Fabolous Cake
Simma’s made our wedding cake, and it was absolutely delicious! Every guest loved it, and we’ve been getting so many compliments about how amazing it was. We can’t wait to cut into the top tier for our anniversary and enjoy it all over again.

Dream Wedding Cake - Tasty, Beautiful, and Unique to Us!
Simma's created our dream 5-tier wedding cake! We had a wonderful time doing the tasting with Peggy and picked the genoise cake with fresh strawberries and white chocolate ganache. One of our guests who is with the Food Network commented specifically on how amazing our cake was. On top of the taste, it was BEAUTIFUL! We had alternating gold foil and white swiss dot tiers, and our florist was able to add fresh flowers to the top and bottom. We'll add a photo to this review when we have our professional photos back. The love that Peggy has for her cakes and her wedding couples is unmatched. Thank you Peggy and Simma's!

We had an incredible experience with Simma’s Bakery for our wedding cake! Peggy was an absolute joy to work with — kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life. From the cake tasting (which was such a fun and delicious experience!) to the big day itself, everything was seamless. The cake looked beautiful and tasted even better. Our guests are still talking about how much they loved it — truly one of the highlights of the reception. Best Cake Ever
Simma's is my favorite bakery so I knew I needed to have them make our cake for the wedding. We did a tasting with them and that experience was amazing. Everything we tasted was delicious. Our wedding cake was so yummy and decorated just how we wanted. Everyone complimented how good our cake was. I would definitely recommend using Simma's Bakery for your wedding cake.

So Amazing!
Simmas is a family favorite on my husbands side as he is from Milwaukee so he insisted that’s where we got our cake and it was the best choice! Our guests were going back for seconds and we were able to take some to our work friends that didn’t attend the wedding and they kept saying “this is the best cheesecake I’ve ever had” aside from taste Simmas was so easy to work with as we were coming in from out of town and they made it as simple as possible for us. I would recommend to anyone in Milwaukee or surrounding areas.

Absolutely delicious and gorgeous wedding cake!
We were SO happy with the wedding cake we ordered from Simma's Bakery! We went with a two-tier round cake plus a couple sheet cakes for a reception of ~100 guests. It was so, so delicious! The raspberry filling with the mix of vanilla and chocolate layers was yummy... plus, the buttercream frosting is rich but oh so tasty! I was able to send a couple pictures of design ideas, and the final product turned out perfect. Looking forward to going back for our anniversary cake next year. :)

Delicious Cake!
We got married at The Ivy House on April 16, 2022. We did popsicles as a dessert for our guests, but we still wanted a traditional cake for ourselves and our wedding party. Simma’s is our favorite bakery in the area, so this was a no-brainer when we decided on having a cake. We went in for a tasting which answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful to the process. It was pretty hard to narrow it down to one flavor, but we eventually agreed on a delicious combination!
We did a two-tier cake with fresh strawberries inside and blue painted decor to match our wedding colors. The cake arrived on time and in perfect condition. Everyone said it was delicious! We decided to save the top part and freeze it so we can enjoy it on our year anniversary. I can’t wait to eat more of it! Simma’s has a huge variety of flavors and options. You will not be disappointed in whatever you order from them! Best desserts around!

Excellent Cake
I tend to be very picky when it comes to desserts because I do a lot of baking, but Simma's blew me away with how delicious the cake was. We picked a poppyseed cake with a lemon filling, and the cake was so moist and flavorful, with the smoothest buttercream I've ever had. I got so many compliments on my choice of cake and I would highly recommend Simma's to others!

Great service, even better cheesecake!
I'm from St. Louis and hired Simma's without even having the opportunity for a tasting. So many great reviews cannot be wrong. We had a small wedding in Milwaukee in August 2021, and had hands down, the best cheesecake of our lives. I could not have possibly been happier with the outcome and the price was so reasonable, especially for something like cheesecake.

A lot has happened for all of us over the last 16 months and knowing your vendors were being flexible was what helped us get through the stress of the pandemic. The owner is the sweetest person. She took time to ensure we felt at ease and were getting what we wanted out of our vision. But most importantly, Simmas cakes are so good!! When we got engaged, I knew I had to have a Simma's cake at our wedding. Simma's cake is truly the best; no other cake tastes just as good days later as it did on the first day you had the cake! Truly, my most favorite cake. We ordered a multi-tiered cake with chocolate and white cake with chocolate mousse filling. The bridal show special was a free cake stand rental which saved us $50!

When you have your guests ask the servers for more cake after they ate the first piece, I think that says it all! It was one of the best cakes we have ever had.
We chose to create our own cake with cream cheese and a layered raspberry filling and it was a huge hit!
the professionalism and creativity this bakery has is out of this world. No wonder every time we went there the line was out the door!

We got to test their cake. You get 4 choices when trying. We tried Carrot Cake, Red Velvet, Yellow Cake, and Chocolate cake. We went with The 2-tier Carrot Cake as it is the bride's favorite. The groom switched from Red Velvet to the yellow cake with strawberries between the layers. Best cake I've ever had! A little pricey, but well worth it.

Simma’s is amazing! We went there for a wedding cake tasting. We got to try four different cakes of our choice. The pricing is very reasonable and they did all the delivery even on a holiday. They were spot on when it came to how much we should buy. We didn’t have so much left over but also didn’t have too little for guests. We were able to change the design of the cake up to a month before the wedding. They exceeded my expectations and mimicked my Pinterest picture! Would definitely recommend Simma’s!

Delicious and Seasonal Wedding Desserts
I have been going to Simma's bakery since I was 2 years old for a cheesecake for my birthday. Now I am 26 years old and knew that I wouldn't have it any other way than using Simma's for my wedding bakery. I worked with Peggy and Chrissy to see my dreams unfold. They were available for multiple calls during the day and helped me late at night decide how to lay everything out on the dessert table. They let us try our desserts, and gave suggestions on switching out items to get our money's worth and give the guests a good product. We decided on a 2-tier cake with cheesecake on the bottom and a genoise cake with raspberry filling. This was surrounded on our dessert table with seasonal pies (blueberry, cherry, pumpkin, pecan chocolate chip), mini pecan tarts, and apple bars. Our guests were very impressed by the setup as well as the taste of everything. From start to finish I can say that have been beyond impressed with Simma's quality and helpful staff. I will be going to Simma's annually to get an anniversary dessert for sure.

Best Wedding Cake!
We hired Simma's to provide our wedding cake for our wedding on 10/19/2019. The entire process was so easy and the staff was very friendly. We did the cake tasting and decided on Four tiered layers alternating the original cheesecake and layers of cake with strawberry filling. We also ordered an extra sheet cake. The cake was delivered on time, and was beautifully decorated just as we had picked out. Every single one of our guests raved about how delicious the cake was. I would definitely highly recommend Simma's!

My wife and I had an amazing experience dealing with Simma's Bakery. We went with a hybrid approach to our wedding, with a smaller traditional wedding cake as well as a mini pastry bar, and Simma's provided both. From presentation and design to flavor, everything that Simma's did was commented on by our guests as extraordinary. By far the best cheesecake I've had (aside from my wife's, of course!) We would recommend Simma's to any couple looking for perfection on their wedding day!!!

This bakery has been a Milwaukee favorite for years. The bakery team was very helpful in selecting the cake and very flexible in creating a cake to our specifications, which was a little different (based on polish pottery). From the cake tasting to decorating to the day of, we received excellent service and of course the best tasting cake ever! My husband and I chose Simmas to supply our wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect. We chose an elegant all white 3 tiered wedding cake and then got sheet cakes for the remainder of guests. We went with something non-traditional, their famous cheesecake. My fiancé & I love their cheesecake – if you haven’t had it, it is a MUST TRY. We received so many compliments and had so many people tell us it was the best cake they had ever tasted. The delivery was prompt, the wedding cake looked beautiful. They are able to work with any budget. It was the best decision we could have ever made for our cake, highly recommend!!

Simma's has by far the BEST cupcakes around! They personalized a small cheese cake for our groom's cake and it looked just how we imagined it and the cupcakes were to die for. A lot of our guests asked where we got them so they could go get some for themselves or future parties. I will continue to spread the word about Simmas to everyone!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place than Simma’s to get our wedding cake from. We knew we wanted cheesecake and knew there was only one place to go. From the first appointment, to the final touches, they were a joy to work with. We had red velvet cheesecake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. AMAZING! We never had to worry that anything was going to go wrong with our cake because of who we picked. Would recommend to everyone!!

Simma's has amazing dessert and all of my guests were definitely happy with our choice of bakery. Our cheesecake was amazing and we can't wait to eat our anniversary cake in a little less than a year!
My only recommendation is to find out who will put the cupcakes out. I assumed Simma's would put the cupcakes out on the table that I had set for them however they did not and during dinner I had to request that my caterer put them out.

It was my daughter's Golden 15th birthday and we wanted to do something special. We ordered Simma's cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious. It's her favorite! They did a beautiful floral design tipped in gold that was that was over the top! All her friends loved it and made her birthday extra special. There is no cake and no supplier like Simmas. The tasting was a majical experience - they were generous with portions and had many pictures and samples to choose from. Our multi-tiered cake was more that beautiful and more important, was fresh and moist. We had their cheese cake decorated as a tuxedo for ouf grooms cake - this cake absolutely disappeared. Guests wanted one of each cake!!

My husband and I did a 4 tier gluten free cheesecake for our wedding on June 3rd. The cake was amazing! All of our guests loved the cake. We had guests say that they don't even like sweets, but this was the best thing that they ever tasted. Most of our guests were also surprised to find out that it was gluten free because it was so good! I recommend working with Simma's for your wedding cake. Delivery and set up was included in everything, you just need to return the cake plates and you get your deposit back! Very tasty!

The first time we tried Simmas was at my cousins wedding in 2013. Fast forward to 2015 we still remembered her cake and how delicious it was stacked up to the many weddings we had gone to. We ended up needing less cake than originally ordered so a week- 2 weeks prior they allowed us to down grade how much cake we needed with also getting a refund for that cake we didn't use. Book Simma's! We absolutely loved our cake, but when we started receiving questions at the wedding about what bakery we used, we knew we did it right! We chose the hazelnut buttercream cake for 160 people and it turned out wonderfully. The whole process was so efficient and easy. Simma's was great. We were able to taste cakes ahead of time, and the wedding specialist explained that the cool design we thought would be a nice touch was fondant and would therefore double the price of our cake. We opted for buttercream, as we are also doing a dessert bar offered by our venue. We were able to taste their marble cake (separate layers of chocolate and vanilla, it is not swirled together), carrot cake, cheesecake and the yellow cake. We chose the yellow cake with buttercream and raspberry filling, with buttercream icing. They did not try to oversell us extra cake, either, which I greatly appreciated. We ordered a 3 tiered cake that serves 45, and are expecting 90 at the reception.

This was the only bakery vendor we considered for our daughter's wedding. The reputation of Simma's - and our years of experience there as satisfied customers - reinforced our decision. There were 3 of us at the tasting (myself, my daughter, and her fiance). We and we felt very welcomed and were not rushed as we tried a half-dozen options before deciding upon the final choices. They tooks notes and made drawings as they listened to my daughter's ideas and viewed her Pinterest boards. The outcome was breathtaking - a 5-tier ivory buttercream genoise cake with ivory hobnail decor, circled with metallic gold fondant ribbons around the bottom of each layer. (Each layer was a different flavor with a contrasting filling). Simma's also collaborated with our florist to ensure that the fresh flowers would be the crowning glory. On the day of the wedding, there was no worry on our part as Simma's coordinated delivery and set up with our venue. As expected, guests raved about the cake -- especially those who had never tasted Simma's before. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

We didn't do any cake research because we already knew this was the best place to get a cake in the Milwaukee area. Simmas does a great job from the cake tasting to the finished product. We went with the vanilla cake with fresh strawberry and whipped cream filling and their cheesecake with buttercream frosting. We asked for a white on white design of mountains and trees then had the florist add flowers with a pair of ski boots as cake toppers, it turned out super and was super delicious which was commented on by many guests. The scroll work and colors were beautiful! I wish I could include a picture for everyone to see. Not only was it beautiful, but the taste...all of our guests commented and asked where we got our cake!! We are at that marrying age and are certainly recommending all of our friends to you guys!
