Sarah and Mel were hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. From the very first moment of our cross-country phone call, they made us comfortable, confident, and even more hyped for our wedding. They had excellent communication throughout the entire process and are unbelievably talented, friendly, and kind people.
We love the way they incorporate nature and natural light into their work and their classic, timeless style. Their thoughtful choices and great eye for detail translated into incredible engagement and wedding pictures. They helped us choose a beautiful place for our engagement pictures that showcased our interests and personalities.
During the wedding, they got some amazing candids as well as stunning formal (but not fussy) traditional portraits. They give great posing advice and all our photos felt natural and beautiful. They were also willing to go the extra mile to make sure they got the attention of our stubborn ring bearer (our dog 😂). They are fantastic with kids, dogs, and adults and were a joy to work with from start to finish. We will definitely look forward to future family portraits with them!Simplicity Photography's reply:

10/10 Amazing Photography
Simplicity Photography is the best photography service you can book in the 518 for a wedding. Their knowledge and creativity truly shine through and make the day even more special. We had an outdoor wedding, and the lighting and backdrops they chose on the property were breathtaking. My husband and I can’t thank them enough for their incredible work and for how beautiful the photos turned out. It’s truly a day we will never forget. From the moment we had a phone consultation to the time they gave us our final product, Melanie and Sarah were kind and professional. They were discreet during the wedding ceremony and managed to take amazingly beautiful photos at the church as well as at the reception. The venue for the reception was a little on the dark side, which I was concerned about. But the pictures were breathtaking--you wouldn't even know that the reception hall had very low lighting because the pictures were all clear and frankly stunning.
Melanie and Sarah were great with giving direction during portraits with our families, as well as just the shots of me and my husband. They are very reasonably priced and offer numerous packing options. The turn around time to getting our editing photos was quicker than we expected as well. Overall, I would absolutely recommend them and plan to use them again if/when I have other occasions to need professional photographers.Simplicity Photography's reply:

Melanie and Sarah were fantastic to work with. They both were very professional and thoughtful. When it came time to capture special photos, they helped with us ideas for those once in a lifetime moments we wanted to capture. They both were able to pose us where we needed to be and capture multiple different angles so we would have unforgettable memories. Having both Melanie and Sarah, they were able to get bride getting ready photos and groom getting ready photos at the same time. We had a small wedding with only 20 people. Sarah took not only beautiful photos of us as the couple, our rings, bouquet, and food smorgasbord, but was very patient taking individual family photos for us. We cherish our family and have three elderly parents that we are happy to have on this planet each and everyday. I am grateful to have captured these images to keep forever. I am going to frame these and give them as Christmas gifts.

I am a pretty type-A bride with a big family that made up our wedding party. Melanie & Sarah were experts from the start. We had a few calls with them ahead of the wedding and shared the style and locations that were important to us. They came to our wedding ready to go. They clearly did the homework necessary to refresh themselves on the style I described to them, and when on-site, they were professional, excitable, and fun with a big group! We got a few previews about 24 hours after the wedding and I'm already crying over them and how good they are! Looking forward to seeing so much more from them!Simplicity Photography's reply:

Better than we could’ve hoped
Melanie and Sarah did such a great job throughout the entirety of the event. From start to finish they not only got great photos but helped the day run smoothly. They were truly there for the bride and groom and weren’t afraid to speak up when they needed to to get the right picture. They gave great direction without being bossy and were so personable and down to earth. My husband was nervous saying he didn’t know how to pose and he is usually uncomfortable for pictures. They were able to direct him perfectly. They are experienced, professional, friendly sisters that went above and beyond for our day. If I could do it all over again I would definitely choose them for our photography needs. We even got compliments from friends and family about how nice and helpful they were. Melanie and Sarah were absolutely wonderful! It was great having them start before the ceremony so Melanie captured the men and Sarah captured the women. This helped save us time for the photoshoot after the ceremony. Also helped with the wedding jitters as well. When we took our our photoshoot after the ceremony they did a great job of posing us and getting the most beautiful moments! I cried when I saw the first four photos they were absolutely beautiful. Genuinely cannot recommend Sarah and Melanie any higher. We met them at our wedding venue weeks in advance to scope out good spots for photos, AND they even came to a second location for first looks! The photos are absolutely stunning, they make the process So easy even for those who don’t enjoy being in front of a camera, and they’re just honestly the nicest people! Amazing Elopement
Sarah and Melanie made our COVID-19 elopement feel so special and were so great to work with! They work together beautifully, helping each other with lighting/props/ideas, and our photos came out absolutely stunning- we got so many complements and people asking who our photographer was. You can tell they really care about getting you great photos, and they will actually readjust and direct you to make it happen. I’m so happy we were able to find Sarah and Melanie! They were extremely flexible with meeting us at our venue ahead of time to get ideas for the big day! They stayed in contact and were very attentive to the pictures that were important for us to get. When the big day came there professionalism came through and they battled the heat and traffic to get the shots they thought were perfect. Melanie and Sarah were amazing to have as photographers on our wedding day! They met with us in advance to see the layout of the building and the outdoor ceremony area. They even went down to the park across the street with us to see about photo opportunities there (even though it involved some exploring!). They were always willing to answer all of our questions by email or phone.
The day of the wedding, they arrived over an hour early to get the first look and wedding party photos before the ceremony and reception. They worked with our list of family photos throughout cocktail hour, and captured so many great moments during the reception. Despite neither of us being particularly "photogenic", we felt at ease with Melanie and Sarah and were able to feel like and be ourselves.
We have so many photos and memories of our wedding day and we couldn't ask for anything more. I would highly recommend Simplicity Photography!Simplicity Photography's reply:

As experienced professionals they were able to explain every step of the wedding timeline, gave helpful advice and were an integral part of keeping our wedding day on schedule. Having two photographers is a huge advantage to capture both bride and groom getting ready and providing two different vantage points for candid photos throughout the night. -

We were referred to Melanie and Sarah by a family friend and it was such a good recommendation for our small wedding. They were so flexible and offered such great advice when we decided to rely on their expertise when we were unsure how things would work. Having photographers who are sisters was so nice at our wedding which was just our families.
The photos came out beautiful and the flash drive and even package it was mailed in were as well!
The one drawback was several of our couple portraits we wish they had pointed out my husband's tie was askew or other tiny details that would have been such quick fixes.
Overall an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend Sarah and Melanie to anyone getting married in the area! -
