Beyond Entertained!

Is it possible to have as much, if not more fun, a second time around? The answer is yes! We hired Skillmatic Entertainment SMB band to bring enthusiasm and entertainment to our annual gala for a second year in a row and man, they did not disappoint! They livened up the crowd beyond our expectations and fun was had by all. Reatha and the band have a magical way to get everyone on their feet or moving at their tables in the best way possible. Spending an evening with SMB is the best choice you could make!

So flexible, accommodating, and so much fun!

My mum had a FAB time at her surprise retirement party thanks to Reatha and her partner! She helped the guest get on the dance floor to have a good time! Thank you again!

Best Decision Ever for our Destination Wedding!

Reatha Cruz-Johnson was our DJ for our destination wedding in Mexico and it was HANDS DOWN the best decision we could've made! Reatha knew our vibe and was able to adapt to the audience as needed, and we had so many compliments from our guests!! We're so thankful that Reatha went above and beyond to coordinate directly with the venue regarding equipment needs and to make sure that the venue was on top of it (even with language barriers). We highly recommend Reatha and Skillzmatic Entertainment for any event!

Amazing Energy of SMB Band

We recently had the pleasure of having SMB Band at our annual Gala event. Not only did the band present themselves in the utmost respectable manner, but they made the event that much more enjoyable and fun with their liveliness! They got people on their feet, dancing the night away. They were willing and able to participate in all capacities we requested and went above and beyond any band we have used. The energy coming from every member of the band was palpable, which made for the best evening we could have asked for! We would highly recommend and hope to hire them in the future!

Fantastic Halloween teen dance

Excellent Band and DJ! Highly Recommend!

Reatha and her team where extremely professional and worked seamlessly with my other wedding vendors. Reatha was a joy to work with, very detail oriented, and the band and DJ were exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a band and/or DJ for their wedding or any other celebration. I cannot thank them enough, ALL of my guests raved about how much they loved the band and dj. They were able to get the guests out of their seats to dance all night! Highly recommend!

Look no further, the best DJ service is here!

We got married at the end of February and Reatha at Skillzmatic entertainment was our DJ and MC. We couldn't have asked for a better team to set the mood and the flow for the night. Leading up to the wedding we were always able to reach her to answer any questions or concerns we had. She set up a zoom meeting with us where we could go over the timeline from the beginning of the ceremony all the way until the grand exit. It made my wife and I feel a little more relaxed knowing everything was taken care of. As an MC she was incredible, interacting with guests and keeping the energy high throughout the night. I would highly recommend you go with Reatha and the Skillzmatic team for any event, especially a wedding!

Absolutely incredible!

I cannot begin to express how incredible Reatha made my entire wedding night. She is so professional but so down to earth at the same time. She was always there to take any requests and she kept my whole wedding on schedule. My husband and I were so beyond pleased with her as our DJ and even had compliments about her from our guests. You will not regret booking with her!

Dancing all night long!

We had so much fun dancing and the DJ was great at keeping the mood going and supplying us with energy through the perfect song choices. Highly recommended!

Awesome DJ!

The DJ was extremely friendly and developed a great mood for the wedding both leading up to and during the reception. She kept people dancing and has some decent tools for customizing your experience. She is definitely affordable and flexible to special requests. We hired the saxophonist for part of the night and he was excellent performing a special request for the groom. Would highly recommend Reatha and her team :)

Hire them!

Best DJ ever. She kept our wedding guest moving until the very end. My daughter and her new husband had a wonderful time. She was very funny, kept the music clean, and made sure that everyone had a great time. I would hire her again in a heartbeat. (I wish she could come to SC!!) She was very professional! She even topped off some champagne for a guest during a toast. I can not say enough great things about our DJ services. I can tell you that she was amazing and if we are ever in Orlando again and needed a DJ, I would hire her again. She gave the bride and groom a list of songs to select from prior to the event and she made sure to play them all. There was never a dull moment during our reception. AMAZING DJ!!

If you’re looking for a great DJ, look no further!

DJ Skillzmatic DJ’d helped make me and my husband’s wedding day something we’ll never forget! She’s extremely professional yet kept the music bumping and guests out of their seats. I appreciated the fact that she kept in contact from the time we booked her up until the day after the wedding. She also respected any requests we had pertaining to the music for our religious reasons. She was outstanding and I highly recommend her!

Reatha was the DJ for our wedding at the Crystal Ballroom and she was awesome. Kept the crowd moving, fun, and interactive. She played everything that we asked for. The price is very reasonable. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.

Fun All Night Long!

I was initially concerned about the music, transitions and layout since Reatha wouldn’t be present for the rehearsal (it was not a requirement). But she and her team showed up and showed out. From the music remixes, to hosting and the game we coordinated, we didn’t have to worry about one thing. She had constant communication with me and the venue to ensure this day was amazing.

Expectations exceeded

Reatha changed my mind about wedding DJs. I didn’t want one at first because I have control issues and it’s a lot to entrust. They set the whole tone for the wedding afterall. She was AMAZING. Not your typical car salesman barking at everyone to dance. She was elegant AND fun. She responds to emails IMMEDIATELY. Super flexible. Super affordable. She was literally the easiest thing about my wedding planning. Love.

Skillzmatic Entertainment team hosted our wedding as MC/DJ this past Saturday, April 7th. Words can't fully describe how amazing our experience was with these guys from start to finish.
Reatha was the most amusing person to work with! Our guests can’t say enough about her, they simply LOVED HER!! She kept everybody entertained and dancing all night. Reatha not only has that amazing personality which irradiates a positive energy and good vibes, but she is extremely professional and a joy to work with. Time management was also one of her talented skills; she stayed on top of our agenda all night and made sure everything worked out well for us. Wow! We hired Skillzmatic for our wedding this past weekend, and I have to say that I feel this was absolutely the best decision we made in terms of wedding vendors. I have to admit that I am fairly particular about music, and Reatha was so incredibly flexible and patient with me throughout the entire process. She allowed me to select all of the music played during cocktail hour, dinner service, and the reception. And she rocked it! I didn't give her a particular order for a lot of the music, but once the reception started, she played everything in a way that kept our dance floor absolutely packed for nearly the entire night. We were super worried about hiring a DJ in general because we are pretty laid back and wanted our vibe to be laid back/low key - she nailed it! It was not boring or cheesy - she brought the exact right amount of energy to our atmosphere and kept our guests going. She was also flexible during (countless) changes made to the schedule of the wedding last minute as things were progressing. And don't even get me started on the value of these services - fantastic!

DJ Skillzmatic was absolutely incredible during our large corporate event. We didn't give her much to work with ahead of time and had a rather shy crowd and she ended up getting everyone up and dancing anyways. Received so, so many compliments on her music choices and how she emceed the whole event. Got everyone pumped and excited and engaged all night long. So happy she was there, really set our event apart from all of the others. She was easy to contact, work with, and was incredibly professional throughout the whole process. A+, hire her for your event!

They were amazing. They were so kind and even though our reception was running behind schedule they were able to help us get everything done in the time frame we had left. They were so great with the crowds! I recommend them to anyone in the area who needs a DJ!

Reatha went above and beyond to make our wedding even better than we expected! I had dozens of questions and request from Reatha leading up to the event and she always responded fast and never made me feel hesitant to ask. The music was on point and was able to get the young and old dancing all night. Nobody wanted the music to stop. My wife has a big Ethiopian family and she was able to incorporate their music without alienating everyone else. Thank you for an amazing night!

Skillzmatic was AMAZING! From the very start of planning our wedding, it was important to us that our guests would have FUN! And oh man, did Reatha and bring some fun! The mix of music was GREAT, and to have never seen a DJ dance with the guests at the wedding the way I saw at ours! Reatha and her friend were both a blast to have for our wedding and she doesn't stop at just playing music for you she and her friend get out there on the floor and dance to keep the party going. Some of us were at a loss for dances to songs but they it out there and showed us and then EVERYONE was out dancing and that's all we could hope for with them as our dj! Thanks so much for all the great music and fun time! If ever there is another event to book a Dj, Reatha you are on top of the list! You rock thanks!

Skillzmatic was just amazing at our wedding! She played all types of music we listed for her and even added things we didn't think of but wanted!
She follows your timeline perfectly and keeps her word when you say you do/don't want certain music played. All her music is radio edits as well so you don't need
to worry about little ears hearing explicit lyrics!

You should definitely choose Skillzmatic for your DJ services. Reatha Johnson and her team are spot on with excellent customer service skills. Alll emails were answered immediately and phone calls were returned right away. The music requests were exactly what we were looking for and played in the timeline that we requested. Reatha was very professional throughout the whole process and really catered to our vision with an array of selection of music. She was very energetic throughout the whole night and did a great job of getting everyone on the dance floor. Skillzmatic Entertainment's staff was always prompt and on-time when it came to answering any questions that we had. She also provided lighting for the wedding which made the venue look even better! I am positive that there is no other DJ service that can provide the same level of value that Reatha provided for us. We were very pleased with the results of the wedding and would absolutely recommend Skillzmatic Entertainment for any event. Thank you again Reatha!

DJ Skillzmatic really got to know us and get a feel of how we wanted our special day tocplay out. We gave her a "must play" and left the rest to her. We were really happy with the overall outcome. She really had the crowd moving, and we will definitely hire her in the future.

The band was excellent! Not only did they play a wide variety of songs, they also made sure to keep everyone engaged and involved during the performances. When the band wasn't playing, Skillzmatic kept the party going, as the DJ. Music makes all the difference between a good party and a bad one, so you might as well get the best.

When initially made the decision to plan a baby shower for my wife I wanted it to be different and creative, but still keep in mind that the purpose was still to celebrate a baby coming. Once I realized how hectic things could get, I got in contact with Skillzmatic for planning assistance and music setting the right atmosphere I wanted but couldn't quite put into words. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION THAT I COULD HAVE MADE! There were shared schedule for everything from paying for different supplies to the timing of each game & when to distribute food. The music was perfect, and everyone had a great time! It definitely wasn't the average baby shower that men hate going to. Thank you so much for your help! It will always be remembered as a great time to my wife and I! AMAZING!

My wedding planning all the way up until my wedding was completely stressful! The only thing I didn't worry about was the DJ. Reatha really eased my mind from our first consultation. Her interactions with me via phone, email, or in person were always speedy! For anyone that has been married you know how hard it is to find someone who is responsive in not only a timely fashion but with speed and excellence. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and from there she created me a sample mix that she presented to me. It was awesome still to this day I pop it in and get down. She even accommodated my hectic schedule and was able to email me things when I didn't have time for a face to face. I really appreciated that she went above and beyond for my special day. She asked for my color scheme and come the day of my wedding her and her crew were dressed in my colors and looked absolutely professional which looked great in my pictures!!!! My reception was the talk of the evening and still to this day because she had us going from the time my husband and I walked in to the time we were ending our magical night. I recommend her to anyone who asks me about a DJ and I will have her do my next event as well!!! The best part is she was completely reasonable with her prices unlike some of the other DJ's that quoted me a ridiculous price. With Reatha I got quality, professionalism, and an overall wonderful experience.

Reatha is very accommodating and flexible with her availability. Not to mention the excellent service you get during your event makes you feel like your money was well spent. My husband and I as well as our guests were more than satisfied. She truly gave everyone an opportunity to get busy on the dance floor with her song selections. Dancing the night away with my high school sweetheart turned hubby was extremely memorable thanks to DJ Skillzmatic. I'd highly recommend you book her in advance. You won't be disappointed.
