Great performance!

Linda was very kind and professional. She communicated with us well in advance of the ceremony and made it a point to meet our needs. She and her team went above and beyond in learning the music we requested as well.

The most magical day!

We can't recommend Silver Strings enough! From our initial contact to the big day, Linda was fantastic. The lines of communication were always open. She offered to meet with us in person to discuss music choices, and she was so kind and gave us great ideas for the ceremony and cocktail hour based on her expertise. The string quartet on the day of the wedding was absolutely amazing. All of our guests raved about how good the music was. They were on time and professional. It was the perfect magical touch to our cute little garden wedding.

Above and beyond!

Silver Strings went absolutely above and beyond for our wedding ceremony. My fiancé had very specific ideas for classical pieces he wanted played during our ceremony, as well as a specific Brahms piece that he envisioned for our recessional. We had been told by multiple groups that this piece could not be done, and then we found Silver Strings. Not only did they have a huge selection of pieces to choose from, but Linda worked to custom transcribe the Brahms piece we wanted, and it was absolutely perfect. Everything went so smoothly, and our ceremony was everything we had hoped for in part thanks to Silver Strings. Could not imagine a kinder, more professional, and more talented group to work with!

Excellent and High Class Option for Wedding Entertainment

Linda and her fellow musicians entertained our guests recently during our wedding prelude and performed the wedding music for the ceremony with classical music. Then we had them switch gears and they entertained our guests during the cocktail hour with a medley of 80s and more current tunes not traditionally played by a string trio including Dave Matthews, Coldplay, the Bee Gees, Cyndi Lauper, etc. They have a good range and a varied song catalog and it was fun to mix up the music genres. They handled it with ease and were very professional. The guests loved it and it was a nice transition from cocktails into the dinner hour. If you need strings for your wedding or event, definitely give them a call.

Beautiful Strings and Vocalist

Me and my husband are so happy we went with Nashville Silver Strings. The strings and vocalist we added on made our wedding so much more beautiful and our guests have not stopped talking about it since. I can’t thank Linda enough for her work and her crew was absolutely wonderful. She was even able to do cultural songs that I wouldn’t have thought anyone knew. You will not regret going with them!

Perfect for my wedding!

The best quartet

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Linda and Silver Strings — they were an unforgettable part of our wedding day. From the very beginning, they were professional, communicative, and so easy to work with. Linda helped guide us through the music selection process and even learned a custom song that was deeply meaningful to us.

On the day of the wedding, their performance was absolutely breathtaking. The ceremony felt magical with their music setting the tone for cocktail hour. They brought such a timeless and emotional quality to the entire experience — it honestly wouldn’t have been the same without them.

If you’re looking for musicians who are not only incredibly talented but also kind, reliable, and passionate about what they do, look no further. Booking them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Wonderful String Quartet

I absolutely loved working with the Nashville Silver Strings. Linda was easy to communicate with, always responded in a timely manner, and she could not have been more friendly or professional. We hired their services as a string quartet to play for our ceremony, and they added such a beautiful ambiance to our wedding day. The best string quartet around!!

We hired Silver Strings for our wedding ceremony in October 2024. As a professional musician, I have lots of experience working with other musicians, and hands down, this was one of the best groups I’ve ever worked with, both from the business side, and the performance side. From the beginning, Linda had fantastic communication, always returning my texts quickly, and asking simple questions to figure out logistics of setup location and song selections. An added bonus was they were very affordable, and had better rates than a lot of other groups in the area. The quartet arrived right when they said, and were dressed nicely, and were very professional. They were very attentive during the processional, and were conscious of when songs needed to be shortened or lengthened based on how long the wedding party was walking, and timed everything perfectly. My wife and I included a unity ceremony in the middle for which I composed a 3-minute piece for the quartet. Linda was there step by step to help me with the process of printing out and getting the music to them, and they walked in, rehearsed it once before hand, and they played it PERFECTLY! It was played so beautifully, I got emotional hearing the rehearsal from the Groom’s room. If you are going to hire a string quartet for ANYTHING, this is your group. They are THE BEST. A++++!

We booked Silver Strings for our wedding at CJ’s Off the Square and they were AMAZING!! Linda Davis is so wonderful to work with— she and her team are so talented. Linda was able to compose a custom piece for walking down the aisle of mixing cannon in D with my favorite movie score and it was BEAUTIFUL. If you are looking for live ceremony and cocktail music I couldn’t recommend them enough!

So pleased with our String Trio

We booked silver strings to play as our guests were arriving, the ceremony, and our cocktail hour. We are so pleased with our choice! We had very specific songs for the ceremony (the Beatles, James Bond) that they had to arrange. The arrangements were fantastic with a very quick turnaround. I was adamant I wanted a string trio to elevate our wedding and they really truly did. Most importantly they were very responsive by email and able to meet in person on a weekend due to our work schedule. We priced several trios and feel that their price for the 2 hours they played was more than fair. I would recommend silver strings to anyone considering live music.

Silver Strings was a beautiful addition to our wedding. I will never forget waiting to walk down the aisle behind the doors and listening to the spring quartet play moon river and how beautiful it was, it felt like a dream! Wedding ceremony music of my dreams

Linda was wonderful to work with. She gave me a list of songs to choose from for my wedding and was able to play my favorite song of all time while I was walking down the aisle. She also played two versions of the song for me to hear before the wedding to see which I preferred. Everyone loved the string trio. They were dressed formally in tuxedos which I requested of them and were extremely professional. Highly recommend.

Fantastic musicians with wide-ranging repertoire

The silver strings were wonderful to work with! We hired a septet for a robust sound. They were able to learn a few pieces of music for our ceremony and reception, and played a beautiful mix of classical and more modern pieces throughout the evening. We actually didn’t even need to hire a DJ or second band, because we wanted to dance to waltzes/tangos during our reception, and they were happy to accommodate!

I couldn't be happier that I decided to hire musicians for my ceremony. Linda was a dream to work with, given that I was planning this hometown wedding while living a thousand miles away -- we had the best time on a Zoom session talking about song choices, and music in general. Silver Strings was a huge hit at the ceremony, too. Absolutely beautiful music welcomed my guests to the space, and with Linda's help I was able to pick songs that were important to me and my partner for the processional and during the ceremony. Silver Strings excellence

We hired Silver Strings Quartet to play at our sons wedding on September 9 this year. The process to hire them was seamless with Linda as our primary contact. She walked us through the choices and indicated that if there was a specific piece we wanted played she could accommodate the request as long as she had enough lead time so the quartet could become proficient at it. When the day came they arrived on time and played beautifully before and and during cocktail hour. Our guests raved about them. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough great things about The Silver Strings of Nashville. Linda is so responsive, so willing to listen to your ideas and truly aims to make all of your requests a reality. She is a true professional, and she was willing to learn new music for our processional and recessional and also work with a singer and keyboardist that we hired for the wedding ceremony. She is someone that goes the extra mile to make your event outstanding. The Silver Strings were also willing to play an extra hour for cocktail time when asked spur of the moment. Their song list is endless and they can do all types of music from Classical to Cold Play and everything in between. Linda and the musicians exceeded our expectations so if you want to hire the best, you are in good hands!!

I hired Silver Strings to play during my ceremony and into my cocktail hour, and it was such a fun and special addition to our day!
I knew I wanted some element of live music, and Silver Strings perfectly worked with my vision. They played more classical sounds during the ceremony and then switched to string versions of pop music during the cocktail hour for a fun, upbeat touch. Silver Strings had such a thorough catalog of music to choose from, and I was able to choose a lot of my favorite songs to be played. I was planning my wedding from out of town, and they really worked with my availability to meet up and discuss the vision of the event. Cannot recommend them enough!

Incredible, elegant, affordable quartet!

We absolutely loved having Silver Strings play our Nashville wedding! They were recommended by our venue owner and it's no wonder she rates them #1 of the groups she's worked with. Linda Davis was easy to coordinate with over email and made the fairly daunting process of choosing wedding music easy. The group has a massive document of songs they can play - everything from classical, to country, to rock, to pop - which really takes the stress out of endlessly googling "classical wedding songs". The group itself was fantastic. They showed up on time, were on top of their payments (but not pushy in any way), and looked great. The music was FANTASTIC. We had so many guests wowed by having a string quartet play our event. When it comes to value, Silver Strings can't be beat. We didn't think they would fit in our budget, but their rates were exceedingly reasonable especially given their talent, professionalism, and class. We opted in to having the group play our cocktail hour as well using more country/pop tunes. If you've never heard "Friends in Low Places" on a string quartet, I'd highly recommend it. If classical/country isn't your speed, I know the group played a wedding the day before ours whose music consisted of a lot of Smashing Pumpkins, Arcade Fire, and Death Cab for Cutie. Whatever you're looking for, odds are they can play it, and play it well. Absolutely incredible group, you should definitely, definitely consider them for your wedding or big event.

If you are looking for something to make your wedding a little extra special I highly recommend Silver Strings! Linda was very easy to work with and even helped us shorten the song for our first dance so it wasn't too long. They played our ceremony, reception & first dance before the DJ took over. Our guests all commented on the music; it really took the wedding up a notch.

We were so happy that Silver Strings was able to play at my daughter's wedding. I had heard them at a friends wedding a few years ago, and knew then we would use them in the future. Wedding Ceremony String Trio

Linda and her team played at my wedding ceremony! My fiancé and I had quite a list of songs we wanted played, some of which were not on their music list, and they still played them for us! They were extremely professional and great to work with! Linda came to the wedding rehearsal just to make sure everything went perfectly on Saturday and it did! I highly recommend them!!

Absolute Perfection

Silver Strings was easily one of the best parts of our wedding! We had a string quartet for the ceremony, and the music was perfect- I honestly felt like I was in a dream! Linda was amazing to work with, and she quickly responded to my emails and met with my mom and me during the planning process. She was easily able to customize songs and worked out vocal accompaniment for one of our songs. I can't say enough good things about Silver Strings!

Having a string quartet for her wedding was very important to my daughter. Our parish organist knows a number of other organists in the diocese and he polled them to learn who was the best in terms of quality of music and professionalism. Based on his research, we hired Silver Strings; it was the absolute right choice! Our pastor is very picky about music and has gone on and on about how perfect this quartet was. I have never heard the Brandenburg 3 done as well. Almost better from the MOB's viewpoint, they were a delight to work with in the planning stages .

Silver String was recommended to us by a friend whose daughter's wedding they played during. Linda was wonderful1 The have the most extensive song list which covers most genres. Linda worked with all our requests and incorporated those into the ceremony. The actual trio was also very good and did an excellent job at the ceremony. Linda was so great to work with. When I reached out to her about playing my wedding she offered to meet with me to have a cup coffee which spoke volumes to me. Subsequently, in the planning process, she made time to meet with me again to go over details just so I would feel confident in the day of scheduling. She made the process very easy and stress free. Her professionalism affords her customers the ability to feel taken care of which opens up more energy to focus on a peaceful wedding day! Linda & her team were a pleasure to work with - both responsive and very flexible. Fantastic string quartet! They played during the ceremony and then during cocktail hour. They did a special request for us not on their list and performed ‘Crocodile Rock’ during our cocktail hour. These guys were great at my wedding. Such a special touch to set exactly the mood I wanted. Loved going through and picking the songs we wanted. I made a special request for them to play a song very special to my husband right before the wedding and it worked out perfectly. We stood next to an open window waiting to process in and got to share that moment when they started playing his song and he looked at me so surprised and it was a very sweet moment we got to share right before the ceremony.

They were very easy to work with and flexible with the fact that I had been sick and didn't really get everything finalized until the week before the wedding. They were complete professionals though and worked with me and it turned out great. They were also very cool about the fact that the valet at our wedding wrecked their car. I'm so glad I didn't find out until AFTER the wedding because I would have been mortified but they just rolled with it. So glad we had the Silver Strings for our wedding and I'd recommend them to anyone!

AH! THESE TALENTED MUSICIANS MADE OUR DAY SO SPECIAL! And, yes, the capital letters are necessary. We booked them for prelude to ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour. We could not have made a better choice. We told them to play the 'traditional' prelude music and had very specific songs picked out for the ceremony. For the cocktail hour, we told them to "have fun and get the party started!" They certainly did!
Our ceremony was made so special BECAUSE of the music. I had two of my bridesmaids sing a duet during the ceremony. Linda (head contact/music master) was able to arrange a version of the hymn and allowed my girls to sing with them! All they needed was one, quick rehearsal before the ceremony for a perfect performance! If it wasn't for the music at the ceremony, then I probably would not have cried as much as I did! Everything was so special and perfect because of this group! THANK YOU, SILVER STRINGS!

When our original ceremony musicians had to bow out at the last minute, a friend suggested that I contact Silver Strings and I am thrilled I did! Linda immediately responded to my email inquiry, was straightforward about the available options and price points (which isn't always the case with wedding vendors) and reassuring. As I was living abroad at the time, she even set up a video call with me to get a better feel for our musical needs/vision and to answer any questions I had. The music was such a personal and important aspect of the overall wedding experience we wanted to create and I instantly felt relieved with Linda and knew I was in good hands. Not only was she a true professional but also accommodating, detailed and just a genuine, kind person - a breath of fresh air!

We didn't want a traditional wedding "soundtrack" for our ceremony, which required them to write new sheet music for 4 special songs, one of which was my bridal processional. The final result was exactly what I'd dreamed of - simply magical! They are skilled, truly impressive musicians who do not disappoint! We went with the quartet which was perfect for an outdoor ceremony with about 200 guests.

Linda and the Silver Strings musicians came through for us when we were in a bind and did a stellar job creating the intimate, romantic atmosphere I'd wanted for our wedding. They were an absolute delight to work with and I highly recommend them!!! Thank you guys!!! :)

The wonderful Silver Strings provided exactly what we wanted for our daughter's wedding! I could not have asked for a better working relationship than the one Linda provided in the planning phases. She replied promptly, answered all my questions with ease and grace, and gave us very helpful advice. On the day of the wedding, Linda came to the rehearsal to meet us and make final decisions, even though they had played at the Cordelle before. Most importantly, Linda and the Strings worked diligently to find just the right arrangements for some special requests we had made - and they turned out wonderfully! We were excited that they had so many songs on their playlist. We were definitely able to do all of the nontraditional music that we wanted, and they new all of the traditional songs as well. I believe they could play anything! We had a very traditional ceremony so it was nice to be able to add a more unique touch with the music and still sound classy. Linda was very quick in responding to emails, which was very nice. They are also very flexible with changes in music selection.

Super-sweet. Incredibly professional. Very talented. They played our reception (we wanted ballroom dance) and were amazing! They modified several songs to fit our requirements (slowing down the mother-son dance, etc.) and created compositions of some requests (Journey) and some just for fun (Lady Gaga). They also gave us an incredibly competitive price (bonus!).

I was told about Silver Strings by a wedding planner. I went to their web-site and was immediately impressed by the quality of music and the range of pieces available for our daughters wedding. I signed the contract, indicated the times and they were there. The music was exquisite. The musicians were professionally dressed. They arrived at the requested time ready to play. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the music was. After spending a year putting a wedding together, and having to make sure that vendors were where they were supposed to be, it was a relief to have Silver Strings on board. I never felt the need to "double check". They did exactly what they said they were going to do and it exceeded out expectations.

Silver strings provided the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They worked with us on creating a playlist for the ceremony and were open to trying new songs that we suggested. They played beautifully and several of the guests raved about their music. Would definitely recommend!

The string quartet, Silver Strings, performed at my daughter’s wedding in September. The performance was absolutely amazing and beautiful! The director, Linda Davis, was a delight to work with during the music planning phase. She was quick to respond and offered suggestions and guidance, including a large repertoire of songs. Planning the wedding music was one of the simplest tasks compared to everything else and it completely set the tone for a beautiful event! I would highly recommend Silver Strings for any special event.

Silver Stings was phenomenal from the start of our planning the music for the wedding until the actual ceremony. From one meeting and a few emails, they knew exactly what we wanted for the ceremony. They were able to adapt all necessary arrangements to work with our cantor and service. The Prelude was exceptional and enjoyed by all of my guests. It truly made the ceremony exactly how we wanted it. Although I am certain they can play all types, we wanted to have classical music, and they certainly delivered!! I would highly recommend them not only for their talent, but for their professionalism and reliability as well. Great choice. Top notch and worry free. Would use them again, if I had another daughter!!!

I couldn't have asked for more beautiful music to set the stage for our wedding ceremony. My fiancé and I were blown away by the sheer number of musical selections available to us. My mom chose "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" for the seating of the mothers, which actually brought on several rounds of tears. Linda was super on top of the planning process with us and was always very quick to respond to emails. She especially went out of her way to coordinate with an out of town guest who sang in our ceremony-- and the result was beautiful. The musicians are not only quite talented, but very punctual and thorough with their preparations (where to sit, needing mics, preferred dress code, etc.) We would highly recommend Silver Strings to anyone who is seeking beautifully played music and very friendly, highly efficient musicians.

Linda was super helpful and sweet like a family member to chat with on the phone or through email ! She was even encouraging in the time of doubt! Music was gorgeous so amazing how they can play any type of music but make it sound classic and sophisticated ! It was beautiful the musicians did a terrific job only down fall is I never got to officially talk to them and personally thank them!

Our wedding was in need of the perfect string quartet and we found it! Our venue was made stunning
by Linda and her group of talented and professional players. They looked beautiful and classy and the sound was the perfect ambiance for our old world style , yet upbeat!, setting.

I can't say enough how wonderful it was in this tech savvy world today to find a vendor that communicated well, was classy and professional, and made us feel like would enjoy being apart of our reception.

Linda and her musicians are great! They will custom write any song that they don't already have for you as part of their price. And they have a great selection of contemporary and traditional music. Linda is a unique and down to earth person who is fun to work with. They were responsible and very responsive. They are well known in Nashville and have a great reputation.

Working with Silver Strings was wonderful! My husband and I didn't want all traditional wedding music during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Linda was so helpful with selecting our playlist. For an additional charge they learned a few extra songs to be played on our extra day! We were able to have fun music that really helped capture our personalities. From Bruno mars to lady gaga, and my big entrance to cant help falling in love our day was absolutely perfect with silver strings!!
