our big day. Ryan and his wife Nicole were extremely easy and pleasant to work with from start to finish. Ryan even helped us complete our song list and gave some great suggestions. With only a weeks notice, we requested a song for my Bride's entrance that Ryan didn't happen to play. It was no problem for this pro and he absolutely mastered it in time for our wedding, making it one of the most memorable moments for me personally. Ryan performed during our cocktail hour and then transitioned to DJ for the reception. Trust me when I saw that Ryan is equally as good at DJ'ing/MC'ing as he is on vocals and the guitar. Working off our timeline, Ryan seamlessly transitioned from one event and song to the other. Ryan & Nicole were amazing and such an intricate part of our day. So Cal Wedding Music was a great addition to our wedding day! Ryan Hiller sang at our Ceremony and Cocktail Hour! He was perfect and added to our personal touch to the wedding! We had the pleasure of having Ryan play for our wedding ceremony and I HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for good music to set the tone of your wedding! I booked Ryan a year before my wedding and throughout that time he was very responsive to emails and phone calls. He was very helpful with ideas and right before the wedding gave me some professional advice about song choices that made the ceremony better. Ryan played beautifully at our ceremony, I wish I was there to see firsthand but I was able to listen to him a little as I was waiting for my walk down the aisle and it sounded so good! We can't thank Ryan enough for all his hard work that made our wedding day perfect!!
