Engagement Photos
My finance and I were visiting Charleston SC for my birthday and we decided last minute to try and take engagement photos during our stay. I came across Simply Korsun Photography while searching and I absolutely loved her portfolio. Alena was so helpful, accommodating, responsive and professional from start to finish. Although we had never met Alena, she kindly greeted me with a hug and made us feel conpletly comfortable in front of the camera. My finance and I had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Simply Korsun Photography. Alena is passionate about her photgraphy and she is truly talented! -

Alena took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos- both of which were more beautiful than we could have dreamed of. Her style is light and airy without being over-edited. I felt comfortable in front of her camera and feel like her photos were reflective of our genuine emotions. We decided to forgo a videographer and with the work Alena did we don't feel like we missed out at all.
Our wedding was featured on The Ruffled Blog, a dream of Alena's which we were so happy to be a part of, all thanks to her! I couldn't recommend her services enough, it was a dream to work with someone of Alena's caliber. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! -

Wedding Pictures ♡
Alena is Such an AMAZING photographer with so much talent. She is so sweet and knows what she is doing. Gets every good angle and it is never awkward with her. We got our wedding pictures a few days ago!!! And I gotta say.. WOAH 😍😍 there is not a single picture that I don’t like. We completely fell in love with every single one. And the pricing is just perfect and wonderful for what you get. Honestly I would recommend Alena to anybody.. saddly she moved from Oregon, but I am so thankful we had her on our special day! She turned our special day into memories I would say.. now I can look back any time and with a smile on my face. 😍 I would choose her over and over and over again! ❤️ Loved everything about the service. -

Alena is a very talented photographer! One of the best decisions we’ve made was have her photograph our engagement and our wedding. The pictures are beyond amazing! Alena is extremely attentive and always answered any questions I had. Would definitely recommend her! -

Alina Sent on 08/24/2018Simply Korsun Photography is by far the most easiest photographer to have ! She is very professional and also knows how to pose people very well . My husband and I had her two times for styled shoots and honestly I wish my wedding photographer knew how to bring an image she has in her head to life (as much as Alena ) Definitely recommend to anyone !

She is such a sweet soul and is insanely talented!! She did our engagement and wedding pictures and they came out better than I would have ever imagined!! She also did a family session for us at the mountains and they were adorable! She knows her stuff, yet is so humble and outgoing! We are so lucky we found her! Im SOO sad that she will be leaving the northwest:( however, I know wherever she goes, she continue to surpass people’s expectations! I recommend her to ANYONE that is looking for a dream wedding photographer! You won’t regret it<3 -

Nothing short of amazing!
I can’t think of enough words to describe how amazing Alena is! From the beginning of our wedding journey until the very end she was sweet and professional! She is patient, understanding, answered all our questions, listened to all my concerns and remembered them when editing our pictures, was very flexible in our situation (we had a lot of last minute decisions), and she did everything to capture our wedding! She is everything you’d want in a photographer, look no further!
We got the full package from Alena with engagement, wedding day, and second day pictures. We absolutely loved all of our pictures! They are classic, I would truly look back when I’m old and love them even more. She has an eye for detail when it comes to framing her shots and continuously double-checks them on her camera during the session to make sure they’re perfect. She captured all our details beautifully on our wedding day, so many candid moments of us and of our guests; she was on top of everything. Even my mother in law was amazed at how she moved during the wedding to make sure she didn’t miss a photo! When she saw a couple taking a picture with us on their phone, she stopped them before leaving to make sure she got the picture as well.
In all our sessions she helped us pose, knew what to say so that we had a genuine smile in all our pictures, and told us when we smiled too hard or not enough so that we looked perfect. She knew her locations, helped us pick one for all our pictures, and so immediately took charge to show us where to stand all around the venue. She had a plan in mind when coming to every photography session and didn’t waste a single minute of our time there, literally! If she had two more minutes of picture taking on the clock at a rented facility, she made sure to snap a few more shots. We got previews of each session within a couple of weeks and she made sure to ask each time if we loved the edits and if we wanted to make some changes. We didn’t make any; they were that perfect and we were picky when looking at portfolios during our search for a photographer!
Most of all she made us feel comfortable when taking pictures! And I cannot say enough how important this is in a photographer. We are so sad she moved from the PNW, she is dearly missed! After the first pictures we took together I was convinced she would be our family photographer until we grew old, capturing all our important events!
We had a chance on a different occasion to take photos with another photographer we considered for our wedding day that was more expensive, and both my husband and I were not as inspired by their work. Talk about the relief and assurance we had that we made the right decision in hiring Alena!
I know this is a long review but after all the learning from mistakes we did during our wedding planning process, I have no regrets about hiring Simply Korsun Photography; if I had to do it all over again I would hire her again in a heartbeat. I had to do my planning long distance and the one thing I regret is that I wasn’t in town to meet up with her and talk about wedding details and styling! She loves it and she has such a great eye for it! She truly wants you to have the best possible pictures for one of the most important days of your life. Beautiful person inside and out!

She is super easy to talk to, she answered any questions I had, her work quality is just amazing. I’m glad that I chose her for my special day. Honestly her pictures speak for themselves♥️♥️

Alinka Sent on 08/24/2018Alena is one of the most sweetest person I have met in my life. She is so patient and understanding. She photographed our engagement and wedding pictures. My dream was to take engagement pictures on a canoe but my Fiancé didn't think it was the best idea because he said we could fall of the canoe, but I insisted that we do, so we ended up going to Trillium Lake. We got on the canoe and stood up and as Alena was taking a picture, we fell in the water!!!! ( I wish Alena had captured that scene) lol. Anyway we got all wet, and didn't know what we were going to do. Alena was super calm and said "everything will be okay, we will figure something out" and she did. Everything went smoothly and we had another session that evening. Not only is Alena incredibly talented, but very reliable as well and can solve problems fast. Every time we met up with Alena, she was never late, she patiently waited for us to show up. Alena has the best qualities of a photographer and I would HIGHLY recommend her. You wont regret it <3

I have absolutely ADORED all my picures. She’s very professional and honestly just has an eye for pictures. Tells you exactly how to pose and you may think hmmm that feels awkward, TRUST ME, it turns out amazing. She’s the best. Very sad she’s leaving the west coast

Julia Sent on 08/28/2018Alena and her husband photographed my wedding this past June. From the moment I booked her I knew I had made an amazing choice. Before the wedding we talked and she was so sweet and professional about everything. On the day of the wedding her and her husband went above and beyond to get the perfect shots. I had the lights dimmed at my wedding reception and Alena was great about knowing where to set up the flash so every picture would turn out beautifully. Overall me and my husband are so happy that we went with simply korusn photography and we would recomend her to anyone looking for a photographer! ☺️

Katrina Sent on 08/24/2018Alena did a few family sessions for us and let me just say, I wish I knew her sooner! She is so sweet and talented and patient! My kids are extremely difficult when it comes to taking pics and just in general with people they don’t know, but Alena was able to get them to pose and smile and look at the camera! They really liked her! Her poses are the cutest! She made us feel like we’re dating all over again when she was taking photos of just my husband and I! Although Alena didn’t take our wedding photos, she is an awesome photographer with a whole lot of talent! You will not be disappointed!

Sara Sent on 08/28/2018We had alena photograph our wedding and man was she amazing. She was very very sweet, kind, clear, explained what she needed, postitioned us and she listened. Whatever I asked of, or specific things, she did. Which is a plus on your wedding day! She captured the best, to the funny, and even caught off guard moments that I will be able to look back on and laugh at! She captured the real, not acting, not staged, but real moments! I'm soooo thankful and she went above and beyond! I will forever love my, natural, detailed, not over edited, love filled/joy filled photos. Thank you again!
