Smoov made our wedding such a blast! Guests were dancing all night and had nothing but positive feedback from the song selections. Daniel was very responsive and detail-oriented in my communication leading up to the wedding. Mason was our DJ and he was professional, fun and flexible with our requests. -

Daniel and Kristin were the perfect team! They went above and beyond to make planning our wedding music, uplighting, and photo booth as easy and stress free as possible! Our guests raved about the photo booth pictures; the quality of pictures, back drop, and props were outstanding! The music was equally as sensational and the online customer portal made selecting songs, informing Daniel of the timeline, and just overall detail coordination a breeze! Daniel was extremely polite and very well organized, and was quick to respond to any questions during the months leading up to our wedding. Josh and Nick were amazing DJs. They were very helpful answering all of my questions in the weeks prior to our wedding and kept in touch throughout the wedding night. The DJ is one of the most important vendors at your wedding, as they're the people who make sure your dance floor is occupied and people are having fun. You won't regret hiring them! We highly recommend them! -

Where do I begin with how AWESOME Smoov Music is!? Danny was amazing to work with while booking and with answering any questions we had! Connor was our head dj and he was FANTASTIC! Our dance floor was packed from the moment it opened up and stayed like that till the very last song! The uplighting just made our whole venue and decorations look complete! | HIGHLY recommend booking with them! They are seriously the best and made our wedding one we will never forget! -

Smoov Music was the perfect DJ sound and lighting company to partner with for our Fall wedding in Madison. Daniel was communicative with us through the entire process, answering all of our questions in a timely manner. Their online portal allowed us to easily incorporate our day-of timeline as well as request specific songs to be played to completely tailor the playlist to our wants. Shaun was our head DJ and met with us a week prior to our wedding day to walk through all details to make sure everything ran smoothly and night of, had the perfect playlist to blend in while guests were eating their meals and stand out while dancing, keeping the dance floor full the entire night. We’d highly recommend the Smoov Music team to anyone looking for an experienced and professional audio and lighting partner for their event! -

We knew Smoov Music was a great partner from the beginning. We had a consultation with Andy, our lead DJ, about a month before the wedding. He went over any details we had questions about and made sure he knew all the logistics for our big day. Their extensive list of music had almost everything we needed, and when I asked for a few extra songs so we could have them for our ceremony, Daniel and Andy we quick to buy them and make it happen for us. Our wedding day was such a wild success, and we are so grateful for Daniel and his team pulling everything together for us. When Andy arrived for our ceremony, we weren't able to connect with him because we were so busy taking photos and everything else. Even still, he made everything for ceremony music and our live singers go smoothly! Following the ceremony, the transition indoors for cocktail hour was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their drinks to the wonderful sounds of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. We kept the night moving and had an exciting grand march, and people would not stop giving us compliments about how great the music was all night long. Our dance floor was PACKED. We also threw Andy a couple curve balls with a birthday announcement we requested and some fun light up glow sticks we had him hand out to the crowd. He was quick to jump in and handle whatever we needed him to! A huge thank you to him and the way Smoov Music runs their business. We were so impressed throughout the night! -

Smoov Music provided us an incredible DJ, Tony. He took our thoughts into account and provided his own guidance and recommendations, which turned out to make our wedding day that much more special. Tony DJ’d the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception at a venue he hadn’t been to before, and it all went seamless. He played great music and kept the dance floor packed! The uplighting added another element to our venue that really enhanced the atmosphere. Thank you Smoov Music! -

Smoov Music did an amazing job at my wedding reception two weeks ago. My sister had them DJ her wedding reception 9 years ago and I knew I wanted to use them at my reception as well. They are good! During the planning portion, Daniel the owner, was always easy to get a hold of to answer questions and give suggestions. At the reception, they did it all...lighting, cocktail music, special dances, and of course dance music. The dance floor was always full with people dancing and having fun! They are definitely a professional company that does an amazing job! -

Thorough Planning and Easy to Work With
We had to postpone our Saturday, May wedding to a Friday night in August and Smoov Music was so patient and understanding. The back and forth email communication was good and their web portal with planning documents is super thorough! Andrew, our DJ, was great to work with and easy to chat with on the phone in the weeks leading up. Smoov did both our ceremony and reception music and handled a last minute song change for our processional really well. Kept everyone dancing too even during a pandemic. Super glad we went with them! -

Smoov Music was a vital part to our wedding day! We met Daniel at a vendor event put together by our venue, and knew immediately after talking with him that we had to book their services. Daniel and the team helped address any and all concerns early on so that we wouldn't have to worry about a thing when our wedding day came. The process of communicating the vibes your going for within each part of the day was made super easy through their online planning forms. Connor was our head DJ the day of, and he kept our party going from start to finish! He was extremely friendly and would double check on things at the perfect times on the actual day. Smoov Music truly wants you to have the most perfect day, and they went above and beyond for us! We could not have asked for a better DJ, lighting, and phot booth package. -

My brother hired Smoov Music for his wedding, then my cousin hired them for her wedding. I knew I was hiring them for mine as well. Communication is superb. Professionalism is perfect. The owner of the company; Dan, is a great guy to work with. The DJs assigned to my event were great, we went through schedules, music, we had a special dance that went off flawlessly. They did uplighting in my venue which was awesome!! Mason was a great MC and helped keep our wedding timeline on schedule. I instructed our DJs (Mason & Brett) to change the song if the dancefloor ever cleared; definitely followed that direction, and people danced all night. Our guests raved about the music and fun they had! Do I recommend Smoov Music & Sound? Absolutely YES -

User901410 Sent on 08/16/2012My fiance and I did a lot of research when it came to selecting a DJ for our wedding. We had been to weddings where the DJ had made the night or ruined it. We read books and contacted and met with a number of DJs in the Milwaukee area. I had met contacted Dan and then met him at a bridal expo. He remembered who I was and was able to give me a list of what they would be able to do, advantages to using Smoov Music and information that was specific to our wedding versus a list of information that didn't pertain to us. When we met with Dan, we were immediately impressed. Dan was extremely professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He came to the meeting prepared and confirmed the price he had quoted us and had our individual contract ready to go. He was able to answer our long list of questions and understood the "vibe" we wanted. He always responded to our emails quickly and thought of details we didn't. Even after signing the contract, Dan was incredible to work with. He would email us with ideas for the lights set-up and got familiar with the space we were using the reception and met with us at the venue to talk through the day. There are a ton of things to stress about when planning a wedding and I never worried about anything related to our DJ. Another great resources was the online system Smoov Music uses. We were able to pick songs we wanted, and fill out forms with details for the day. I was finishing school in Minnesota and it was incredible to everything online that we could access. Dan and his team did a phenomenal job at the wedding. He did exactly what he said he would do. He had the perfect balance of announcing things for our guests but not over-doing it. We had a blast dancing because we had such a part in what songs and what kinds of songs were played. We highly recommend Smoov Music to anyone planning their wedding that wants a personal, professional DJ they can trust and wants to celebrate and have a blast at their reception. Great DJ!!
We had such a great experience with Smoov! From start to finish, they made everything so easy. Their website was super user friendly, and we could add our must plays, do not plays, and all of the other details in one place. We also had multiple meetings leading up to the wedding, and they made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it.
They even went above and beyond to include a special song we requested that wasn’t in their database for our ceremony, which meant a lot to us. The uplighting looked amazing and totally elevated the space, and the fun light effects during the reception added such a great vibe.
They brought awesome energy, kept everything flowing smoothly throughout the night, and did an incredible job reading the crowd. Overall, they were professional, personable, and really made our night unforgettable. We’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ! -

Initial phone conversations was great. Day of wedding was horrible. DJ Shawn had an emotional meltdown to the point his assistant called the owner to the wedding venue. Owner came to venue to provide the DJ a “break” then left after speaking with brides family. He wouldn’t take any requests from guests. Needless to say no tip was provided to the DJ after a discussion with owner. DJ wasn’t set up for wedding for officiant. Music was a mess for wedding. Wouldn’t recommend for that special day. On a side note this rating falls on the DJ company but should be guided more to the actual DJ Shawn. As Daniel (the owner) he was professional. -

Do not book this DJ if you want things to go smoothly! At my wedding, there was no audio during the ceremony. Our guests couldn’t hear a single word, despite my wedding planner going up to the dj and pointing out they weren't working. This was incredibly disappointing and completely avoidable, given that I’d confirmed all details—including the type of microphone—well in advance and again the week of. Instead, they arrived with the wrong equipment and failed to deliver on what was promised. After the wedding, I reached out politely to discuss the issues, but received no response whatsoever. This lack of professionalism and respect for their clients is unacceptable. I would not recommend this DJ to anyone planning an important event.
