Shelly Sarver is the most talented florist I've ever met!

I found Shelly Sarver designs on social media, and was immediately blown away by her stunningly beautiful, creative and unique floral designs! Then I met her in person, and our design meeting was probably the most fun meeting I’ve had planning our wedding.

Shelly actually designed florals for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and both designs were so unique and different! We had so many plans for beautiful, summery florals before our June wedding got postponed due to COVID. Despite our new wedding date being in December, Shelly made sure we had the original flowers we had planned for and literally had them FLOWN IN from South America! Our wedding guests were in awe asking how we had managed to get these florals in December. But that’s Shelly for you. She went above and beyond for us to have the wedding we had originally envisioned.

Overall our wedding weekend was extremely beautiful, and that is in a large part due to Shelly’s creative and gorgeous designs. She really took my vision and turned it into a reality, the highlight of which was our jaw-dropping chuppah for our Jewish ceremony, which was later re-purposed for our reception (design and functionality = my favorite combination!). She also has some beautiful props we utilized, such as shelving and goblets, so don’t forget to ask her about those. Thank you so much Shelly for turning my floral dreams into a reality! Fantastic Florist!

Shelly was an absolute joy to work with! Shelly designed the bouquets, flower crown, floating floral hoops, and floral arch for our wedding in September. She exceeded every single hope I had for each piece! Somehow, she was able to not only understand my ideas, but bring them to life beautifully. She really took the time to get to know me and the wedding my husband and I were hoping to have. She is a complete master of floral design and brings incredible knowledge and expertise. Shelly was so respectful of our budget and created breathtaking designs without breaking the bank. The arrangements were STUNNING and the venue was beyond perfect. Her creativity left me completely speechless. To top it all off, Shelly has such a fun personality. She is funny, kind, and very passionate about what she does. I felt like a member of the family throughout this whole experience. Shelly, thank you so much to you and your incredibly talented team for making our day beautiful and so much more special. I could not recommend her more highly!!

Amazing, unique florals!

Shelly and her team designed my florals for my November 2019 wedding. They were, without a doubt, a WORK OF ART. Shelly is so unbelievably talented and her work shines through so perfectly in every floral piece she designs. I was a needy bride throughout the year and a half I planned, and Shelly’s attention to detail and patience through the planning process makes her by far one of the best floral designers in the Midwest. We have gotten so many compliments on the flowers and reception décor – our reception venue looked like a DREAM and it was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I was truly speechless when I saw all of the florals. She took my vision and made it a reality. Thank you Shelly and team for playing such a huge and important part of our wedding day. We are so grateful!

I would give Shelly 10 out of 5 stars if I could! Her work is unique and bold. She is amazing to work with and gets to know you on a personal level to understand the overall vision you have. We still receive compliments on how beautiful our flowers were. If you're looking for a florist with a creative mind that will bring your venue and pictures to life, you must get in touch with Shelly! Even though Shelly had such a small part of our special day, it seemed like she had a big part in our day. She has made a lasting impression for years to come and I love having our wedding pictures throughout our home with the non-traditional fall flowers she chose for us! We can never thank Shelly enough! (Below are just a few pictures of the gorgeous creations).

Shelly is unbelievably creative, thoughtful, and talented! She was a dream to work with and helped make our wedding day unforgettable and gorgeous. We had ideas about the floral aesthetic we wanted but Shelly took it to the next level! And she did it within our budget. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Shelly!

Shelly was a complete joy to work with! From our initial meeting, it felt like she could read my mind and see exactly what my vision for our wedding day was--and even then, our flowers turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. Shelly is a true artist, but also such a great person. She was so easy to work with, was very understanding of financial concerns and worked hard to stay within my budget while still giving me florals I wanted (e.g., she recommended flowers very similar to my favorites but at cheaper price points), and helped rework things last minute when we got some new information from our venue a week before the wedding. I loved all of our flowers, but the rounded floral arch Shelly created for our ceremony was absolutely breathtaking. I can't recommend Shelly enough!

If you seen Shelly's work, you know she is AMAZING! But her personality is the best, you can tell that she loves what she does and she is the absolute best! I had big ideas for what I wanted for my wedding, and Shelly from the first meeting got my vision, and our personality clicked! She is so personable, even down to knowing what my dress looked liked, she spent hours talking through ideas, options, and price point! She is so willing to work with her customers, and doing everything in her power to make their dreams come true. She definitely transformed our venue and completed all my visions! I would recommend Shelly a million times over, I can't say enough good things about her and her business.

Shelly server design is truly the best. We met with Shelly on multiple occasions so that she would have an idea of what we liked. And she absolutely nailed it. On the day of our wedding I walked into our event venue and was amazed because it was everything and more that I could've dreamed of. she is reliable, professional and so talented at what she does! I was recently married this past October in Ankeny, IA. After doing research online and talking to a few friends that used Shelley for their own weddings, I knew she was the person I wanted to hire. Shelley had amazing ideas from the beginning. She was easy to work with, accommodating to my budget and understood what I wanted (even when I couldn't articulate my vision all that clearly). We were very fortunate to work with Shelly for our wedding in Iowa City - it was a brand new venue and she made the extra effort of coming out to look at the space and go over design ideas with us as well as bringing a trial flower crown for me. We initially chose Shelly because we loved her natural, romantic look and her creativity and she did not disappoint - the arrangements for all of our spaces were perfect. We asked Shelly to incorporate my late father-in-laws deer antlers as a way to have his memory be a special part of our day. She was thoughtful and very open to our request and did a beautiful job incorporating them. Shelly was easy to work with and is in touch when she needs to be but does not burden busy brides with over-communication. I cannot say enough good things about working with Shelly and her arrangements!

I really had no idea what I wanted when I met with Shelly for the first time other than a sea of purple flowers for my wedding. She did a fantastic job of making the church and reception venue look beautiful. I appreciated how Shelly worked with my other vendors (i.e. reception venue and decorator) to coordinate everything. This was really helpful and took some of the stress of of me. All of my flowers were just so creative and gave the wow factor. I just wish I could keep them forever.

Shelly was super friendly and very very helpful! I had no idea what I wanted going in and she took the time to get to know my fiance and me and I fully trust her decisions with flowers. She was also a lot less expensive than I thought she'd be!! Overall wonderful!

Flowers were the one thing I was a little overwhelmed with when planning our wedding - they are all so beautiful and I couldn't narrow it down. The second I started bouncing ideas off of Shelly, I could just tell she understood what I wanted. She is one of the most creative people I have ever met and she not only met my expectations, she exceeded them. Hands down this is the flower vendor I would use again if getting married soon. I will also continue to recommend Shelly Sarver Designs to any of my friends curious about who to use. There are several people who looked at our photos who said, "You guys look great and all, but THOSE FLOWERS!"
Shelly and I discussed my husband's love for hops, and she went so far as to have about 6 dried hops sent down to her from Minneapolis to include in his boutonniere. It was a thoughtful surprise and one that made us feel really special and listened to.
Lastly, I was a rather hands of bride with most things. Shelly and I talked about my basic wants and needs and she ran with it from there. I trusted her and she sure did deliver.

I can't even imagine my entire wedding planning process without the help of Shelly Sarver Designs! While she was technically hired to provide all center pieces & floral arrangements - she went above and beyond her role assisting in ALL areas of the wedding to ensure that each piece coordinated well. From assuring that the bridesmaid dresses fit the style & flair of the wedding theme to constant attention with help on the small details from setup to napkins. My career is very demanding and I know for certain that without Shelly Sarver arriving to deliver excellence & play FULL out to make our special day a success it would have in no way been the complete stress free day that it was. It was an outdoor backyard affair that had down pour rains for 2 weeks prior - and when 48 hours before the wedding we needed to completely change the location and design of the entire wedding - there was Shelly to not only be ready and willing to help with a new design - but MOST importantly to assure me that everything would be ok! I may not have been able to have my dream wedding in the same place in the back yard - it may have been moved up to the front yard on concrete over flowing into a garage - but I wouldn't even change a thing because Shelly made that space come alive with class & elegance! I will never forget all of the elements she brought in from the breathtaking bouquets coordinating all of my favorite floral pieces ... to the golden candelabras ... to my FAVORITE piece ... a REAL WORKING CHANDELIER in the tree behind our head table dawned with glittery gold overlays! Being in the service industry myself I have found that finding those who genuinely care about this being the most important day of your life and serving from a special place in their heart are irreplaceable ... and that is exactly what Shelly Sarver Designs will do. Thank you Shelly for creating taking my VISION into a REALITY and BEYOND!

Shelly is absolutely great! I don't really have a favorite flower or know much about them so all I gave her were my colors and my style (romantic, classy, etc.) and she nailed it.

Shelly Sarver is incredible and I highly recommend her for your wedding! The flowers were more gorgeous than I could have dreamed! They held up so well through the day, too. We were on a tighter budget and Shelly was happy to work with us. She created wonderful centerpieces for us on a tight budget. They went so well with our elegant vintage wedding theme! Shelly has great creative vision! Everyone commented on how gorgeous the flowers and centerpieces were. Shelly was very easy to work with and she is very professional. She took our ideas for flowers and went above and beyond. Again, cannot recommend her enough!!!

Shelly is simply amazing at what she does! I was fairly sure at the beginning of my wedding planning that I had no idea what I was doing, and had no idea what I wanted! Shelly was an absolute doll in helping me through everything! She helped me to transform my over pinning on pinterest, and loverly account loves into a reality better than I could have ever imagined! She helped me to find the perfect reception location after my original fell through, and listened to every single endless question, concern and idea. I think calling Shelly a florist alone is an understatement. She truly was my wedding planner and designer, and never let me overlook a detail in the wedding design. My wedding and reception were more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed! I never even told her what I wanted for the ceremony, and told her to surprise me because she would do a better job than I could ever dream! I was blown away by the beauty of the ceremony, and I made the right choice by letting her work her magic! Shelly was one of my best investments of my wedding, because she did so much to make it what it was. She was honest with me when I was trying to go overboard in details, which meant a lot to me! I was trying to do way too much, which would have costed way too much. Instead she was honest and directed me away from the things that would cost, but wouldn't make an impact.

I cannot recommend Shelly enough! She is amazing at what she does, and is truly worth every single penny and more! I looked forward to every single appointment. And loved all of our meetings and her hard work come together to make my wedding so beautiful! I was so blessed to find such a kind, driven, and creative person to help me through my planning process!

I wish I could give Shelly a higher rating on value, because WOW!! I could not believe what she was able to do with the budget I set forth. The centerpieces were exquisite and I can't even begin to describe the fantastic bouquets. I was able to do everything over the phone or through email with Shelly and she was produced exactly what I wanted. I was so happy with everything she did at the ceremony and reception. I was speechless!!!

I planned a wedding in two and a half months and Shelly was very accommodating. She was easy to work with and she got all the information she needed the first time we met. She asked me to send her pictures of some items that were going to be used (from dresses and tuxes to jewelry and centerpiece ideas). She was able to match my theme perfectly and better than I had imagined. She was also very flexible on helping to fit everything into my budget while still giving me a beautiful wedding.

Shelly did a great job with the flowers for my wedding! I knew when I got engaged that I wanted Shelly to be my florist. I have been to many weddings that she did the floral arrangements for and they were always unique and beautiful! I am not all that creative and wasn't that great at telling her what I wanted but somehow she took the few things I told her and made the perfect arrangements! I don't think I could have loved them any more!

My family has used Shelly as our flowerist since I was in high school. I knew when my wedding came up she was the only person I wanted to use. I had ideas in my mind about what my wedding would look like and flowers were at the top of importance to me. Shelly and I met a few times before the wedding and I had complete confidence she would make my day beautiful. The day of the wedding I was truly blown away by every flower arrangment she put together for me. Shelly not only gives you the flowers you ask for but she goes above and beyond your wildest dreams for your wedding. Even though I live in a different town as Shelly, I will continue to use her for years to come because she truly gives you more than you can ever imagine!

Shelly Sarver did an amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. She knew what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. I had so many complements on how beautiful the flowers were, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience with her. Shelly always knows what the up and coming trends are for flowers as well as how to always make them look unique and beautiful. I have seen many weddings done by Shelly, and all were exquisite. Shelly Sarver Designs was great to work with and very flexible. She was always able to answer questions for me and set up times to meet to go over details. My flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful, she did such a fantastic job and tied in all the small details i was wanting and much more. I recommend her to each and every up coming bride, you wont go wrong with Shelly Sarver Designs, she is a must have for wedding floral!

Shelly is an amazing woman to work with - I couldn't have asked for a better vendor in this area. She figured out my style and knew how to take my thoughts and make them look BEAUTIFUL! I'm not a creative person, and Shelly helped me narrow down my likes and dislikes so I had the perfect fit for me. Her glitz and glam to go along with her designs were just what I needed, and she provided me with exceptional attention to detail. My flowers AND decor took my wedding to the next level - all while staying in a budget that felt comfortable and we agreed upon. You won't be disappointed!!! :)

I rated Shelly Sarver Designs a 5 out of 5 on all scales! Shelly listened to my vision and made it come alive. She was open to my ideas, and she added in her own ideas that really made the day beautiful! She can do any style of decor. The flowers were beautiful for the whole day, they never even wilted a bit. Plus, she also helps with ideas for other aspects of the day besides flower and decor. She has been in the wedding business so long that she is very knowledgeable about other vendors as well. I have known Shelly and worked with her for a long time and can personally vouch for the happiness of so many of her other brides as well! I would highly recommend Shelly Sarver Designs for all your flower and decor needs!

Not only is her work amazing, Shelly's love for creating beautiful spaces and events is impossible to miss. Throughout your wedding consultations, she will question every detail you have planned to ensure the flowers (and the rest of your decor) are exactly what they should be. Shelly is constantly searching for new inspirations and offering her ideas.

When the day comes, she'll be in full creative swing. She has a way with channeling the bride's wishes, and turning out a truly gorgeous setting.

Shelly happens to be one of the most talented florists I have worked with. I have attended other weddings where the flowers were done by Shelly and I was amazed at the unique and visually interesting combinations she put together. Over the years I have ordered flowers from Shelly for other events and they are always beautiful, long lasting, and admired by all. I would highly recommend Shelly to anyone looking for flowers and decor that aren't just like everyone else's and are designed to suit your personality.

Shelly is the best. Every time I see her arrangements I am in love and my wedding was no different. My bouquet was truly a work of art. She also creating the most amazing hanging piece for our ceremony and head table. I was able to meet with her twice before the wedding and just left the rest to her! I would send all my friends to her again and again.

I was so very pleased with Shelly's bouquets she made for my wedding. We contacted through email and she made a google document which made it easy to share my ideas. The flowers were beautiful and were exactly what I imagined!!

She did a wonderful job with the flowers and decorating but she did spread herself a little thin that day booking 3 weddings and forgot a few items but brought them by before the wedding so I was pleased with her services.
