We set up a meeting time back in June or July for my fiance to check out the area and the wedding planner set aside the area until I cam back from a trip in August so we could make a final decision which was very gracious of them. I had always imagined having a plated breakfast for our dinner and they were able to do that with no problem what so ever at a VERY reasonable price. We signed the contract right on the spot in August at a great price. However, a couple of things did occur. We were meant to be in their ballroom with the higher ceiling but the wedding planner that we had signed the contract with had not put us there and kept us in the lower ceiling ball room according to the contract. A few months before the wedding we were told our wedding planner was no longer there and we would be seeing a different one. The new one thought we could stay in the higher ball room but it had already been reserved by someone else. (Not a big deal at all but slightly disappointing.) We also hit a hiccup where over half of our tables were reserved for our open seating arrangement but the Maid of Honor was able to iron it out very quickly. The staff was absolutely amazing that night! They made sure to check on me and the groom constantly and helped us make sure everything was on schedule. The food we got (French Toast) was delicious and it was a very big portioned plate so we were very satisfied. Over all a great wedding at a great price and I would suggest anyone to plan an event at the Sheraton

We had a large wedding (400 guests). A large wedding is a hard task to undertake, but we were reassured that everything would be fine. After our invitations were printed, we were informed that they had to change the time of our event to an hour later than we had planned because a more expensive event was booked after our contract was signed. We were offered a cocktail hour in a smaller ballroom with complimentary chips and salsa to try and appease us. We were told our buffet setup would be put together in the same ballroom around our guests during the cocktail hour. It was all really hard to imagine, but we felt we had no other alternative (our deposit was made, contract signed, invitations printed). We did not have enough time or resources to find another venue. We were then informed that our dinner would be plated instead of buffet to allow more time...we were then informed that everything would be set up at the original time we had requested and no more cocktail hour. Our wedding coordinator had been in contract with our DJ and cake person....the cake was set up on time, but our DJ was never informed that the time had yet again changed. Our DJ was setting up when our guests were already lining the hallway. We ended up having to make our grand entrance later than we had planned. I was informed our guests were finally allowed into the ballrooms a half hour later than we were told they would be. They were starting to get restless standing in the crowded hallway. The food was good, but the plating wasn't very accurate. There was butter on the tables but the majority of the tables had no breads. A lot of the plates were missing tamales (brides plate included). All in all we ended up married at then end of the day and that is the most important thing, but we do feel that there was a lot of unnecessary stress and inconvenience that we went thru to get there.
