Unforgettable dining experience!

We used Silver Service for our wedding at the Majestic in Downtown LA and the food was fantastic. No issues from Silver Service at all! Our guest count was around 210 and up, I'm honestly not quite sure but they were prepared. We received so many compliments from the guest about the food and how amazing it was. Even during our cocktail hour, we did a taco station and passed Hor d'oeuvre and people could not stop talking about how good everything was and how they enjoyed the service. One of our guests even reached out to Jerry at Silver service to find out what steak they serviced he enjoyed it so much!!! Thank you so much for making this an unforgettable evening. The team was easy to work with, flexible and reliable. Having good food and drinks are things people remember forever so if you want to ensure your guest have a memorable time Silver Services does not disappoint.

Simply the best, i had a dream wedding!

I'm writing this review not only as a Client Bride but also as a Venue Partner. I'm the Director at The Majestic Downtown, which is one of the top Wedding Venues in LA. I've had the privilege of working with Silver Service as our in-house catering company for the past 5 years and every single client has been beyond happy with Silver Service. They have been such a blessing to my clients and so incredible to work with over the years. As you can gather, when it came time to plan my own wedding, it wasn't even a question to hire them...and let me tell you...THEY GAVE ME A DREAM WEDDING!

There's no words to express how incredibly happy my husband and I are and how grateful we are that we had Analiza, Jerry, Aliah, and their entire catering team. They are some of the hardest working people on the planet and I'm so lucky to have them by my side! They're fun, FUNNY, sweet, easy going, and detail oriented. I can go on and on about what made our special day so PERFECT because there's endless reasons why. The SSE Team tended to our every need leading up to the wedding and on the day-of. There wasn't one single thing that I wanted/needed because every moment was true perfection. It was absolutely mind blowing to myself, my husband, our family, and our friends how smooth our day went. Everyone raved about the food and the service was impeccable.

Looking back at the video footage, I could see for myself the SSE Team working hard, running around, and making sure my guests had everything they wanted/needed.

The SSE Team went above and beyond to make sure my day was beautiful, memorable, perfect, delicious, and FUN! If you're in search for a Caterer, do yourself a favor and HIRE SILVER SERVICE EVENTS! You will not regret it because they are simply THE BEST!

Jerry was great and the food was fantastic

Jerry was very helpful throughout and helped us figure out our menu and options. He was very flexible and provided everything we needed. The food at the wedding was incredible and we got many comments on how great it was. Had a small issue with the bartender but overall very happy with our experience with Silver Service events and would use them again.

Excellent!

Jerry and his team are true pros. We had tastings at several caterers before our wedding this November at Newhall mansion and Silver Service’s food was by far the tastiest and the execution was flawless. Everything was handled perfectly without needing any direction from us on the day of. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful food, wonderful service!

From the beginning, Silver Service was incredibly easy to work with. Jerry was always responsive and helpful, and they were great about customizing the meal for our wedding to be exactly what we wanted. The staff at both our tasting and the wedding itself were all incredibly kind and helpful. They saved us some appetizers downstairs so we wouldn't miss out on them during our photos at cocktail hour, and they made plates for us at our sweetheart table so we had time to eat while our guests were going through the buffet. I've always heard people say that they don't get to eat at their weddings, but Silver Service took care of us! The food was wonderful and our guests were all very happy. The bartender Carl was incredibly personable and sweet, he really went above and beyond. I'm so happy we hired them--they took care of all our food, rentals, drapery, lighting, etc, and it was a lovely experience working with everyone on the Silver Service team!

Attentive, amazing experience!

Perfect Food and Superb Service makes a Magical Wedding Experience

Silver Service Events went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Our location was in Orcutt Ranch at West Hills, CA and with their help, brought out the most of the location. Their excellent service made sure that our guest felt welcome in our celebration. Their set up and clean up crew were so good that we got the whole deposit from the location. I will recommend them to anyone that is looking for a caterer/event planner for their wedding.

I cannot say enough good praises about Silver Service, I have zero complaints, they were incredible!! From the first at home tasting, which they made very convenient, I was impressed by the company's professionalism & their delicious food. They have a great variety of appetizers and Jerry really worked with us on price and getting exactly what we needed. We even added on chocolate covered strawberries at the last minute and it was no sweat off their back. My venue didn't allow open flames so all food was brought in hot boxes, you would've never known the difference. Would highly recommend them for any event. I lived off leftovers from my wedding for the next 1-2 weeks and they were still just as delicious - get the cheesy potatoes, they are AMAZING!

They did a casual Clambake for my sports bar and I wasn’t feeling well , but no worries , no sweat. The killed it. Everybody loved it and it was a great deal and delicious. Not one hint of disappointment from anybody. The chicken was amazing the middle neck clams were perfect. We will be hiring them again in the future!

My daughter's wedding was on May 6th, a beautiful day and a perfect day. The weather was touch and go that day and Silver Service Events worked with me to change my plans to Plan B and move all the tables inside the home of Orcutt Ranch. The staff was so helpful and courteous and Aliah was on top of everything, almost knew what I needed before I could even voice it out loud. The food was wonderful!!! I even had a few guests come up to me telling me they had been to other weddings before and this by far was the BEST food they have had. Fresh and yummy and melt in your mouth good. Jerry gave us a tasting a few months ago so we knew how good it really was. He worked with the menu with us, knowing we had some vegans, gluten free and dietary needs. I would use them again for any event! What a jewel to have found.

Everything was fabulous! Analiza and Jerry were wonderful to work with along with the whole team! They helped come up with a great menu within our budget, answered all of our many questions quickly and thoroughly, and were thoughtful about the many details. The food was fantastic and we are still getting compliments on the meal. The staff on the day of the wedding were friendly and professional. One of them even brought us appetizers after the photographs since we were missing the cocktail hour. It was such a pleasure to know that everything was in good hands and that we didn't have to worry about anything. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend!

Silver Service Events was exceptional to work with! Jerry was always on top of it, and very responsive to emails and phone calls. Jerry was also extremely patient and kind as we worked through all the planning details, being willing to repeatedly update the proposal as we changed ideas or needed to add last minute items. He always went above board from the first tasting all the way through the wedding itself.

The food was absolutely great. We got repeated compliments on the food, with several guests saying it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We did a buffet, and Jerry created a beautiful layout. He really listened to what we wanted and delivered.

The staff at Silver Service Events was also great. We received many compliments on how witty and charming the bartender was, and how on top of service the staff was. Overall, we could not have been happier with Jerry and his team. They exceeded our expectations, and really shined at the wedding.

Silver Service catered and provided rentals and open bar for my wedding at Greystone Mansion in August 2016. Although they are not one of their preferred caterers, Silver Service was recommended by Greystone's coordinator and have done severals events at Greystone already, so I had full confidence that they knew the space and understood all the rules. First and foremost, Silver Service quoted me the lowest of the 10 or so caterers I talked to by a sizable margin, plus they also provide all the table and chair rentals I needed . I didn't need any fancy furniture, linens, or lighting because I wanted a clean and sleek wedding look, but they can get you your chivari chairs and bistro lights through a third party and they'd handle the entire order and just bill you at the end.

Communication was absolutely stellar! Jerry is the owner and all email communication with him was met with a response within a day, even if it was to re-do the quote or get a bistro light quote from another vendor. His style of communication is short, sweet, and to the point which I appreciated so much since I was planning my wedding from the Bay Area.

The food itself is not Michelin star level, but it's tasty and well prepared and that's all that mattered to me. I didn't get a chance to try any food beforehand and went with a pretty typical wedding dinner buffet (steak, chicken, veggies, salad). They were able to mass-cook chicken breast and keep it juicy! But even more impressive was the fact that we got to order a whole Lechon (Filipino roast pig.) Definitely the highlight of dinner.

TL;DR: Exceptional value and quick communication. Excellent if you are a no-fuss person who wants things done quickly and efficiently but still loves a clean, sleek, and most of all elegant wedding. Also, Greystone Mansion-approved!

Jerry and his team were so incredible. Everyone is still raving about the food at our wedding, they say it is the best they've had, and it is absolutely true. Our package included tray passed Hors d'oeuvres, cheese and bread display, fruit display, soft drinks, water and coffee, servers bartenders, linens, all of the china, and the wonderful food. We did a sit down service at a venue that had never done it before in the space I chose, so I was very nervous about the outcome. Jerry reassured me he and his team could do it no problem, and he was absolutely correct. The venue loved them so much, they made them a preferred vendor. I cannot over emphasize the importance of things running smoothly on your wedding day, especially at dinner and with drinks etc, but I highly recommend Jerry and Silver service, you will not regret it.

Sorry it took so long for me to write this review. I've been wanting to do so for a long time. But now that I have a chance, I would like to say that Jerry and company were very professional, accommodating, flexible and pleasant to deal with. The wife and I both loved the decoration. They were prompt. They were on point and they treated us like VIP! I can't say any thing negative about our experience with Jerry. In fact we loved the service so much we hired them again for my 40th birthday party. Again the menu was flexible according to your budget. Fast forward 4 years later, I am about to hire them again for my daughter's 3 year old birthday party! We like them that much! Thanks Jerry!

Jerry and Silver Service Events did an absolute incredible job from start to finish for our wedding. From the first tasting and time we met Jerry, we knew he was extremely hard working, trustworthy and had some delicious food!

This vendor was located on the wire and then I checked them out on yelp and other sites. They were professional and went above and beyond to help my client in several ways. I have now used them for another event and plan to use them as often as I can. Jerry was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. The quality of the food was exceptional. This event had a strict vegan menu and they pulled it off wonderfully. The entire staff was 5 star.

Silver Service Events catered our wedding and we could not have been happier. From the tasting through the end of the wedding night itself, Jerry and his team were quick to respond, helpful, flexible with our unique requests (breakfast for dinner buffet & crepe station), friendly...and the food itself was outstanding!

It's also important to note that Jerry actually personally delivered us the original tasting due to our hectic schedule, which was an amazing first impression! But beyond that, the food itself was so tasty and it made our decision to go with Silver Service Events incredibly easy.

In the months leading up to the wedding, Jerry was so quick to respond and helpful with every detail, from food questions to rentals to costs and everything in between. Then on the night of our event, the team was there and everything proceeded perfectly. The waitstaff & bartenders were incredibly friendly, helpful, funny and calm, making their presence and work the perfect complement to the evening. Our guests were so impressed by the food (most of whom went back for several plate refills) and the staff, as were we.

We would strongly recommend Silver Service Events to any of our friends getting married or having events in the LA area...thank you so much!

There are times in life when it almost seems too simple to accomplish a task that should be very labor intensive - this was one of those occasions. We found Silver Service Events / Jerry on the Wedding Wire / Knot websites. The reviews were great, so we figured that they would be out of our price range. Nonetheless, we contacted them for an estimate. We made an appointment with Jerry to come to our house (where the wedding was to be held). Everything we threw at him, he said "no problem". He was also very helpful in making suggestions on how to handle certain things. We waited nervously for the estimate but were pleasantly surprised. He was neck and neck with the lowest estimate that we had received. We then had the tasting, and the food was excellent. This made the decision easy. We kept wondering when the other shoe would drop - but it never did. Everything went off perfectly without a hitch. Everyone loved the food (some even asking for seconds) and service. I can't say enough about Silver Service and Jerry. They will make any gathering an incredible experience.

Everything about working with Silver Service was incredible. We initially contacted them because their prices are so low, and were surprised to find that despite being inexpensive, they are incredibly professional, helpful and high end. We worked with Jerry through the whole process. He was very knowledgeable about everything and helped us make decisions when we were totally clueless. We had an incredible tasting at their offices and they created custom dishes to meet our dietary restrictions and tastes--everyone at the wedding RAVED about the food, and the table displays were so much more than I was ever expecting (big and beautiful!).

Combing rentals with catering definitely made things less expensive for us, and it also helped that one person was directed everything. There was not one hitch in our day or misstep by a single person working there. Everything went flawlessly and it as all due to the precise planning and execution of Silver Service. I cannot say enough positive things about them--we will be rehiring them for the five year anniversary party!

Jerry with Silver Service helped us plan, cater and provide rentals at our incredible wedding at Orcutt Ranch. To our luck, Jerry actually had his own wedding their so he knew the venue incredibly well. Orcutt Ranch is a beautiful place in Canoga Park that is almost a blank canvas to use for the wedding venue and reception. Which meant a lot of planning and coordination was required. My wife and I were on a budget and doing this without a wedding planner so in essence Silver Service helped us this as well and things were flawless. We had a pretty relaxed style and Silver Service filled in the details of whatever was needed and went above and beyond. Neither of us actually got a chance to enjoy any of the appetizers but the rest of the food was wonderful and we have heard time and time again by everybody what a beautifully catered event it was. The staff was extremely professional and just all around a 5 star experience. I have been getting work out to friends and will continue to recommend Silver Service and in particular Jerry for a great experience. I look forward to the day we can use Silver Service again in the future. Lastly, as mentioned before we were on a budget and Silver Service was actually the best priced provider for rentals and catering that we got quotes for. You truly cannot beat the service and quality you will receive.

Jerry and the entire staff at Silver Service are AMAZING! When looking for a wedding caterer we received a quote from everyone and their mama. Not only I was impressed by the quote and what was included but the communication was the best! We hadn't even tried the food and just had a feeling Silver Service was going to be it! Jerry personally drove down for a food tasting to our home in Orange County. That alone was amazing and without any strings attached or any promises from us. We figured since the food traveled an hour, we figured not to expect it to be that amazing and boy did we get proven wrong!

EVERYTHING was delicious and tasted like it had just came out of a kitchen of a fancy restaurant. Nothing tasted like it was sitting an hour in traffic or like other "wedding" food. It was TOP NOTCH! We were almost too excited! Jerry also knew we were in a budget and this was not budget food whatsoever, it was fancy wedding type of food. he also didn't try to over sell us on anything. In fact I can be a pain in the booty and he worked with me so patiently and made everything work so I got what I wanted and didn't up sell me, he knew how to get what I wanted and at the prefect price.

Forward to the wedding month. Our day of coordinator asked me to show her my contracts so she knew everything that was being delivered and she COULD NOT BELIEVE the catering contract. Her socks were blown off. She told me she has never seen such a detailed and professional contract with so much detail and she could also not believe the type of food that was coming our way and with the final price. Extremely impressed to say the least and this was once again before even the wedding day LOL

Actual wedding day was amazing and people are still raving about how amazing the food was! I cant imagine ever throwing a party in the future without their catering!

Silver Service Events impressed me from the very start. I found them through great reviews and decided to reach out for more information about possibly catering our wedding. Not only was Jerry completely professional, friendly and 110% willing to adjust to meet our budget, he had one of his thoughtful employees drive 2-3 hours in LA traffic to deliver our tasting! Even though the food sat for quite a while, it was INCREDIBLE! Needless to say I booked with them right away.

Throughout the entire process Jerry was so patient with all of my questions, changes and quote requests... not to mention incredibly responsive! He replied to all inquires in a very timely manner which made planning so much easier.

On the day before the wedding, Jerry and his crew came to deliver everything in preparation for the next day. We had a number of hiccups with the venue but his team was very flexible and happy to adjust. They even agreed to help move some extra lawn furniture that was laying out!

Last but certainly NOT least, the day of the wedding.... the catering crew was AMAZING. All of our guests talked about how delicious everything was! One of the waiters constantly checked up on the bride & groom to make sure we had a drink and our dinner was warm enough. We felt like royalty for sure!

I will absolutely use Silver Service Events for any event in the future as I know I will get WAY beyond what the affordable price tag is worth. Thank you!!!!

We recently used Silver Service Events for our wedding, and we would highly recommend them for a wedding or any other event. Jerry worked meticulously to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it, and responded promptly to our dozens of emails. The day of our wedding, the staff was friendly and professional, everything was on time, and the food was phenomenal. Everyone has been asking us what caterer we used. They are also by far the best priced for such high quality and service. We know many other couples who blew their entire budget on food, only to end up with bland food and not many options. With Silver Service, we were able to get tons of choices for a fraction of what other caterers had quoted us. Also, they did a great job incorporating our signature drinks, wine from our favorite winery, and our preferred specialty beers. We were also really happy with the quality and prices for the rentals. I had my wedding on June 29th, 2013, and Silver Service Events was the contracted/preferred cater from my venue. Silver Service Events was excellent! I have never left either a good or bad review on any vendor, because I normally don’t take the time to do so. But I was so pleased with them that I decided to leave a positive review. I had several issues with my venue due to crazy personnel turnover, but Silver Service Events delivered on everything and exceed my expectations. Luckily Silver Service is just contracted by the venue, and Jerry honored all of our previous arrangements despite the stuff the venue no longer wanted to give me. I had two tastings before my final selection and both of them were very good. The food at the wedding day was amazing, served hot, and served all at the same time. I actually took time during my wedding to go to the kitchen to thank the staff. Food and Service was something really important to me, and I have guests calling me to mention how good the food was. Jerry was super professional, super helpful, and super flexible to accommodate my unusual requests. I would totally recommend them and would use them again if I ever need catering services again. Jerry and his wife Anazalia are a great team at Silver Service! They should be called Gold Services!! They will bend over backwards to make sure the event is perfect! They researched new menu items, tested recipes, quick to change at the last minute and made everything run smoothly and perfectly! The food was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and hard working. As an event planner, they were to best caterer to partner with! I would highly recommend them over and over again! Oh Jerry....I have no idea what I would have been without him. He created a wedding for me that I had not dreamed possible. From the food, to the venue, to the service and his amazing staff, there was no detail left uncovered. People came hungry and walked away stuffed beyond belief. They were raving about the china, the linens, the ambiance....anything you can imagine Jerry and his attentive staff took care of it all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Jerry for giving me the wedding of the century.

Silver Service Events is a top-notch, first class catering company. They recently catered my wedding, and the food, organization and execution was absolutely wonderful! When I met Jerry at the venue he guided me through the whole process, helping me create my vision while staying on budget. I really wanted to have a fun wedding and that's what I got! :) Everyone had a great time! The food was fantastic! Not only did guests come up to me during the wedding saying how great the food was, but even now when I talk to people about the wedding- they always mention how great the food was. Jerry, Analiza and the entire staff at Silver Service Events are professional, polite, responsible and an absolute pleasure to work with!

Silver Service Events was absolutely phenomenal!

They have years of experience and know how to handle the flow of weddings. We had just under 200 guests and really wanted a backyard BBQ feel to our wedding. The Executive Chef whose name escapes me came up to me toward the end of the night to make sure the food was to my tastes. I let her know that it was EXACTLY what we were looking for in comfort food.

Jerry during the months leading up to the wedding and Robin on the day of the wedding were so thoughtful and very easy to work with. Our guests (even the littlest ones) enjoyed the hamburger feast all night!

Most of our guests didn't even notice the servers because they were so smart about when to clear the tables, when to serve the drinks, and when to serve the desserts without being intrusive.

Silver Service also set up our reception during the ceremony and it turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank you, Silver Service, you really made our wedding incredibly memorable for us and all our guests.

Fabulous catering service!!! They were attentive to our needs, punctual, effecient. The food was wonderful and enjoyed by all my guest! What a fabulous cheese, fruit & bread display!! The prime rib was well seasoned, tender, moist! The wait staff was very attentive, helpful and professional! I am very picky about food, everything was fantastic!! Kudos to the chef ( sorry we didn't get to meet) and kudos to the staff!

Silver Service Events and their staff provided me & my husband such a magical evening. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful event. The level of service that we received from Silver Service Events made everything perfect! The owner, Jerry, was amazing! He was at my beck and call every step of the way in the planning process. Our servers, Aaron and Robin made our night completely stress free. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, beautiful set up, efficient clean up, and over all tone of our wedding reception will not be forgotten. The food was delicious! Everyone kept raving about the Italian meatballs (in red sauce) especially. Silver Service Events made our wedding reception exactly what we had hoped for. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts. We highly recommend them for your wedding reception, party, you name it. We cannot sing their praises enough.

I know people may see this review and think "there is no way they deserve a 5/5 in every category", but this is true for Silver Service Events. Allow me to justify:

Quality of Service: My bride and I were so busy on the day of our wedding that we seriously forgot to eat. Upon arriving at our reception, Silver Service Staff searched us out (the bridal party was gathering in a separate room) to make sure we ate some appetizers. They checked on us throughout the entire night to make sure we had food, drink, cake, etc.

Responsiveness: Every time I had a question about the menu or services my emails were returned promptly. When things got a bit confusing by email, I received a phone call.

Professionalism: The staff at our reception was very polite and professional. To be honest, the ONLY complaint we received from one of our guests at the reception was that she wanted a "saltier piece of tri-tip" and that Silver Service staff only brought her a salt shaker. (I don't think our guest realized that they didn't season each piece individually).

Value: We shopped around and were on a budget, and Silver Service provided an amazing spread and dinner for what we had to work with. Silver Service even threw in an "extra" or two for us, for which we were extremely grateful.

Flexibility: Both during our conversations about setup and catering and during the actual reception Silver Service treated us like we were the "boss". Granted, there were times when we wanted certain things and were suggested better options (which we ended up following), but those suggestions were made courteously and professionally.

Overall we were glad and grateful that we went with Silver Service Events for our wedding reception.

For my 35th party i decided to have it catered so that i could actually be a guest at my own party. We had about 30 people total. I did a few searches online and submitted some online inquiries. Jerry send me an email with a sample menu and pricing very quickly. Other caterers said they would call me back or needed a week to send me a quote, so i was immediately impressed with how quickly Jerry responded. He even offered to come look at the property and make recommendations for where table set ups, buffet, etc. should go. We went back and fourth with the menu a lot and i really drove Jerry crazy, but he always replied to my emails promptly and was always positive. Jerry really cared that i was happy and was wanted to accommodate my budget and i was very happy with the final menu and price. The caterers/servers (Christa and Robert) showed up 1/2 before their scheduled time which was great and they were very nice and professional. The bartender, Barrett was also very nice and made great drinks. The food was very good. We provided our own desert and Christa and Robert were happy to cut it up and serve it. All in all i really was able to be a guest at my own party. Christa and Robert both even offered to make me a plate but i was actually pretty full from the yummy appetizers. The sliders were amazing. The brushetta was pretty garlicy but delicious. After the party was over they cleaned up and even helped move all the furniture back. It was truly a pleasure having silver service cater my event and i would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to throw a special event.

I could NOT have been happier with the job that Jerry and his team at Silver Service Events did for our wedding. He took our event on at the last minute, as wedding planning goes, and he managed to pull everything together very professionally. He was very understanding and worked within our budget, giving us more than we'd expected to be able to get. Our guests RAVED about how delicious the food was and how amazing their service was. Every time my husband and I turned around, his staff had provided us with a plate or refilled our drink. And, in true LA style, our sweet bartender had been a body double for Anne Hathaway, which pleased the single men in the crowd. I'd HIGHLY recommend Silver Service!

I cannot express my gratitude to Jerry and his staff. From the first time I spoke to him on the phone I felt peace that my wedding day would be amazing. And boy did Jerry go out of his way to meet all of my needs as well as my mothers lol. The two of us together prolly gave him 5000 headaches but he never once showed any frustration. As a matter of fact when my mom and I would argue he would step in and help us meet both our needs. Whenever I would email him he would respond so fast and was always accommodating!

The day of my wedding I was a nervous wreck but super excited. I left Jerry to do everything I didn't
want to have a ton of vendorsrunning around. So he was able to provide me with all my floral arragments, rentals , set up and break down, catering and he even provided me a photographer. I cried
when I saw the final set up. I cried when I saw all my flowers and I must say the food was out of this
world. I didn't hear one complaint about it and my family and I are big foodies. Ppl came to me after
dinner asking me where I found the caterer! I pointed right over to the man and his team. The servers
were great and very friendly. I had the staff come up to me and my husband making sure we were okay
and always with smiles. I even had the chef come to us at the end of the night and I thought it was way
cool!

I will always recommend Silver Service. As a matter of fact I have a huge company's Christmas party that I have to plan and will be giving Jerry a call soon :)

i used jerry and his amazing team to cater my wedding and i couldn't have been happier!

if you ask my husband or anyone else who knows me well, i am seriously a fat kid at heart. i love food! so the quality of food was a very big deal for me. jerry was so accommodating to me, and basically made a customized menu for me from scratch! needless to say, the food was amazing! he made this incredible butternut squash sea bass that was to die for! ppl were actually coming up to me to tell me how much they loved all the food!

not only was their food amazing but their service staff was the nicest, sweetest, most helpful ppl! i have been to many, many weddings and i have never seen such a smiley, energetic wait staff in my life! i loved them so much i almost wanted to steal them to work at my restaurant, but i would never do that to jerry ;)

overall, if you want a caterer who is extremely helpful and accommodating + amazing food + an incredibly professional and friendly wait staff hire silver service!!!

I have to say that I was amazingly happy with them. If you have read their reviews, you'll always read about Jerry...Jerry this...Jerry that. There's a reason, he's awesome to work with. He is polite, responsive and has an awesome tempermant to be dealing with anxious wedding couples. Silver Service knows what they are doing and the prices are much lower than the competition. So much so that my wife and I were skeptical about quality at first. But in the end, they delivered. The rentals were classy and the food was great. We had many European guests and so making a menu was tough, but Jerry worked with us throughout the process. You won't be disappointed. The venue were got married at wants to have Silver Service as their preferred catering service.

One thing. Unfortunately Silver Service does not use a showing room with multiple guests to taste, so at first we could not tell what the overall presentation would look like. But instead Jerry even had people deliver the food directly to our apt as we tried to determine the menu.

I would recommend Silver Service catering to anyone!!! We hired them for our wedding and they are a one stop shop for everything. Jerry was our Day of Coordinator and they provided our food, tables, chairs, chuppah, linens, china & outdoor lighting & umbrellas. They came to our house for our food tasting (so awesome!). We got to see first hand what their staff was like, what the china was going to look like and we got to taste the food and pick out our linens right on the spot. The food is delicious. We had stuffed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail and bruschetta, then Tri Tip & Cheese Lasagna for our meal. The salad, veggies, roasted potatoes and breads were all excellent. We had people going back to the buffet for 2nd and 3rd helpings!!! Everyone was polite and very attentive. They made sure the wedding party was fed during photos and my husband and I had plates made up for us and brought to our table so that we could mingle with our guest rather than stand in line at the buffet. Jerry was so attentive - answering all of my texts, emails and phone calls and coming to my house to pick things up and meeting with us to make sure everything was in order. They saw to every detail. His assistant Krista was great as well. She was pleasant and very very helpful too! The staff is just wonderful. I am so glad that I chose them to cater/coordinate our wedding!!! If the ratings went up to 10 stars... they would get 11!!!

I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! Jerry was the best person to work with! We changed our menu like 8 times times and he was always so helpful. We went from sit down dinner to cocktail, we changed our venue 4 times but the always constant thing was Jerry! The food was delicious, the service was amazing and the price was affordable. Jerry worked with our budget to make every penny worth while! I will totally use this company again.

Lucchese Catering was recommended by a co-worker of mine who hired them to cater a party.

They have many different wedding packages on their website to choose from. My fiance and I spoke to Kim and she was able to customize a menu to fit our needs and budget. The food was excellent the day of the tasting and of the wedding. The two servers they provided were great! They set up our cake for us and even cut and served it at no extra charge (the cake was not provided by Lucchese). The servers did everything they could to make our dinner go smoothly.

The rental company that they provided was very reasonably priced.

I would highly recommend and use Luchesse again.

We worked with Jerry for Catering and with Analiza (and her sidekick Aliah) for Coordination.

Jerry immediately left a very positive impression that carried through our entire wedding experience. The initial tasting was amazing with a lot of food! He was willing to work within our budget, and accommodated our suggestions and changes throughout the process of working together. He was also great at providing suggestions. Given how large of a company they are, they also have furniture rental available that was hundreds of dollars cheaper than other quotes we were getting (and for great quality furniture that suited our venue and the look we wanted). The majority of our guests were coming from other countries, and Jerry was very gracious with accommodating last minute changes in our guest lists. The day of went very smoothly. Guests gave a lot of feedback on the service, the quality of food, and the aesthetics of the setup!

We hired Analiza a few months before the wedding, and she was quick to get right to work. She helped me organize my "to do" list, and checked in/was available often as I worked through the list. She offered many helpful suggestions along the way, including a cheaper/more delicious option for our cake, and taking me to the wholesale flower market at 6am (with Aliah) so that I could make my own floral centrepieces (which were hundreds of dollars cheaper!). She also helped me to get a good deal for the flower vases. On the day-of, Analiza, Aliah and the rest of the team helped us to have a great day by assisting with time management, guests, transportation, set up, clean up, and dropping off gifts/left over alcohol/etc in the bridal suite. I would 100% recommend Analiza and her team for coordination as they were absolutely fantastic and easy to work with!

The service should be renamed "5 star service events". The staff was amazing to say the least! They were pure professionals in all areas. I'd interviewed other caterers but they were not like Jerry in terms of their responsiveness or their ability to work with you. So, I decided to take a chance on Jerry Bernat - Silver Service Events. I was not disappointed. He did every thing he promised he'd do. I would highly recommend this gentleman to anyone considering a wedding or any formal event.

Wonderful experience. My husband and I used this service for our daughter's wedding. The staff showed up on time and was very professional, helpful and friendly. We ordered the buffet. Silver Service is great! Their food is delicious and you can't beat their prices.

As a wedding planner, I am always looking for vendors that provide exceptional quality, of course, but it is even better to find vendors that are wonderful to work with behind the scenes. Jerry is always great about custom-building a menu that will not only taste amazing, but will fit within my clients' budget and culinary requests, which ultimately allows them to get the most "bang for their buck" when it comes to the catering portion of their wedding.

Jerry is also great about display ideas! I've shared inspiration photos with him about how we'd like our appetizers or meals to be served/displayed to the guests and he has done a wonderful job at bringing our ideas to life.

The Silver Service staff professional, friendly, and speedy - very helpful. In general, (as with all caterers), I recommend hiring a few servers above the minimum requirement for your headcount if you can afford to, especially during cocktail hour and the meal service portion of the reception to keep the food circulating at optimum efficiency, but either way, you can't go wrong with this team.

It is a real pleasure working with Silver Service, especially with Jerry Bernat and his Banquet Lead, Kim, and I continue to enlist their services often.

silver service was exactly what we were looking for . . . a flexible, affordable catering company who could work with 430 guests. worked exclusively with jerry and he was wonderful. he had tons of ideas and was professional and flexible. the whole evening went smoothly. i would definitely use silver service again. as far as the food, it's average tasting but for feeding 430 guests, it worked out great! also, we rented everything from them: linens, silverware, heating lamps, etc.

I thought that Silver Service Events did a great job catering our reception. Throughout the process, I dealt mainly with Jerry Bernat, one of the managers and he was absolutely phenomenal. He was extremely responsive and very flexible. We had a rather larger reception (240 guests) with a sit-down dinner and they did a great job coordinating the food service. The selling point with me with Silver Service was the value for what we got. They have plates starting at $9.95 per person. Our price per head was not that low because of our entree selections, the appetizers and the fact that it was sit-down service and not buffet style, but it was still very affordable. They also provided our table linens, tables, china, glasses and flatware for us for a very reasonable cost. They were great. I highly recommend them!

Hiring SSE to cater my bridal shower was the BEST thing I could've done! From start to finish, Jerry was very helpful and always responded in a timely manner to my every request. Not only was the setup beautiful, but the food was delicious as well! Not to mention their pricing was very reasonable compare to other event planners. I would definitely recommend SSE to my friends!

Planning the wedding was an enjoyable experience. Service during the reception was less than desirable - but I guess you get what you pay for! First, they couldn't find their wine key so no wine was served during the cocktail hour. Next, they set up my cake on a rinky-dink table which almost toppled when we cut the cake. Additionally, the servers did not follow the original set-up plan and I had to tell them to set up the sweetheart table at the front, not on the side behind trees!

Sliver Service Events was our Caterer for our wedding. It was a huge disappointment in the end. Jerry was the person who represented Silver Service Events. He was awesome and worked very close to our wedding menu and everything. He understood us and gave us good choices within our budget. He replied to our emails within minutes. He told us that he won’t be around on our wedding day, but our six servers will know what to do.

On our wedding day, we never saw our six servers. Maybe 4 servers and one of them was very mean to our guests. That mean server threw a cup at my husband after he made a joke to his friend. It was an off color joke but the joke wasn’t about her. We had guests seeing the servers throwing away the wedding favors, origami decorations, and table numbers. We were told by Jerry that anything left at the venue will be put together and given them back to us. We were also told that the leftover food at the buffet table would be put together in boxes and given back to us. Our guests said that the servers were only giving very little portions of food to them and they saw leftover food. We never got anything back from our caterer. Jerry never told us who was in charge of the servers or who was the main server. No one ever came to us and asked us what time and where some of the things needed to be set up until we saw a problem. Jerry did end up being at the venue during our wedding. But it seemed like he was busy with something else.

There was a long waiting line for getting not only alcohol, but also sodas from the bartender. It was the only place to get any kind of drinks other than water. The cups were small and had too much ice leaving little room for soda.

Our bridesmaid, groomsman and the person in charge of the venue were helping us to set up and tear down the things that were supposed to be done by the servers. Where were our SERVERS? It seem like there was another wedding the day after our wedding at the venue. Did they go to prepare for the next wedding?

We gave Jerry a map of where to put our photographers table during our reception. Somehow our Photographers’ table ended up far away from us. The servers excuse was that all the weddings prior to ours had been placed in another room from the main room. We told them to move the table to where we wanted. They were planning to move the table in between the guests’ tables when they could have used another door, closer to the area they needed to set up at. Of Couse, that didn’t happen because we stopped them on their way there.
During our wedding, the servers kept walking in and out through the fake walls/doors right behind our main guests’ tables. They could have used other doors so they won’t bother our guests, but they didn’t. It was only a couple of steps out of the way!

We order a couple vegetarian plates for some guests. We told Jerry which tables needed vegetarian plates before our wedding day but no server ever severed them. If our guests were supposed to tell the servers that they needed vegetarian plates, at least let us know so we could tell our guest beforehand. Our vegetarian guests were only eating very little from the buffet table instead a meal that was already ordered for them.

We ordered a spot light that was supposed to be placed above our arch. We saw a spot light but it was somewhere else and it was hurting our eyes when they turned it on from that direction. Since it wasn’t working, we didn’t use it.

We tried to avoid getting mad at our caterer on our wedding day for not doing their job. My husband clammed me down when I was going to yell at the sever placing the photographer in the wrong place. All of our bridesmaids, groomsman, friends and families were working really hard on our day, and so we all had fun.

Edit:

Sliver Service Events contracted us and were willing to apologize and fix the problems. Jerry made us feel better about the whole thing. He said they will work on changing the cup size and will also make sure that their employees do a better job for their upcoming weddings/events.

Unprofessional and Understaffed

I attended my brothers wedding and the wedding was beautiful however, the catering company was not professional. They served the food extremely late and cold, as well as many people didn't receive their food. I was the best man and was giving the toast and was supposed to have an ube shot in my hand during the toast which was also supposed to be handed to all the guests, however, I never received mine and many others didn't either. I highly recommend staying away from this company for your wedding. They were extremely understaffed, unorganized and unprofessional. I would recommend not spending so much money and not knowing what you are going to get.

They will embarrass you…

Unfortunately we were tricked by the good reviews and are confused who wrote them as they were super unprofessional and ill-prepared for my wedding. They served dinner 3 hours late (closer to the end of the wedding!) Guests were so hungry many were tempted to postmate food to the venue (eeek!!!). They were well aware of timeline and guest count over a year prior and especially months before the day. Dinner was set to be 6:30/7 pm and per cctv plates did not come out unit 9:44 pm to be exact. Cocktail hour began 5 pm so you can imagine the time between cocktail and when guests actually got to eat. Some table settings were missing chargers. No waters on table. Guests had our late night treat dessert prior to dinner as service was so late. Even worse, this company does not care if they embarrassed you as long as they got your money already. Total lack of communication. It was bad before the wedding now, now that she’s got our money she disappeared and calls go straight to voicemail. Dont go with them and save yourself a headache!

The Only Mistake Of The Wedding

I hired this company for my wedding in Los Angeles. Big mistake. They came understaffed for my 300+ person wedding. Food was served 2.5 hours late. Guests complained because they were so hungry. They were extremely unprofessional. Not even water served to the guests? Do not rely on them. Communication is terrible. It would be better for you to save your money than to pay silver service because your guests will have the same experience if you hire silver service or don’t hire any catering at all. I should have gone with Hungry Bear, as I witnessed their service at a friends wedding. It is night and day between the two.

Unfortunately, I was SO unimpressed with this vendor. I had used them previously for a memorial and they were great, but they were so disappointing on my wedding day. First off, they were unresponsive to many emails from my wedding coordinator who had created the timeline so they knew exactly what time they were supposed to be there and set up to begin my wedding with cocktail hour. They were almost two hours late to my wedding and did not even have all of the appetizers that I had ordered. People were starving! When I booked them, I had decided to have them set up the appetizer tables, serve dinner buffet style, refill water glasses for my guests, take plates when my guests were done with their meal and scrape the plates. They were very lazy when it came to both refilling water glasses AND taking the plates when my guests were done. The plates would sit there for a while until the servers came around to take them. The straw that broke the camels back was when the servers decided to start dancing on the dance floor with my guests. So completely unprofessional. My mother has since spoken to the company and got a refund for the appetizers and that is it. The gentleman she had spoke to was very rude and unapologetic. I wish I had chosen another caterer for my wedding but what's done is done!
