Emily was recommended to us by a mutual friend when I started looking for a planner 3 months before our wedding. We’d had to reschedule our wedding several times due to Covid, and when we connected with Emily we had our venue (on site catering), photographer and a very specific vision for our centerpieces and decor that was, quite frankly, a lot to ask for on such short notice. Emily made it all happen. Our wedding day was everything we had envisioned and more. In addition to moving mountains to make our vision a reality, she is super organized, has great connections, and will do endless amounts of research to find the best vendors for your needs! I didn’t stress at all the day of knowing she was taking care of everything. We can’t recommend her enough!!! -

We knew we wanted our wedding celebration at our house, but we were completely stumped on how to host 115 people in our backyard. Emily came over and had the whole thing planned out in 20 minutes! She is a consummate professional: I experienced clear communication, witnessed strong vendor relationships, and she was just a wonderful person to work with. Highly recommend! -

I can genuinely say my wedding would have never happened the way it did without Emily. Everything was absolutely perfect. She made everything seamless — from the entire year and a half long planning process to the day of. She handled every situation with grace and expertise. I am admittedly a ~control freak~ and every little concern/whim/thing that came up was handled swiftly and efficiently. She worked so hard to make sure our day was amazing. I will continue to shout Emily’s name and company FROM THE ROOFTOPS because this girl is just THAT GOOD. Not to mention she is genuinely a delight to be around and I think we would absolutely be friends outside of this. If you are planning a wedding, I need you to listen to me and hire Emily Sharp — we just could have never pulled this off without her. -

The best wedding planner and the best team!!!!
As I finished my last year of grad school and worked full time during the year of my wedding, I was worried that I would not be able to have my dream wedding due to lack of time for planning. Thanks to Simply Sharp Events, not only did they plan my dream wedding, but they did more than I could ever imagine. Emily is amazing. She is genuine, personable, and relatable. She listens to you and does everything in her power to create the vision you want. She gives the best insight, advice and ideas. Emily is well known in the wedding community and has great relationships with amazing vendors. Wedding planning was actually enjoyable, and there were things that her team did that I would have never of thought of to do. My wedding day was incredible, and everything went so smooth because of this team. I did not have to worry about anything, and could actually enjoy the moments with my husband, family and friends without worrying about the coordination of vendors and timelines. I promise you will not regret booking with Simply Sharp Events. Emily is truly the best and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to coordinate my wedding day! -

TLDR, I'd give Emily 10 stars if that were possible, no joke.
We're from out of state and had no idea how we were going to plan our Kentucky wedding, we didn't even know where we would be living at the time of our wedding. Enter Emily. We gave her the most vague direction - basically "we want it to be colorful and maximum fun", and somehow she completely got it. Every suggestion, every vendor, every detail felt exactly right.
The venues we chose were unique (Lost River Cave for the ceremony and the National Corvette Museum for our welcome party) and could have been troubling to manage, but Emily handled all the logistics like the absolute pro that she is. We never had to worry about a single thing. Her attention to detail was insane in the best way. Things we never would have thought of, she had covered.
As out-of-towners, we had zero connections in Bowling Green, but Emily knows EVERYONE. The vendors she recommended were incredible. She would take our input, and then give us two options to select from. Very easy, data in, evaluate, make decision. I think the only time we even asked for a third option was for our photographer Morgan who was fantastic. Special shoutout to our DJ Andrew from Quiet Desperado Entertainment - he is phenomenal - our dance floor was packed all night, and we would never have found him without Emily. The caterers were amazing, the flowers were gorgeous, everything was actually perfect.
Communication with Emily was always easy. Quick responses, regular check-ins, and she always made time for our random worried texts. She kept us sane through the whole process.
Honestly, we could not have done this without Emily. I know that's a cliche but holy hell it's so so so true in our case. If you're getting married anywhere in Kentucky, Tennessee worldwide, just hire her. We cannot recommend her highly enough. She's worth every penny and then some. THANK YOU EMILY! -

40th birthday weekend bash!
Emily was fantastic and took care of all aspects of the weekend from invitations to reservations, transportation, food and hiring the actors for a murder mystery party. She handled all food and bar aspects, including a gluten free menu and cake for the celebration! Most importantly she was so helpful, humble and made my wife’s 40th amazing. Highly recommend! -

Working with Emily and her team at Simply Sharp Events was the best, most enjoyable, and easy process throughout the wedding planning process. She was full of wisdom, helping dreams become reality, fun, and professional at the same time - from planning to the wedding day. I truly don’t think I could express my gratitude enough for helping create such a perfect day and helping everything run smoothly. As a matter type B person she helped me stay on track with planning and timeline!! She also was incredible day of and made the day feel so seamless while following a timeline and also making sure we (the couple) had the best day ever! Dream Coordinator and General Life Saver
I have said it before and I will say it again, hiring Emily & Simply Sharp Events was the best money I spent throughout our wedding planning process! From day one she matched our excitement and saw the vision I was headed in and became a friend during the process. No question I asked was too out there or too hard for Emily to answer. On the day of, she was able to command the attention of all family and bridal party members with humor and wit and kept the timeline rolling. Kristen was a hero with a water bottle during the pre & post ceremony photos, we would have been dehydrated and grouchy without her. I have no desire to ever plan a wedding again, but if I ever did, I would hire Emily again first. -

If you have no idea where to begin with planning your wedding, I have one word for you: EMILY. Emily took my wedding from being just an idea to executing the backyard wedding of my dreams. I booked the full service package with her, and within 48 hours of our first phone call, she had already scheduled a caterer tasting, obtained quotes from florists, mapped out the venue structure, set up 2 hotel blocks, and connected me with my hair/makeup artist. She set the bar extremely high from the beginning, and it never came down. Emily thought of details I didn't even know needed planning - Who will wash the dishes? Where will the restrooms go? How will parking work? When do I need to send out invites? She helped me every step of the way. She has the quickest response time of any person I've ever known, immediately answering any and every question I had. She made me feel like I was her sole focus, and she cared just as much about the beauty of the day as I did. When you have a backyard wedding, you essentially build a venue from scratch. From day 1, Emily was ready for the challenge, and she carried her optimism and flexibility throughout the entire experience, even when we had to put up tents at the last minute due to rain. She remained positive, professional, and punctual. Every vendor in town loves her. She found our DJ, photo booth vendor, signage printer, caterer, rental company, portable restrooms, and bread maker (yes, she even found me a person who makes fresh sourdough per request!). She constantly searched the internet for deals and creative ideas that I could implement. I haven't stopped talking about my wedding since it happened, and I probably never will. What I initially dreaded planning, Emily turned into the world's most magical event, and now I'm so sad that it's over! She has become like family to us. Emily picked me up and saved me 100 times throughout the whole process, and I am so overjoyed that we got to experience it all with her. THANK YOUUUUU to Simply Sharp Events for making every one of my dreams come true!!!!! I could write so much more! -

Booking Emily with Simply Sharp Events to help plan our wedding was the best decision I could have made! Our wedding was in Bowling Green, KY, and we were planning our wedding from out of town and were unfamiliar with the area. Emily saved us so much time and effort with her knowledge and connections to vendors in the area. Throughout the entire process, Emily was easy to communicate with, quickly responded to any questions we had, and was flexible with planning meetings around our busy schedules. From the beginning, I felt that Emily prioritized our happiness and helped create and fulfill the vision we had for our wedding. Emily listened to any concerns we had and worked to find appropriate vendors that fit our needs and found solutions to any problems that arose. We were new to the wedding planning process, and I felt that Emily did a great job with explaining timelines, budgets, and planning details that we would have never thought of on our own.
While we had a general idea of what we wanted our wedding to look and feel like, I was looking for a wedding planner that could refine and expand on our ideas. Emily exceeded our expectations on this, and she helped execute the most beautiful, fun, and smooth running wedding day that we could have imagined. We had many guests compliment us on the decor and setup within the venue, and to this I give full credit to Emily. While I feel that our wedding turned out as wonderfully as it did because the planning process was a truly collaborative effort, Emily always made it clear that our wants for the wedding were the priority.
On the day of the wedding, Emily also made us as the bride and groom feel special and prioritized. We were able to enjoy our wedding to the fullest because Emily made it clear that she would take care of any problems that arose. We loved Emily's idea of a private dinner for us in between the ceremony and first dance, and she hand delivered the food and drinks to our private area. Throughout the rest of the night, Emily checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted from drinks and food to dance floor pictures. Emily was extremely organized and skilled at not only the wedding planning process, but in executing a smooth and stress-free wedding day.
Emily is personable, timely, creative, budget-conscious, and extremely effective in her role as a wedding planner and coordinator. I had a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend Emily at Simply Sharp Events as a wedding planner for any bride! -

I cannot overstate how vital Emily and her team were to our wedding. She is everything and more you could ever ask for in an event coordinator, well-connected, competent, approachable, commanding, and most of all a great dancer.
The peace-of-mind we had going into our wedding and during our event was almost completely due to Emily. She gave us the space we needed to enjoy our big day and spend meaningful time with our loved ones. I'd give her infinite stars if I could. -

AMAZING! Hire immedaitely
Absolutely cannot recommend Emily enough. Would give more than 5 stars if we could. We were looking for someone to just simply set up for morning of the wedding and by booking day of coordination with Emily we got so much more. Emily helped review contracts and arrange all vendor arrival times, ensured every person - vendors and wedding party- had all of the details they needed, gave me a checklist, instructions, details for anything I had asked, was incredibly responsive and so much more. Emily is very clearly well connected to other vendors you need in the area and gave us great recommendations when our hair and make up vendor fell through. Beyond having amazing knowledge of the industry and being incredibly professional, Emily was amazing to work with - so bubbly, cheerful, personable. We got many compliments on Emily during our day of as she was a critical resource in ensuring our day went so smoothly. Every guest she had interacted with had something amazing to say about her, especially our guest who had an allergy to our cake and she remembered to go personally tell them not to eat it in the midst of a chaotic. If any issues arose day of, my now husband and I had no idea. Emily is incredibly resourceful and solved all of the problems without issue or needing to involve us. Our day was amazing and Emily was a huge part of that. You will not regret hiring her for her top notch skills and dance moves. -

She was my bestfriend throughout the planning process and day of… She is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet and always has your best interest in mind. I physically and mentally could not of had my wonderful wedding without her. I cannot thank her enough for all she did. She kept me sane and happy. She made all my wedding visions come true.
