Planning a wedding is never easy, but especially not during a pandemic! Becky and her team were willing to make anything work for us whether that meant Plan A, B or C. She listened to our thoughts and made the menu fit perfectly with who we are! From the very first tasting to the cocktail hour and dinner, everything was amazing! She was able to help us create a Mexican themed cocktail hour and a Covid friendly dinner! Her team worked amazing with all of our vendors! She was thoughtful, insightful, and she helped us to realize things that we did and did not need! Because of their customer service, we will definitely be using Sherm’s Catering again. We love you Becky! -

We booked Sherm's catering early on in our engagement and I'm so glad we did! From beginning to end, Becky, Jessie and their team were communicative, supportive and most importantly in 2020, flexible!
We had to make so many changes over the last several months due to varying restrictions and health concerns, and they remained easy going and accommodating each step of the way. The food was great (get the mac and cheese balls - they're AMAZING), and service phenomenal.
Special shout out to Jessie for checking in on me during the wedding to make sure everything was going well. I also saw her go out of her way to make sure our other vendors were taken care of during the reception; our photographer was so appreciative to have a full meal even though her diet restrictions meant she wasn't going to be able to eat what the rest of the guests were).
We are incredibly grateful to have found such a great team for our minimony this year and look forward to working with them again when we are able to do a larger celebration next year! -

Being a bride during a pandemic is stressful to say the least. We had to cancel with original catering company due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are heartbroken, but soon found out that it was the biggest blessing in disguise. Becky at Sherm's made everything so painless from the very first e-mail that I sent to her. Her responsiveness was impeccable. She answered my million and one questions so quickly and made the whole process stress free! They made a backyard wedding feel so elegant! The day of the wedding, it POURED right before the reception (during our ceremony). The tent side blew open and linens were SOAKED and table arrangements were destroyed. Becky and her team changed the wet linens and set the tables that were destroyed before all of our guests and bridal party arrived. My husband and I didnt even know this happened until the nest day. When the bride and groom and bridal party arrived, the bride and groom were Becky's top priority. She made sure we had a drink in our hand, and food in our stomachs. She even bustled my dress for me! The food was out of this world, no one went home hungry, no ones drinks were empty, and all of our guests raved about Sherm's. I will recommend Sherm's catering to anyone and everyone, for any event! -

We had to postpone our wedding twice due to Coronavirus. Through the entire process, Sherm's (we dealt primarily with Becky) has been one the best of our vendors in terms of flexibility and understanding. There is a genuine warmth with any interactions, which is important anytime but especially given the current environment. While we postponed our big wedding, we did have a small 30 person gathering for an intimate wedding at my in-laws. My in-laws were so impressed with Sherm's response that they hired Sherm's to cater the small wedding. The steak was high quality even though served on a buffet. The mustard crusted chicken was to die for. We got a southern mac and cheese that was reaaaally tasty. Our guests were ecstatic about the food, with a lot of them saying it was the best wedding food they have had. Great food. Great service. Will certainly have them back for our wedding that is now scheduled for 2021. Thanks Sherm's and thanks Becky.

We got married at Rosewood Farms and Becky and the whole team was amazing to work with! With all the uncertainty in weddings now a days she made it known that she was there to help us with whatever we needed. She is extremely knowledgable and helpful throughout all of the planning. Sherm's also provides the linens which was awesome and they were a great help in setting up and tearing down. We did different food stations and they were a huge hit! We had seafood, sliders, pasta, and fajitas all at different stations. Becky even planted fresh herbs and brought them for the station tables which were great. I highly recommend the entire team! Would work with them again for any event :) -

Becky from Sherm's Catering was the perfect partner to work with in planning one of the most important parts of our wedding. She was super responsive to emails and on top of everything from the very beginning, helping us make decisions all long the way. Cocktail hour and dinner ran smoothly and in addition to the exceptional customer service, the food was delicious! For the quality in service, food and the affordable price, we can't recommend Sherm's highly enough! -

Becky and Sherm are great to work with! They are very responsive to e-mails and answering any questions that we had. We got married at Rosewood Farms in Elkton, MD on 12/22/19 for our Christmas themed wedding. The details that were put into place was amazing and the food was amazing at an affordable price. Everyone loved the food and especially the hot cocoa bar. I highly recommend using Sherm's for any of your catering needs. -

Sherm catered our wedding on 10/12/2019 at Rosewood Farms in Elkton, MD. When we first booked Rosewood we were pleased to see that Sherm was a preferred caterer. My step-mom and her family have worked with him before, and he has a great reputation “around town.” When dealing with a venue like Rosewood, you need a great caterer. It is very “DIY” and Sherm’s was able to fill in all of the gaps. They provided set up, breakdown, linens, bartenders, mixers, even a few decorations. We brought our own desserts and they set them up and provided trays to display them. Whatever I wanted- they were able to provide. Becky was basically a wedding planner and a true God send. I could ask her anything, and she was always willing to help. We had a buffet with a filet carving station and plated Caesar salad. Our buffet had green beans, brussels and bacon, roasted red potatoes, mustard glazed chicken, & the star of the show- butternut squash raviolis. Good Lord- those things are to die for. For appetizers we did a meat and cheese spread with fruit and veggies. We also had a few passed hors d'oeuvres. Everyone loved the food. Sherm and Becky were there for us every step of the way, and I couldn’t have pulled this off without them. I would not hesitate to recommend Sherm. Whatever you need- they will be able to help. -

The quality of service with these guys is really fantastic; they really just want to make sure that your day is perfect and one that you remember as being carefree and fun! The food is wonderful and they were very accommodating when creating a menu within our budget. They offered trusted references for other quality services in the area and have really been a blessing throughout planning. -

We loved everyone who was a part of our wedding with Sherm's. They were amazing. We had a vision to have "small plate stations", rather than a meal, and they really made it come true for us. Everyone was so helpful and amazing. They even made sure we got to eat! -

Initially we had a great process with Sherm's. Due to the current pandemic we shifted gears about two months prior to the big day and decided to have the wedding in our backyard with about 70 guests as opposed to a venue in Philadelphia. Becky was more than accommodating in getting us pricing and set up for a tasting. She was quick to respond, the food was awesome, pricing was great, and there wasn't anything we asked of her that she said no to. Day of, things were mostly smooth. Set up was quick, the displays were pretty, and everything tasted great! However, as things progressed into the evening we had many guests ask us where to put their trash/clear their plates because things started to really pile up. We decided on cocktail style and dishes were stacked on the tables to the point where (unknown to me on the day of) my Father had to help buss some of the tables. Additionally, given the current circumstances we asked if Sherm's could help us take care of and maintain our bathrooms to ensure cleanliness for the guests. Becky assured us this was something they could help us with even though it was out of the normal realm of business, however, on the night of paper towels were scattered all over the floor in the bathroom because the trash can was overflowing. Again, unknown to me the night of my Mother ended up tending to the bathrooms. We also paid for trash removal, but found numerous bags in our own trash cans the next day, specifically in our yard waste can which I had to remove and place into the right one. We also were told we'd have coffee service, which never happened. Both my husband and I were interested in a cup that night and no one ever offered/no station was to be found. My Mother also made cupcakes for dessert which Becky expressed to us she'd display nicely on risers and pedestals. The serving staff that night had no idea about the cupcakes and when we asked about it they initially told my Mother it wasn't their responsibility to display them. Eventually they agreed, but placed them out on the tables flat, no display pieces were used. We also asked for a fruit display for dessert. This was also placed among the cupcakes and only three plates were placed out for the entire dessert display, there was no utensil to serve the fruit, rather the staff asked me for some of my own toothpicks and placed them throughout all the fruit so guests could pick up the pieces one by one. Not only was it unattractive, but unsanitary given the current situation. My mother-in-law asked for some more plates and forks so she could have some of the desserts and they said all they could offer her were a couple paper plates they managed to find. Overall, Sherm's was wonderful leading up and lead me through the process with not a doubt in my mind that things wouldn't be perfect. The issues mentioned before in no way ruined my evening as most went unseen to me, thanks to my parents stepping in/taking special care to keep me unaware. However, the need for them to do that is what I found most disappointing. In the same way I was able to enjoy the day, my Father and Mother shouldn't have been worrying about cleaning bathrooms or bussing tables. Although we realized some more work than normal would be needed by us due to having the wedding at our home, these issues shouldn't have been addressed by anyone in attendance especially the Father and Mother of the Bride when they were something previously addressed and reassured to me by Becky. -

We had Sherm’s cater our wedding this September. While all the food was good, the customer service is a little lacking. During the planning process all seemed well, as did the walk through. We had no real issues so to speak. However, at our wedding, the cocktail hour was not what we discussed. At our walk through it was mentioned & discussed that it would outdoors at the venues fountain. However, on the day of the wedding, this was not the case. After our coordinator set all the tables and decor up, she was informed that it was “not discussed” that we would be doing it outdoors. Multiple people attended the walk through, including myself and my husband, so we know this was indeed discussed. Anyway, the coordinator tried to resolve it and still have everything the way it was planned, but catering refused to make any adjustments. For the amount you pay for catering I would expect there to be some wiggle room, or perhaps atleast try to resolve it with both parties happy but that was not the case. We even mentioned this to the owner when he asked how everything was during the wedding, and we kind of got dismissed. We were made to feel as it was our fault, and we did something wrong, even though it was a misunderstanding on their end. They claim it was our fault, but on the final wedding timeline that they got weeks prior, it specifically mentions cocktail hour would be around the fountain… so clearly they missed that detail. We would not have been as upset if they would have at least tried to be accommodating instead of shutting us down immediately and giving us no option but to have it under the tent. Anyway, to wrap up the review their food in indeed delicious, but customer service could be improved upon. Giving a good review based on their food, but will not be passing on any recommendations for their services.
