The Heart & Soul of our Ceremony
Lauren Hill is so much more than an officiant—she became our Chief Love Officer, a guiding light, and a true friend throughout our wedding journey. From the moment we met her, we knew she was the perfect person to lead us in our love ceremony.
Our wedding was all about community and chosen family, and Lauren understood that deeply. She led us with warmth, familiarity, and an unshakable presence that made us feel completely at ease. Her words were not just beautiful; they were intentional, personal, and reflective of our love story in a way that felt like she had known us forever.
On our stoop, in the heart of Brooklyn, Lauren created a ceremony that was both intimate and electric—filled with laughter, tears, and moments where her knowing eye contact reminded us that we were exactly where we were meant to be. She brought the vibes, the energy, and the magic, making our day even more meaningful than we could have imagined.

We loved working with Lauren she went above and beyond to incorporate our unique asks into the ceremony and really helped make it feel special. We wanted to incorporate D&D and a dice roll in some way and in spite of not being overly familiar with the rules Lauren took the time to research Dungeons and Dragons and came up with the wonderful idea for us to roll for initiative in order to determine vow order. It was such a great way to incorporate our love of D&D into the ceremony. She really took the time to get to know us and tailor the ceremony to our story. She helped us feel at ease during the entire process and brought a calm presence on the day of that was wonderful. Lauren was very responsive and professional. She made the entire process so easy. I have always believed in the saying “Everything happens for a reason!” and this couldn’t’ be any truer in our attempt to figure out how to get married in NYC on a short notice. My partner & I decided to elope, and we were so clueless on how to go about organizing the logistics involved in two foreigners getting married in New York. We stumbled upon Lauren during our attempts to contact the City Clerk of NYC and we never had to worry about a single thing once we signed up with her. From explaining each step of the process, getting to know us to make the ceremony more personalized and to organizing the photographers, the logistics around the venue etc., Lauren was there for it all. She is amazing, super-organized and knew exactly what we needed to make our day super-special! Even after our wedding day, she supported us in getting our documents and is just a call/message away if we need help. I must also mention the wonderful photographer (Gregory) who took brilliant photos of our wedding.
For any one looking to get hitched in NYC or even outside of, I would definitely say Lauren is the best officiant to consider!

Lauren was an amazing officiant who I would recommend to anyone getting married. She has a way of focusing in on the special parts of a relationship and crafting a heartfelt ceremony for your special day. She made us feel really cared for and even took care of the marriage license for us. -

Juneteenth Wedding Celebration
Lauren is an amazing officiant. From the first phone call consultation, she was warm, bubbly and really upbeat. She was very helpful with the whole process of how to get our marriage license, which in our case was a bit more complicated due to Covid. She walked us through step by step and gave us pointers on how to secure an appointment to get our marriage license in time. We reached out to her two months before our planned wedding date. Despite the quick turnaround, she was very helpful and patient. Our ceremony was small, simple and intimate, however, she helped to make it special by including details from the relationship questionnaire she had us fill out. The questionnaire was very detailed and thorough and shows how much Lauren goes above and beyond to give her clients a personalized experience and also how passionate she is about her craft. She made our Juneteenth wedding very special. We highly recommend her! -

Lauren is a thoughtful and considerate officiant. She's professional and helpful. Her rate is so affordable for all she's willing to do as far as sharing her wisdom from being part of so much wedding planning any even advocating for the couple to other vendors. Sadly, we got married via zoom due to covid on 5/27/20 but Lauren helped us to maintain perspective and it was a beautiful, touching and personal ceremony. I'm so thankful for Lauren and will happily rehire her for my vow renewal. -

Call it faith, call it divine synchronicity, call it a match made in heaven. Lauren from Simply Weddings NYC was absolutely phenomenal!
During the process of working with her, we were like " Why is Lauren asking us all of these questions!?" and "what's up with all of these guiding vow prompts...??" It wasn't until we heard her sermon/speech, that we were like WOW! She nailed it, and all of our family and friends thought she was part of the tribe, a long time friend who knew us for years. Lauren/Simply Wedding NYC impressed us and blew us away, Lauren touched on everything we could have ever wanted and more! She brought humor, joy, storytelling, and her words complimented our vows just perfectly. Thank you for being a high quality officiant! -

If you want an officiant who feels like a friend, you have found your vendor in Lauren. I honestly don’t think I could say enough positive things about our experience. From our first meeting in 2019 at Starbucks, to postponing the wedding, up to our ceremony day, she was there supporting us 100%. You can feel the passion she has for her work, and she really took the time to understand us as individuals and as a couple. Our ceremony was equal parts humorous and heart-felt, it was perfect. She is reasonably priced and goes above and beyond for her clients. For example, the night of our wedding rehearsal we were running late to our rehearsal dinner. As I was dealing with the venue staff, she called the restaurant for me to bump back the reservation time; something so unexpected but extremely helpful in the moment. I promise if you book Lauren as your wedding officiant, you will not be disappointed. -

Lauren was an amazing Officiant! My wedding was planned within a month, and we were so lucky to find Lauren in such short notice. From the moment we spoke on the phone, I knew I wanted her to officiate our wedding. And later when we met through Zoom, my husband was sure as well. She made us feel super comfortable! She wrote us some beautiful vows and she included a beautiful welcome to our families, including the dogs, mentioned our unborn son, who I am currently pregnant with, and even made a beautiful mention of my husband's father, who unfortunately isn't with us anymore. Please give Lauren a chance, you won't regret it! -

Lauren was absolutely amazing! She helped guide us to make our wedding more personal and was so knowledgeable in the legal processes as well. Lauren is incredible!! She made our wedding ceremony one my husband and I and our family will remember forever. Her words were thoughtful and truly customized to fit us as a couple. She is responsive, very easy to work with and genuinely down to earth. If you have the opportunity to book with Lauren, do it! You will not regret it, we changed our wedding day just to be able to work with her because we loved her so much right from the first phone call with her! -

Lauren is incredible at what she does! We had our wedding cancelled due to coronavirus and then saw Gov Cuomo signed an executive order saying he would allow video weddings. This was signed on a Saturday, officiants were given guidance late in the day Sunday, we scrambled to plan a wedding Monday, and we were married on Tuesday! None of it would have been possible without Lauren! She felt like a complete pro with the legal stuff and that took a lot of stress off of us. We trusted her and she gave us very simple instructions that we had no problem following. She also gave us some homework (questions we answered about our relationship) that made our ceremony very personal and meaningful. This was her first video wedding ever, but she made it seem like she had done it 1000 times. All of our guests raved about her as well! She is a wonderful, kind, professional person and we highly recommend her!
