Understood exactly what we needed

Mark was a great find for our wedding day. A few of our friends and guests have told us how much they enjoyed the"vibe" of our wedding and how much fun they had throughout the night--that is all thanks to Mark! From the ceremony, to the speeches, to the open dance floor, he was able to keep everything on track with no awkward pauses. Would definitely recommend using ShoDJ for your wedding!

Amazing and Well-Prepared DJ

The best review of ShoDj that I can give is that we had ZERO complaints about our experience working with him leading up to and during our wedding. At our wedding we had events in 3 different rooms that we needed a DJ in, we had a very specific wedding song playlist, and even a few songs that we edited ourselves that we wanted played. We even sent him songs in different formats that we needed him to convert so he could play them. We were kind of worried going in to the wedding with so many different things going on but ShoDj came through perfectly with everything we wanted done. ShoDj has plenty of experience, was easy to reach (even on the wedding day), has high quality microphones, uplighting, and speakers, was articulate during announcements, and had a good feel for the best songs to play at the right time on the dance floor. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ on our wedding day and most importantly, ShoDj was so prepared for everything throughout the event that we did not have to worry about anything with him. Would highly recommend!!!

Mark was amazing for my wedding. He played all the songs I recommended to him, and did a great job picking songs on his own as well. I’ve never seen so many people on the dance floor for as long as they were at my wedding. He gave us an awesome price as well!

We could not have asked for a better DJ. From the 1st phone call I knew we had picked the right DJ for our Home Depot party! He was referred to me by a great friend and so glad I listened and went with him. Everyone who attended the party can’t stop talking about how much fun Mark made the night! We will definitely remember him for future events! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for great entertainment, professional and reliable DJ! He even showed up an hour before the event to start setting up! Super impressed!!!

Mark was extremely professional and easy to work with for our May 6, 2017 wedding. Whenever we had a question or wanted to schedule a meeting he was very quick to respond and flexible with his schedule. Mark did a great job with the flow of our music for the ceremony and was excellent during the reception. ShoDJ (Mark Turner) was the DJ at our wedding in Linville, VA on August 27, 2016. I didn't have to worry about anything; his straightforward booking and music selection process ensured the evening went smoothly and the guests were dancing all night. Mark even went the extra mile, capturing several photos and videos of the dancing action during the reception! Wouldn't hesitate to book him for our next event!

Mark ShoDJ Turner did a fantastic job at my Justice Wedding. He played everything from my song list plus more!! He really knows how to feel the crowd, and keep things going according to plan. He showed up early for set up and met with me whenever I needed him. Highly highly recommended for any event! He is very dedicated to his clients and I could not have been anymore happy the up lighting was beautiful along with the stencil he made to have projected with our names on it. Mark, was awesome he played all the music we asked for. He had the crowd going too. I planned this wedding from 700 miles away so we spoke on the phone and by email. He was always fast to respond. I definitely recommend him you can not go wrong!!!

Mark did an awesome job for my daughter's sweet 16! He worked with me to provide a rate within our budget. He called when traffic was an issue and asked about various routes, and still arrived early. When my daughter and her friends wanted different music, Mark was very responsive and made the party exactly what she wanted. He took requests and got the party going. The kids had a blast and my daughter's party was a huge success!! She was absolutely thrilled and they were all sad when it ended. Thanks Mark!! I highly recommend you!! 5 stars!!!!

ShoDJ (Mark) was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He was attentive and organized from the start, asking us to meet him before the wedding (several months prior in our case) to discuss the event and go over our vision for the reception. He was also very responsive leading up to the event and arrived early on the day-of. We never doubted that he would meet our expectations and, in the end, he managed to surpass our expectations. He even customized our wedding party entrance song!

His musical knowledge and ability to read/adapt to the crowd makes Mark special and we received floods of compliments after the wedding about the music. We would strongly recommend Mark for your future musical event needs – he can do it all!

Mark is awesome! He was quick to respond to our inquiry and worked closely with us on the details of our event. Mark arrived an hour early on event day - fully prepared to provide the service we contracted. As the event wrapped up and other vendors were in a rush to leave, Mark continued to play music and entertain us.

Music is an integral part of our events; therefore, a professional yet fun DJ is needed. Mark provided top level service and exceeded our expectations.

ShoDJ was so great! We had issues with weather and had to switch some of our plans around at the last minute. I was a bit worried about moving our reception inside. He was very flexiable and took care of everything. He was very profressional!

Mark is a great dj! I cannot say enough positive things about him. We first saw Mark dj a friend's wedding. He kept the crowd going and we knew we had to hire him. Mark is very professional. As soon as you enter into a contract with him, he provides you with a checklist of information he needs to provide the best service to you. He also gives guidance on your wedding timeline. Mark played amazing music all night and the light display of our names was tge finishing touch! Unlike most Djs, Mark isn't just concerned with playing music...he wants to give you a great service and he will truly deliver!

Mark was awesome! Although we couldn't meet often before our event (on our part), he was very diligent through email and phone correspondence. He allowed us to pick our own music, which we loved. Very organized, professional, and such a great guy all around. Our son LOVED him! He was very attentive to our needs before and during the whole event. I have recommended Mark to people since our wedding and will continue to do so. Solid guy, great prices and music. And above all enjoyed his company throughout our wedding. He was our friend throughout the whole day, not just a business partner.

Mark is a fantastic DJ—professional, experienced and talented with a keen ability to read a room and play music that keeps the dance floor packed all night long. For our wedding, we gave him a specific cocktail hour and dinner playlist which he put together perfectly, as well as rough guidelines for the reception, and the songs he chose got guests of all ages dancing. Just the right mix of fast and slow, classics and contemporary. We can't recommend him highly enough.

ShoDJ provided the music and entertainment at our 40th high school graduation reunion and he did an excellent job. The light show was great and Mark even went beyond the normal with providing accent lighting around the entire banquet room where the event was held which added to the dance atmosphere. He mixed up the music throughout the evening causing our classmates to get out of their chairs and join in on the dance floor. Thanks ShoDJ for making our 40th reunion an event to remember for years to come.

I can't say enough good things about ShoDj! This was my first time working with a Professional DJ. From planning to execution Mr Turner (ShoDj) made it easy. He provided music and Karaoke for our family reunion. He provided complete service. There were microphones for speakers. There was dinner music, dance music and karaoke for everyone from kids too old school. I think the price was a bargain. My daughter has already hired him for her wedding next year! HEJ

When I emailed out several DJ's for information DjSho replied almost instantly, his responsiveness remained that way throughout our planning. He had the best price and the best website so ultimately I didn't feel like I was making a sacrifice of quality for price. He answered questions I didn't know I had, and gave us all the resources we used to choose a playlist that was good for us. He also worked with us to come up with the sequence of events for our reception.

Once we started working with him I became extremely impressed with his professionalism. He always confirmed appointments, arrived at least 15 minutes early, and came prepared with all the materials we needed for each meeting.

He was flexible with us since we had the ceremony and reception at a site that required driving in between. He came to our rehearsal and was able to change and adapt to every different version of the wedding we rehearsed with very little direction.

The music at our wedding was great, we didn't have a lot of time to dance but all the music he played was directly from our playlist and it kept the dance floor busy. I am confident that if we had more time he would have kept people on the dance floor.

Out of all the vendors at my wedding he required the least attention and that made a big difference on my wedding week/day. I would absolutely recommend him for any wedding!

On, May 3, 2014 we reserved Mark to do our Wedding and Ceremony. His prices were fare and compatible compare to other prices in VA. After Mark was hired he kept in contact with us throughout the 6 months of planning, he was always available for questions at anytime by email, phone and text.We were so amazed with Mark’s professionalism my husband and I booked him right on the spot. On the day of our Wedding he arrive 3 hours prior to setup during setup he went through everything with us to make sure the music list was right. Mark came dress very nice for our wedding, he also had the purple lights to fit the event perfect and set the mood right. He has very nice equipment, speakers and microphones. The guest was very happy. It was nice to look around the room to see everyone having a good time and dancing. I will definitely book Mark again no question! He just made us feel very comfortable and did everything we ask. Thank you Mark.

ShoDJ provided services for our non-profit fashion show fundraiser and I was overwhelmingly pleased and satisfied with the music that was played and his professionalism. The crowd had wonderful things to say about him after the show and I will definitely be using him again in the future!

The DJ did a really fantastic job with our wedding. We hired him on semi-short notice (only a month or two before the date), and were not very good at making a playlist...he got back to us quickly and professionally and came up with selections that were perfect for our big day! THANK YOU!

This guy is very awesome! He was very flexible and we were greatful for that. We had booked him a month before my wedding. There was a special song that was hard to find and he was able to get it which was awesome. He is very professional and very friendly we would recommend him to anybody also the pricing was very fair, you wont be disappointed.

I've used Sho'88 Entertainment to provided DJ services for two Sweet 16 parties. I was extremely happy with their professionlism, promptness, and selection of music. They kept the music pumping and very tasteful (no profanity lyrics) which made me, my wife and the other parents very happy. The kids all had a great time. I give them my HIGHEST recommendation.

DJ Showcase was very professional and keep the crowd going. For a group of teenagers, meeting their song request but making sure the music was appopriate at the same time was great for our Junior Civitan group. He also allowed us to be impromptu in events that needed to be announced for the weekend. He showed up on time and started the music on time as well!

DJ Shocase is phenomenal! He is the DJ of choice at our school in Hampton. He always arrives in time to set up before the students walk into the event. He keeps the children and chaperones dancing the entire time. All of his songs are age-appropriate. DJ Shocase never disappoints!

I really wanted the reception to be a fun dance party so I knew picking the DJ would be very important. I had gathered a list and when I went to ShoDJ/Mark's website and it was bumping Missy Elliot, I was already liking him! His price was far more reasonable than many other DJs, and ones that probably don't have the extensive music library ShoDJ has. My husband and I took time to come up with an extensive playlist and ShoDJ played all of our favorites. He also did the music for the ceremony and it was perfect volume and right on cue. I walked in to "Storybook Love" from Princess Bride, but wanted an obscure instrumental version I'd heard online once, ShoDJ delivered and I got compliments from guests for that choice! He was the perfect balance of being an MC, but still making the wedding not seem like a scheduled event. He was also great at accommodating surprise (to the bride and groom) speakers, and a special visit from the VT Hokie Bird. Many guests told me they thought the DJ rocked it. While I don't expect to plan another wedding, I would definitely hire ShoDJ for another event in the future!

I work as a program administrator for an organization that provides services for children in the Hampton area. I have been responsible for coordinating services provided by Sho'88 Ent on several occassions. The service was very professional. Becuase we work with youth from varying ages and with many different ideas of what is favorable when it comes to music selections, we have to have a diverse range of clean music. The DJ service has alway been responsive to this need. The DJ service is flexible and was available many times on short notice. I definitely think what we paid for the service was well worth it. For whatever your event, Sho' 88 Ent is definitely a great choice.

Working with Mark was amazing! He also brought his assistant, Bruce, who was a ton of fun and pumped up our crowd. Seriously, people commented they had never seen this much dancing at a wedding, which is exactly what we wanted! I didn't communicate much with Mark in advance, but he still pulled off a great event. There was some confusion about when we wanted certain songs played, but in the end, none of it mattered because it was a great party (and again, I didn't communicate much with him in advance, so some of that is probably my fault!) I would definitely recommend ShoDJ to anyone in the Richmond area looking for an incredible and fun DJ!

Great Music selection, responsive to email, flexible with price. The only reason we didn't give all five stars for QOS is that the Karaoke machine kept messing up the screen. Worth a call for sure! We would definitely use again.

Quality experience.

We were fortunate to have had Mark as our DJ at our wedding this past weekend. One of my biggest pet peeves about weddings is when the microphones during ceremonies malfunction, are hard to hear or do not work at all. Thankfully Mark's equipment worked perfectly during the ceremony. We also booked the photo booth through Mark, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we could've made. Our guests loved it!

Mark was very flexible and was able to give me the music I wanted. He understood how to go along with the schedule and announce the events, and when I did not know what songs I wanted for a particular section or event he pulled through with his own choices. Overall he was a very good DJ.

When I first met with Mark he was very professional until the friday before my wedding. I received an email not a phone call. Letting me know he would not be able to do the wedding and had his back up dj informed. I was very disappointed and unhappy. In the email he never said why he would not be able to do It. Later I received an email saying he had a family emergency out of town. Come to find out from the back up dj (Cory) that Mark had double booked. Corey did an awful job (Ipod would have been so much better) and I don't blame him for not getting the full information from Mark. Mark ruined one of those special days.
