    Erin was awesome!! She was very organized and was always on step ahead of me, which is great when planning a wedding because there is a thousand other things going on. Her pictures were absolutely beautiful and she had our proofs back to us in 2 weeks. I was very pleased and impressed with everything. I would recommend Simpson Studios to anyone!

    I loved every minute of working with Erin! When the time of my wedding changed Erin did not let it become problematic and worked very flexibly with us on every detail. She was open to my thoughts and preferences and communicated with my fiance and me very well so that we knew what to expect on our big day. Our engagement pictures were gorgeous and very timely done for announcement purposes, and I can't imagine being happier with her wedding photography! Everything was beautiful, and Erin designed a stunning album for us. The only problem my fiance and I ran into was trying to choose which photos we wanted to order! Ranking Simpson Studios as five-star photography isn't nearly high enough!

    Erin was efficient with the formal shots, while still delivering quality results. I also found her to be very good at blending into the background during the ceremony, while still capturing all our special moments, a skill not many wedding photographers can boast of! Overall, we had a very good experience with Erin during the wedding, and the product she has delivered to us will be a beautiful keepsake for generations.

    Simpson Studios did an amazing job with our wedding! Not only did they create beautiful pictures, but they also make it Very stress free. With everything going on during wedding planning, you can count on them to think of all the little details and take care of everything without a worry! I would recommend them to anyone who is getting married!

    Erin was great to work with! She had a fast turn-around time and we thought her professionalism was great. She seemed relaxed the day of the wedding which helped us all! We loved her work!

    With all of the stresses planning a wedding brings, it was great to have full confidence in my photographer. Erin is organized, particular and personable. She captured all of our candid wedding day moments, and also made the posed photos look creative and natural. When ordering, I loved the option of having a CD with all of the photos. Knowing I can print any photo at any time took the pressure off of choosing prints. Erin is a quality photographer and worth much more than she charges!

    Erin takes marvelous pictures for an un-beatable price. We were so impressed with her professionalism with handling the large family pictures and her flexibility with our numerous requests. You won't be disappointed!

    Working with Erin was one of the best parts of the entire wedding planning experience for me. I was handling most of the planning myself and I had no idea where to start. Erin was super helpful in offering a suggested photo list beforehand, and giving us the names of quality local printers (we ordered an album and a DVD through Erin, but wanted to make the prints ourselves) when it came time for us to get our order. Even though I had tons of questions she always responded quickly.

    She was also fantastic when it came to details of the wedding day. She helped coordinate where people were supposed to be and worked very efficiently to get us to our reception on time. She was polite to our guests and worked very well with the rest of the reception staff.

    It was also refreshing to work with an experienced photographer who was close to our age (twenties). She had fresh tastes and new ideas that we didn't see with other photographers. She created two collages for us that were AMAZING. We will definitely recommend.

    I got married back in September 2009, and booking Erin as my photographer was definitely the best "steal" I got from all of my vendors. Her prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, which was very important to me -- furthermore, her inexpensive prices do not compromise her quality of work at all. Very high quality at a very affordable price -- a total win-win for me. =)

    Her communication was great throughout the entire process -- the 10,000 questions I asked before I booked her, the time between the booking and the day of the wedding, the day of the wedding, and after the wedding as well. In addition to providing beautiful proofs, she created gorgeous coffee table books for me. I loved them so much that I ordered extras as "Thank You" gifts for our parents.

    You certainly can't go wrong by booking Erin -- she's extremely professional, her work is beautiful, her prices are fantastic, and her communication is outstanding. I'd give her 6 stars if I could!

    Erin is a wonderful photographer and she does a wonderful job at capturing the moments that no one else could. There were just silly moments that no other photographer would have taken advantage of. You will be extremely happy with her services. They even managed to get all my guys their flowers on and straight. Something they apparently were having trouble doing on their own. You can't get that from other photographers.

    Erin is very helpful, great communication, worked with us on rescheduling our engagement session and was very eager to shoot our ethnic wedding. Erin's prices are extremely reasonable. She did great work at my wedding, very patient and professional!

    For the most part, our experience with Erin was enlightening. We were not worried about her abilities before the wedding, although her wedding photography experience was limited. However, we quickly learned that communication was not her strong suit. She responded to our emails prior to the wedding in enough time to confirm she would be there, but getting her to respond afterward was another matter. It took days or sometime as much as a week for a response. Some parts of her ordering process seemed clumsy and time consuming, such as sending us the proofs, having us send her the pics or package we wanted, then she sent an invoice, which we sent back with payment, and finally we received the photo CD. The price could not be beat, but we signed a contract early in 2009 before her prices became much higher. There were also a couple instances where professionalism was lacking: she failed to remind us to bring the other half of our deposit for her beforehand or to the actual wedding even when she was there shooting the ceremony. I know it was our responsibility, but we had understandably a lot on our minds that day (me being w/out a planner or event organizer was trying to do everything i could myself-not a good idea for the bride). Well, needless to say when we arrived later at the reception Erin pretty abruptly approached us and threatened to leave if she didn't get the remaining $100 of her deposit. We scrambled to borrow a check from a relative so she would stay and finish. She told us when our paid time was up and we decided to have her stay another 30min to get the cake cutting and first dances, based on her verbal quote of her additional time price. SHe did fail to tell us at that time that no matter how long she stayed, we would be billed in hourly increments. Another hiccup during the ordering process was the acual name of the business on her documents and advertising (including business cards): we wrote a check to "Simpson Studios" for our order invoice, only to have Erin email a week later that she was not actually doing business under that name, she shredded our check, and we would have to send another made out to her personally. She reminded us that our contractual time frame to actually receive our order was 12 weeks or something like that, and they weren't even bound by that due to teh language being they would "endeavor" to get us the product by that time. Even for just ordering a CD with the pics on it...We came to find out later her hard drive storing the photos had crashed and they were trying to see if our pics could even be retrieved, which was taking a long time. We were irritated but more understandable on the time frame when we heard this. It seems Erin can be a little immature and unprofessional at times when handling issues with customers. I'm hopeful these things will work themselves out as she gets more experience under her belt, because we were happy with the photos.

    Simpson Studios Photography's reply:

    In response to this review, I am going to be honest and say that I was shocked, confused and not a little upset after reading it. All other things aside, I am insulted that I had to find out about a client’s dissatisfaction through a review when any concerns should have been expressed to me directly. Mike and Nicole never made any mention that they were unhappy with any aspect of my services or any incident that happened, or didn't happen and, on the contrary, indicated that they had been quite pleased with my work.

    Nearly this entire review is completely fictitious. I kept in close contact with the couple by both phone and email up until the morning before the ceremony and, while I did request payment from the bride, I never even suggested leaving before the end of our contract. They were informed at our consultation when payment was due as well as specifying very clearly in their contract when payment deadlines were. Additionally, I encouraged them to pay the entire amount before the wedding to avoid forgetting, but they declined. Since then, we have altered our payment policies to require full payment one week prior to the wedding in order to help avoid potentially awkward situations such as this one.

    Their complaint concerning the time frame for orders is not even valid, considering that it was also addressed in the contract. If this was an issue, it is something that should have been discussed beforehand. The misunderstanding regarding how payments were to be made was also the result of this particular couple not reading the contract and event information that was given to them, as was their complaint regarding the pricing for additional shooting hours.

    I regret that we did not have the opportunity to discuss these concerns with this particular couple, as I would have preferred to have been able to have come to some arrangement that would have left everyone satisfied. This experience, however, has given us valuable insight in how to make the entire wedding photography experience smoother for future wedding clients.
