Mimi and her team at Signature Affair were our wedding planner and also our caterer.
Catering: The #1 comment we get about our wedding is, "the food was so good!" and "that's the best food I've ever had at a wedding. Or even some fancy restaurants!". The catering is some of the best food I have ever had. We had 130 guests at a farmhouse wedding in Helvetia Oregon. SA has books worth of tried and true recipes - they can create a menu to meet whatever your heart desires. An oven is brought to the property and the food is cooked FRESH on site.
Wedding planning: (partial wedding planning package) With decades of wedding planning, Mimi and her team are experts. They are incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, kind, and helpful. They know when you need extra guidance, but also let you create and execute your own vision.
They go above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you hoped for; they are as invested in your day as you are. You will not find a better company or team. I can honestly say there was not a single thing that went wrong on the wedding day (I'm sure there was - but I didn't know about it because Mimi and team took care of it ALL!). 100% highly highly recommended. -

Mimi and her team are amazing - she was also our partial coordinator and she made sure to be available for us whenever we needed her. She was very detailed with the catering offerings - helped us determine the right amount of food for our headcount and delivered a meal our guests are still talking about weeks later. -

A brunch to remember!
Mimi and her team helped us throw a brunch wedding for 80 of closest family and friends! She was beyond a pro and took such great care of us on the day. She was very available for calls and emails and walk throughs ahead of our event. Would highly recommend if you want a seasoned veteran to help you with your big day! -

Mimi Bass, Signature Affair, is hands down the reason our wedding was perfect. There is not one thing we would have changed or wished to have gone differently. Mimi and her team provided the planning and catering and curated a princess wedding with incredible food at an affordable price. Mimi's attention to detail and understanding of our needs was exceptional. She found a florist and photographer at the level of service and price we wanted, and the results of the flowers and photos are phenomenal. Signature Affair's catering was a delicious work of art. The menu met everyone's dietary needs, and every dish was something you would find at a five-star restaurant. We truly enjoyed working with Mimi. She hand-held us through the process with sage advice and made the planning fun. We were on a strict budget, but Mimi somehow took our budget and made a magical, fancy, perfectly run wedding that we will always cherish. -

Mimi and the whole Signature Affair team are WONDERFUL to work with! Prior to the wedding, Mimi was there for me anytime I needed her to answer any questions I had and to help me stay organized. Her assistant Lana would always follow-up with me via email to send over helpful information (vendor suggestions, packing lists, timeline drafts, etc.) and summarize what Mimi and I had talked about so I could keep track of my to-do list. On the wedding day, Mimi made sure everything ran smoothly and turned out how I envisioned it perfectly. She kept everything on schedule and handled all the vendors, and even packed up most of our reception site for us at the end of the night so we wouldn't have much to do in the morning. We seriously couldn't have done it without her and her crew!
Not to mention, the food was amazing! We had multiple guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had (and they've been to a lot of weddings). Our guests particularly raved about the beef tenderloin and how it was perfectly cooked. My husband and I are vegetarian, and Mimi went above and beyond by customizing our menu so that the two of us could have a veggie version of the meal (portabella "steaks" - yum!).
All in all, book Signature Affair for your wedding!! You will definitely not regret it :) -

Mimi and the Signature Affair team were an incredible joy to work with! My whole experience working with the team was nothing but positive. Mimi is a seasoned pro in the wedding industry, and from my first call with her, I knew I would be in secure hands to have the Signature Affair team make my dream wedding come true. Even better, Mimi worked so well within our budget and even gave us amazing suggestions that I never would have thought of in the first place. If you're a clueless bride like I was, the team will thoroughly walk you every step of the way to make sure your vision is being brought to life.
We originally asked the team to cater our event, but we also decided to work with Mimi as our day-of coordinator at the very last minute (like a couple weeks before our wedding). Mimi graciously accepted out of the goodness of her heart... and her level of quality
and professionalism was unmatched! This is definitely worth mentioning because even though the Signature Affair team has a record number of events/brides that they work with, you wouldn't even know it by how special/prioritized you are treated in every consultation. Lastly, my wedding was pulled off without a hitch! Mimi lets you be as hands-on/hand-off as you want for your wedding, and I really just gave her full control of the day because I trusted her that much. She's incredible at reading your guests and knows exactly how timing should be worked depending on the flow/vibe of the wedding. At the end of the night, I had nothing but raving compliments about the food, service, and the SA team. This is your sign to contact them now - you will NOT regret it!
Bonus: Mimi also put my cake flowers on my wedding cake and it was breathtaking! -

This is a long review.
I want to say in the beginning that I would recommend that you contact Signature Affair as soon as you choose a date. They are an incredibly knowledgeable team and most importantly, they want to help you have the event that You want. You will thank your lucky stars that you found them early enough to get booked.
Signature Affair provided excellent guidance and service for our 50th wedding Anniversary in our backyard in mid August. I contacted Mimi in mid April for our event in mid August. We were headed to our son’s wedding on the east coast in mid May, then an extended trip in Europe and would not return until mid July.
Although she was already booked for our date, she offered to help us find vendors, review back yard to suggest how to accommodate 50+ guests, and share her event planning experience with us. She came to our house with sample menus, chair, table cloth options, and an experienced eye for setting up guest tables, seating, self service beverages ( we provided our own beverages- alcoholic and non alcoholic). In a couple of hours we had a solid skeleton of everything we needed for our event, and made preliminary reservations with an estimate of the number of guests. We also had cost estimates for everything. Mimi and her team found an available caterer for international food, secured reservations for (including set up and take down) tables, table cloths, chairs, and party accessories, Mimi agreed to do flower arrangements for the tables ( delivered them the day before) and facilitated all contracts for us to sign with vendors. And everything was open to modification when we returned in July. We had no worries while we were gone :-)
Upon our return, in the midst of their MANY scheduled events, Signature Affair contacted us to make final decisions, Mimi came to our house again, took notes on our discussion and sent us a list of things we agreed to do ( including a shopping list) and a list of things she would do (including delivery schedule.
We have been the parents of the bride and parents of the groom for our two children’s weddings outside of Portland (which were wonderful). We value quality, advice that reflects our “vision”, and personable and caring staff.
Signature Affair provided top quality service at a very reasonable price for our less than a wedding, but way more than a party celebration. They are truly on your side and will help you make your dreams come true.

Mimi was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. We initially hired her for catering and when we found out she also coordinates weddings there was no question, we didn't need to look anywhere else. Her team along with her in-office coordinator, Lauri, were so accommodating and quick-on-their-feet with everything I asked of them. Mimi took care of the behind-the-scenes of all things coordinating when needed and the food was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Guests were going back for seconds and thirds, even little ones were raving about how incredible it tasted. Mimi puts everything into her work and it resulted in the most amazing night for me and my husband. I hope to one day be able to work with her again, I couldn't recommend her enough! -

Amazing - Creative - Responsive
Mimi and her team were amazing to work with while planning the October 1st wedding. Her creative innovation and fiscal awareness crafted a lovely outdoor wedding and high energy reception on the event grounds of The Barn at Countryside. The location requires a good amount of decor and design to bring a romantic wedding vision to life --- and she she nailed it! We hired her as the wedding coordinator, onsite event manager and the caterer and will use her again in the future. She is delightful, communicative and committed and we appreciated her from start to finish. -

Above & Beyond!
Mimi & her staff were incredible! Our wedding was originally scheduled for July 2020, but due to the pandemic, we postponed for the following summer. Mimi was our wedding coordinator & caterer. She was readily available for us to work with as well as the other vendors we hired. This was especially helpful as my husband and I live in another state.
When the rehearsal & big day finally came, my husband & I felt completely at ease knowing that Mimi was in control of everything. Our bridesmaids & groomsmen also commented on how friendly & down to earth Mimi was with each of them. Her staff was very helpful & kind. The food, oh my gosh, the food was impeccable! We received so many compliments on the food, especially the chicken & beef tenderloin.
Overall, Mimi & her staff were amazing. Our beautiful wedding wouldn’t have been made possible without them. Thank you for everything, Signature Affair!

Mimi Bass is AMAZING! I wish I could write 2 reviews for her because she was not only by caterer but also my wedding coordinator. She did everything in her power to make my wedding day special and she exceeded my expectations! Her food was amazing - the steak was so tender it melted in your mouth and my wedding guests are still raving/asking me about it days after the event. The mashed potatoes and mushroom bites were phenomenal as well. What is most amazing about Mimi is that she made me feel like I was her only bride. Months leading up to the wedding, her assistant, Lana, and her would check in on me weekly to make sure I didn't have any questions or need anything. She was also able to get a tent at the last minute to cover me and my guests on our 106 degree wedding day (Oregon in June, who knew?!). Mimi and her team have done nothing but impress me and my guests and I could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator or caterer -

Mimi and her team were absolutely wonderful through the wedding planning process. They made it so easy to customize exactly what we wanted with their extensive (yummy!) menu options, and were so flexible through many unforeseen circumstances. They are quick to respond, fun to work with, and helped coordinate rentals for us as well. The food is delicious from appetizers through dessert. I'd recommend Signature Affairs Catering to anyone planning their event. -

We had a great experience using Signature Affair for our wedding catering. We had to feed about 235 guests, and Mimi met with us multiple times before the wedding to help us create a menu that we loved, for such a large volume of people. On the day of, she went above and beyond, doing things such as decorating our cake (made by a family friend) with leftover flowers from our florist. She advocated on our behalf when our friends accidentally marred the sheet rock walls in our venue as they were transporting our arbor upstairs- we got our full security deposit back thanks to her conversation with the venue staff, explaining the situation. Excellent service during the event- staff were 'invisible,' doing their job so efficiently and unobtrusively that you wouldn't even notice they were there. Would definitely recommend to all our friends who want quality food from an experienced caterer! -

We cannot say enough kind words about Mimi and her team. From the very beginning, Mimi was nothing but kind, accommodating, attentive, and just overall extremely helpful. Once we talked for the first time, she gave us a range of menus varying in both the offerings and prices to accommodate our budget and dietary preferences (we wanted to do a GF menu since some of our guests had issues with gluten). We were happy to see that it was no problem at all to create a sophisticated menu with this in mind. Additionally, Mimi made a lot of wonderful suggestions (like our wedding was at the winery, and she suggested making a sauce with the wine from there), helped us a huge deal with the rentals and the cake and was frequently checking in on us during the wedding to make sure we're not starving. We highly recommend Mimi, food was fantastic, service was excellent, and the value she brings to the table (pun intended) cannot be beaten! -

Mimi worked closely with us to know our desires and quirks, and to help us plan our unique at home wedding event where our friend was to be the primary caterer. Unfortunately that plan went awry close to the date, and on short notice Mimi was able to provide friendly, experienced and efficient staff for us, and to-die-for appetizers. Everything from renting tent, tables, dishes, serving gear, etc. through set up and tear down went so smoothly with no new surprises ;-) -

I’m originally from OR, but my husband and I currently live near Lake Tahoe and as you can imagine planning a wedding out of state can add a lot more stress. Mimi helped me plan everything from the tables and chairs, to the food, and even got all of my other vendors contacts and coordinated with them, taking that off my plate. The day of my wedding I was the most calm and relaxed I’d been since we started planning and was able to enjoy every second of my big day! Did I mention the food yet? We had family that was local as well as flew in from Michigan, and everyone was raving about the food. Saying it was not only the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, but the best food they’ve had period! There was not one thing we worried about, and we have so many amazing memories and I have Mimi and her staff at Signature Affairs to thank! I couldn’t recommend them more!

I wish I could give them more than 5 out of 5 because they deserve it. Mimi is organized, calm, accommodating, creative, professional, fun and super sweet! Our wedding turned out spectacular because of Mimi and her amazing staff; a year later our guest are still talking about the amazing food and the exceptional staff. Mimi takes the time to meet, and hear what you would like for your wedding. She would check up on us to make sure we were checking things off our list. If I had any questions, I would send her an email or give her a call and she would respond very quickly. She would work with the budget my husband and I had set and would also offer ideas and have us look at things another way, which was great!!
On the day of the wedding, she never made me feel stressed and if there was any hiccups that day, I knew nothing about it! Mimi was able to make the big day less stressful, everything ran simply and smoothly. It was so nice to relax and enjoy getting ready with everyone. Mimi and her staff goes above and beyond what a typical caterer would offer. They all worked extremely hard and with smiles on their faces the whole time.
We would recommend Mimi Bass to anyone looking for someone to help them plan their dream wedding, she knows her stuff!! Mimi runs an outstanding business with an amazing staff I wouldn’t have had it any other way for our big day! Thank you! -

Every vendor I worked with has heard of Mimi from Signature affair and had such positive things to say about them. Our wedding turned out spectacular because of them and my guest are still raving about the delicious food and outstanding service. The services they provide go above and beyond what a typical caterer would offer! They are an all-encompassing wedding provider. Signature affair assisted me with consultations, planning, rentals, day of event coordinating, set up, tear down and the list goes on...
Mimi took the time to meet with me and really get a feeling of how I wanted my wedding. She wanted to cater everything to what my fiancé and I had envisioned. From there she continually checked up on me throughout the planning phase. Always there to give me her input and suggestions on what needed to happen next to make sure things were on track. I never had a moment where I felt like I could not get in touch with her either through email or phone.
On the day of the wedding things were better than I could have imagined. Especially the feeling of showing up to your venue and seeing all your plans come together. Signature affair was able to be the main point of contact for my vendors to ensure everything happens according to what I had planned. Mimi and her staff took care of some many things behind the scenes. When I was having too much fun she would be there to make sure I was on track with my timeline. Who wants to stress out on the day of their wedding and miss all the important events of the day? Mimi gave me the peace of mind so I could enjoy myself and not worry about the little intricacies of coordinating everything.
The whole wedding was beyond my expectations. It went by in such a flash, but I’m grateful to be able to enjoy the whole day with no worries. Thank you Mimi and your amazing staff for making my special day so incredible!
