Best cake ever!
First off, I’m not much of a cake person, especially lemon flavor... but this lemon cake was THEE most AMAZING cake I’ve EVER HAD!!!! And not just the lemon! Every flavor we tasted to pick our wedding cake was positively DELICIOUS!!!! And while the deliciousness of the cake was definitely a huge factor in why we chose this bakery, the overall cake tasting experience was truly amazing. The owner did an awesome job, made us feel comfortable, let us try a bunch of samples, and let the cake speak for itself. This was the first place we went to on our wedding cake journey and walking out of the shop we knew right away, that was going to be our wedding cake. We ended up choosing lemon, marble, and red velvet as our three wedding cake tiers and surprisingly enough, LEMON was the flavor I decided to have as the main tier that my husband and I would cut at the reception... and we couldn’t wait to eat the cake!!! Now our 1 year anniversary is coming up and when it came time to think about an anniversary cake, hands down, it HAD to be Simply Cakes Etc Bakery! And I’m not just saying this. I live in Long Beach; the cake shop is in Jurupa Valley (56 miles away!) There are PLENTY of amazing cake shops and bakeries near my house, but no, I drove 56 miles (1 and a half hours with very little traffic) to go to this specific shop to order our 1-year anniversary cake and I couldn’t be happier! We are so excited to take a bite of the lemon cake on our anniversary! And again, I don’t even like cake that much—I’m an ice cream girl—but seriously...BEST CAKE IN THE WORLD!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! -

Most memorable
Simply Cakes did an amazing job for my wedding. I had a 3 tier cake with 3 different flavors. The Raspberry Swirl flavor was a big hit. I even had guests fly back to the east coast looking to for bakers to replicate the flavor to no avail.
I loved the design of the cake and especially liked how Simply Cakes made my vision come to life. I look forward to becoming a long time customer ☺️. -

We attended a bridal expo and simply cakes ect. Was there letting us view and sample their cakes so we knew instantly who were we’re going to book to make our cake. The cake tasting to follow was so easy and everyone there was so helpful and nice to us. We absolutely loved our cake for our wedding not only was it beautiful and simplistic but it was so delicious. Thankyou again simply cakes ect for making our dream wedding cake. -

I got my wedding cake here and it was amazing! Got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was and how pretty it was! Simply Cakes, etc...Bakery made our vision for our wedding come to life. We wanted a romantic five-tiered cake with a touch of rococo/baroque flair and received that and more. We came in with a design of what we had in mind, and they brought it to life. They listened to what we wanted and gave us more than we expected. Not only was our cake gorgeous and impeccably designed, it was delicious. I received many compliments on its beautiful presentation and also on the fact that it tasted amazing.
These guys don't just do pretty, they actually know how to bake. Even the additional sheet cakes we ordered for the wedding were complimented because they tasted great! In fact, I loved them so much, a year and a half later I came back for our baby shower cake :D and plan on returning to them for all of our special occasions. -

This is our go to cake place! They have done our wedding, baby shower, my best friend's bridal shower, and are now doing our daughter's 1st birthday party! Their service is great, everyone that works there is very helpful and sweet. They listen to your vision and have awesome ideas that add to it. They've always done what they said they were going to do, always on time, very flexible, and always answer any questions in a timely manner plus their cakes taste delicious. Never had a problem with them- highly recommend to all.

My husband and I had a list of vendors to choose from on our vendor approved list and I was very worried about finding the right vendors that not only understood but embraced our vision for our wedding. My daughter's wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and the taste was outstanding. There on time delivery was excellent and they were extremely helpful in helping us pick our flavors and designs for the cake. I would definitely use them again for my next event -

We found this bakery while at a wedding expo at the Mission Inn. They had by far the best tasting cake (and that's saying something because there were other outstanding bakeries there as well). However, we really put them to the test when we described what kind of cake we wanted from them. We had an Alice in Wonderland theme, and this required them to produce a unique "Mad Hatter-ish" cake that would be suitable for a wedding. During our consultation, we described what we were looking for. The baker, Jennifer, drew up a sketch of what she envisioned for our wedding. We loved her ideas, and we were wondering if she could really pull it off.
After we left the consultation, we didn't have to worry about the cake again until the day of the wedding. Truthfully, in all the hectic details of preparing for a wedding, we had almost forgotten to check back in with the bakery to make sure everything was going well. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is when a vendor is on top of the ball without any additional oversight. Sure enough, they had it covered and the cake showed up on our wedding day on time. Man, I wish I could leave a photo of the cake they made. It was the talk of the wedding. It was absolutely phenomenal, and worth every penny. We both highly recommend Simply Cakes. They will deliver a high quality product that is affordable, creative, tastes delicious and will be a stunning focal point of your reception. -

My husband and I chose Simply Cakes to make our wedding cake because they were professional, they were knowledgeable, and gave my husband and I the best customer service. Every penny is worth it because you know that you will get your cake just how asked for it on the specific day. We were both clueless when it came to ordering a cake and they were so good to us, answered our questions (as silly as they could be) before, during and after the wedding. We ordered a buttercream, vanilla cake with raspberry filling and let me tell you, our guests and us loved it. The cake was delivered on time and was set up for us at the venue. So, that was one thing I did not have to worry about. I love their service and most definitely be back for more cakes for future occasions. -

Simply Cakes took our vision for our Wedding Cake and brought it to reality. The moment Cody and I say our cake in the Grand Parisian Ballroom at the Mission Inn, we knew that there was no other cake that could compare to the cake that stood on the stage of the Ballroom. Not only did our cake look gorgeous, but it tasted AMAZING. We were able to do 4 layers, each with a different flavor cake and different filling. We were able to incorporate all our favorite flavors into one creation. Simply Cakes was so professional and very attentive to what we were looking for in our cake. They also answered the phone and emails within a few hours. I would recommend Simply Cakes for any and all occasions. Thank you again! -

Simply Cakes Etc... Bakery was the only bake shop I went to. The rating was great for them. I went in and showed a picture of what I was thinking for my wedding cake and they promised me that they could do it. They also were able to make a cute cake topper with the letters for me (one less thing to stress about). We went for a cake testing, which was great, and decided on flavors. They offer a delivery service to locations (another thing to not have to stress about) which was great. My wedding cake was perfect and everything I asked for. Thanks Simply Cakes! -

This vendor was delightful to work with. Definitely do the tasting. It gives you an idea of their talent. They are open to ideas and very flexible. We wanted an airplane for the cake topper so Jennifer suggested some ideas. Then, I realized that my girlfriend from Canada could do this. They encouraged me to have my friend contact Jennifer if she had any questions. Simply Cakes allowed my friend to drop the topper off at the bakery....then Simply Cakes delivered the entire cake to the Mission Inn. The cake was a hit with no left overs. -

First of all they have the most delicious cakes out there! Our three layer wedding cake was not only visually beautiful but a culinary experience! It even tasted great decoratively smothered on my nose! :) Each tier was a different flavor, not the boring vanilla or marble or chocolate cakes either - it was pineapple, raspberry, & lemon!

We found Simply Cakes in the Mission Inn Vendor list. At our cake tasting appointment they were very helpful. We fell in love with the Strawberry flavor cake with the Blueberry Bavarian Creme filling and Butter Creme icing. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Our guest loved the cake and said that was the best they have ever tasted and it was different and original. I recommend this mix together on your special day. Everyone will be talking about it and you will forever remember. Just yesterday, I went back to Simply Cakes and ordered my daughter's birthday cake with the Strawberry flavor cake and Blueberry Bavarian Creme filing.

Simply Cakes did a phenomenal job on my three tiered wedding cake. I had my consultation with Jennifer and she was amazing, she was informative, professional and extremely friendly. She helped me create a custom design that was beautiful and perfect for my guest count. My cake was gorgeous and most importantly is was out of this world delicious, we went with Lemon cake with raspberry filling and chocolate cake with Bavarian filling. Our guests loved it and so did we! They also provided the cutest bride and groom cupcakes as a gift on our sweetheart table, such a sweet gesture. Very professional, and very helpful! We were going to buy a cake topper through Etsy, but the associate suggested we get one made for us by their people because it would take too long to ship. I can't say enough good things about Simply Cakes! Jenn and Gregg's vision and creativity are simply the best. They took our theme and created three unique concept designs that absolutely knocked our socks off! The finished product on our wedding day, far exceeded my greatest expectations! Our wedding's theme was an old school citrus design with crates, unique labels, and actual oranges. The cake Simply Cakes designed incorporated an edible citrus crate, edible labels, oranges and delicate handmade orange blossoms. The cake was one of the highlights of my evening and all our guests were surprised when we cut into the crate. And the cake! That was the tastiest, most moist wedding cake I've ever had! All our guests commented about it even months after our wedding. Thank you Gregg, Jenn, and team for contributing such a wonderful centerpiece to our big day! -

My wife and I were shopping around Riverside and Corona for our wedding cake. We tried a few other shops before we found simply cakes. The other spots had dry, tasteless cakes. Our first visit to simply cakes was our last one. Both Greg and Jen were lifesavers in helping us out putting together one beautiful cake that the everyone enjoyed and went back for seconds and thirds. Be prepared when you sample their cakes every filling was amazing (raspberry was the keeper). The cake was delivered and set up picture perfect. No issues and both owners provided outstanding customer service! -

We ended up going through Simply Cakes because they were a preferred vender through The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside. When we went to the cake tasting the service was sub par and the cakes were okay so I was a little skeptical at first. We ordered that day (Red Velvet) 4 tier wedding cake. Once our big day came and I saw our cake it was beyond what I could have imagined! It was exactly the design I wanted and looked like a million bucks! Next, was the taste test. During our cake cutting he fed me a piece of our wedding cake and I just grabbed a fork and continued to eat it! It was SOOOOO moist and delicious! Our guests personally came up to us during the wedding and said that that was the most moist and delicious cake they have ever had at a wedding! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! -

We chose Simply Cakes, etc....Bakery for our recent wedding after reading rave reviews on WeddingWire and tasting their cake at the Mission Inn wedding showcase. Everything was absolutely perfect from the initial cake tasting, to the cake design consultation with Gregg, to the delivery of our INCREDIBLE cake. The cake was absolutely delicious and there's a good proportion between cake, icing, and filling. If you are looking for professionalism and great service then I would recommend Simply Cakes, etc...Bakery ANY DAY! It is flawless work! Thank you again. -

We first came across Simply Cakes on the preferred vendors list for the Mission Inn. The cake tasting was awesome, so many options to chose from. We went with the blueberry swirl... Absolutely amazing! Since then we continue to return for our anniversary cakes. We continue to explore various different flavors/options and are never disappointed. We recently ordered a baptism cake for my daughter and I cannot wait to see the final product. Simply Cakes never disappoints. The customer service is amazing. If you want a stress free wedding day, I highly recommend Simply Cakes! -

From the first phone call Jennifer took the time to thoroughly understand my vision, to make wonderful suggestions and to work with my budget. The cake and fillings are superb ,the warmth and feel of the bakery is second to none and the follow up of all my questions was spot on.

Simply Cakes was simply amazing! We had our wedding at the Riverside Mission Inn and once I spoke to them they literally took care of everything without any trouble or extra work for the stressed out bride (me!). Being in Canada I was unable to see or taste samples and yet they created the perfect cake as per my requests and it tasted delicious!! Everyone LOVED it!!
They even went above and beyond where I had mailed down the ribbon I wanted on the cakes and the bridesmaid bouquets. They cut the amount required and then delivered the remaining ribbon to the florist for me.
Great vendor! Highly recommended by me and my 114 guests! -

Simply Cakes went above and beyond. Our cake had an anatomically correct bloody heart on top of a three tiered white cake with Red velvet inside. The blood drips and everything about it looked realistic and gorgeously gorey. We were very satisfied with the outcome. Their team is very accommodating and creative. -

Simply Cakes created the perfect cake for us! We made our appointment to taste and select a style and after looking through 3 or 4 books of photos we still couldn't find what we were looking for. My husband and I love sprinkles and really wanted a cake with layers covered in sprinkles. We found some photos online and Simply Cakes said they would try it... it turned out amazing! We originally didn't want a cake topper, but at the last minute added a Mickey & Minnie and it was the perfect finishing touch (and Simply Cakes was great about the last minute change!).
We tasted all their flavors and chose a traditional white cake with the vanilla buttercream and it was so yummy. Wedding cake can be sort of dry sometimes, but not this cake! We had multiple compliments from our guests, and I've told everyone about Simply Cakes! -

Our wedding cake was amazing! We were able to make an appointment very easily, and sampled the many options for our wedding cake. There were so many! We chose a vanilla cake with blueberry filling, marble cake with chocolate filling, and our topper was chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse. I tried all three on our wedding day and they were so delicious! Even though the design on our cake was simple (stucco), they got it perfectly! Considering how crazy the cost of things can get, the quality and cost of our cake was very affordable! I would definitely recommend! -

They will work with your budget and is very honest about what will work and what won't. They made my cake look exactly like the picture i brought in. I loved my cake and and even have gone back to get my daughter first birthday cake done there and will continue going back year after year. Jennifer was fantastic!!!! We booked the tasting, and tried a few flavors, our favorite was chocolate with cherry filling. Cake was really moist and delicious. Only bummer was flavors to actually try are very limited to what they make that day. Then we chatted a bit about our theme and ideas. They kept in touch over several months and our cake was stunning. It was seriously amazing, it stole the show, everyone at the wedding loved it. We did a traditional white three tier adorned with a bow on top of a vintage suitcase (which was actually cake too)! We had enough cake to serve to guests at wedding and then our family party the next day, and it tasted great the day after as well. Many compliments still to this day. I would totally recommend them (Simply Cakes also did my Marie Antoinette theme bridal shower cake which was beautiful and also got many compliments). Thank You Jennifer and Team, so glad we chose you, our cake was perfect! -

My Simply Cakes wedding cake was so pretty and precisely what I ordered two weeks b4 my wedding (our private ceremony unintentionally blossomed into a reception with 30 guests). It was delicious, too! And let me tell you -- my niece makes wedding cakes for people sometimes -- and I know she could not have made this one for this price. Simply Cakes gave me a great price! They are artists there, gracious and kind people.
Great customer service, got all the help and advice I needed. They accommodated me in every way. They make gorgeous cakes. So creative. Their expertise is unmatched, if you ask me. I heard some of the phone calls they were getting - brides ordering and cancelling cake orders a year in advance -- but they seem to manage to get orders out the door with few, if any, complaints. Extremely professional. -

I have been a customer of Simply Cakes for several years, so when my wedding came around, there was no doubt they would be the bakery I would select for such a special day.
From the moment I went in and met with Gregg and Richard I knew I had made the rigt choice. They took every little detail from my wedding and transformed it into the most amazing, beautiful wedding cake that tied it all together!
When I saw my cake the day of the wedding, I couldn't believe what a great job they had done, but it was no surprise given I have never ever been disappointed with their work. Everyone at my wedding couldn't stop talking about what an amazing cake I had and on top of it the cake was delicious! I could not get enough of it and neither could my guest.
I will forever be grateful for the wonderful cake Simply Cakes created for me! It was a one of a kind design that took my theme, my invitation and my dress and turned it a dream come true. Thank you for creating this wonderful memory and most of all for working with me on such a short notice. When it comes to impeccable customer service, attention to detail, stunning cake creations, and yummy, melt in your mouth flavors, Simply Cakes Etc is the way to go. Since the first visit I had to pick out my wedding cake, Jenn was so accommodating, helpful, and sincerely made me feel as though my wedding was a high priority. By the time I got married earlier this month, I knew I had NOTHING to worry about in that department. For a busy bride, that meant SO much! My cake was not only beautiful, but pretty darn tasty too! It was thoroughly loved by my guests as well.

This place is awesome. Working with Jennifer was great. The cake was delicious. I liked them so much that I use them for all my events. They are so creative, they can make anything you want. Want a great cake, use them. -

My Family uses Simply Cakes for all our Wedding, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Ect... They are so easy to work with and will help you design exactly what you are looking for. They are very helpful with ideas, and will not rush you at all when trying to make a decision The cakes are so wonderful and alway moist. We have had just about every flavor / filling, and everyone at all the events always say how wonderful the cakes tastes. We will continue to use them for all our desert needs for all our upcoming events. -

I love simply cakes! My wedding was July 9th and I was Soo excited that my mother in law told me about them. I first met them at a vendor event. Richard was my cake designer and he gave out Soo many ideas for my Gatsby glamour theme wedding. I had three cakes done by them for the wedding day and I trusted them to do basically what they want( with the help of my theme colors and feathers). My mother loved them Soo Much she got a surprised cigar cake done for my husband. They are by far the best cake place in riverside and reasonable. Thank you for everything simplycake staff. I will use you for our kids birthday parties, our b day parties, annaversaries basically everything. Love you guys -

I wasn't crazy picky about everything at my wedding... except for the cake. I knew that I wanted a real cake (as in, it had to be something I wanted to eat and not purely decorative) and I wanted it to be really simple and chic. I was organizing the wedding long-distance through my mom (who lives in Riverside), and so things got somewhat complicated at times. The cake I chose was just a simple three-layer cake with strawberry, lemon, and chocolate marble on different layers with a simple buttercream frosting. I have to say that it was some of the best wedding cake I've ever had and it looked perfect. I would most definitely recommend Simply Cakes to anyone looking into a great wedding cake that you'll look forward to eating. -

Our cake was wedding cake was gorgeous but didn't taste the greatest. Their cakes are usually REALLY good so it may have been something weird about it. Other than the okay taste everything was great! -

Our wedding cake was beautiful...and made exactly as requested. Simply Cakes rented us the cake stand, which worked well with our venue. The flavor we ordered was chocolate raspberry, and my piece was slightly, but not offensively, dry. Overall, my guests said they enjoyed it. I appreciated Simply Cake's flexibility when we needed to make a last minute change. I would recommend this business to a friend. -
