Blown Away!!!
The Shimmers are THE band & im serious! They are better than you can imagine. We hired them for our wedding & the Shimmers really took the party to the next level. We would hire them again in a heart beat & hope to hire them for events in the future. They are world class & we could not be happier. Thank you all SO MUCH! We can’t say enough good things. We will be talking about The Shimmers for the rest of our lives. -

My husband and I cannot recommend this band enough. Many of our guests shared with us that it was the BEST Wedding they have ever been to because of the band - we were all on the dance floor all night! Jay, the managing member, was professional and very easy to work with. Thank you Shimmer for making our Wedding night a memorable one! -

Probably the highlight of our wedding reception. The music was outstanding, we had all of our guests on the dance floor the entire night. Not only are they amazing musicians, but they are great MC's, making sure my wife and I were also the stars of the show! Couldnt tell you how many of our guests approached us the next day to tell us how amazing Shimmer was. The band was also helpful, communicative, and professional during the planning process. They even learned special request songs for us! You will absolutely not regret hiring Shimmer for your event, couldn't recommend them any higher (12/10) -

Best night of our lives !
Shimmer band brought the party from beginning to end! This talented group of musicians were so wonderful to work with ! We got so many compliments from so many people ! The dance floor was packed all night long . They play so many genres of music too! Thank you -

Shimmer was the best!! Everyone had a ball and stayed on the dance floor all night!
They were so easy to work with ahead of time and on time and ready to go the day of the wedding.
If I had another daughter, they would be performing at her wedding!!!

Shimmer brings the party!
Shimmer band was absolutely amazing! They put on a show and it is truly awesome. They bring life to the dance floor and reception and made my wedding reception even better. I highly suggest this band to anyone wanting a party and good time. They are great! They engage with the audience and light up the room! -

Working with the band team at Shimmer was an absolute joy. From the moment we started planning, Jay (the band manager) communicated clearly and quickly. It is obvious this team truly cares about each and every event they are a part of. As a planning team, it is so important to work with team that not only cares about the client experience but performs when it comes to the day of the event. Shimmer goes above and beyond every time to ensure all aspects of the client experience are top notch! We absolutely loved working with Shimmer! They performed at our wedding on October 9, 2022 and countless guests have told us how wonderful they were. They did a great job picking a mix of songs based on our preferences, and they had everyone on the dance floor all night. We could go on and on about how fantastic they were. From a very energetic hora, to the amazing singers, Shimmer really was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding day. -

Oh my gosh. Shimmer was the HIGHLIGHT of our reception. We had never heard them play in person and chose them solely based on their sizzle reel (and because we thought they were a great value) - decent-sized ensemble and good variety in their music for a fair price. They BLEW US AWAY. I would recommend them 1,000 times over and have shared their name with so many of our guests! Every single time a guest talks to us about our wedding, they always mention how great our band was! We obviously thought they would be good or we wouldn't have hired them, but their ability to read the room, play music the crowd was feeling, and just generally KILL IT was astounding for the price. I did not want the night to end! I absolutely recommend Shimmer for any wedding or event, you will not regret it!!!! -

My daughter recently got married at The Barn of Chapel Hill, great venue I might add…But the band Shimmer was awesome! The dance floor was full all night!!! They played a variety of music. People not dancing enjoyed the music as well! I told my daughter I wanted them to play for my birthday!!! They are awesome!!! -

We hired Shimmer Band for my recent wedding and they were absolutely incredible. Not only were they incredible responsive and helpful during the planning process, but their performance was nothing short of AMAZING! They kept our guests dancing the entire time and played a perfect mix of songs. We are STILL hearing from our guests how great they were. They made the night. 10/10 would recommend Shimmer!!!!!! -

The best vendor of my wedding! Guests still talking about SHIMMER!
WOW! Shimmer was by far the best vendor from my wedding. Not only were they amazing and timely with communication, they were able to customize songs and preferences for my father/daughter dance. Jay was a pleasure to work with! They also allowed our best man to play the harmonica with them on stage to "Piano Man". My venue, The Omni Hotel, immediately wanted to hire them for future parties. I will forever compare all wedding bands to Shimmer, and none will come close to comparing!! I can't recommend this band enough. -

Amazing Band!!!
Choosing Shimmer Band to perform at our reception was one of the best decisions we made! They truly elevated our reception to the next level. They played great sets with included a variety of current songs and classics, and they were very engaging with the guests. All our guests had a great time dancing and listening to their music, and there was not one moment when the dance floor was empty. Shimmer Band even took the time to learn a new song for our first dance, which made the reception very special. We also appreciated working with Shimmer Band during COVID-19, as they were just as concerned about health and safety as we were and helped us take the necessary safety precautions for the reception. We 100% recommend Shimmer Band for any couple looking for a fun, lively, and professional wedding band to perform at their reception!!! -

Super Shimmer Band

If you want a band that gets your guests off their feet then this is the band for you! Shimmer created magic at our wedding. Guests were asking for their contact info and commented on how amazing the band was. They made the atmosphere so much fun! Not only are they talented, but a pleasure to work with. One of the band members went out of his way to create a beautiful first dance song with my best friend. It was a moment I will never forget. Thank you! Thank you! -

Mobile Wedding
Shimmer was amazing. They made our wedding so much fun. They had everyone engaged and on the dancefloor. Band and singers are incredibly talented. Easy to work with and responsive throughout the entire planning process (all the logistics were perfect - we had very specific requests on certain segments of songs we wanted played for our first dances, certain 'must play' and 'don't play' songs, etc. and they were perfect). We couldn't have been happier and would recommend them to anyone planning their wedding. -

Wes Sent on 08/05/2018"BEST BAND EVER" - it's true what they say about Shimmer. Every one of our 150 wedding guests we've talked to afterward has said exactly that. Shimmer passes all the requirements for a great wedding band with flying colors. For us, that mainly meant keeping the dance floor going all night long, which they DID. However, there were a few other things that stood out to us that truly make them the best band ever.
PROFESSIONALISM
These guys are the real deal. No matter what package you choose, you will be presented with a unified front of top-notch musicians dressed for the occasion. For our black-tie wedding at 6pm, they arrived no later than 12pm for setup. They were clearly committed to making sure their sound and space was just right to make for a fantastic evening.
On the same note, their band manager was extremely responsive. We exchanged many emails and his responses were always thorough and beyond punctual.
MUSIC
We knew Shimmer would be great, but had no idea they would so thoroughly exceed our expectations. We went for the 8-piece package which included a two-horn section (sax and trumpet). All the hits were executed to perfection. The horns especially shone in songs like "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding. Both of their vocalists were engaging and sounded great.
Finally, one thing that stood out to me and several other guests was their total command of the volume of the performance. Shimmer absolutely mastered the mix from start to finish, setting a quiet backdrop for dinner and raising the roof towards the end of the night.
ACCOMODATIONS
I'm a musician, and Shimmer went out of the way to arrange for me to join them for a serenade for my bride. They worked with me at length to have a guitar and a microphone waiting for me on stage. They even set the guitar up in an alternate tuning! Shimmer will clearly go above and beyond to make sure you and your guests are happy. -

Shimmer did such an amazing job at our wedding! They were so much fun and played all of the music we love, and even learned our first dance song that was really special to us. Their energy was fantastic and the dance floor was packed all night long! They got the party started, kept the energy going, and really fed off our guests.
Jay, the band leader, was such a pleasure to work with and was so attentive to every detail. From the moment they took the stage until the last song, we had a blast with them. Shimmer were truly awesome performers. I really wish we could do it all over again.
