Wedding 9.14.2025
The Silverthorne Pavilion was a wonderful space to get married at. We had our ceremony at their outdoor space, and held the reception inside. Both spaces created an amazing atmosphere with the Blue River in the background and the sound of water nearby for the ceremony. We had 130 guests and the space was more than adequate for our guests. Everyone we met with, talked to and worked with, were extremely helpful with all our questions and needs during the process. Definitely a great space that we would highly recommend!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Hi Paul,
Thank you for this lovely review! It's wonderful to hear you and Abi enjoyed the venue and its surroundings, and that the beautiful outdoor setting contributed so positively to your experience.
Thank you again for your praise, and for hosting your special day with us at the Silverthorne Pavilion. It was great working with you! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness! -Shyanne, Pavilion Coordinator -

Wedding of our Dreams!
Our wedding was even better than we could have imagined at Silverthorne Pavilion. The setting is absolutely beautiful, we didn’t even have/ need decorations for the outdoor ceremony. The inside is the perfect set up with amazing Mountain vibes. They were responsive and made everything perfect. The day went seamlessly. I would 100% recommend Silverthorne pavilion to anyone who wants a beautiful mountain wedding. There are also so many affordable Airbnbs within walking distance which was very convenient for all guests.Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Hi Jamie,
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words and we are delighted you and Eric had such a special day. We agree, the riverside ceremony location is stunning and speaks for itself. :) I'm so happy to hear you loved the natural beauty of the venue.
It was wonderful working with you, and thank you for choosing the Silverthorne Pavilion for your destination mountain wedding!
Best wishes from all of us! -Shyanne, Pavilion Coordinator -

Perfect Venue for a Colorado Mountain Wedding
I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding (ceremony and reception) if you are looking for a reasonably priced venue with elegance and a rustic mountain vibe. Shyanne and her team were extremely easy to work with. They were very responsive and flexible throughout the planning process and extremely helpful with vendors and any decision changes we made. They give you 3 free planning sessions at the Pavilion and even have a centerpiece closet to use for free if you feel so inclined. The location was perfect for our out of town guests. There are plenty of hotels and airbnb's in the area, so much so that we did not even need to set up transportation. The guests raved about the bar tenders and their service and how awesome the venue was. It was perfect for an outdoor ceremony by the river, and cocktail hour on the patio with the fireplace, and indoor reception with tons of dancing, drinks, and good food. If you want a budget friendly, choose your own vendors, mountain wedding with accessibility- this is your place. We were so happy to have found the Silverthorne Pavilion and had the best day getting married up in the mountains!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Hi Kristen! Thanks for much for this amazing review! We are so glad you found value in our services and loved the Pavilion and surrounding area. Shyanne, I and the entire team enjoyed working with you and making your big day special. - Amy, Pavilion Coordinator -

Gorgeous Mountain Venue
We had the most amazing experience with the Silverthorne Pavilion! Our original venue fell through 6 months before the wedding, and we were so lucky the Pavilion had an opening for our weekend. It is the perfect venue for a mountain wedding, and we are so happy it is where we ended up celebrating. Amy, Shyanne, and Jill were great to work with through the entire planning process, and they kept the day running smoothly and helped make our day just what we wanted. Also, the bartenders were so fun and kept the party going for everyone. We would highly recommend the Pavilion for your wedding!!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

Amazing Wedding Experience!
We had an amazing experience with Silverthorne Pavilion! They were very accommodating, very patient with all of our questions and needs, and provided a beautiful area for us to use. They have a closet full of any extra wedding decor you may need. The building, outdoor fireplace seating area, and outdoor ceremony area were all very reasonably priced. The venue had natural beauty for all of the pictures we wanted to take (the bridge is one of the best places for newly wed pictures). I recommend this venue every time to engaged couples!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

Marriage in the Mountains
The venue is everything you need for a mountain wedding. They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space. Then a patio, amazing bar, and indoor area for the reception. The venue has a great planning staff to help make everything perfect, from planning out the arrangement of tables, providing lighting options, to discussing bar packages. When we looked at other venues this one stood out far above the rest. They are super organized and really know what you need to do for a wedding. Our wedding day went super smooth because of this venue being so perfect.Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Hi Kendra!
It was so great working with you and your entire family! Your wedding and reception were so gorgeous! We really appreciate your kind words about the Pavilion itself and our staff. We really do try to make you day as stress free as possible! - Amy, Pavilion Coordinator -

So flexible and detail oriented!
We used the pavilion for our wedding “get ready spot” and reception. The team at the pavilion is seriously the best! They helped us every step of the way to iron out details and make sure everything went to plan. They worked closely with our vendors and day of coordinator so we didn’t have to worry about anything day of. Not to mention the venue is stunning and in an amazing location! Would have our wedding here again and again! Very affordable for the quality and location as well.-

Amazing Wedding Venue
We had our wedding here on August 17th and we loved every moment. The staff was communicative during the planning process and made it so simple and easy. We never had to worry or question anything. The day went so smoothly and everything was just how we planned with them. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone, the outside riverside ceremony spot is incredibly beautiful and perfect for a mountain wedding. We thought our wedding was perfect here!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

Great Venue with Fantastic Service
The Silverthorne Pavilion was the perfect wedding location for our event. The staff leading up to, during, and after were professional and clear with everything involved. We had many guests show amazement at how well the services at the bar were rendered. We cannot recommend this venue enough, and much like the vendors that helped the day go off without a single problem it was a perfect fit.Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

Ski Wedding Reception
I cannot say enough good things about the Silverthorne Pavilion as a place to host wedding receptions and similar events. My husband and I had a mid-range budget for our Arapahoe Basin Ski / Snowboard Wedding, which meant that after hiring photographers, DJ's, catering, and all the rest, there was not a ton left over for decorations and extra frills for the reception venue...The Pavilion took all the worry out of that as it is gorgeous on its own, plus they had many affordable add-on items, plus complimentary table decorations to pull everything together. Drink service was also extremely affordable and convenient, and all of our guests had nothing but compliments for the bartenders and drinks included in our package. All managers and staff we worked with were incredibly accommodating, and they worked in perfect sync with our planner and other vendors - Laura Pearson (planner), Black Diamond Catering, and Hampton Entertainment (DJ) who were all more than excellent in their own right. This was a destination wedding booked and planned from the east coast, making the pre-planning and execution all the more difficult..and yet everything worked out perfectly. Many of our guests commented that this was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever attended...choosing the Silverthorne Pavilion as our reception venue definitely had a big part in that. Thanks again to Amy Lydon, the town of Silverthorne, and all staff at the Pavilion for making our day exceptional. Put this venue at the top of your list - you will not be disappointed!

Wedding of our Dreams in Silverthorne!
We booked our wedding at this venue in 2020 and did not get married until 11.12.2022. Amy (venue coordinator) was absolutely incredible and so helpful to work with! We live in Houston, TX, so planning a wedding from 1,000 miles away was anything but easy. However, on the big day, the venue was stunning, our guests were happy, and my husband and I watched the wedding of our dreams unfold right before our eyes. We cannot wait to be back to Colorado, and will definitely be stopping by the pavilion for a visit!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

A hidden gem
The Silverthorne Pavilion is located in a shopping plaza, but once inside you are transported into this wonderful lodge feel venue which sits alongside a picturesque river in Silverthorne. Pre-event, Amy and Cheyenne were wonderful at answering all questions promptly, and Amy, Cheyenne, and Laura did a fantastic job during the event itself. We could not be happier with our choice of hosting our daughter's wedding there.-

Summit County Charm
If you’re dreaming of a Summit County wedding on a budget, look no further than the Silverthorne Pavilion! Amy and her team are incredible. The space is clean, versatile and affordable! It’s a large venue but our smaller wedding felt like it filled the room well. It’s all in how you decorate and set up. Amy was so easy to work with and supplied everything we needed for our bar. The staff was invisible during our reception! In the best way. They did their thing in the background and we enjoyed our day. We would recommend this venue to any couple or event hoster!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Thank you so much for the review, Mary Catherine! It was so great working you! Happy (almost) One Year Anniversary! I can't believe it has been a year since your wedding, time flies! I still think back on that day as it was so pretty with all the freshly fallen snow! - Amy, Pavilion Coordinator -

Perfect Mountain Wedding
The Pavilion was the perfect setting for our wedding. They had the ability to do outdoor or indoor weddings- which was necessary in late October. We were so happy we added the indoor string lights and fireplace- they added the perfect ambiance for our evening and made beautiful photos. Amy the venue coordinator was so easy to work with and was very quick to respond to my many questions. We were so happy with the many sites for gorgeous photos by the river and on the bridge. They allowed us to choose our own caterer and the pavilion provided the bar services. I would highly recommend using the pavilion for an affordable mountain wedding. -

This was the PERFECT mountain venue!
We wanted to get married in the mountains but were having a hard time finding a venue that wasn't insanely expensive and needed it to be convenient for out of town guests... then we found Silverthorne Pavilion. Not only was it beautiful but they made everything so easy to plan! They were flexible on caterers, so I was able to find an affordable option, they were also flexible on hours of the wedding so we were able to have a longer reception without paying a ton like other venues, and they handle the bar with plenty of options to keep it within our budget without compromising on quality, We felt like we got the most out of our budget here and had so much fun the day of our wedding - I highly recommend getting married at Silverthorne Pavilion!-

Perfect venue in the heart of Summit County
My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our wedding at the Silverthorne Pavilion! Amy and Shyanne were very responsive with all of the many questions we had and communicating changes in COVID guidelines. The venue was a perfect location and setting for our Indian Wedding. We loved the flexibility in catering, decor, and vendor selection. The value was also a stand out for us. Truly could not have picked a more perfect setting for our celebration.-

Outstanding!
We got married at the Silverthorne Pavilion 7/9/21 and could not have had a better experience. This was a destination wedding for us and all of our guests. Neither one of us had seen the venue before our wedding day, so we put a lot of trust into the pavilion-and everything turned out so great!! The staff was super helpful through the entire day and night. Our ceremony was outside near the river and it was gorgeous. We loved having the patio for our cocktail hour. The stage in the ballroom worked awesome for our band! Amy is so easy to work with. Our wedding was supposed to be April 2020 but had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic. I can't thank the pavilion enough for being incredibly flexible and so reassuring during that time. We had such a beautiful wedding day at the Silverthorne Pavilion and we will never forget it!Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:

We loved this venue!!
The Silverthorne Pavilions was a wonderful place to have our wedding!!!! Everyone was so thorough and helpful with the planning process. The communication was wonderful. During the time of Covid, we always knew what the latest mandates and changes were prior to our wedding. The venue was absolutely beautiful! So many people at our guests (and who saw the pictures) were completely impressed with our venue. Getting married along the Blue River and then having the reception in the Pavilions made for a perfect wedding for us.-

Fantastic venue with fantastic service
We absolutely loved getting married at and working with Silverthorne Pavilion. The venue is stunning and shockingly affordable -- it's far bigger and nicer than some of the other venues we checked out for double or more the price. The service was also great -- the staff was responsive, helpful, had great tips and made the entire process easy. We really could not recommend them more! -

Perfect Wedding Venue!
My new husband and I chose Silverthorne Pavilion for our wedding venue and we're SO glad that we did!
We worked with Amy throughout the planning process and she was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond with requested updates.
They pavilion offers 3 free planning meetings, which wound up being the perfect number.
The venue is spacious and updated, and has a nice mountain feel.
We held the ceremony outside at their outdoor site, not far from the pavilion, and it's position by the river made for a gorgeous ceremony spot.
The wedding day itself was rather hectic and Amy was out of town so Cheyenne handled day-of duties. She was also fantastic to work with and did a great job.
The bartenders were also great and our guests were very happy!
We highly recommend this venue for anyone needing a place to host a large event! -

Best way to have a Mountain wedding!
The pavilion was an excellent venue to use. Not only was it super reasonable but their staff was incredibly helpful and kind every step of the way. They seemed to have everything you could want but still make it all your own. I would definitely recommend booking this venue if you want a wedding venue but don't have a huge budget. -

Best wedding destination
When I walked in for my tour of the facility, my heart was broken because I didn’t think I could ever afford to have my wedding as such a beautiful, elligant venue. Low and behold, they were the most affordable venue in Colorado. The people I worked with were stress free and easy going and I recommend this venue to all of my friends. They even had a closet full of decorations I was allowed to use for no extra cost! -

I loved this venue. It’s so beautiful inside. The Pavilion staff was so helpful with any questions I had during my wedding planning as well as the day of, and they were prompt at replying to my emails. I chose this venue because the price was very reasonable compared to everything else around, plus it’s right on the Blue River. I also had the ceremony right outside by the river which was super convenient not only for my family and all the vendors but getting ready as well since there was a Bridal suite inside. I highly recommend this place. -

As soon as I saw the Pavilion I knew I had to have my wedding there. The patient, friendly, attentive staff was a huge bonus and made planning an enjoyable experience. I always had answers to my many inquiries quickly. The rental and service fees were affordable, laid out, upfront and true (no hidden fees). When I needed to pop in to do a walk through, measure, whatever it was it was typically pretty easy and Chris was flexible. Everyone who came to the wedding said it was the most beautiful venue they had been to both outside for ceremony and inside for the reception and being set in the town of Silverthorne, everyone made a vacation out of it and loved hanging in the mountains for the weekend! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a rustic/mountain vibe for their wedding. -

Amazing; the venue was perfect for our day and the workers (Rob and Chris) were incredibly helpful on the day of and leading up to it. We can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed this venue. Our guests from Denver and out of state still continue (3 weeks later) still continue to compliment us on the Silverthorne Pavilion choice. -

The staff was fantastic and friendly! The views were beautiful as was the the Pavilion building itself. It was the perfect combination of rustic and mountain. The river and the bridge made for beautiful pictures. It had snowed right before our wedding but it made for gorgeous pictures and a romantic, fairytale setting. -

Rob and Chris are an awesome team and couldn't have been more professional, helpful and reassuring. It's a stressful time, especially trying to plan a destination wedding! The day of our wedding, I didn't even worry about the reception hall because I knew everything was taken care of by Chris and his team. The venue was perfect!! It's located a mile or two away from hotels, restaurants and shopping. The area is absolutely gorgeous! We utilized the entire space, including the outdoor fireplace where everyone was hanging out, the breakout room which my cousin used for privacy to breastfeed and the upstairs for a photo booth. The venue also has an elevator which assisted my aunt in getting around. I couldn't have imagined having our wedding any other place! -

The Pavilion was an excellent choice for our wedding day! Having the all-in-one convenience of hosting both the ceremony and reception in one venue was so nice! Rob was our planner and he was excellent to work with as well! He was always there and available to answer any questions we had and meet with us when needed. He is incredible at what he does and wants to make sure his couples are happy with their venue selection. We certainly were! Thanks Rob! The Pavilion is absolutely gorgeous and we were so happy we chose it as our venue. -

My husband and I had our ceremony outside next to the Blue River (weather was beautiful, but they do offer plan B's, C's, and D's in case the weather does not cooperate), our cocktail hour in the indoor/outdoor patio area, and reception in the main hall with the cathedral lighting overhead. We fell in love with the rustic feel the venue had, and it was pretty much a slam dunk with what we wanted. When our wedding day came, we were not disappointed in our decision at all! It was the best day of our lives, and we loved the way everything came together the day of. We got married on a Sunday, and I felt that the price was very reasonable after looking at other venues in the Summit County area. They also have a "center piece" closet where some brides decided to leave their center piece decor behind, and the Pavilion allows you to re-use the decor at no extra charge if you want to (minus the oil votives). They have TONS of vases of all different shapes and sizes as well as other things like wooden plaques, glass plates, pebbles, etc. I definitely utilized some things, which helped save a few bucks in the wedding planning process. I worked mainly with Rob throughout the planning process, and then I worked with Blair the week prior to our wedding as well as the day of. They were both always very prompt and courteous. We ended up having a smaller, more intimate, wedding than we had originally expected, so Rob was very helpful in utilizing space when it came time to set up a floor plan. Rob was the one who we toured the Pavilion with when we were first looking at venues, and he was very upfront about any and all extra fees. The extras are all laid out on the pamphlet that you get when you are considering the Pavilion as your venue for your event. Therefore, we did not have any surprises or "hidden fees" when it came time to make final payment. Working with Rob and Blair was very easy, and our wedding day went by so smoothly! -

We had our wedding at the pavilion this past Saturday (August 5) and it was absolutely wonderful! The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is due to a very rude attendant working the night of our wedding, but that was just a minor setback. Everything else was perfect. The place looked amazing inside and out - we had our ceremony by the river and all 185 guests fit comfortably, and having the river behind us was gorgeous. I was worried that not all guests would fit comfortably inside, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much space was still available for dancing and relaxing once all of the tables were set up. The bartenders were professional and on top of their game, and we felt that it was all very reasonably priced. Patricia was wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding, answering any questions I had in a professional and timely manner. We had everything we needed and more, and are so glad we chose to get married there. -

We used the Silverthorne Pavilion for our October 2013 wedding. We booked them over a year in advance. We loved the balcony and the space inside, along with the walking bridge and outside ceremony site. It has getting ready rooms and is just a gorgeous space! Rob was fantastic to work with. We viewed the venue, booked it, and then planned everything else from Maryland. Rob answered all of my questions via Email and was quick! The only downsides - the chairs are ugly so we had to buy chair covers, and you have to rent chairs for an outside ceremony, which can get pricey. We also had to have our rehearsal at 11 in the morning due to another event that Friday, and we couldn't go inside, but we planned our ceremony for outside anyways. They are very affordable compared to other venues. The only down side is that a catering company holds their liquor license so you can't bring in your own liquor. The staff answered all of our questions and were great to work with! -

I would recommend the Pavilion to anyone and everyone who wants the beauty of a mountain wedding within a limited budget. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. The coordinating staff were extremely helpful in setting up day of timeline and bar service. Even when we dealt with multiple people over the seven months we were planning (most of them long distance), everything was well documented and communicated. The value in the Pavilion allowed us to splurge on many other aspects of our wedding. Many of our guests, both from near and halfway across the country stayed around Silverthorne and enjoyed a mini vacation of the nearby ski towns. And the views, whether you're looking up toward the mountains or standing on the bridge looking out at the blue river, are incomparable. -

We loved getting married at the Pavilion. Rob was fantastic to work with from the very beginning up through the last minute of the party. The staff was incredibly helpful in set up and very flexible with anything we needed. The surrounding outdoor area is perfect for anything. We used the site next to the river for our ceremony and were very thankful for Rob's input on arrangement because it made for magnificent pictures. They are very flexible about caterers but you do need to use their one bar contractor. Sadly, that was the worst part of the wedding. We specified how many people were coming and wanted open bar for wine and beer all night. She said we had enough but low and behold, we ran out of wine halfway through cocktail hour! I had to purchase more from them and then we still ran out! It was embarrassing to have my guests have to pay cash for this just because the bar contractor couldn't appropriately estimate amounts. I would have gladly paid more if the estimate would have been accurate.
Not the Pavilion's fault though.
Overall, this site was perfect for everything we needed and was great to work with. Price was very reasonable for all the services and beauty you get. You also have full access to their "supply closet" that has bunches of vases, river rocks, and table number holders. We saved a lot of money by using their vases and equipment.
If you want to see pics of the wedding, go here: http://virginiastilesphotography.com/colorado-wedding-photographer-silverthorne-pavillion/#commentsSilverthorne Pavilion's reply:
Hi Kelsey,
Thanks so much for this great review! We thoroughly enjoyed working with you as well and are glad that you found the customer service of the Pavilion staff so excellent. Rob works very hard to create the wedding of their dreams, and we do try to be very flexible with everything that we can, including bringing in your own caterer, decorations, etc. as everyone’s taste are different!
Thank you for addressing the liquor concessionaire that you were asked to contract with for bar services, and first, let us please apologize for your experience. Instances like these have been brought to our attention and as a result, we did make the decision to bring bar services in house, beginning January, 2015. This means that brides and grooms no longer have to work with the outside concessionaire, but rather work directly with Rob to create a custom bar that meets both guests and financial needs. It is important to us that our customers receive the best customer service possible and for that reason, we saw this as a necessary move. We are very sorry that this change was not made in time for your wedding, but sincerely appreciate the feedback, as we would not have gotten to where we are without excellent clients like yourself documenting their experience with the Silverthorne Pavilion.
Thank you again for your kind words and congratulations!
Blair, Rob and Chris

The Pavilion was the best find for my wedding! It was very spacious for the amount of people I wanted. I had my ceremony and reception here with about 80 people attending and they worked well and hard on transitioning between the two events quickly. The building and scenery around it is perfect for pictures. I love how everything is right there, you don't need to get in the car for private pictures. We had it in the winter and they had the fireplace running and they have heated sidewalks, which was convenient. The staff there is VERY helpful and they want to do everything to make your day memorable. They were great at suggesting good settings and displays. Overall, I was very happy with them and would suggest them to anyone who wants to get married in the beautiful Colorado mountains. -

We had the ceremony only at the pavilion. Because our wedding was in April, we wanted an indoor space that would be great for family pictures. We loved the rustic look of the hardwoods and iron railings. And the lighting during the day is great. Plus, there are great photo opportunities on the bridge overlooking the river. This was the only space we could find close to Breckenridge for an indoor wedding. The staff at the pavilion were so easy to work with. Blair, my main contact person, always got back to me very promptly. We would have loved to have had the reception here, as well, but the closest nice hotels were in Breckenridge, and we didnt want people driving after drinking. -

I just had a small destination wedding (45 guests) at the Pavilion, and it was wonderful. The venue was gorgeous, very well maintained, and Rob took care of much of the set-up inside the building. Whoever they have do the floral decorations is amazing. I will note that they do not do the set-up outside (in this case, the outdoor ceremony chairs). I wish this was emphasized a bit better, but if you have 1 or more designated guest(s) to assist with set-up like the Pavilion contract recommends, this won't be a problem.
Everything we went over was set up as it was supposed to be on Rob's end, and he was very flexible the day-of with working with the vendors and others who were helping with set-up. We almost got rained out, and the mezzanine was set up for the ceremony before I even knew there was a problem. We were able to have the ceremony outside, but if we had to move inside, the ceremony would not have even been delayed. Rob was relaxed yet on top of everything, and we had no problems throughout the entire day from set-up to break-down.
You have to use whatever alcohol caterer the Pavilion has a contract with (All Seasons Catering in my case). The prices are were reasonable, and the bartender, Greg, was fantastic. I was worried about this due to lack of competition from other vendors, but it wasn't a problem at all the day-of.
I had a small issue with responsiveness from Rob a few months out from my wedding date. It seemed very difficult to get a hold of him on the phone. It turns out his office is not at the Pavilion. That's fine; I just wish I had known that a little earlier. My recommendation is to lean heavily on e-mail because he's quick with responding to that. It caused me a bit of unnecessary extra anxiety, but no other problems. In any case, the event went perfectly (which is the important part) so this is a very small complaint.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a venue with a building and beautiful mountain views. -

My daughter had her wedding at the Silverthorne Pavilion in February 2012. It was awesome!! Blair and Rob were professional, helpful and responsive during the planning, and the night of the wedding, it was beautiful and everything went smoothly. The place is very pretty and the only hassle (compared to a resort) is having to get your own caterer. We had the DJ on the stage and our videographer, photo booth and a second bar upstairs. There is tons of room and since the DJ was pretty loud, there was plenty of room for people to sit in the front area and talk. It's a great place! -

The Silverthorne Pavilion was an AWESOME place to have our wedding. The staff is great to work with, professional, hard working and know what they're doing, yet casual and laid back. They were very easy to work with, but just a bit hard to get ahold of at times. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL. The building is very classy and Colorado. I thought it would feel like we were in the middle of town since it's right off the highway, but once you walked inside and even back by the river and bridge it felt like a totally secluded private event. Also, the price is absolutely incomparable to anything else in the area, it was very reasonable, especially on a Sunday or a weekday. Also a very accessible venue for our guests coming from all over the state, close to Denver and the Front Range, and really close for all our mountain friends and family. -

The people at the silverthorne pavilion were great! We were able to get a pretty great deal on our venue rental being in December and on a Sunday. They were helpful in answering all of my questions and made sure I knew what was going on that day. -

Rob was great to work with. He was open to any crazy ideas that we had for decorations and made it happen for us. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and a great place to hold an event. The only down side is that the amount of hours that you get for the cost does not allow for a lot of decorating time unless you have a wedding coordinator which is an additional cost. Otherwise, we absolutely loved having our wedding there and were very happy and pleased with our experience. -

This venue is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our wedding. Rob was extremely responsive, warm, and helpful throughout the planning process. Overall this was a great place to hold our reception; the price was reasonable, it's an absolutely beautiful setting and the staff was very friendly.
My only complaint was that we'd made tentative arrangements to drop chairs off the day before the wedding and then were unable to reach anyone that day which left everyone in limbo. Also, they told us someone would be there at 9 a.m. the day after the wedding to allow some of our wedding party with trucks to pick up larger items we'd left the night before. We had people at the venue at 8:45 who waited until after 10 to pick those items up. Nobody showed and nobody from the venue answered their phones. Again, this left everyone in limbo, left our friends waiting who had volunteered to help us out, and had us managing more stress while making alternate arrangements to try and get our stuff the next day.
Again, overall wonderful place and experience. The communication, responsiveness, and flexibility just could've been better once we got down to the actual event. I would definitely recommend this spot though! -

Silverthorne Pavilion was a fantastic place to have our wedding! We only had about 100 guests and the venue can hold many more than this. We decided to have our ceremony inside on the stage so we wouldnt have to risk bad weather. This of course meant our caterer had to do an entire room flip while our guests were in the lobby and on the patio for cocktail hour. The flip went flawlessly and it was so fun to reveal the room to our guests for dinner! Rob was very easy to work with and very accommodating. He was very helpful in walking my dad through the technical part of using their amazing built in projector system for a fun slideshow during our reception. The venue was beautiful and they were very easy to work with! -

Awesome venue --- read the alcohol policy
The Silverthorne Pavilion was a great venue for our needs. It is the epitome of mountain fancy / rustic chic, whatever else you want to call "elegant and simple." It is spacious, and they're very accommodating in terms of moving furniture, making the space work for each event, etc. The two issues we encountered were a. that there seemed to be a lot of staff turnover during our planning process, so communication was wobbly at times, and b. that friggin' alcohol policy! And this was totally my mistake to jump in without really understanding that policy, but they're pretty extortionary in that area. They have these reasonable rental rates, and then they expect that they'll make 150% of that on drinks. HOWEVER -- If lots of your guests are coming from sea level, you can get away with serving wayyyy less alcohol. ;-) -

I would not recommend this venue for your wedding or anything else. My friend got married at the Pavilion this summer and I watched as the employees treated her and her groom with disrespect and horrible customer service. I felt so bad for my friend and that she was stuck with such a horrible place to get married. This place lacks EVERYTHING. They're not helpful, they're overpriced, and they have a lot of hidden "got yas" -

I would not recommend the Silverthorne Pavilion for your wedding ceremony and/or reception. The experience I had with Pavilion was not good. I feel like they have poor customer service and that they are not equipped for weddings. After my wedding, I confronted some issues over the phone to the Pavilion about my concerns of how the groom was yelled at by their staff, that the employee working at that time didn't even know who the groom was, and their threats to shut down the wedding as we were setting up (as well as other issues). I asked how we would be repaid for all the issues and was told we wouldn't because each party had a different story. Although they say that they are an affordable venue, the underlying costs are what get you in the end. My suggestion to others is that if you are going to use this venue, be sure to research Harvest Catering (or the company that holds the liquor license at the time) before you commit. When first visiting the Pavilion, we were told that Harvest Catering's prices were comparable to that of restaurants. A keg of Bud Light costs $275 - had we received this specific information, we would never have booked at the Silverthorne Pavilion.
I feel that the Pavilion is only in it for your money. If you want good customer service at an affordable venue that really cares that you are there, I would not suggest this venue for your wedding.Silverthorne Pavilion's reply:
At the Pavilion, we strive to provide excellent customer service throughout the planning process, beginning with your initial site tour and through your wedding day. After 50 weddings a year for the last 10 years, though, we've learned that - as Abraham Lincoln said - "...you can't please all of the people all of the time."
As this individual says, we also HIGHLY recommend speaking with food and beverage vendors before committing to a venue (that goes for any, not just ours). Alcohol is the most expensive part of most weddings, followed closely by food, and then the venue. (On the Silverthorne Pavilion's wedding blog we have lots of articles to help you budget and plan financially for Your Day.) If you find yourself overwhelmed by the planning process, we're happy to provide you with the names of contact information of local wedding and day-of planners - something we don't function as.
As with any venue, we have policies. Though it may seem like a high-pressure sales tactic, brides receive a copy of our contract during their first site tour to get a good read of the policies and rules. And, as with anything in life, unfortunately there are consequences for breaking the rules. It's certainly not a part of our job that we enjoy, but we do our best to be upfront with folks both onsite during the event, and follow up afterward if there were serious issues.
All that said, we welcome inquiries about our venue, policies and procedures so brides can learn accurate facts directly from us about the services and amenities included in the Pavilion's site fee, and what is additional. We can be reached at 970-262-7396, or weddings@silverthorne.org. -
