We are from Dallas and came to Destin on a vacation and just fell in love with the white sand and the beautiful water, we just knew this was the place plus the thought of a destination wedding was very exciting and wanted to escape the stress and drama of a home-town wedding, and our day was relaxed and easy and stress-free - exactly how we wanted it!
We are so happy that our wedding was a perfect day thanks to YOU! Everything was coordinated and arranged seamlessly so that we had absolutely nothing to worry about...every question or request was met with "Don't worry about a thing, not a problem" and that's exactly how it was.
We loved the flowers and the setup of the venue, it match everything we had talked about.
It was a day we will never forget, thank you so much Lynn and best wishes for continued success, will certainly recommend you to anyone we see.

Lynn was an amazing Wedding Planner! I had not 1 worry. She thought ahead and always kept my ideas of what I wanted ahead of all others!

Lynn did a fantastic job on the single most happiest day of my life! The joy that she brought to me and my new husband can not even properly be expressed in words. I have recommended her to all of my family and friends and several of them plan to use her for their special day after they saw the splendor of my luxurious wedding! If you want a wedding planner who will help you to have a fabulous, stress-free wedding day , go with Lynn!!!

I could not imagine my wedding being so stress free and beautiful, until I met Lynn. She made the whole planning experience so much easier and fun. She completely streamlined and managed my whole event from the flowers which were out of this world to bringing my ideas to life. I would not have been able to do half of what Lynn did with out her amazing help.

What a pleasure it was to have Lynn plan my daughters wedding. I live in California and work made it impossible for me to travel back and forth. From the moment I met with Lynn I was immediately at ease. She handled everything for us. Setup my daughters website, handled all the rsvp's, made hotel arrangements and so much more!
I can't imagine what it would have been like if we had not had her to make the wedding so special.

Lynn is so great to work with. She listens to you and what you want. She has everything you need to plan the perfect event and at a great rate! We love her! By the end of it all she wasn't my wedding planner she was my family.

My oldest daughter got married this past Friday, and her wedding was amazing thanks to Lynn Brown! We expected everything to be "nice", but "nice" just doesn't cut it. Everything exceeded our expectations! I have never seen someone work as hard as she did that day, making sure everything was exactly the way my daughter wanted it. I cannot imagine how it would have turned out had we opted to handle everything ourselves. She added so many of her own little special touches that made the difference, ideas that we would have never thought of ourselves. She really has a gift with what she does, definitely in the right profession. Thank you so much Lynn!

Lynn was absolutely amazing! She took care of EVERYTHING from start to finish, and there is no way my wedding would have turned out as perfect as it did without her. Initially, I was planning my wedding on my own until I realized just how stressful it was. When I came to my senses and decided that I was going to hire someone to coordinate my wedding, I chose Lynn. That was the best decision I could have made! She lifted all of that stress right off of my shoulders and made me see the light at the end of the tunnel. The flowers, the decor, the set up of the reception room, the food, it was all so perfect! Each and every one of my guests raved about how delicious the food was, and how beautifully decorated the room was and so forth. I will be forever grateful for her going the extra mile and making our wedding day so special! I would recommend her to any bride, hands down. The name fits, she truly does an exceptional job!

We had our wedding on the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner! Very professional and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything went perfectly! The wedding was more than I dreamed of...So glad we used Exceptional Florida Weddings!

I had the opportunity to work with Lynn for a wedding last month. I was truly impressed by the way she handled everything from the ceremony to the reception. She always conducts herself in a professional manner and communicates well with each of her clients. She keeps open communication with all clients to ensure their wants/needs are satisfied . Our floral arrangements were exquisite because of their simple elegance. I provided our color scheme and favorite flowers, and Lynne took care of the rest. I am admittedly very fussy about things having the right look and balance. She exceeded my expectations.

Ms. Lynn held up her end of the contract and did everything beautifully. Having gone through the whole process and on the other side (MARRIED!) I am very pleased. My only critique would be her lack of communication prior to the event. I often wondered if she was understanding what I was picturing. Clearly she was, as everything came out great. However, it was a source of some stress as she was difficult to get in touch with. I suppose she always had it all under control as she does wedding all the time & I was just a worried bride to be.

Quality of Service- the only reason there was even 3.5 stars is because of the photography. Jamie was flexible with the shots we wanted and was willing to work from a list I put together.
Responsiveness- Initially the responsiveness from Lynn was really fast and my questions were always answered. However, once I signed the contract, the communication and responsiveness decreased.
Professionalism- Lynn was unprofessional on multiple accounts. She spoke behind her temporary workers backs which took up 3/4 of any meetings you had scheduled with her. Jamie was very professional during all photography events.
Value- While I initially believed that I was receiving this unbelievable deal on planning, the use of the decor, tables, chairs, set up and take down; I realize that I spent more time planning the event and making, researching and purchasing the decor items. The amount of money spent on decor that I was told was already in inventory (which it was not) was an additional $1000 or more. These costs were not discussed, no were they expected on my part.
Flexibility- Lynn made herself available, but her lack of communication and response time reduced her flexibility.

Lynn and Jamie were both wonderful people to work with because they truly love working with brides. However, a shift in focus for the event planning portion would be beneficial as it was obvious the service to the brides was not what it used to be.

I am thankful that our wedding turned out beautiful, but the increased stress on me immediately prior to the wedding was unnecessary and required me to become aggressive in order to get things accomplished, but it all turned out well.

Under no circumstances should you use Lynn for services, unless you enjoy losing money and not having communication with a service provider. I contacted Lynn right after I got engaged in 2016 to talk to her about some options for my wedding, mostly wanting details on decor rentals. Initially she was responsive - because she didn't have my business yet. It took almost 3 months to nail down a proposal, which I had decided to only utilize her for table decorations. Once I paid her in full in January 2017, responses became extremely sparse, delayed, and she never fully answered the questions I had, which prompted continued follow up. As of the date of this review, I have not heard from her since April 2017. I have emailed, called, Facebook message, all of which I have yet to receive a reply. She no longer is operating under Simple Elegant Affairs, but has a new business in Orange Beach, AL called Bayside Elegance, so don't be fooled by the name change. She has been kicked out of establishments in NW Florida because of her poor services as lack of payment to those establishments. I also had a friend use her for their wedding, and she ended up taking all unopened bottles of wine/beer and returning them, and kept the money for herself, as well as not providing half of the services promised in their contract. Her husband, Jamie, who is her "photographer", is mediocre at best, so she will try to "bundle for a deal" just to rip you off on the backend later. Do NOT use this woman. EVER! Notice, she will respond to any negative feedback (see other recent reviews), but I highly doubt and don't anticipate a call with any type of apology, offer for better communication/services, or any type of resolution to this issue.

Do not let her "professionalism" fool you. She never had the decency to respond to our emails, hence why there is any dialogue here. I have called and spoken to the county and they are adamant that there is NO ONE that can obtain a marriage license other than the couple themselves so who knows the legitimacy of the licenses that she provides. If what she is saying is true, the county is completely unaware of any wedding planner having the privileges to obtain a marriage license for a couple or by mail.
The envelope with the check to our DJ was postmarked almost 2 weeks after she claimed to have mailed it. She was dishonest directly to us in stating "I mailed it at least 2 weeks ago" when in fact it had only been mailed 4 days prior.
The only thing that overwhelmed me was her lack of urgency and horrible communication. After 12 weeks of working with her, she only provided us quotes for services, we never had any finite details. I gave her plenty of time to get plans in place and unfortunately she did not deliver.
She blames Christmas break on the fact that the vendors did not reach out to us. However, after meeting her December 3rd, she never told us people would be away at all, let alone all month (which I highly doubt they were). She only provided us dates of their return after we had requested it because it had been an entire month with no communication. Conveniently, she used the holidays as the reason why we hadn't heard from anyone however after personally reaching out to the Officiant, I come to find that he was never given our contact information (despite her telling me twice she had given it to him).
Professionalism is good communication, honesty, meeting deadlines, following up on things that are supposed to be addressed, acknowledging if information will be late, responding to correspondences, etc. Unfortunately, we did not see any professionalism here and because of it we are out $2900.

We were extremely unhappy with Lynn Brown. We met with her for catering, her prices were way over priced, we never received a taste test. She offered a lady she knows to give us a cake taste test, we were supposed to get the flavors we were wanting, we got 1 out of 3. She was going on vacation two weeks after we met, yet she had plenty of time to provide us with a taste test and did not do so. We even offered to go to Crestview to make it easier on her, which was an hour drive for us. The day we met with her our decorator was with us, we explained items we would be using, she said she had recently purchased some lanterns. We asked her to send us pictures and sizes so we would know if they were what we were needing. She stated we better pay for the rental right then so no one would rent them before we could. It was several weeks and many requests before we received the pictures of the lanterns. We were only a couple weeks from wedding date so we had to make alternative arrangements. I asked Lynn 5 separate times for a refund for this rental of $266, she said we were too close to wedding date and under a contract. The venue was great thanks to Tanner Foster who made sure of this and all the friends we had helping us said he was most helpful. I would not recommend Lynn at all due to her not refunding money on items unused and was made very clear weeks before the wedding we were not going to use them since we had to make alternative arrangements not knowing what her decorations looked like. To top it off she had to be the coordinator and be at the ceremony since from meeting one we had to reserve that with her also, we did not want her there but had no choice. Do not pay her in advance, you will not receive a refund for anything and she is super slow on requests.
