  We loved working with Matt Sloan. He is super friendly, knows exactly what shots you’ll want, and has a keen ability to make even the most photo-shy among us feel comfortable. The photos he took were unique and absolutely gorgeous – months later, I’m still getting compliments from my friends and family about how beautiful they are. His style is natural, sophisticated and artfully composed; he did a wonderful job highlighting both us and the beauty of our venue. We had a ton of fun with him on our wedding day, and felt comfortable with him immediately. So comfortable, even, that he got mistaken as a friend or family by many at our wedding! He’s a ton of fun to be around and really knows what he’s doing. We will treasure the photos he took forever. One of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process was to work with him. We highly recommend Matt & Angie to all engaged couples!

  I cannot say enough great things about Matt. We booked Sloan Photography after seeing a photo we loved and after reading so many great reviews. We were nervous because we are not from the United States (him-Scotland and me-Canada) and Matt did not disappoint. He was genuinely invested. He is totallly present and there for you. He has such a warm personality and this really made me feel comfortable, did I mention I hate having my photo taken? Matt had the perfect sense of when to capture all the right moments. It was just the two of us and having Matt with us made the day extra special. He kept watch of the time, kept up the momentum, we shared laughs, stories and he had such great ideas. I'm awkward and he really helped me feel comfortable (no small feat!). Matt communicated with us via email months before the weddding and I had known even then we chose the right people. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. If booking someone online is a bit frightening and someone so important as your photographer, trust me when I say, that Sloan was the best wedding decision I made (even better than my dress) I know- right? You cannot go wrong.

  What an amazing couple! Beautiful people, beautiful shots, beautiful day. Our experience with the Sloans was simply perfect. Matt & Angie were lovely, professional and made us feel so comfortable. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Sloans!!

  From the outset, Sloan were my favorite. I looked at so many photographers and did my research, but Sloan were by far the best and I liked their work from the outset. When I met Matt Sloan, I instantly clicked with him, which I heard was very important for a photographer. I not only loved his work, but thought he was awesome.
  
  We first worked with Angie and Matt for the engagement shoot. Angie is also amazing. We had so much fun. My husband was not looking forward to the shoot, but afterwards could not stop talking about how much he enjoyed himself. This was mainly due to Matt and Angie and how fun and at ease they are.
  
  The wedding day was the greatest day ever. Matt and Angie kept the flow going beforehand (we did a first look...then took a party bus for pictures before the wedding). They were such good sports, traveling around Pasadena while the wedding guests were drinking and being rowdy. But they kept the best attitude and kept a good schedule, which is so important.
  
  At the wedding, I did not even notice them! I thought that was great, because they let us enjoy our guests and our wedding, without having very many of the posed shots. This is why we chose them in the first place and it was perfect!
  
  I can't wait to see the final product, but what I saw from the engagement shoot and from the experience I have had, I would and will recommend Sloan Photographers to everyone.

Our engagement & wedding photos are truly works of art. None of that typical cookie cutter stuff here! Friends and family were in awe when they saw all the photos. Our wedding was even featured in several well known blogs - woot! If photography is ranked in your top 3 most important details of your wedding - I highly recommended the Sloans. Their work is some of the best you'll see in the industry.

  Matt and Angie are awesome. Or maybe they are RAD? Either way, you have to have them at your wedding. Not only are they a lot of fun, they are extremely talented too! I haven't seen our wedding pics yet but I know they will be amazing. Our engagement photos were beautiful, as is everything I've seen them do (check out their blog, you'll be addicted). They were so fun to have at the wedding my sister kept commenting that she wanted to be best friends with them so they could come to all of our events! Seriously, if great photos are important to you then contact Matt and Angie NOW!

  Matt and Angie were so wonderful to work with!!
  
  We were very intent on getting photographers who had shot at our venue (Gardener Ranch) -- which actually left us with a lot of great options. After vetting 10+ options, we settled with Matt and Angie because they ultimately had the best photos and great reviews (the couple that they previously shot at Gardener were coincidentally friends of friends). Given that Matt and Angie would be traveling from the LA-area, they were also willing to include a few extra hours and sessions to help us capture other events throughout our wedding weekend, including a portrait session, our Welcome BBQ, and traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
  
  Their photography style is also very natural and I still can't help but be impressed by how well they work together and complement each other.
  
  Not only were they very flexible with the shooting schedule for the weekend, but also were very open and interactive with us and our guests throughout the weekend. In our initial portrait session, Matt and Angie made conversation to help us feel more comfortable and to get to know us better, which both my husband and I appreciated being the awkward people we are in front of cameras. And throughout the weekend, Matt and Angie interacted with guests, getting to know them and making the whole photography process more organic and embedded in the event. They were also super helpful throughout the weekend as well, doing things that were not at all part of a photographer’s job description (e.g., helping us find our wedding coordinator, helping pass messages between my husband and I while we were getting ready).
  
  Overall, Matt and Angie are a wonderful couple and talented photographers that go above and beyond for their clients.
