Best cake ever

A month after our wedding I am still having my guest ask me where I got my cake and how they went back for seconds. I was blown away with how perfect they were!

She was amazing!

She was a recommendation from our venue and she was phenomenal. She was super accommodating, understanding and flexible. Everything tasted amazing ( my now husband doesn’t like cake and loved her stuff!) and looked wonderful. I’m so happy that we picked her, I would 100% use her again.

Award winning cake

The sweetest cake lady in the hill country. We had the carrot cake, red velvet and chocolate chocolate chip and they were all amazing! We had the hardest time even choosing flavors because they were all so good! Not to mention, she helped ease my stress, since we reside 1200 miles from where we got married!

Exceeded expectations!

Working with Cheryl was amazing. She is beyond talented and is just as sweet as her delicious cakes! She made my wedding cake and my husband’s groom cake and we were absolutely in heaven. All of my guests enjoyed both cakes, there was no leftovers of the groom’s cake it was such a hit! I would definitely recommend her for all of your cake needs.

Very delicious and beautiful cakes! This vendor is your best choice for cakes!

We highly recommend Simply Charming Cakes! The cake was beautiful - exactly what we asked for. The cakes and cupcakes were sooooo delicious! We got so many compliments on how great it tasted, and most of it was gone despite quite a few people leaving before we cut the cake. One friend said that she does not like wedding cakes at all usually but these were so good, she had some of each one - wedding cake, cupcake, and groom's cake. I've already given her number to several people. Cheryl was so easy to work with too. Her prices were much more reasonable than many other places, and the results were perfectly delicious and beautiful.

Simply Beautiful!

My sister had her wedding in 2017, and she hired Cheryl. I was very impressed with her work. Her cake was stunning and delicious. The groomsmen cake had the art of his favorite soccer team. Super cool! I knew I had to book her for my wedding.
For our wedding, my cake was elegant and delightful. Cheryl did an excellent job with the my husband’s cake. The cake had the emblem of the basketball team my husband works for. Also, prices are very reasonable!

Almost too beautiful to eat.

Cheryl created a masterpiece for our daughter's wedding cake. She was a pleasure to work with and truly listened to what my daughter wanted. All of the guests commented on how gorgeous and delicious the cake was. Very unique and different. We will absolutely recommend this vendor to others. Thanks again Cheryl!

The Cake Everyone is Talking About!

Cheryl never disappoints with her delicious, one of a kind, hand designed, homemade cakes! I have had the privelege of enjoying her cakes for a number of occasions and my husband and I were thrilled to have her as our baker for our wedding! We chose the white velvet cake with raspberry filling for our wedding cake and the chocolate Guiness cake with Irish cream frosting for the groom’s cake. We received so many compliments from seasoned cake connoisseurs! Cheryl was always prompt in responding to my questions and addressing my concerns as I planned our wedding from ALASKA! You will not be disapointed!!

A dream come true!

Cheryl’s very experienced with and a wealth of knowledge. She was able to take my thoughts and design my dream cake. Tasted over 20 plus cakes which were all so good. My cake was stunning, fast response and excellent follow through. My cake was not only beauty but tasted amazing with so many compliments. The cakes that Cheryl made for my son and daughter-in-law's post-wedding reception/dinner were beautiful! The chocolate fudge groom's cake and the butter/with pineapple filling bride's cake were very moist and delicious! We received many compliments on both cakes. The chocolate cake was completely consumed, but luckily, as I had hoped, we had some of the butter cake leftover to enjoy the next day. Thanks, Cheryl for the beautiful and delicious cakes!

We had a short lead time for planning and Cheryl had a busy schedule, yet she did an outstanding job! Our cake was the centerpiece of our wedding table and our guests were all amazed at how wonderful it looked and tasted. Cheryl was and important part in making our wedding a huge success!

Over many years we have appreciated and enjoyed delicious cakes for numerous occasions by Cheryl of Simply Charming Cakes. At a recent retirement event my son-in-law raved about the cake; in fact he kept saying he "knew" that cake and thought it awesome. In fact he did know the cake as it was the same as his wedding cake 24 years earlier. Cheryl has never disappointed us.

Cheryl was amazing with the help of designing our cake and helping us estimate how much cake we need for our wedding. The cakes are delicious! I always wanted a nice, pretty cake for my wedding but I also wanted it to taste delicious. Our cakes were a home run! Every one loved it and not to mentioned it was super moist. Simply Charming cakes has many flavors to choose from which is probably the hardest part choosing a flavor when all flavors are amazing. The price is great as well. Our family will be buying cakes from this vendor for all events.

I highly recommend Simply Charming cakes to any bride and groom who are looking for a beautifully made AND great tasting cake. To be honest, her cakes were so good, it was difficult for us to narrow down what we wanted for our wedding cake, thus resulting in us ordering a 3rd sheet cake to be served at the reception. We are extremely happy with choosing Simply Charming Cakes for our wedding in Comfort Texas. Cheryl is a talented baker who is easy to work with and did a fantastic job with both the wedding cake and the grooms cake. It was nice not to have to worry about the cake on the day of the wedding because she delivered to our venue as well as set them up beautifully.

I never pictured my wedding cake so i went with a blank picture when i met with Cheryl. I told her how we didnt want anything over the top and simple. Cheryl made an absolutely amazing wedding cake for my daughter's wedding!! Even though we ordered twice as much as we needed, most of the cake was gone. People are still asking us who made the cake so they can contact her. It's hard to even put into words how difficult this cake was to make, but Cheryl accepted this extremely challenging cake and delivered a cake even more beautiful than we even imagined!! The hardest part is choosing which flavors to use because each one is just as good as the last and she has many, many choices!! I would not go anywhere else for your cake needs!!!!!! She is absolutely the BEST!!!!!!!

Better than I could have imagined!! From the cake tasting to the wedding and groom's cake, Cheryl was phenomenal! The cake tasted great; everyone was talking about it, even weeks after the wedding, especially the carrot cake. The wedding cake was beautifully done and very reasonably priced!

We were very satified with the cake service provided by Simply Charming Cakes for my daughter's wedding in San Antonio. We ordered a 3 tiered round cake made of a raspberries filling and cream decorated with fresh flowers. She did a wonderful job with the cake and the decorations. The cake was beautiful and delicious. She was professional in every way in dealing with us; and the cost was very reasonable. The cake was delivered promptly at the venue even though it was quite a distance from her shop. I would recommend her cakes to any bride.

We loved working with Cheryl with Simply Charming Cakes. She was very responsive, to the point and informative about her services and prices. She was very affordable and gave us options to stay within our budget. We had a large wedding but did not want to spend a fortune on a cake, so we had her make a smaller wedding cake and have back up sheet cakes so everyone could have a piece. We had a lot of compliments and even our photographer who stated he never eats wedding cake said he had to try a piece! When we arrived at our reception, the cake was set up and looked gorgeous! Working with her was very easy and smooth! Highly recommend!

Cheryl made shopping for a cake very easy. She arranged a tasting at my convenience and was very flexible on the time and date. She let me share my ideas on what I wanted for a cake and matched with her knowledge she told me how big of a cake I would need to serve my guests. She didn't try to sell me on a larger cake. She had several flavors of cakes to choose from, which made it hard to decide what flavor. So since it was a smaller wedding we were only going to have two layers, so she said I could choose two different flavors which helped cover every ones taste. The cakes were very moist and full of flavor. She used real fruit filling that she made herself. It was the best wedding cake I had ever had. Since the wedding was out of town she packed the cake so I could travel with it. It was so well made that it made the trip with no problems, and all of the guests at the wedding loved the flavors and the design. They wanted to know where I had gotten it and wanted her contact information. I just want to thank Cheryl for helping make my Son's wedding so special. Any time I need a cake made for a special occasion I will definitely will call Simply Charming Cakes. I'm so glad a friend recommended Cheryl to me.

I highly recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for an absolutely delicious cake for any occasion. Planning a wedding can be so overwhelming - especially when the bride and groom live in another state. She provided sound advice -- told us what size cake to order based on number of potential guests. The hardest part -- choosing a cake/filling as everyone we tried was delicious! We didn't have any cake leftover (which made me a little sad as I was hoping to have some the next day). Cheryl is so talented -- she made Sarah's vision a reality. It was perfect...more beautiful that we imagined.

We enjoyed the most beautiful Winter Wonderland themed 3 tiered cake adorned with sugar snowflakes. The cake was wonderfully decorated and simply delicious throughout. Not a slice left!

Cheryl really knows the art of wedding cake making! She understands the customer and shares the best options for the cake decorations. She creates unique, tasty favors. We had so many compliments from our daughters wedding in May 2015 we can't count on our hands how many we received. People are still raving. We wer so glad we had more cakes Mae for the day after the wedding as all of the cake was gone. Yum!

Kudos to Cheryl for being so professional, trustworthy and talented in making beautiful, tasty cakes.

Our wedding was nature themed and we wanted a white wedding cake with a tree of coral leaves going up th base. Cheryl took all our pictures and ideas and created a cake more elegant and beautiful than we had imagined ; not to mention delicious and more well priced than any if the other vendors we considered! We had Cheryl make our wedding cake and a grooms cake and both were amazing! She also made a small cake for our ringbearer who turned 5 on our wedding day. She was very easy to deal with despite being 1800 miles from where we live. All cakes were beautiful and exactly like we requested and tasted as good as they looked. The hardest part was picking from the 16 flavors because they were all delicious. Highly recommended!!

Cheryl created a beautiful and delicious wedding cake based on pictures provided and discussions we had on what we wanted. It turned out so pretty in pink and gold and it looked stunning on the gold cake stand set on the gold sequined table cloth. I had so many compliments on how delicious it was as well. The groom's Redskins cake was definitely a hit too---very tasty and perfect for the Redskin fan the groom is. I don't think there was any of either cake left except for the topper. Thanks again for all your help in getting both of those concepts created and brought to fruition---eye catching as well as delicious!

Simply Charming Cakes did my daughter's Sweet Sixteen birthday cake and delivered it to our venue at Castle Avalon. It was set up and ready to go when we got there! It was gorgeous and tasted DELICIOUS! We've been using Simply Charming cakes since this daughter was christened, and we've never gotten anyone else to make our special cakes. You can't go wrong with Cheryl!

Cheryl did an amazing job on both cakes for our wedding! She was great to work with and came up with good suggestions to help us make decisions. We couldn't decide between all of her great flavors of cake, so we got several. They looked and tasted great! We received so many compliments on the cakes that day.

Cheryl did an amazing job on my wedding cake. She had two other weddings the same day as mine. Her cakes are unbelievably delicious! Everypme at my wedding was eating cake, even the people who hate cake! She will not disappoint you. Anytime I need a cake I will be calling her again! : )

Cheryl was very flexible. She worked with my husband and I on the design and flavors on the cake. She delivered the cake and had it set up hours before the ceremony. Everyone loved the cake. Working with Cheryl was wonderful and she baked us a truly beautiful cake. We had the spicy pear and it was delicious--lots of our guests complimented us on taste! I was blown away by the lovely icing work done (which was included in the base price of the cake). The tasting was also a delicious and friendly experience. We did not end up selecting sugar flowers for our cake but the samples shown to us were gorgeous =)

Cheryl was absolutely amazing! She not only was very flexible with meeting with me and my fiance, but she was very knowledgeable about her products. We had only planned to have our wedding cake made by her, but after speaking with her and looking through her portfolio, we had both wedding cake and groom's cake made.
Cheryl worked with us as far as getting back with her to drop off the cake toppers, as well as making sure we had covered everything that we wanted on our cakes. She delivered the cakes well before the start of the ceremony and reception, and they looked fabulous!
The cakes were not only gorgeous, but they were delicious! She had told us that her carrot cake had won awards, and after trying it, we understood why! It was the BEST carrot cake I have ever had! I would without a doubt go to Cheryl and Simply Charming Cakes for any of my future cake needs, she is truly a professional.

Simply Charming Cakes is just that - gorgeous cakes made with lots of love. They are absolutely beautiful and delicious. Simply Charming Cakes did an amazing baking job for our wedding cakes. They more than exceeded our imaginations. As a life long Texas Rangers fan, she was able to create an unbelievable cake with the teams logo. The bridal cake was made with a edible cherry blossoms and looked amazing. We sampled a few other cake shops, but Simply Charming was by far the best. P.S. We highly recommend the carrot cake!!

Cheryl was amazing! We had a very last minute wedding and she was so helpful and made my vision come true! Her pricing was wonderful and everyone loved the cake! Great flavors and beautiful presentation! Usually you have one or the other but with Simply Charming you get it all!!

Cheryl is amazing, attentive & talented. We came to her a year ago w/plans & she was always helpful, she even created a cake that was new to her: it turned out amazingly! Cheryl has been making cakes for myself and my family for decades. She made all 3 of my daughters first birthday cakes, their wedding cakes and their baby shower cakes. NOT once have we ever been disappointed in our order in fact we have been 100% satisfied with every cake we have ever ordered. FANTASTIC! One of the most beautiful, delicious wedding cakes we have ever had. This lady knows her stuff. EVERYONE was amazed at how beautiful the brides cake was, and got a chuckle out of how she was able to capture the grooms personality, by placing his favorite cookie, (chocolate chip) on top of the grooms cake! She found that information out by taking the TIME to speak with the bride and get a feel of what she and the groom liked. If you want the utmost in courtesy, professionalism, skill, class, and a FANTASTIC, MEMORABLE CAKE, "Simply Charming" is the place to go for the best wedding cake you could ever imagine!

Oh my lanta! This lady can make some dang good cakes! She made my bridal cake and my grooms cake!
These were some of the best wedding cakes I have ever tasted and I am super excited to say they were mine! My bridal cake was white cake with a pineapple filling- WONDERFUL! My grooms cake was a chocolate iced chocolate chip cake- AMAZING! If you are in the area, I would completely suggest getting in contact with Cheryl for all of your cake needs! She does have a pretty long waiting list though, I was lucky enough to get to her early enough for her to be able to bake for my wedding! Very reasonably priced as well!

I am the mother of the groom, and I feel honored to submit a review in regards to this vendor. I have gone to several formal affairs, and I must say that the professionalism , the attention to detail, the courtesy, and the service that this vendor provided to our family, far surpasses ANY that we have ever experienced. She was willing to work with my daughter-n-law in so many ways, and on every occasion, made sure that details that we stressed were important to us, were all met to our satisfaction. Now, in regards to the cake (s)? Their beauty, uniqueness, and TASTE far exceeded our hopes. Everyone that was at the reception, was in amazement in regards to the intricate detailing that went into the design of each cake, and the just absolute beauty, and superior design of the brides cake. They all thought that the grooms cake, fit my sons quirky personality perfectly. I will NEVER use any other vendor for a cake that is needed for a special occasion. If you want the absolute best when it comes to customer service, detailed accomodations, and just all around SUPERIORITY in regards to wedding cakes, this is the vendor to go to! If I could rate this vendor a 10, I would gladly give her a 10+.

Cheryl was so great to work with! We chose most of our vendors while being away at college and she made it so easy for us. We scheduled a taste testing during one of our breaks and we were hooked! The flavors that she makes are so delicious that we wish we could have had them all! We went with the vanilla cake with raspberry filling. She helped us build our cake and gave us designs to look at because we had no idea what we wanted. What we ended up with was so perfect!! Everyone loved our cake and we had so many compliments on the design. Cheryl even worked with our wedding topper. For some reason it was not wanting to stand but she made it work so we were very happy with that! We are so looking forward to eating more cake on our one year anniversary!!

Simply charming cakes was the best choice i made for my wedding. I was in a rush ( my wedding was a month after the proposal!) and cheryl was the only person who could fit me in the rush! Our cake was amaretto with cream cheese frosting! I had so many compliments on it! I may have to have a wedding every year just to eat this cake again!

I had to change my wedding date with short notice and was frantically trying to pull together vendors to make my wedding day all I dreamed for it to be despite the drastic changes in the date. With about a months notice Cheryl agreed to do a small tier cake from the groom and I and cupcakes for our guest (I had made a cupcake tower) with the EXACT vision that I had. Her prices were BEYOND reasonable and the cake/cupcakes were BEAUTIFUL & DELICIOUS!!

All communication with Cheryl was prompt and professional. I would highly recommend her to any bride. She was great!

Our wedding cake and groom's cake was amazing. Cheryl took our vision and translated it into a masterpiece of a wedding cake. Cheryl's wedding cakes are AMAZING! I had tried another vendor first and thought I could make a better one myself and then I tried Cheryl's. Hands down it's the best cake I've ever eaten. Almost all of my guests commented on both the taste and appearance of both the groom's cake and the wedding cake. She is not only great at baking, she is an artist, too. I took in a photo of my groom's country ranch house and she created an almost exact replica of it. It meant so much to him and his sons and was a wonderful surprise for them all. I was so pleased with Cheryl and will definitely use her again. Oh, and did I mention that she missed her grandson's baseball game because my venue did not open on time? Simply Charming Cakes was great! Cheryl was so flexible and helpful with pricing and sizing of the cake. One of the best parts of all the planning was the cakes taste test- all of her flavors were so delicious! She was prompt and organized the day of the wedding, even drove out to Comfort, TX to deliver it! She set up the cake and it looked so simple and beautiful, exactly what I wanted. Our groom's cake was awesome too! The best thing was that the cake was moist and delicious, not at all dry, and the frosting was great- not too sweet but creamy and wonderful. Can't recommend Cheryl enough!

Let me start by saying we are ready tor more cake. This was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted, it was moist and melted in your mouth. The frosting was perfect not too sweet just the right flavor. I have been to wedding's where you see lumps of frosting left on plates. Trust me when I say nothing will be left behind. Cheryl is very pleasant to work with, very professional. The prices are so reasonable for what you get. I tasted a very expensive sample of cakes at another business that was piriced double what Cheryl charges that was awful I was shocked presentation was beautiful but cake itself was dry with freezers taste frosting. Cheryl bakes her cakes and frosting fresh taste like she made hours before serving. Looking forward to my anniversary to eat my wedding cake again. Thank you Cheryl!

Simply Charming provided the custom-made wedding cake of my dreams. The scrumptious cake flavors and icing had guests coming back for a second slice -- thank goodness we ordered extra! The professionalism and experience demonstrated throughout the consultation and delivery were top-notch, giving me full confidence that the cake would be designed perfectly, arrive on-time, and taste delicious. Cheryl made the most delicious wedding cake for my daughter's wedding. It was white velvet with white icing. The grooms cake was Milky Way with Carmel icing which was excellent also. We received lots of compliments on how moist and great the cakes were. I would highly recommend Cheryl's cakes.

Cheryl made our wedding cake and even delivered it for us although our venue was over an hour away and in the middle of nowhere! The cake was not only beautiful but the Snickerdoodle flavor was a huge hit!! It was so delicious and we might not be able to wait until our 1 year anniversary to finish it!

We were planning our wedding from California for San Antonio so the distance was a little difficult. Cheryl was SO incredibly helpful. I showed her exactly what I liked from pictures I found and the website and we came up via email with how I wanted our wedding cake to be. The day of the wedding, OH MY GOODNESS, it turned out better than I even could imagine. The cake was one of my favorite touches of our wedding day. I still can't stop staring at pictures of it! DELICIOUS! The cakes were amazing, and beautifully done. If you want a presentation, Cheryl is amazing. I only had a bit of an idea for my husband's cake, but she turned it into something incredible. She's good with ideas and works with you to get something you like. The only issue I had, and it could have just been me, is we had a few miscommunications about payments and when they had been made and when they were due. I didn't handle most of that though, my mom did, so there may have been a disconnect there. Either way, amazing cakes. Highly recommended.

We worked with Cheryl to create the wedding cake of our dreams. Though we were slightly disappointed with the look of the grooms cake, both the wedding cake and grooms cake tasted absolutely amazing. In fact, our family and friends were fighting over who got the leftovers. So if you are looking for unique or traditional delicious flavors then we highly recommend Simply Charming Cakes.
