The most wonderful people to work with!!!

From the moment I saw Shutter and Sound's portfolio, I knew I needed to work with them for my wedding. Now that my day has passed, I can honestly say that they were worth every penny and then some. I had the honor of filming with Juan and Maria, who brought so much life, laughter, and joy to me, my husband, and our friends and family. They were both professional and personable, to the point that it felt like we were just hanging out with another set of our friends by the end of the night.

The entire planning process leading up to our wedding was also made enjoyable by Shutter and Sound's coordinator, Julian Spessard. Julian is extremely responsive, helpful, and an all-around great personality. I'm sure that coordinating anything wedding-related during these uncertain times is not an easy feat, but Julian makes it look not only effortless but fun and exciting, which really helped keep our spirits up when planning got particularly stressful.

I could truthfully write forever about how much I love this company and their staff; I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you SO much Julian, Juan, and Maria, and Shutter and Sound as a whole. If you go with anyone for videography for any event, let it be them--you will be so beyond grateful that you did!!!

An Amazing Experience

Thank you to Mike O. and the Shutter and Sound team for capturing our wedding day so beautifully. From the first interaction, to the last, they were delightful to work with. My wedding day was a bit stressful to start due to some weather challenges and logistical issues, and they just rolled with it all and were so kind to me, my husband and our guests. The team captured every important moment and all the fun in between. Additionally, they turned around our wedding video quickly but also with such high quality. We are so happy we chose Shutter and Sound!

The shutter and sound team were amazing throughout our whole wedding process. Julian and his team were very responsive to all questions and concerns I had, and any hiccups that we ran into they were quick to resolve and more. Even helped calm my wedding nerves a few times lol

Our photo and video team for the day of our wedding were AMAZING! They were quick to just match the energy of the room for both my bridal party and the grooms party, they were laughing with us and made the whole experience so fun while making taking photos and videos way more comfortable and casual than we expected. They were like a fly on the wall during the reception and were very easy to work with and talk to throughout the day. We had a 250+ wedding with a lot of family and people who wanted photos so I was nervous but they made it a breeze.

I could not recommend Shutter and Sound more to anyone to capture their wedding!! Thank you Shutter and Sound!!

Above and Beyond

Shutter and Sound went above and beyond with our wedding video. On the day the videographers were amazing to work with. They got shots where I didn't even know they were around for them! Cannot recommend enough!

We cannot recommend Shutter & Sound enough! From our first meeting to the final product, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. Our videographers (Nick and Owen) were professional and discreet, capturing every moment without feeling intrusive. They worked seamlessly with our photographer and really went the extra mile - even partaking in a grueling beach hike with the groomsmen on the morning of. We received our highlight reel quicker than expected and were amazed at how they were able to capture the joy and love shared by our family and friends. It is so special to be able to live our wedding day over and over again and we cannot wait to receive the rest of the footage! Thank you to the Shutter & Sound team!

The BEST to ever do it!

It was OUR PLEASURE to work with David and his team for our wedding videography! I had multiple vendors tell me that this videography team was the best they have ever worked with. We got our highlight video within a week, and it was BEAUTIFUL! Seriously - they captured all of the little details without me having to even ask about it. Highly recommend!!

Great Experience with Shutter & Sound

We worked with Shutter & Sound for our September 2023 wedding at Portico - Awbury Arboretum.

Kylee was great to work with from the beginning for all things onboarding, support, and planning.

Our day of team was Chris and Christian and they were great, too! They seamlessly blended into the background, capturing candid moments without being intrusive. They caught small and big moments.

I shared with them ahead of time that I wanted to surprise the groom with a happy birthday moment and the team was READY.

Truly a cinematic masterpiece

I can’t say enough what an amazing job Shutter and Sound did with the videography at our wedding!! I will forever be grateful to our videographers Ben and AJ for their amazing skills, professionalism, and just all around presence at our wedding, they were a whole vibe!! The speed that they would move between rooms, get people mic’d up when needed, and always got the perfect shot was just uncanny! When I tell you that the second they introduced themselves and were ready to start rolling they were already a part of the group and made everyone feel extremely comfortable, they were a blast to work with! They worked incredibly well with all of the other vendors, whom they had never met before, especially working so closely with our photographer. They all worked together to get us the absolute best shots and we could not be more grateful! I received my highlight video, and I cannot stop watching it! It was everything I could have asked for and more! Every moment was beautifully captured and I can’t imagine having chosen anyone other than Shutter and Sound as our videographer!

Cinematic Wedding Magic

We knew hiring a videographer was non-negotiable in our wedding planning journey. That led us to Shutter & Sound Films, and their editing style immediately set them apart. Their videos, with cinematic and emotional storytelling are true masterpieces.

Our videographers were kind, patient, and easy to work with, seamlessly capturing the day's emotions. We wanted more than just a recording—we wanted our wedding video to tell the story of our day, evoke emotions, and make us feel the love all over again. The final video is a timeless keepsake, beautifully conveys our day, moving us and our loved ones to tears. Surprisingly, we received the video sooner than expected!

However, one small critique remains: we never got the opportunity to personally connect with the lead and assistant shooter before our wedding day. All communications had to go through the coordinator, making the first meeting on the wedding morning feel a bit abrupt. Establishing a connection with them beforehand would have been a nice touch.

We had a wonderful experience with Shutter and Sounds! Kaylee was our coordinator and Carlton was the head videographer for our Congress Hall wedding on 9/23/23. Their package options were straight forward, we had lots of contact about the plan leading up to the wedding, and our content was delivered quickly! Our videographers were easy to work with on the day of our wedding, integrating into the busy day to capture our day without making us feel uncomfortable or scripted. Amazing team

We had the pleasure of working with Julian Spessard as our wedding coordinator leading up to our big day. He was so responsive and answered every question with patience. It made planning so much less stressful knowing that we were working with someone capable and on top of things. Our lead shooter, Ben, and second shooter, AJ were nothing short of incredible. They made the day essentially stress-free. They were kind, patient, flexible, and so easy to work with. I’m not a big “on camera” person and they worked to make sure we were comfortable and felt good. The final video was AMAZING and captured the day beautifully. We were blown away. We couldn’t recommend this team more!!!

SO happy!!

I can’t say enough to really explain how happy we are with shutter and sound. We worked with Julian and he was so sweet and we loved having him around us our whole wedding day. We watched our video for the first time yesterday and our jaws dropped. Julian was with us all day but we never even noticed him getting all the incredible shots he got. The video was unbelievable. Everything about it, I wouldn’t change a THING. Every single important moment I hoped was in the video, even moments I didn’t think about, were in the video. He made sure to include moments that he could tell meant a lot to us in the moment. It’s like he read our mind. Can't say enough good things about our experience working with Shutter and Sound for our wedding! Their communication throughout the booking and planning process was fantastic - Kaitlin was a true professional, responsive, and always kind in her communications.

Our wedding day team - Kyle and Kat - were just tremendous. They truly helped make our day so much fun. It started when they arrived and immediately expressed their excitement and congratulations, followed by giving me (the bride) sneak peaks of some of the drone footage while I was in hair and makeup. Their kindness, enthusiasm, and attention to detail throughout the wedding day and evening were fantastic.

Finally, the editing of our highlight and full length videos was so special to us. We knew to expect good quality, but we were left speechless with the incredible job the team did in putting together so many important memories from our wedding day. We really felt like they captured the essence of what it felt like to be at our wedding, and these will be such special keepsakes for us and our family.

So, So good! We're a happy couple

We are immensely happy with our experience with shutter and sound films. They provided 2 days of video coverage for our weddings and we couldnt be happier with the result. Mike and Paul were incredible professionals to work with making my wife and I feel at ease with the entire process during the events. They were both really easy going and great to hang out with as well.
Kaitlin has been exceptional at keeping in touch and ensuring that the final deliverables met our expectations. Shutter and sound films have a unique style which drew us to them, and I was very happy with the experience leading up to the wedding as they took all the guess work out. They are clear that they will deliver to their artistic vision from the very beginning although they still paid attention to the kinds of styles and shots we like through various questionnaires and constant communication.

Initially I found it a bit odd that we had no communication with our video team leading up to the event as this was all handled by the coordinator but the end result was fantastic! They are clearly experienced with wedding videography and the system they have put in place works!

Mike's way of framing shots and quietly capturing all the little details of our experience and wedding was impressive and all in all I couldn't recommend this company more. We now have a little cinema quality movie of our special day that we get to keep forever. The multi-cam edit was an added bonus that I would recommend to capture the little details you may have missed in the middle of all the 'day of' stresses. Book shutter and sound! you won't regret it.

Wedding video!

I used shutter & sound for my wedding videography and I could not recommend them more! The video that they created surpassed all of my expectations! Every person who watched the video has commented on how perfectly this video captured our wedding weekend. I have probably watched it 30 days in the last 2 days!! My only regret is not buying more add-ons of additional footage because I am so obsessed with the footage they sent me!

Best videographer / wedding video

My husband and I got married on May 27, 2023 and it was the best day ever especially because Jonathan and Shutter & Sound made it so special. Jonathan was such a fun, nice, and caring person to be around. We felt immediately comfortable with him and he made sure we were comfortable throughout the day.

We were on the fence on whether or not to get a videographer but the entire experience with shutter and sound made it well worth it. They were speedy with responding to my questions and the day of was so smooth. OUR VIDEO turned out so amazing and everyone who watches it tells us how good it came out. It perfectly captured our day.

If you are looking for a videographer look no further. Also if you can I highly recommend Jonathan. :)

Fantastic - everything you want in a vendor

May 27, 2023 Wedding in Bristol, RI.
Corresponded with Julian, worked with two videographers (mainly Mike). 5/5 stars. 10/10 review. If you are someone (like me) who researches all the available options, checks ratings, read reviews, sorts based on pricing, communication, availability, work product examples, etc. then shutter and sound is for you. We had an incredible experience and would highly recommend. Most importantly their biggest strength is consistent and clear communication. Question answering and help leading up to the wedding is a plus. Also, both videographers (Mike in particular), were absolutely AWESOME. Seriously- the direction Mike gave us, his attention to detail and awareness of time constraints/schedule were phenomenal. It was so much fun to follow his directions and execute the ideas for the shots he had. He made it super fun and enjoyable. He also worked fantastically alongside our photographer and other vendors. The Shutter and Sound team was just fricken awesome. Upbeat, quick with ideas, and just forceful enough to get shots quickly without being too much. They were so encouraging and honestly made us feel like superstars. Came to our house, got all kinds of shots, getting ready process, going to the venue, at the venue, ceremony, reception, guests, dancing, everything. They moved around effortlessly, and with a smile. Getting the post ceremony and sunset shots with them was probably the most carefree relaxing period of the event. They respected our time, were excellent at their job, were flexible yet helpful, communicated clearly and frequently, and were fun to work with.

Amazing Company! Made the Film Process Seamless!

We used Shutter & Sound for our wedding on 11/5/2022 and we are so beyond happy with the results! On the day of, the two videographers were so wonderful! They were on time, worked well with the photographers and other vendors, and made us feel at ease and comfortable (especially for a couple that doesn't love being in front of the camera). When we got our highlight video back, we were just thrilled- it came out even better than we imagined! They used amazing drone footage of the city we got married in, let us pick our music and really listened when we asked for specific things/shots (e.g. shots of our loved ones and the party). Overall, we cannot recommend them enough- not to mention, we go our highlight video back in less than 2 months. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! It was so amazing to get to see our special day back.

Professional + Skillful

Alex did such an amazing job on our wedding video… and I couldn’t believe how fast the edit was, a total of 9 days!

Alex and Adam were both at our wedding day, arrived at our air bnb promptly. Even though I must add, they were a bit quiet at first which made me extra shy.. therefore I had to hit a few shots to calm my nerves, but both were both very kind and sweet. The way the edits were for the short-film were made so differently than what I’m used to other weddings. You would either see Alex and Adam pass by and take a 10-second clip/recording and then swiftly give us pointers on what he wanted to capture. It’s so crazy to see such simple efforts and recordings … but turned out sooo beautifully captured.

I have shown the video to MANY of my family, friends & colleagues and guests, and I must tell you about 8/10 were quite moved and emotional. Also, the song choice of mine really did add the cherry on top…

I was in awe and watery-eyed when I realized Alex had the edit done within 9 days after our wedding on April 16, 2023, and the edit was sent on April 25, 2023. Alex, thank you for being a part of our day and a moment in our lives I’d never forget. Life gets us sometimes, and sometimes even the best of us. But whatever life paths you face, you will face with grace and triumph it through, through all the hardships, Alex. I remember what we spoke about briefly, and just know, “Everything will always turn out okay.” You have a gift, and I’m so glad you shared it with us. Thank you also to Adam for also being a part of our journey, all of us together.

Kaitlin, you have been nothing but amazing throughout this 1 year of communication. You never failed to not respond to any of my emails, and you always given me reassurance and without a doubt, given me such a smooth process while I was planning our wedding all by myself. You made this process easy yet enjoyable. I would love to work with you and the team or Shutter & Sound again someday. Shutter & Sound did a fantastic job! They were very easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Both of our videographers showed up on time the day of the wedding. Most Amazing Videography

I was mesmerized by the wedding films that Shutter and Sounds produced, and the various options that the offered. We just received our highlight video back and I am literally speechless. Professional, Stunning, Quality Videographer!

Shutter and Sound Films was such an easy decision when choosing our wedding videographer! My older sister had used them for her wedding and we were just so impressed by the stunning work they did with her videos, that my family knew we had to hire them again! We loved how inconspicuous they were while capturing every moment of our special day. Ched and Nathan were just fabulous to work with all day long. They were sweet, funny, professional, so talented, and made us feel comfortable in front of the lens. Quinn and Julian were wonderful throughout the entire planning process. They both listened to our needs and wants and were very accommodating to any requests/changes we had along the way. We selected the package where we received a documentary style edit of our entire event, as well as a short video put to a song of our choice, showcasing the highlighted moments. We were so happy we made this choice and absolutely loved the short 4-minute film, as it captured our day perfectly in a nutshell. It’s a beautiful film to show to our guests who couldn’t make it to our wedding, as well as a wonderful keepsake for ourselves. The quality and clarity of the Shutter and Sounds work is unbelievable and we are so happy we chose them to capture our wedding day! We are so grateful to the entire team!!

I wish there were more than 5 stars because Shutter & Sound deserves so much more. I'm truly at a loss for words after receiving my wedding highlight (and watching it literally 100x). I decided to do a video package last minute and wasn't expecting anything too extravagant; I'm one of those people who chooses to have low expectations to protect my sanity...I am absolutely blown away. That jaw on the floor, ugly crying, heart racing kind of vibe. Not only was the final result beyond my wildest dreams, but to top it off my video team was absolutely phenomenal. Fun, artistic & somehow invisible!

Cannot recommend Shutter & Sound Enough!

We used Shutter & Sound for our wedding on 11/5/2022 and we are so beyond happy with the results! On the day of, the two videographers were so wonderful! They were on time, worked well with the photographers and other vendors, and made us feel at ease and comfortable (especially for a couple that doesn't love being in front of the camera). When we got our highlight video back, we were just thrilled- it came out even better than we imagined! They used amazing drone footage of the city we got married in, let us pick our music and really listened when we asked for specific things/shots (e.g. shots of our loved ones and the party). Overall, we cannot recommend them enough!

The best videographer in Chicago!!!

From my very first interaction with Julian at Shutter and Sound Chicago, I knew we had found the videography company for us. I was impressed by the packages they offered and the incredible prices that accompanied them. I appreciated the opportunity to talk with Julian and understand how their videography services would fit into the day and how the process works. He put all my anxieties to ease and was so helpful in also assisting us in picking a complementary song for our video (quite honestly a difficult choice!). On our wedding day, we had the pleasure of working with two of the most incredible and talented videographer team members. They were a joy to hang out with and I can speak for our whole family and bridal party in saying they were professional, kind, and very thoughtful and creative. We just got our video back and I have probably watched it no less than 40 times. I had instant tears in my eyes with how beautifully captured our day was. 10/10 - AMAZING experience! First of all, booking and preparing was SO EASY! Shutter and Sound has a super easy process and their team is so responsive and fun to work with! My videographer Alan was AMAZING - he showed up looking so professional, on time, SO NICE, and so patient - he gave very clear directions and was so easy to work with day of - i couldn't get over how nice he was - my entire bridal party was in love with him - and i had a huge group of bridesmaids (9)! Then i received the finished product, and I couldn't believe what i was watching - it was like watching a professional movie. Our highlight reel was like a movie

We were absolutely thrilled with Shutter + Sound’s work doing videography for our wedding. Alex was our lead videographer, and he has an incredible eye for detail. We were completely blown away at how beautifully everything was shot when we got the highlight reel, and could not help but marvel at how perfectly he and his assistant captured the day. Julian also did an amazing job coordinating, and was very quick to respond to all of our emails. Also important to note that they let you choose your highlight reel song, and there are so many amazing options to choose from! A lot of our friends and family were on the fence about whether a videographer was necessary, and I have to say that I think every couple should hire one for their wedding. perfection!

I can't believe we almost didn't hire a videographer - we are SO SO happy we did. Our video left us speechless. Alex did a truly amazing job with our highlight video - we've watched it so many times over the last couple days and it still brings us to tears. We will cherish this for years and years to come. I'd also like to note Alex specifically had a very calm & professional demeanor the whole day - he was a joy to have be a part of our wedding & we got numerous comments from guests that they thought very highly of him the day-of (& then again of course even more compliments after seeing the video!). Must have for a wedding

I adored my experience with Shutter and Sound, and more importantly, the final product. Josh was the videographer that worked with us for our wedding and he could not have done a more excellent job. We worked with Kylee behind the scenes and Alan and Josh the day of. Kylee was super responsive, detailed, and thoughtful in her replies to my many questions. We ended up taking a long time to book due to concerns around Covid and postponements, and she was super patient and kept us up to date on everything on her side. Alan and Josh were great partners to have next to use throughout our entire day - kind, providing direction where needed, and blending into the background where needed. Our highlight video was exactly as we hoped it would be, which is tough after watching many of their videos which made our expectations higher and higher. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Hiring Shutter and Sound Films as my videography vendor was one of the best decisions I made. I received my highlight video in two short weeks following my wedding. Bottom line: Don't even think twice, book Shutter and Sound (S&S) for your wedding!
We are OVER THE MOON with every aspect of S&S - the entire team (coordinator + day of videography team) was so responsive, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Even with multiple postponements, they worked with us each and every step of the way and were beyond accommodating and kind. And the videos, WOW the videos. We got the full package with the cinematic highlight and the ~20min feature film and we are blown away by both. The shorter highlight is a fun, fast paced glimpse of the entire day and the feature film is a more relaxed, longer version of the day. Everything from getting ready, to our vows, cocktail hour, speeches, and of course dance floor action was covered. Both videos are amazing and we know we will watch them for years to come!
All of our married friends who did have a videographer at their wedding, regrets not doing so... it is one of those costs that are 100% WORTH IT. It's a way for you to get a real feel for the entire day that pictures cannot portray. We are so happy we sent with Shutter and Sound, I promise you will not regret it!

So glad I hired Shutter & Sound!

We hired Shutter and Sound Films for our wedding on 4/2/22. Firstly, they couldn't have been kinder and more accommodating when we had to move our original wedding date due to COVID-19. Their communication was always prompt, professional and friendly, and they did a great job guiding us through the planning process. We chose "The Feature" package, and it was SO worth it! They asked us to choose our video song before the wedding, so they could tailor their coverage to the mood and tone of what music we picked. We received an incredible video that captured every special moment, and it filled our hearts with joy to relive our day again. It's always nerve-wracking to be on camera, but they made us look amazing. We loved so many of the shots from the video that we pulled multiple stills and saved them as photos! On the day of my wedding, Adam and our other videographer professional and unobtrusive - I often didn't even notice they were rolling, and was thrilled with all the little moments they captured and edited into our video. They captured our day perfectly!

We found Shutter and Sound after falling in love with the video they did for a cousin's wedding. From beginning to end they did not disappoint. They were through in reviewing the packages, answering questions, and communicative as we got closer to wedding day. Our videographers showed up ontime and got right to work, and we got so much great footage of the day. So many people have remarked about how perfect our video is, and we really love how authentically it captured the energy of the day. The details...

Booking: I had researched a lot of videography vendors when I came across Shutter & Sound Films. All of their highlight videos were amazing and captured all of the important moments beautifully. Their website has their pricing transparently available with the different package options. This was extremely helpful as I knew what to expect and could customize a package that was right for us. Once we reached out via email, they were so quick to respond! We were able to speak with a Videography Coordinator, Julian, and get all of our questions answered.

Planning: Our videography coordinator, Julian, would reach out via email throughout the months leading up to the wedding with to-dos to make sure we got the video we wanted. We completed a survey on the important moments we wanted captured, selected the song we wanted to use for the highlight film, and walked through the schedule for the day. Julian was so wonderful to work with on all of the planning.

Wedding Day: We had two videographers, Alex and Adam, film throughout the day. They arrived early and were able to capture all of the getting ready moments. Alex is so creative, filming all of the little details, big moments, and ambiance created by all of our guests.

Post-event: Julian (video coordinator) sent us the highlight video a week and a half after our wedding. We were so excited and impressed that we received the video that quickly! I wanted to purchase an extra video edit (60 second Instagram edit) and Julian was able to quickly connect with Alex to make it happen. We just received that today and it is PERFECT. It has different moments of our day than the longer version, so it is really cool!

Incredible experience and final product!

My husband and I were so impressed with the professionalism and promptness from Shutter and Sound. Quinn always answered our questions to the fullest extent and was so helpful with our booking and understanding the packages. She was a great liaison between us and our day of videographer Mike DiNatale, who I also don't have enough good things to say about.

Mike and his colleague Juliana captured every intimate detail of our wedding so beautifully. He did a wonderful job of working side by side our photographer, but also being thoughtful when to jump in to get the shots he needed! The highlight video came out INCREDIBLE. The quality, editing, everything is so perfect. We shared it with our friends and family over the holidays and they were all blown away. It was everything we asked for and more.

We feel so lucky to be able to re-live this moment over and over again. We truly can’t wait for the documentary style and raw footage soon : )

Great quality, captured emotion

Our videographers through Shutter & Sound were very easy to work with and truly captured the emotion and key moments of our wedding for a very reasonable price, especially for the NY region. And, they worked really well together with our photographers. We wanted a video that would capture everything without making us feel awkward or overly scripted. Love Love Love our Video!

After booking with Shutter and Sound, we saw a video specifically made by Hans and requested he be assigned to our wedding. We are thrilled we made the request because our video was absolutely perfect. It captured all the most special elements of our day and we’ve lost count already of how many times we have watched it. Communication leading up to the day of the wedding was primarily with Kylee from their office. Her responses were always timely and helpful, especially when needing to postpone twice due to COVID. We were never given any additional fees to move the date and everyone at Shutter & Sound was accommodating throughout. The day of, Hans arrived with his co-videographer and coordinated perfectly with my photographer to begin taking detail shots. They continued to work well together throughout getting ready pictures, ceremony and reception. Hans gave detailed directions when shooting some artistic shots with us and was enjoyable to be around throughout the day. Highly recommend Shutter & Sound!

Shutter & Sound is the best!

Choosing Shutter and Sound was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From start to finish, they were extremely kind and organized. Leading up to our wedding, they walked us through the process and were there to promptly answer any questions we had, including helping with our day-of timeline. Ched Nunez was our lead videographer for our wedding and we loved working with him. He was very professional and fun, yet he was also able to blend very well into the background to where you also didn't even know he was there. We received our highlight video very soon after our wedding and were absolutely blown away! It is a gorgeous depiction of the best day of our lives and something we will be able to cherish forever. A wonderful wedding video

We chose Shutter and Sound as our videographer primarily because of how well done the videos were - we did not want something cheesy and wanted someone who could capture all the special moments without it being too “staged”. Before our wedding, we filled out a questionnaire about any type of shots we wanted and chose the song for our short video. On the day of, John and assistant arrived on time and captured all the shots to make a great wedding video. We were so happy with the results and absolutely would recommend Shutter & Sound for your wedding videographer needs!

Best Decision Ever!

We contemplated on whether we should add videographer to our wedding budget, NO REGRETS! We talked to many of our married friends and they said it was the best decision they ever made, we couldn't agree more!! Shutter & Sound was recommended to us by our close friends who were so happy with their wedding video! It's always great when it's a recommendation because you know it's going to be amazing! We hurried and reached out to see if there was availability as wedding dates were being booked like crazy, Julian responded so quickly and has been so great to work with! After meeting with Julian, we knew they were the best fit for us! I would say the hardest part was choosing a song for our highlight video, it took us weeks to figure out what vibe we wanted. Alex showed up early on the wedding day and just went and did his thing! It was great to see him interacting and working so well with our photographer. The professionalism and the calmness he brought was just what we needed, we could not be happier with how the video turned out! To be able to take the song we chose which was a more upbeat and funky vibe and turn our highlight video into something we just never expected was just amazing! Shutter & Sound delivered and synced the sounds just like the pros they are, their talent for filming combined with musicality is A-1! We just can't stop watching it, so thankful we have such a great day to look back on and it's all thanks to these guys!

Great guys, great end product

Alex and his assistant (I totally forgot his name!) were amazing. When they arrived to shoot they were professional, and also really cool guys to have around. They were also super patient with us & worked well with our photographer. The end result of our video: WOW! It came out beautiful, we look great, and they captured the essence of the day so well. We also purchased the raw footage, and we cannot wait to see it. I am so, so, happy we booked them.

Best Wedding Videographer in the game

Okay, there is a reason that Shutter & Sound has won consecutive awards. If you haven’t checked out their work, you are missing out! From the second I saw one of their videos, I knew that Shutter & Sound was who I wanted for our wedding. Their videos have a beautiful filter/clarity to them that looks like something out of a movie. They use the perfect amount of slow-motion moments & aerial drone shots to make anyone watching feel like they were there. They also somehow capture every beautiful moment & emotion without you even realizing it until you see the video!!

Best of all, their team is SUCH a delight to work with. I want to give a special shout out to Kylee, Shane, Alan & Adrian who had me so excited, cracking up & simply having the time of my life throughout the whole process.

We love them!

Shutter and Sound was the perfect videography team for our wedding day, and we are so grateful that we were able to book them! We loved how they inconspicuously captured every moment, to the point where we hardly even noticed them filming! We selected the package where we received a documentary style edit of our entire event, as well as a short video put to a song of our choice, showcasing the highlighted moments. This was absolutely the best choice, as the short video they created for us is so beautiful and real. It’s a work of art! (all credit to them!) They are amazing at what they do, came prepared, and were so professional throughout everything. Best Videographer

Shutter & Sound exceeded our highest expectations for our wedding videography! Prior to our wedding, my husband questioned whether we even needed video and now we are beyond thankful that we did. I was somewhat worried that it might feel awkward to have a videographer following us around but they integrated seamlessly into our day and were so great to work with. We received our highlight video almost immediately and were blown away. We have been watching it on repeat ever since! Even our friends and family were brought to tears and commented on how refreshing it was to see a change from the traditional “cheesy” wedding video. Moreso than the photographs, the video captures all of our favorite details of the day and we can’t recommend Shutter and Sound more highly!

Shutter and Sound created THE PERFECT wedding video for us— My wife and I will enjoy the highlight video for a lifetime. The team was very easy to work with, professional, and honestly the perfect vendor for us.

Our videographer, Paul, went ABOVE and BEYOND what we expected. Not just from a videographer perspective (perfect highlight reel, quality of the shots, attention to detail, telling us to do certain things to get the shots he needed, etc.), but he also helped align the day with the rest of our vendors. When he noticed some continuity issues between the vendors, he proactively brought all of them together and took the lead on making sure that our day went as smooth as possible. Paul also really cared about us enjoying OUR SPECIAL DAY and made sure that we were enjoying ourselves throughout the process— We are so grateful to have met him and couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Shutter and Sound.

Amazing!!!

I recently worked with Shutter and Sound for my wedding day video and all I can say is - WOW! What a great team to work with. Leading up to and the day of the event were absolutely flawless. The shots they got of us were extremely unique and captivating, which we appreciated. We had our wedding at a great venue with lots of opportunity for artsy shots and I'm glad we were able to take advantage of this with Shutter & Sounds help.

The most impressive part was we received our Instagram highlight 4 days after our wedding. It was the perfect way to relive the day and I'm so happy we choose this vendor. Amazing turnaround time, extremely high quality video and really great people to work with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a way to capture their day!

The best videographer

If there was one word of advice I would give to any engaged couple, it is to truly invest in the best quality videographer that will perfectly capture your wedding day. We have done a ton of research when choosing a videographer - we wanted one that captured raw emotions that really showcased the entire wedding while utilizing the best quality and editing techniques. Shutter and Sound absolutely checked all our boxes and we couldn’t recommend them enough.

Choosing Shutter and Sound as our videographer was truly the best decision. We received our wedding video only a week after our wedding and we were completely in awe and have not stopped watching it multiple times a day - it is truly just perfect. Julian, the videography coordinator and Jack, the scheduling manager with Shutter and Sound were incredibly professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Julian and Jack really represent the company well from the front side and was an absolute joy to work and plan with. Wilson, our wedding videographer simply to put it - was the best. The videographers got all the shots we wanted perfectly beyond our imagination, and went above and beyond to really make the entire wedding experience perfect. Exceptional!

Like many couples, we had the initial wedding date of April 2020 and had to reschedule 3 times till finally this past month of getting hitched!

From the beginning stages of planning and through the multiple reschedules, Julian Spessard and Juan Ariza have been wonderful to work with. As a nervous bride, Julian as the Videography Coordinator, was reassuring and rolled with the many various emails I had leading up to the big day.

Juan was our videographer for our wedding day. Prior to this, he met in person as well as had a conference call to get to know me and my fiancé as a couple as well as understand our dynamics to capture it beautifully on camera. I can’t rave about Juan enough- I truly felt like I had a long-time friend with me during the wedding day. He made me feel at ease as well as jumped in any situation that he saw someone needed help (i.e., cleaning my wedding ring to make it extra sparkly or asking my pregnant MOH if she needed any water while we outside taking video on a hot Chicago summer day). All of our friends stated that they would have loved to hang with Juan outside of this day—that speaks volumes to me, to find a company that truly makes you feel like you are family, and this day is as important to them as it is to you. I am so grateful to have found them and work with them over the last 2.5 years! I would wholeheartedly recommend Shutter and Sound to anyone who is wanting great team players like Julian and Juan to be part of your dream wedding vendor squad.

Incredible Experience from beginning to end!

We hired Julian and Alex at Shutter and Sounds and from the very beginning they were so wonderful to work with! They were so accommodating and professional. Shutter & Sound is a MUST

Shutter and Sound was amazing! I'd like to start by saying I was a covid bride and had to re book my wedding twice. Kylee, the videographer coordinator, handled both rescheduling graciously and was a pleasure to deal with. We found Shutter and Sound when one of my cousin’s friends posted their wedding highlight video on Instagram. After watching their video, we immediately reached out to book. After watching hundreds of other people’s videos, we finally knew we found the one. Our video came out just the way we wanted it and the quality was amazing! A week before the wedding Kylee sent a questionnaire to go over all important details of the day and questions about over feel of the wedding as well as anything important that must be captured. As you all know planning a wedding/event is stressful and this put me at so much ease the day of the wedding knowing they were organized and had all those details covered. We received our video less than a month after the wedding, and have been watching it ever since 😊 Also special shoutout to Will and Shane our videographers, you guys were awesome!

Book for a movie quality video!

An old friend from high school posted her wedding video on facebook a few years back and I immediately knew I wanted Shutter and Sound as our videographer. Of course trying to be a budget friendly bride I shopped around, reviewing other vendors videos and pricing. With all the research I did there are no other videographers in the Massachusetts area that even compare. Although there are some options that were more affordable, you really are paying for the quality here. We decided to go big and booked their largest package which included 2 videographers for up to 10 hours, a 7-9 minute trailer, and a full day documentary style video. We also decided to purchase the raw footage. We have not received our full documentary style video yet but we received the wedding trailer in only about three weeks. We have rewatched our wedding trailer multiple times and are both completely in love with it. Some of the comments we have received from friends and family include ‘’It looks like a music video or a movie’ ‘this is the best wedding video I have ever seen!’ and ‘I cried watching this!’.

I believe Shutter and Sound has different videographers that work for them, however Mike and Phil were the ones that shot our wedding. They were both so nice and somehow managed to get so much footage without us really even noticing them. They also worked so well alongside our photographer. Phil even came to the rescue helping the groomsmen tie their ties when they were having problems with it! Their professionalism and skills were very apparent. There are some great shots that Mike took that really make the trailer have that dramatic movie effect.

I also want to add that our original wedding date was cancelled due to COVID it was supposed to be June 2020 and was moved to June 2021. Shutter and Sound was great to work with and accommodated the change of date without a problem. As you can imagine it was a very stressful time for us and having them be so accommodating took the pressure right off!

If you are looking to book a professional and skilled videographer please do not look and further I promise you will not be disappointed!

Liam and Colin from Shutter & Sound were amazing the day of our wedding capturing everything. Even before our wedding day, Kylee from Shutter and Sound guided us through every phase of contracts, set up, process, and more. All individuals we worked with were professional, responsive, and helpful. The day off, everyone was on time and attentive to every single detail/timeline. During our wedding, we barely knew they were there and they worked so well with our photographers. It felt like having friends at the wedding. 2 Days after our wedding, they already provided us with their instagram 1 minute highlight video that blew us away. We used Shutter and Sound for our wedding videography and I highly recommend them! Our wedding was postponed multiple times during the pandemic and they were very helpful and accommodating through the entire process. we absolutely LOVE our video!!. If you are debating on a videographer you should definitely go for it with Shutter and Sound! We are reliving our wedding day all over again with this film. GREAT team they have for videography. They were really great at communication, were very professional to interact with on wedding day, and made sure we enjoyed our day while they were capturing all of our great moments. A dream come true

Shutter and sound did an amazing job with our wedding highlight video! My husband and I received many compliments. Thank You Shutter and Sound!

Ched and the folks from Shutter and Sound did an amazing job with our Wedding Video! Since we cut back our guest list in order to have a safe experience, it was essential that we had some good video to share with the guests that we couldn't have with us. And they delivered!

The highlight video has everyone weeping all over again every time they watch, and how they package together the rest of the footage is so seamless and exciting to share after the event!

The on site videographer were super professional, really gung ho about getting good shots, and not at all intrusive to our big day. Great folks, and great gift to us that we'll always cherish. Thank you Shutter and Sound!

Hire Them - You Won't Be Sorry

Shutter and Sound was INCREDIBLE! They made the entire process so easy and seamless, especially the day of our wedding. They were calm, cool, professional, and efficient - everything you are looking for in a photographer. On top of all that, they literally made us feel like models the day of and when they returned our highlight video. If you are willing to go with the flow and have the videographer direct your shots, you won't be disappointed because they have so much experience and know exactly what they are doing! Even more, they are just genuinely the nicest people! They made us feel extremely comfortable during our couples shots and captured every important moment, even ones I didn't know if he would get (my brother spontaneously breaking out in tears after the ceremony, me resting my head on my husband at the end of the night, us being silly and giving the hitchhiker thumb to oncoming traffic). They captured every moment of the day, all the emotions, all the silly stuff, everything. We got our video back in less than 4 weeks from our wedding date, which I guess is unheard of, so they're top-of-the-line in the editing process and return rate as well. Beautiful Work

I knew we had to hire Shutter and Sound when I saw another video they did at our venue - I was just blown away by how cinematic and emotional it was. Our videographers (Julian and Juan) were so amazing to work with and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They also worked really well in tandem with our photographer. I'm so happy we made the decision to hire Shutter and Sound. Your wedding day seems like it flashes by in the blink of an eye, but our video from that day will be something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Hire these guys!

We hired Julian and the team at Shutter and Sound to be our wedding videographer on 4/24/21. From the beginning, they were super communicative, easy to work with, very flexible and incredibly nice. We rescheduled our date a few times due to COVID and then ended up going with a different package and they were understanding and flexible the whole time. David was our day-of videographer - he arrived early, was eager to help, worked incredibly well with our photographer and was fun to be around that day. We are anxiously awaiting our video but I have no doubt it will be epic! Thanks again Julian and David!!

Exceeded our expectations

Our experience from the start with Kylee was great from the beginning - responsive, thorough, and warm. Day of, we could not have been happier with the two videographers we had on sight for our wedding day recently. We got much more than we expected with two warm, fun, light hearted videographers who made us feel like friends rather than just at a wedding to work an event. Incredible experience and even better video!

Shutter and Sound did our videography for our wedding back in August! I had reached out just a handful of months before our date because we decided last minute to move forward with video (btw, BEST decision). Kylee was so sweet and easy to work with, quick to answer questions and get the date all booked and set up.

On our wedding day, we had Jordan as our videographer. He is the nicest guy - incredibly talented too. The emotion put behind our highlight video is insane, and to be frank my husband and I have watched it at least 50 times! Amazing all around!

We decided to book Shutter and Sound after reading some reviews and watching their highlight films on their website. They did not disappoint! The service was amazing - super responsive, accommodating when we had to change our date and package last minute and Hans (our day-of videographer) was phenomenal. He was extremely calm and most of the day we did not even realize he was there - but the footage he captured and the final highlight video we received was AMAZING! Something we can watch and enjoy for many, many years. One of the best decisions we made booking Shutter and Sound and having the highlight video and raw footage to remember our day.

Amazing!!!

Shutter and Sound created our wedding video for our small Covid wedding. Quinn was lovely to work with during all the craziness of moving dates due to Covid. The final product on our video is so magical and really captures our love!! We are so happy with it and watching it brings us back to that amazing feeling we had on our wedding day. Matt did a fabulous job! It is so nice to have such a lovely memory and we are excited to share it with our family when it is safe to have a large celebration.

So amazing

I was unsure if I wanted a wedding video due to cost but let me tell you....IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. I watched a ton of videos from different vendors but definitely loved Shutter and Sound the most. Initially I was hesitant to book because they work in so many cities and was unsure if I would get a videographer that did work similar to the videos on their website. I don't know why I was ever concerned because Doyle killed it. He was so pleasant to work with and put together a video better than I could have imagined. Jack was also amazing to work with, very prompt and responsive. He was so helpful throughout the planning process and was very flexible when our dates changed due to COVID. I really can't say enough good things about Shutter and Sound!! Definitely will not disappoint.

Amazing work.

Absolutely amazing!

Shutter and Sound was absolutely AMAZING! They were so flexible and made our day so special! Julian was FANTASTIC!! Not only did he get back our wedding highlight video in 2 weeks, he captured every perfect detail of our day! Couldn’t recommend Julian and Shutter & Sound enough!!! You should choose Shutter & Sound for your Wedding!

We cannot say enough good things about Shutter & Sound! We were dealing with planning a wedding during COVID which was especially stressful. We had to change our date along with the location and S&S was responsive and accommodating. Quinn is great and the videographers were awesome. They know what they're doing! Our short video clip along with the wedding video is gorgeous. Overall amazing experience, I HIGHLY recommend Shutter & Sound!

Great Experience!

As Wedding Planners we look for many things in a great vendor, some of which being responsiveness, professionalism, fair pricing and value, but most of all, being a fun and kind human to work with. Getting Married During COVID - Shutter and Sound was the best!

As you can imagine, getting married during COVID-19 is not easy, but Shutter and Sound was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our entire process. Anytime we had questions, they got back to us so quickly. Anytime we had a thought or an idea, they were ready and eager to work with us and brainstorm.
