Shelley is amazing. I wasn't going to write a review b/c she is no longer doing wedding photography, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that she is amazing. I'm not the kind of girl who has dreamed of her wedding her entire life, but I did see Shelley's work about 4 years ago b/c one of my friends used her for her wedding. The one thing that I did know when I got engaged was that I wanted her as a photographer and I'm so glad I got her just in time!!!Shelley is amazing. I wasn't going to write a review b/c she is no longer doing wedding photography, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that she is amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. As everyone knows, weddings can be stressful and Shelly really made the day stress-free and comfortable. She managed to capture everything at our wedding. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking!!! They photos turned out much better than we could have ever dreamed. It was such a amazing day and Shelly and her assistant really captured it well! I would recommend Shelly Paulson Photography to all future brides!We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Shelley provided service and results above and beyond my expectations. She was the perfect combination of encouragement, excitement, professionalism and risk taking to get the perfect shot. I couldn't be more thrilled with the memories Shelley captured for my husband and I at our wedding reception. Shelley was wonderfully flexible when we decided to run off to a beach for our actual wedding! Our reception was one of the hottest days of the year, and Shelley still ran all over to capture every moment possible. What I love about her work is how she captures the moments, you can literally feel what people are feeling, through her pictures. The posed, traditional style was far from what I was looking for, and Shelley fit perfect. Not only was she always responsive to my emails and many questions, but she was always so pleasant to correspond with! Shelley Paulson is an extraordinary photographer, but even more so, an extraordinary individual. My husband and I chose Shelley as our wedding photographer not solely based on her incredible portfolio, but because we also enjoyed her as a person and very much wanted her a part of our big day! She is constantly finding inspiration and desires to capture authentic moments - exactly what two people in love hope to look back on further down their road.
Shelley, we thank you for sharing your enthusiasm, hard work, and awesome perspective on life. Not only did you take beautiful engagement and wedding photos, but were even there to support us outside of your professional duties (she took the time to pray for me as I was having a melt-down only moments before the ceremony.) Shelley did phenomenal work at our wedding. I was overjoyed with the results of her photos. She was so easy to work with, my husband and I felt so comfortable around her and it showed in the photos. We don't know much about photography ourselves so didn't have any direction or really many requests for her. She simply did what she does best and we couldn't have been happier. We actually had a different (less expensive) photographer lined up, but after seeing the results of our engagement photos we immediately went searching for a new photographer. We sure got lucky in finding Shelly. I still follow her blog because I just love looking at all her work.Shelley did phenomenal work at our wedding. I was overjoyed with the results of her photos. We had the best experience working with Shelley and loved how our pictures turned out. Shelley is super professional and works really hard to make sure she knows you as a couple. She didn’t miss a single moment of our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our pictures or the service she provided. Shelley Paulson took our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and day-after session photos. She was amazing! Before our engagement shoot that was supposed to be in late March outside, we had a blizzard! She was upbeat and flexible and found indoor locations we ended up liking even more. She provided consultation at our wedding venue to make sure we had enough lighting for the ceremony photos, which was a lifesaver, as it had been way too dark. She shot from morning until evening on our wedding day, and then hiked through the forest the next day to get creative day-after location shots, that turned out breathtaking. We had so much fun too. My fiance was a little apprehensive about a "photo shoot" for the engagement, but she is so fun and easy going, sh makes you feel comfortable and confident. By the wedding, we weren't stressed about pictures at all. We felt totally released to be ourselves trusting she'd get the best shots to help us remember our day, and she did. I've been around photographers before, and so many are awkward guys. I knew I didn't want that for my wedding, and I'm so thankful I had Shelley. She provided our photos after the wedding promptly - no waiting 6 months for photos, and helped advise us on options for photo books, custom framing, and prints. We felt like she provided her expertise without feeling pressured to buy more products. She captured all our special moments and made it about OUR wedding, not HER photography portfolio. All the photos are classically beautifully, not just "trendy" but something that will look good in 20 years too. Shelley Paulson did the most amazing job photographing our wedding! She is very personable, creative, thorough, and professional. She made our special day even more memorable, and it wouldn't have been the save without her. Now we have gorgeous pictures to remember it by. She even encouraged my husband to be (at that time) and myself, to see each other an hour before the ceremony. So that she could photograph us and so that we could take each other in. We absoulty loved shelley and her assisstant! We are so glad that everything worked out so that she could be with us on our wedding day. The pictures were absoulty gorgeous and I still get compliments on them. I would recommend her to anyone! We cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Shelley. She is the epitome of professionalism, and her photography is excellent. She met with us several times to really get to know us. Shelley is very easy to work with, and we both felt very comfortable working with her. We both feel like she did a fantastic job of portraying us and our "style".

She worked hard to get to know my husband and I so that we would not only be comfortable with her, but also that her technique would reflect our personality. Each photo makes every moment look magical. Her prices are competitive for the quality and fairy-tale style of photography that she does. Every picture is perfect...none of anyone with eyes half closed, none of that photojournalism, "I can take pictures as well as uncle Bob" stuff. She edits her pictures and presented us with a beautiful, keepsake momento of our wedding.
