Incredible experience having our wedding at SKY Armory. The owners are kind and very involved and the coordinator, Lisa, is a joy to work with. They walked us through every step and we created our dream wedding with much less stress than I thought possible. The ambiance was beautiful, food was incredible. Our guests had so many nice things to say. We’ll be back for future parties, showers, corporate events. -

We got married at SKY Armory in July 2025, and it’s hard to put into words how perfect everything was. From the very beginning, the SKY team impressed us with their professionalism, clarity, and care. We knew we wanted a downtown venue that could handle most of the logistics, and SKY exceeded every expectation.
The setting is urban and industrial in the best way, housed in a former department store that has been transformed into a modern, stylish space. We rented the first-floor ceremony space, which is bright, simple, and elegant, and the second-floor ballroom for the reception. The ballroom is incredibly spacious and can be arranged with a variety of table shapes and layouts. Our guests appreciated being downtown with plenty of hotel options nearby and easy access to parking. We were especially grateful for the indoor setting and air conditioning, as the temperature hit over 90 degrees that day.
One of SKY’s greatest strengths is that they manage almost everything in-house. They took care of the florals, food, drinks, cake, decor, setup, and cleanup. We only needed to book our photographer and DJ. While they offer recommendations, they are flexible if you want to bring in someone else. We truly felt like guests at our own wedding, which is exactly what we had hoped for.
The staff was outstanding. Lisa was a fantastic guide throughout the planning process, and Angela’s floral work was breathtaking. The team used a clear and helpful online platform that kept us organized, and they were especially responsive in the final month leading up to the big day.
Our guests had only great things to say about the venue. They found it comfortable, convenient, and beautifully arranged. For us, it matched the vibe and vision we wanted perfectly.
I highly recommend SKY Armory to anyone looking for a thoughtful, well-run, all-inclusive wedding venue. The experience was joyful, seamless, and deeply meaningful from start to finish. -

We got married at SKY Armory 10/19/24. We live in NYC so we wanted a venue that could do it all. SKY Armory made wedding planning so seamless even being out of town. Lisa and Angela are SUPERSTARS and made all our ideas and even last minute changes come to life. They considered every detail and as a bride, it was incredibly reassuring to have such a great team to work with. We trusted them from day one. The wedding coordinator Lisa was very helpful and organized and we always felt that all of our many details were in good hands. I highly recommend checking this venue out. Brick walls, tons of candles and hanging lights- a gorgeous venue on any of their 3 floors. -

Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience with our wedding reception at SKY Armory. My husband and I are not originally from the Syracuse area and both work full time so we were relieved to find a vendor that could do almost everything in house. Lisa was very helpful in making suggestions and making all of the magic happen. All we had to do was drop off our personal things (card box, photos, etc.) and then show up the day of! Our guests raved about the food, the atmosphere, and the accessibility of SKY Armory from their downtown hotels. Everything worked out perfectly! I also want to shout out one of their employees (I wish I knew her name) who was so attentive to me all night making sure I ate and had water and drinks. It was a wonderful experience. -

2020 has been a year and the ever changing restrictions was not an easy thing to navigate to plan a wedding. However, Sky Armory made it easy to plan and adjust things up until the day day of the wedding. Even before COVID, we were hit financially and they were so great helping us cut back and fitting the wedding into our budget. Unfortunately, our blue table cloths didn’t come in on time but it didn’t matter because the table was set beautifully with ivory. It was everything that we could have imagined! Definitely recommend! -

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with SKY Armory! We live in Boston, so it was important that our venue back home was as inclusive as possible and flexible with long-distance planning. We'd been to a wedding at SKY years prior, and loved the atmosphere. It ended up being the first and only venue we looked at. Rachael was our coordinator, and she was so, so helpful with planning and day-of. I always felt I could rely on and trust her! The same goes for Lindsey, their floral & decor designer. She is wildly talented and crafted the most gorgeous environment that worked with our vision and still exceeded our dreams. And the food is excellent! After going to a tasting event, we had our menu meetings over phone call (yay flexibility!) and had really positive experiences working with their chefs. We particularly had a lot of fun picking out the passed hors d'oeuvres because that was where we really got to showcase "us" even more. Overall, we had such a beautiful experience! Our guests did, too. We cannot thank ALL of the staff at SKY enough for how lovely and seamless the evening was! -

I got married at SKY Armory on 11.23.19. We had a small wedding with about 60 guests, and I was worried the wedding would feel too small, but sky was able to make the size fit perfectly with the unique styled we they arranged the room to fit our needs. This vendor is all in one! They do the catering, including dessert and cake, the decor, including flowers, and the bar services. They did the set up and break down and even had out gifts and leftover cake delivered to our hotel room after. We have an event coordinator, Rachael, who was amazing! She answered all of our questions right ways and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. This was especially helpful with the ceremony, and planning the timeframe of the reception. It really was a stress free planning process thanks to Rachael and the team at SKY, which was a main reason for picking this venue, that and the location and the unique loft/industrial style. Lindsey does the decor and florals and they were amazing, they fit well with out theme, late fall time wedding and the industrial almost rustic feel of the venue. I've had so many compliments about how different the venue was, and how neat the space was. Also we received a lot of compliments on the food, which was spectacular. It was nice for our older guests, as the parking garage is attached and the wedding was all indoors and in the same location. The wedding felt very upscale and classy, yet still relaxed. It was honestly the best day of my life, and I cannot thank SKY and Rachael enough. I can't recommend the venue enough either. We are going back for the New Years Eve party and can't wait! -

This venue and its employees are amazing. My friends and I had a fabulous time drinking, dancing, and eating. The management was extremely responsive when I left my phone at the venue. On a Sunday, the manager went to the closed venue and got my phone ASAP! I would recommend this venue to any bride! -

Rachael and the entire SKY team made our wedding an absolute dream come true. I never thought I’d be the cliche bride saying “It was that best day of our lives”, but it truly was just that. We were a little nervous living 4 hours away and planning a wedding (thinking we had no idea what we were doing), but she made everything so simple and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions - and we (I) had A LOT. After all of the planning and our day finally arrived, we knew we were in good hands. Rachael would check in on us to make sure we were good with food, drinks, etc. and never overbearing or pushy in any way.
Many guests commented on how good the food/desserts were and that it was a nice change from your typical “banquet hall” wedding. Our guests kept the bar busy, but they were staffed well and there were minimal lines all night, including cocktail hour. Major props to Jae and Anne and staff!
Lindsey’s in-house floral designs for the centerpieces were perfection! She used my Pinterest boards and somehow managed to combine all my favorites together into something beautiful. Due to “inclement weather” and a “rainy Spring”, my florist (bouquets only) had claimed the day before our wedding that the anemones I had been dreaming of were not usable. After telling Lindsey this, she was so sweet and gave me some to bring back to my florist!
I could go on and on about our perfect night and do not have any complaints from our start-to-finish experience with SKY. Everyone we worked with (mostly Rachael, Lindsey, Nicole) had fun and fresh ideas and we really valued their knowledge and expertise, especially in a lot of the design elements. Wish we could do it all over again and cannot wait for the upcoming wedding we will be attending next year!! -

We fell in love with Sky Armory the moment we saw pictures online, but once we walked through the doors and toured the building, met with Amy and Rachael, we really knew it was everything we wanted in our wedding venue. The staff is professional, helpful, detail oriented and make you feel like you’re the only couple they’re working with, when you know they have so much on their plates. Our event planner Rachael answered every question I had, thought of things that I would have never thought of and always provided quick feedback on anything I needed. She was with us the entire day and stayed until the very end overseeing everything and knew exactly what we wanted and that it went off without a hitch. She even delivered our cake, cards/ gifts and my veil to our hotel room so it was all there when we arrived back late they evening! Our wedding guests were blown away by the dinner service and the precise timing and efficiency as our plated dinner meals came out for over 200 people!!
It’s a magical venue with beautiful twinkle lights, exposed brick with classy charm. I can’t say enough good things about our entire experience with Sky for the 15 months we worked with them in our wedding planning process. You will not be disappointed. Check them out today! Wonderful place, even more wonderful people to work with! THANK YOU SKY!!! -

Two of my best friends tied the knot this past weekend (06.01) at Sky and I(bridesmaid) felt the need to write a review to let not only Sky's owners/staff, but people considering Sky for their own wedding/event venue, how impressed and pleased I was with everything! The event staff were pleasant, professional and polite!
Rachael, Sky's onsite event planner/coordinator, was incredible! Having an event planner/coordinator that works for and is paid by the venue is a HUGE bonus in my opinion. (As someone who recently planned my own wedding, I had to hire a separate event planner/coordinator and make sure she was familiar with my venue was an extra step that took more time and money. I would've loved to have a planner/coordinator exclusive to the venue.) She went above and beyond to help make Katrina(bride) and Miles' (groom) vision come to life! Wedding planning and the events themselves can be (and usually are) extremely stressful with many contributing factors– Money, time invested with planning, unexpected curveballs like the wrong color bridesmaid dress, and occasionally, difficult family members. Rachael did everything in her power to make sure all questions and concerns were addressed/handled from day one of booking the venue to the very last minute with the awesome sparkler exit!
Food tasted amazing! The cocktail hour was great, they had a variety of hors d’oeuvres that were passed by staff and a beautifully set charcuterie table! If I tried one of each I wouldn't have had enough room for dinner and dessert! Dinner was served hot and looked great too! I had their filet mignon and loved it! Filet can sometimes get overcooked out of fear it won't be cooked enough, but it was perfect! The dessert truly made me drool.. the crème brûlée was to die for and I wasn't the only guest who thought so, as the staff had to replenish it multiple times! I had seconds and thirds! :-)
I could go on and on about all the amazing things Sky Armory and their staff have to offer to make anyone's wedding/event amazing! I can only recommend that you reach out to Sky and let them show you themselves!

Our winter wedding was made magical by the crew at SKY Armory. The whole process was fun, exciting, and EASY! Katie (our coordinator) was timely, had incredible advice, and as impossible as this may seem -- made us feel RELAXED while planning our wedding. The food was to die for, and all of our guests are still raving about it - three months later. When you see the venue, keep and open mind because they can truly decorate it to match anything you have in your minds eye. We couldn't have found a more perfect venue to get married (the first floor) and have our reception (the second floor) -- not to mention it is so convenient for guest since there are multiple hotels in walking distance as well as nightlife for the after-party. Hurry up and book your date! You won't regret it!!! -

I recently had my wedding at SKY Armory on October 27, 2018 and it was a dream come true! Everything I could’ve ever imagined was made possible by the team who works at SKY. Katie was our wedding planner and she made everything so simple! The day couldn’t have happened without her or the rest of the amazing team who works there. Communication was so easy via their online portal and in person meetings. The food, drinks and desserts were all delicious, the photo booth was so much fun, and the decorations were exactly what we pictured! All the planning leading up to the wedding was also a breeze! The day of went so smoothly thanks to Katie and our event coordinator. I was so nervous but having Katie there making sure things went smoothly was a comfort. Samantha Sent on 03/31/2018SKY Armory was the best choice I could have made for my wedding venue! From the moment I went on a tour of the venue I knew I had to book it and man am I glad I did. They set up meetings throughout the planning process that are very helpful and that helped me plan things I didn’t even know I had to. My event planner was Katie and she was AMAZING! Every question I had she answered right away and followed through with everything she said. The day of the wedding she was there for anything we needed and she also brought my husband and I appetizers and drinks throughout the night. If she didn’t I don’t know that we would have even been able to try any of them. She also boxed my dinner up and brought it and all the gifts to our hotel room at the Jefferson Clinton Hotel. I was so appreciative and grateful after the wedding when we were surprised to have it all there for us. Another thing is that my room layout was to a T exactly what we talked about and that they mapped out for me. It was unbelievable how perfect it was. Also the decorations were stunning, all of my guests were blown away. My guest also keep raving about how wonderful all of the food and drinks were! All in all you have to book your wedding/event with SKY and if you do trust me you will not be disappointed. They are by far the most professional people to work with! -

Clarissa Sent on 07/26/2017We had our wedding at SKY Armory, and couldn't have been happier with the choice. SKY did such a great job accommodating our requests and made the night absolutely amazing. With SKY, you receive a complete team of professionals that will make planning less stressful. Chelsea, our event planner, worked with us through the entire process and eased our worries anytime we began to panic. Jennifer helped with the design process and did a great job of letting us know what decisions would work and what wouldn't. Chef Chris is a master at creating the most delicious food combinations that will leave you and your guests wanting more. Chef Anne brought my wedding cupcake tower to life and made it so elegant we hesitated to cut the cake! Janet created our signature drinks which were a huge hit, I personally loved my ‘I Do’ creation. We received so many compliments about the decorations, especially the signage created by Corey who will provide beautiful calligraphy on mirrors! Overall, our guests really enjoyed the modern atmosphere and were impressed by the quickness of how dinner was served, no one was kept waiting. SKY Armory is a company that truly cares. Even the president, Nicole Samolis, would stop by during our meetings and on our wedding day to check in with us. Our wedding was certainly a night to remember and SKY was a huge reason why. So, if you want your wedding day to be perfect, go with SKY! -

Wedding of our dreams
My husband and I had our wedding at SKY Armory on March 4, 2023 and it was everything we could have wanted! Lisa was our coordinator and made the entire planning process easy and organized. We had multiple meetings for planning, including a Vision meeting, Details, Tasting, and Final meeting where we were able to organize all the details, including seeing "mock" tables, decor, etc. The day of our wedding, everything went exactly as we could have hoped for! The food and drinks were top notch and delicious, the decor looked stunning, details were arranged perfectly, and our vision truly came to life. We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding at SKY, and our guests continue to tell us what an amazing night they had! -

We heard of Sky Armory from our friends sister getting married there years before. Then we moved to Massachusetts and realized we had to get married there. From our first look (awesome Harry Potter wedding theme), food tasting, and our design meetings we knew we made the right decision! Nicole, CJ, and Lindsey were a phenomenal team who brought our low-key whiskey lounge wedding to fruition with amazing detail and class. All our closest friends and family remarked on the food, quality of service, and how beautiful our venue was! Couldn't of dreamed of a better venue! -

Chelsea was available to answer ALL of our silly questions and keep us on track. Sky Armory and Chelsea took the stress out of wedding planning. Also, shout out to the chef - you my friend, are phenomenal!
When our big day finally arrived, everything was PERFECT. Chelsea and her team treated us like kings and we had the best experience imaginable. I'd do it all over again! -

Great place to customize your wedding! SKY was an amazing choice for what we needed in our wedding day. They provided us with options for vendors and were able to offer many ideas as to how we can create an atmosphere tailored to us. Lisa is simply amazing! Experience and personable. Answered so many questions for me and ensured my husband and I got what we wanted for our day. The food was great - especially desserts! Space is just what you need to have a no hassle wedding. Personalized drinks. Many different decor themes and colors to choose from. Helped us flow through our day which will ease any brides anxiety. They even made a special to go mean for my father who wasn’t able to stay for the reception. If you want a place that is customizable, convenient to many places to stays and a wonderful event coordinator then SKY is great choice! Thank you! -

Alison Sent on 02/03/2015Sky Armory was the ONLY place I could have imagined our NYE wedding. Their metropolitan loft-feel space is just so cool, and their ability to turn it into everything we wanted was amazing. I first started working with the Sky staff when the building was under construction, so I started to panic and went elsewhere for things like flowers. In retrospect (even though I LOVED my florist and her bouquets) I would have gone through Sky's florist so that they were used more cohesively. We spent a LOT on the flowers and they were used to walk down the aisle and then sat in the dressing room the rest of the night. We were told that going through other vendors is fine, but just leave it to Sky's professionals. The little touches were what wowed me the most. There was one staff member obviously assigned to me who made sure that I was happy the entire night (I was). She brought me food, drinks, and even my new husband (thanks Katie!!!). And the food!!! This is not your typical "wedding food," this is gourmet and DELICIOUS. We had a few guests request different kinds of alcohol and it was at the bar within minutes. I can't begin to thank Sky for giving us and our family and friends such an amazing night. This is the best of the best. -

When booking Sky Armory we fell in love with the space. We booked the Ceramony room, it was beautiful and Nicole who greated us was very nice and professional. At the time Nicole said no DJ was needed the acoustics were good for talking and the 3 songs we wanted played the staff member who worked there would hit. We also went over parking $5 a person the lot was to the left of the building again simple. We met once with a wedding planner we went over how many guests, our family’s, bridal party and all the vendors, what the room should look like- once seemed like enough because we were only doing the ceramony. Fast forward to rehersal dinner night…
We find out at 5pm the night before the garage was closed and Lisa who answered the phone was very rude stating it’s been closed for a while… after we already had told all our guests where to park. (We should have known the lot was closed was the response.) So 5pm the night before my wedding I now need to carry everything across streets that I need for my ceramony- signs, decor, flowers… ect. Oh and now I need to call everyone who is meeting me here and all my guests (the night before my wedding). The room for the rehersal was not even close to being set up. I walk in and the wedding planner who I’ve never met before is asking for the names of my parents, wedding party and vendors…Thank goodness I had my own wedding planner. We trained the one wedding planner in the 3 songs I needed played and she ended up not showing up Saturday morning. . All in all I’m very disappointed in the amount of money I spent here.
