Planning a wedding is stressful under any circumstances, but planning one in Los Angeles while living in New York could have easily felt overwhelming. From the very beginning, Monica made us feel completely supported, heard, and taken care of.

Right away, her communication stood out. No matter how small or detailed our questions were about logistics, timing, or venue options, Monica was always there with thoughtful, clear answers. Her responsiveness gave us so much peace of mind while planning from across the country.

What truly showed us how special Monica is was how she handled unexpected challenges. When the California fires disrupted our tasting plans, she didn’t just adjust, she went above and beyond. Monica worked around our travel schedule, coordinated a private tasting, and made sure we were still able to experience and finalize our menu in person. In a moment that could have been incredibly disappointing and stressful, she made us feel prioritized and genuinely cared for.

Throughout the entire process, Monica consistently shared her experience and insight in a way that never felt generic. She offered thoughtful feedback from past events and helped us personalize our wedding so it truly felt like us. She paid attention to every detail and treated our wedding as if it were just as important to her as it was to us.

On the wedding day. even with last-minute pressures, Monica stepped in calmly and confidently, handling everything behind the scenes so we could simply be present and enjoy the moment. She did far more than what you would ever expect from a venue coordinator.

We also want to highlight how exceptional the entire Skirball team was. From the waiters and waitresses to the bartenders, food logistics, and coordination staff, everyone was professional, attentive, and seamless throughout the night. Daryl and the full back-of-house team did a phenomenal job ensuring everything ran smoothly, and our guests felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish.

The Skirball itself was stunning. Having our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors with the reception indoors was perfect. The food was incredible (the sushi was a huge hit), and Monica even helped us bring our caviar bar vision to life which is something our guests are still talking about.

At the end of the day, weddings are about how you feel and Monica and the entire Skirball team made us feel supported, understood, and truly celebrated. The entire event was joyful, seamless, and so much fun, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

We are endlessly grateful to Monica and the Skirball Cultural Center for creating a day we will remember forever. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

We got married about three months ago and we still have family and friends tell us how much they loved the Skirball! Monica was amazing to work with. She was attentive, supportive and knows everything there is to know about having a wedding at Skirball. Monica was phenomenal, along with the entire staff. Everyone was professional, nice and so fun to work with with. I could not recommend this venue more for your wedding or special event!

The Skirball as a venue was extraordinary, only being outdone by the service of their Wedding Event Team.
The site is beautiful, with excellent options for the ceremony, reception, afterparty, and lots of photos. Afterparty was outdoors and went until 1am since there wasn't a noise ordinance.
The flowers and trees around the site are an excellent backdrop for the occasion, as are the very stately buildings.
I appreciated that the Ahmanson Ballroom was not a standard square ballroom, but a semicircle with lots of windows outside.
Taper courtyard was a magical setting for the ceremony, with a gorgeous hillside as the backdrop.
My wife and I had a long planning process, and the Skirball Team was happily along for the ride the entire way. Monica Reyes was a consummate professional. She was cheerfully responsive to my constant barrage of questions. And she was full of useful guidance whenever I asked. It was particularly clear during the food-tasting event just how much a natural Monica is in this role. She stood at the podium infront of a room of 200 people and provided clear instructions and plenty of levity. I'm incredibly grateful to Monica for the peace of mind and assistance she provided my wife and me throughout the process.
The food was excellent, and the options were flexible. We mixed-and-matched sides with entrees, and got a little creative with the dessert offering. Skirball was very amenable to going off-script. And particularly noteworthy, they're incredibly good with allergies. They're very organized and accommodating to ensure all guests have an excellent meal, and you're not stuck offering a sad meal to guests with especially prohibitive dietary restrictions. I was impressed.
I had originally heard of the Skirball on NPR, as a venue for fancy galas. When my wedding planner put Skirball on my list I figured they wouldn't deign to let a normal person like me host an event there. Not only was I wrong, it lived up to my impression as a place that can host classy affairs.
If Skirball fits your criteria and your budget, absolutely go for it. You will not be let down. And Monica will make sure of it.

We got married at Skirball in June 2025 and had the best experience working with this venue. Monica Reyes gave us our initial tour in February of 2024 and was so friendly. She sold on us the space as our venue for our wedding. We worked with Monica closely over that year to plan our wedding, and she was so great to work with. She was incredibly organized, thoughtful, and supportive as we worked through all of the logistics of our wedding day. Our actual wedding day was perfect, and we know a lot of that had to do with the team behind Skirball. Everyone was amazing, from the bartenders to the waitstaff to the chefs working in the kitchen. Thank you, Skirball, for everything you did to make our wedding amazing!

Skirball was a great place to have our wedding! The Taper Courtyard was such a unique and picturesque ceremony space with the lily pond and the Santa Monica Mountains in the background. There were lots of other beautiful areas to take photos. One of the things we appreciated most about Skirball was how streamlined everything was. They provided pretty much everything we needed: catering and bar, tables and chairs, dance floor, and even smaller items like easels and table signs - so we didn’t have to deal with outside rentals which was very convenient. The menu was AMAZING, with a lot of options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Our guests particularly enjoyed the sushi bar during cocktail hour and the dessert buffet at the end of the night, and everything else was also excellent. Our on-site coordinator, Monica Reyes, was so great to work with. She was responsive and made sure to address any questions or requests we had throughout the process. We are so happy we chose Skirball! It was a smooth planning experience and the event turned out even better than we could have imagined.

We had our wedding here in February 2025. Our situation was a bit unique as we were having a Hindu wedding ceremony and an American reception. The Skirball Center (Monica) worked with us through it all to help make sure our needs were met. The service staff at the reception were beyond great and many of our guests commented on how friendly and fun they were. Our guests commented on what a beautiful and unique location it was and about how great the food tasted. We could not be happier!

My husband and I had a clear vision for our wedding: an outdoor ceremony surrounded by nature, followed by an elegant indoor reception. After scouting several venues, it was clear that Skirball was the one!

The venue itself is breathtaking – a perfect blend of lush greenery, natural beauty, and refined elegance. The Taper Courtyard, with its stunning backdrop of the mountain and lily pond, is a picture-perfect setting for a peaceful and intimate outdoor ceremony. The Ahmanson Ballroom was equally impressive. Its all-glass design allowed us to have a sophisticated indoor reception with the most gorgeous view of the green mountain and trees in the distance. Our family and friends were blown away by how beautiful our wedding day was!

We are forever grateful to the staff who made everything so seamless. Darrel was a fantastic guide throughout the planning process, ensuring that everything was on track and answering all my questions with patience and care. Monica was an absolute gem – she helped me finalize visual details that I was unsure about, and her expertise was invaluable.

The food was exceptional – our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was! The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the event.

One of the most valued moments of our big day was Darrel checking in on me, making sure I was doing okay and letting me know everything was going smoothly. This helped me come to my reality and truly absorbed the moments happening before my eyes. If everyone comes up to you telling you how beautiful and perfect your venue was, you know it can't get any better than Skirball! Skirball was an absolute dream location as a wedding venue. The location, scenery, and architecture are all so beautiful and create a special romantic and elegant vibe. The bridal/groom suites, restrooms, event rooms, and common areas were all immaculately clean and so easy to get to. Also, shoutout to the BEST EVENT SPECIALIST MONICA REYES. She made this process so seamless, and her excitement for us really made planning a lot easier because planning a wedding ain't easy :) She was always super responsive and helped in whatever way she could. Not only her, guests complimented on the service of ALL the venue staff. Lastly, the food is amazing! We received so many compliments on the hors d'oeuvres and dinner course, which I can't say the same for all wedding venues. All in all, Skirball checked all our boxes and more than exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much Skirball for giving us our dream wedding location :)

The team at the Skirball was wonderful to work with and the venue was incredible to get married at! Guests LOVED the terrace and accommodations and thought the food was great!! The venue was flexible and accommodating and Monica went above and beyond to help us make the day special.

We could not have been happier with Skirball for our wedding! The venue is beautiful and everyone who works there is very kind and professional. We researched several wedding venues in Los Angeles, and it quickly became clear that the Skirball was the best venue in terms of value, flexibility, and resources—not to mention, the beautiful grounds! Spent a lot of time vetting venues and, initially, Skirball seemed like really strong value in terms of bang for your buck relative to other venues we saw in that Skirball presents a beautiful venue (we did Ceremony at Taper and Reception at Ahmanson), a great location (easy to get to for anyone in LA), less "upcharges" like free parking and convenience in that catering/bar are included in their services.

Our Skirball staff members (headed by Lilian) were amazing and made the night one which we found minimally stressful and maximally fun! Our guests really enjoyed the food there and our cameramen really enjoyed all the beautiful sites on the campus.

Importantly, I am a CFO and budgets never come in close to what you initially estimate on a project. Just paid and the final invoice which was within $200 of the initial quote Lilian provided us despite a few changes we made, so really strong planning skills on their end which help prevent unanticipated surprises.

Skirball is so perfect! The venue itself is beautiful so you don’t need to add much to it. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at three different locations and our guests fell in love with it just as we did. It is conveniently located right off the freeway. The parking area isn’t the typical chaotic Los Angeles situation. It’s safe and spacious. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout the entire planning stage and took care of us. Lilian Lin was our event coordinator and to say she’s the best is a complete understatement! We never had a problem communicating with her. She was extremely responsive and her knowledge of the venue and event planning made our wedding day breeze! I’m so happy we chose Skirball for one of the most important days of our lives! 10/10 recommend!

All my guests raved about the venue and the food. It was gorgeous and perfect out in the Taper Courtyard on the summer evening.

The Skirball Center was our dream wedding venue, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From our very first venue tour, we immediately knew it was the place for us. The grounds are stunning and have the perfect museum-meets-greenery feeling (it's also centrally located in LA and has free parking!!). We were happy to support a venue whose mission is so in-line with our values.

The team at the Skirball is the best in the business. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and our venue coordinator, Susie, was responsive and communicative throughout our entire 1.5 year planning process. She made our dreams come true! Susie also had fantastic preferred vendors that helped our planning process immensely.

We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding, and we can't wait to visit the Skirball exhibits regularly to go back to where we got married!

We were extremely happy with our decision to have our wedding at the Skirball Cultural Center. Quite honestly, everything went as well as we ever would have expected. Some highlights include:

Jenny, our venue coordinator, was absolutely fantastic and of the highest order. She was one of the nicest, most patient, most understanding people we have really ever encountered. She had all of the answers to all of our, oftentimes dumb, questions. She was instrumental on keeping us on track for what felt like every detail. She was unbelievably punctual and responsive. Our entire experience was guided by the excellence that Jenny provided and I cannot overstate how much of a positive impact she made for us.

The venue itself is beautiful. We had our wedding and reception in the Taper Courtyard in front of the reflection pond. Everybody complimented us on how pretty everything was when it came together. We had string lights overhead with lights illuminating the pillars and walls. The entire event was outside, something that was especially important to us in the setting of COVID; everybody was comfortable. There are lots of places for great wedding pictures on the campus.

The food was great. Although we didn't get too much of a chance to eat, the amount that we did was delicious. We had expected as much from the tasting event that was held for us after we booked. Guests actively reached out saying the food was good. Not only "good for wedding food" good--actually good.

Overall, we would highly recommend the SCC and would absolutely book the SCC again.

The Skirball was absolutely perfect. When we went for a walk through, I knew instantly it was where I wanted to get married. The setup was stunning, the weather was perfect and the food was delicious. I can honestly say I had my dream wedding at the Skirball.

This venue is stunning. The pictures really show you what you’ll get. The staff wa damaging too.

Excellent, beautiful, and good-value venue. They were very accommodating to our special requests (like sourcing particular beers, for example), responsive, and good at working with our whole family. We appreciated having their excellent caterer, tables/chairs and other set-up crew all in house-- made planning our wedding just a little bit simpler. We also feel aligned with the Skirball Cultural Center's mission to promote understanding and tolerance for Jewish life in America and to support the principles of American democracy. We had such a wonderful time at our wedding and would absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend the Skirball!

We had our wedding at the Skirball Cultural Center for 210 people over Memorial Day Weekend this year and it was a total success. Biggest thanks to Darrel De Vera for being so accommodating, professional, and helpful during the planning process. We chose to have our ceremony at the Taper Courtyard, cocktail hour at the Guerin Pavilion, and reception in the Ahmanson Ballroom with the beautiful ceiling. We've only seen previews of our wedding pictures but anticipate that they will turn out beautifully - the venue is so picturesque! The Skirball does not allow outside catering (except for the cake) but that was not at all an issue because the food at the Skirball is fantastic -- our guests LOVED the tuna tartare in sesame cones and lamb chops for our hors d'oeuvres, and the beef short rib entree was so tender. The house white and red wine were actually really good as well! During the wedding the table service was fantastic; our guests were all very pleased. Only constructive criticism I would have is that because there was a bar mitzvah happening the same night, they required the bartenders to card our guests... so one of my bridesmaids was carded at least 3 times (by the same bartender!) before we put our foot down and insisted that he stop asking for her ID.

I couldn't be happier that I got married here. It's a classically beautiful LA venue and all our guests from the east coast were blown away by how amazing it was too. Susie was a fantastic coordinator to work with and made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it and we didn't need to worry on the wedding day. The food is great too! Since everything is included there, you get a lot for your money. It was perfect for our LA/NYC Jewish wedding.

I had the most wonderful wedding here on 3/13/16. I had a lot of chinese guest that did not like american food. But, the food was so delicious that they could not stop going back to the buffet line. Our guest thought the venue was absolutely breath taking and it was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding. Our Skirball Venue coordinator, Susie Remo was a gem. It made working with Skirball, so easy and delightful and made our dream wedding come true.

Hands down, there is no better place to have a wedding in LA than at the Skirball. The setting and scenery are beautiful, it has a museum-like quality surrounded by the Santa Monica mountains. There are few places where the guests can enjoy four different settings (cocktail reception, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) all at the same address. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue. Also - a GREAT place for photos - our photographers were drooling over all of the great photo opportunities. The food was fantastic. We worked with Darrel who was always available, extremely helpful, and helped us put together a magical evening. Also, the price cannot be beat for all that you get at this place. I cannot say enough about the Skirball - our night was absolutely perfect.

I loved the Skirball Center!! It was a perfect venue for our wedding! My husband and I knew this would be the place the second we walked onto the property. At first I was concerned about in house catering, BUT the night was did our food tasting I was blown away - its all delicious! The waiters and bar tenders were great the night of our wedding and made sure everyone was taken care of! They even went out of their way to find my pregnant friend a bottle of Martinelli's so she could be part of the champagne toast! Our guests had a great time and so did we!

The skirball was absolutely amazing! We seriously could not have imagined a more perfect wedding at any other location. The staff was absolutely perfect, the catering and food was delicious. Our guests were blown away at how beautiful the entire space was from our outside ceremony in taper courtyard, to the great cocktail hour outside the ahmanson ballroom, and the breathtaking reception in the ahmanson ballroom. Big thanks to our site coordinator Darrel DeVera who took care of us! Very accommodating, and helpful. They are they to help make any vision come to life and it was picture perfect!

We chose the Skirball Center as our wedding venue, and could not have been more happy with every last detail. We worked with Lainy, who from the time we first met with her (a year and a half before the wedding date!) until the day of was so sweet. She took care of everything, checked in with me about every detail, and was very easy to work with. The venue itself was GORGEOUS. From the Taper Courtyard where the ceremony was held, to the Ahmanson Ballroom where we had the reception, people could not stop commenting about how elegant and grand the venue was. It was everything I could have wanted for my wedding (and I know tit is gong to photograph beautifully for our pictures!!)

I could not be happier that I chose the Skirball Cultural Center for my wedding! It proved to be the ultimate venue from the beautiful grounds, amazing food & drink and impeccable service that we received from Elisa and every single Skirball employee. The modern, clean grounds serve as a blank canvas for brides to create their ultimate dream wedding! One of the most important things in the whole wedding process, was the quality of the food we served - I wanted to make sure that our wedding guests enjoyed a delicious, quality meal - And boy, did they ever!!! From the tuna tartar, to the lamb shank to the fish and short ribs - all guests raved about the food!!!

Elisa was our point of contact throughout the wedding planning process and she was completely amazing!!! She was always there to address questions and concerns, and did so in the most warm, positive and friendly manner. She had so many great ideas, and made sure that whatever spontaneous planning idea I had came to life! She is a truly wonderful person to work with!!!

We LOVED having our wedding at the Skirball Cultural Center. It was a perfect venue for us. We didn't want to have our wedding at a church or a hotel. We wanted something more simple and modern. So if that's what you are looking for, contact them!

Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and how great the food tasted. I worked with Darrel and he was so extremely helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. I knew I had nothing to worry about. He always responded to my emails quickly (even on weekends and while on vacation). Who does that??? That's how great he is!

All 5 stars are fully deserved. The venue was obviously beautiful but it was Elisa K. who really brought us in and gave us the comfort and trust that we needed, especially after we had left another venue because we had become frustrated with their service. Elisa really brought things together, and she understood the vision for our wedding even when our wedding planner didn't. Thank you -- the wedding was better than we ever could have imagined.

I had a great experience dealing with our events coordinator Darrel De Vera. He was very honest, prompt, and educated. He gave us all the answers and did not beat around the bush like some vendors so. The food choices were awesome, the communication was great, and the whole experience was memorable. When you are getting married, the last thing you want to think of is a planning hick up. I highly recommend the skirball cultural center for any type of wedding. The architectural designs are beautiful and there are no neighbors so you can be as loud as you want! We had the venue until 12 am.

It's been a month and a few days since my wife and my wedding and I've really only had time recently to finally post my review.

The Skirball Center is absolutely one of the best venues to host an event; bar none. The place itself is gorgeous, architecture-wise, design wise, infrastructure-wise, the wait and serving staff are excellent and very easy to work with, and the event directors go above and beyond to make sure you have a spectacular event.

A little background on me; because how can I say that our wedding wouldn't have been as awesome as it was any where else considering I would only get married once? Well, I've been to well over 40, maybe even 50 weddings in the past 10 years and I even have a side-business of being event Emcee, so I have seen more than my share, in fact, a lot of OTHER peoples' shares, of seeing the various venues and events out there. Skirball is absolutely still one of the tops on my list.

Our wedding reception couldn't have gone off more smoothly with the help of Darrel and his staff. Each and every step of the way, they kept us updated and

Darrel even went an extra step to let us know about road closures in the area near our event date, which really helped us inform our guests. Some of our guests really said that they had so much fun and the place was just beautiful; granted, that all plays into the preparation and behind the scenes work you put in, but even with minimal work and preparation, this place is just fantastic.

They were able to refer us and help us book our guest accommodations nearby (we chose the Hotel Angeleno), and even helped us book transpo for our guests back to the hotel at the end of the evening.

We loved every second of our day and the Skirball Center really helped make it as perfect and memorable as it could possibly be.

Only drawback? you'd wish there were guest rooms on the facility itself, you don't want to leave!

We absolutely loved this venue, as did our guests. The on-site coordinator was terrific and very accomodating. We feel in love with the reception room, and it was great to be able to have an outdoor ceremony and a totally different look/feel for the reception. The best part about the room is the high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. This is not like every other venue, and nothing like just another average hotel ballroom. The costs were very reasonable. This was the most affordable place in LA to have a kosher wedding.

We cannot say enough good things about this venue and their catering. The site is beautiful and varied. A close friend of mine was married there the same summer and our wedding venues were completely different- we had different areas for our ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions- and every area was lovely. The food was EXCELLENT- people were talking about after. The Mediterranean table that was set up during cocktails was gorgeous and delicious. The staff was professional, responsive and flexible. Everything that we asked for was granted. For example, the regular "bride's room" had no windows and was a bit small, so I asked for an additional space to get ready where we could spread out more and not feel boxed in since we would be there all day... they let us use a large conference room AND the bride's room with no extra charge. That is only one example of how great they were to work with.

The Skirball Cultural Center was such a beautiful place for our wedding. I really wanted a beach wedding, but those venues were just way too expensive. There are a few places you can have your ceremony or reception, and we chose the Taper Courtyard since we only had 86 guests. It has a beautiful pond/pool in the background as well as some of the Santa Monica hills. It was beautifully lit up when the sun went down and just looked exactly as I dreamed. Darrel was great to work with and really helped make the planning process easy. We looked at 8-10 places and for all that you get, along with the quality of service and food, it seemed almost a steal!

We just had our wedding there this past May, and worked with Elisa Kotin. She was an absolute pleasure to work with-- very organized, quick response times, accommodating, and just an overall easygoing person. Went to the place several times to show my MOH, my fiance (now husband), my mom and aunt, and then my wedding coordinator. Each time she was very helpful and informative. She even set up a private tasting for me since my [then] fiance had to fly into town for it. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was on top of things!

Went through several versions of the Banquet Event Order and this is SO SO important to make sure you read every little detail. There were some unclear issues with the guest sign-in table... but it's not a big deal in the whole scheme of things that day.

Anyway, totally recommend the place if it is within your budget, and work with Elisa-- she is great! :)

The Skirball Cultural Center is one of the most beautiful places I've seen for hosting events. The setup at the Taper Courtyard and Ahmanson Ballroom were perfect! Working with Darrel was also great. He was very fast to respond to questions, and helped us with everything we needed. He was very nice and patient (for someone who likes to ask a lot of questions). We were happy overall with the quality of service, and the presentation of the place. All our guests loved it!

I found this venue after typing in budget friendly venue options. Now hear me out… This is an all inclusive space and if you have a budget, I assure you that Monica will help you stick to that. When we had our very first meeting and I received my quote I told her that this is where I wanted to stay And we made it happen.
The venue does not need much as it is beautiful on its own. We had the entire venue for the entire day so that allowed us to not have to rush and so I think that that is an option to explore if that is within your budget.
Everything was what I imagined it to be! The only hiccup was the lighting was not what I requested, but in the big scheme of things I’m not going to dwell on that. Monica, was our person for the venue. She is extremely efficient and a pleasure to work with. My wedding was perfect!

We hosted our dream wedding at the Skirball!

We booked 16 months ahead - we knew this was going to be our venue. From beginning to end, Susie Remo was amazing. The absolute sweetest. She always made time for even the smallest question from me. She feels like part of out family now!

I was nervous about what the venue would look like, but we were blown away! The staff was amazing, the bartenders, the servers, the workers. The food was AMAZING. We did New York Steak and Chicken Marsala. Everyone that day was just so great. We have gotten endless compliments.

I recommend the Skirball to couples who are looking for a local wedding. There aren't too many venues in LA - this is a hidden gem.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception in the Taper Courtyard with the Reflection Pond as the backdrop and it was magical. The most gorgeous setting made even more beautiful by Coastal Event Lighting (thank you Michael!) and our beautiful flowers (Flowers by Lori). Huge shout out to our Skirball coordinator, Monica, who was went above and beyond in every way. She was always responsive and had a positive "yes, we can" outlook. Monica provided valuable insights, and made sure our vision was reflected in our wedding and was beyond patient with our many questions and emails. Monica is also amazingly organized and kept us moving forward at a realistic clip. We are forever grateful to her and her positive energy!! The food was also outstanding and everyone that worked our wedding was professional and accommodating. This venue, with Monica at your side, is definitely the right decision. Thank you Monica!

Skirball was an amazing Venue from not only the beauty of the courtyard and ballroom but the professionalism and spot on service from the Staff. We recommend this for anyone looking to have a memorable event!

A must have place for a wedding. The courtyard and staircase is beyond storybook. To be able to have a cermony, cocktail hour then a reception in 3 dfifferent areas but never leave one address was wonderful. The hors'd overs, cocktails were bountiful, and the meals were so delicious. The wait staff was wonderful and very accomodating and Elisa was wonderful to work with. Thank you everyone.

The Skirball Center is a beautiful, special, and peaceful venue. It is tucked away in the Santa Monica Mtns and the venue is entirely yours for the event. This allows for flexibility in amplified music and hours for your event. The catering is included, and all of our guests were very pleased with food. Lainey helped us with our event, and she was a pleasure to work with.

The Skirball was beautiful, patient, and more than I could have dreamed. They managed to scramble everything together for me the way I wanted regardless of the weather hiccup during preparations. I appreciated Darrel's constant communication with both myself and other vendors to ensure that things went as well I they could...and it turned out even better than I could have hoped! For the drama, the look, and the freedom to bend a venue to how you want it to, Skirball was awesome. Thank you all!

I would highly recommend the Skirball Cultural Center for wedding events. Though they are not particularly cheap, they provide one of the better prices you will find in Los Angeles. Additionally, almost everything is provided in-house, including catering, sound systems, lighting, tables, linens, chairs, the stage, and the dance floor. They do allow outside vendors, but they have some strict rules and they leverage a few hefty fees. Despite that fact, working with the wedding coordinator Lainy was wonderful. She was very responsive, informative, and helpful throughout the entire process. Overall, the Skirball was an amazing location for our wedding.

Skirball provided a beautiful ceremony and reception location. The staff were generally professional and helpful--though a mystery remains as to what happened to a few of my things that were left unattended after the ceremony. They were never found or returned to me.

Love this venue. while did not do my wedding here got to do other events.

The coordinator at this venue, Elisa , RUINED my entire wedding experience. None of my vendors (photographer, coordinator, DJ, band) enjoyed working with this venue, they were not flexible at all, and only charged us hidden fees. While the venue is very beautiful, looking back, I would definitely spend my money elsewhere if I had to do my wedding over again.

Please do not be fooled by this venue. Spare yourself much grief and agony by choosing a vendor that actually cares about you. It's a good thing all my other vendors were so great, to help mask the horrible experience we had to endure.
