Stephanie was our violinist for our fall 2024 wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Shenandoah National Park. She is experienced and professional, and took on two new songs not in her portfolio, including Test Drive (How to Train Your Dragon). I've worked with a lot of musicians in my prior professional life and am happy to report that she is a lot more organized than many I've worked with (which is to say, she is quite organized). We would both recommend her without hesitation for whatever event you're thinking of hiring her for. -

Stephanie is a phenomenal violinist. She really helped set the tone for our wedding. She is so elegant and played beautifully. Our guests were blown away by her talent beginning with the pre-ceremony music through the cocktail hour.
Stephanie has a great catalog of music and a willingness to learn more, if needed. She is very responsive and will work with your craft your vision for the event.
We had a small technical issue with the officiant’s microphone during the ceremony. Stephanie immediately resolved the issue and we didn’t think twice about it.
Nonetheless, Stephanie sent us a refund for a portion of the fee due to the issue. She definitely did not have... -

Stephanie is FANTASTIC! From our first inquiry call, she was such a pleasure to work with- prompt, kind and flexible! She performed the ceremony music with electric violin for our wedding at the Church of the Holy City in Washington DC. She offered a phenomenal song selection and all our guests raved about how beautiful her music is! Her professionalism and ease throughout the planning process was so appreciated, and she even saved the day by allowing us to add on a microphone for the ceremony the night before! I hired Stephanie from Singers and Strings to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour and it was easily one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. She is so great to work with, customizes her songs to what you want for your day and she is so incredibly talented. Our guests LOVED her modern songs on the electric violin. She even played Africa by Toto for our exit up the aisle. She really brought an elegance and magic to our ceremony. -

Book with Stephanie! She expertly performed instrumental renditions of a variety of love and Disney songs that set the atmosphere for our wedding ceremony. Our guests raved about her performance. She goes above and beyond braving a snowstorm to make our wedding and her positive energy was infectious. I can't say enough good things about her! I’m a medical student and I hired Stephanie to play the violin for my piece in an annual talent show put on by the medical students. Prior to the show, I expressed to Stephanie that I would need a rehearsal with her (as it can be very difficult to dance to live music), and she was very gracious in working around both my busy schedule and her many bookings to accommodate this request. For our backyard wedding, we had Christine from Singers and Strings perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour (while we also took photographs). She was early to set up, played our requested and other songs beautifully, and there weren't any issues (which is especially a relief when you are the bride like I was!) With respect to finding a violinist, I worked with the owner of the company Stephanie who was responsive and had a great attitude. You may find that some event vendors (not just musicians) are not responsive or are not enjoyable to work with but she was great and I am very appreciative of that. Highly recommend Singers and Strings! -

From start to finish Stephanie was professional, responsive, kind and of course talented. Please check out her music. We listened to her play via her website, and we immediately knew we had to book her for our wedding. We thought having a violinist for our small intimate wedding, that was being live streamed would be a special touch and show for those who couldn't attend. And, wow! Stephanie did not disappoint. Her song list is endless. She was able to play some of our favorite R&B songs. Our guests were amazed, 2mts later we are still receiving compliments. Stephanie and the Singers and Strings Events were a dream to work with from day one. Due to Covid my daughter's wedding had to be postponed from June to August and Stephanie was immediately available to help me coordinate the change. She was continuously in contact ensuring we had everything we needed and created a timeline of the music for the ceremony. My daughter requested mostly contemporary music to be played by a violinist/ guitarist duo and their performances were spectacular and helped make her vision come to life. Music really sets the tone for a wedding and I could not be more please with choosing them for her special day. -

Stephanie was fantastic! Having her play for our ceremony and cocktail hour was the best decision ever. Our guests all commented on how nice it was having live music, especially during cocktail hour as we were taking photos. We were unfortunately caught up in the covid postponements, but Stephanie was incredibly understanding and flexible and was able to shift our contract to our new date. Even when we changed things around again and moved our ceremony start time, she was very accommodating. She took our song requests for the ceremony (which weren't all traditional wedding songs) and made them sound beautiful. I loved having Stephanie as a part of our wedding day, and would HIGHLY recommend her if you want beautiful music on your special day! -

I am beyond happy with the service provided by Stephanie! My wedding was supposed to happen in March, but due to COVID I had to postpone it to June. Stephanie was very flexible, and amazingly supportive throughout the whole process. She was very responsive and helpful. All of my questions were answered in detail and quick. She made me feel comfortable and confident that she would do a good job. She was very sweet! She did such a perfect job on my wedding day, and was able to tag a long with my Husband who sang in the ceremony. Stephanie is an amazing violinist! Everyone loved her at our wedding! She played an electric violin for cocktail hour and an acoustic violin for the ceremony. She is so responsive! I would email her questions and she would call me that night. She walked me through picking out the ceremony music, who knew there were so many parts! Would hire her again in a heartbeat! -
