Wedding hair and makeup

Shelby made the day of my wedding such a breeze. Her communication was amazing and any thing I had questions on she was more than happy to answer. She was able to provide the perfect look that I wanted for the special day!

Simply the best

Shelby is simply amazing. She was super flexible and came to my hotel for my makeup trial. On the day of, she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable & at ease and made me look absolutely stunning for my big day. She made me feel beautiful and elegant and my hair was exactly what I asked for (as I sent her photos beforehand). Thank you, Shelby!

Shelby was amazing to work with for my wedding. She was very chill and easy to coordinate with, and always easy to get in touch with. I so appreciated that came to my house for a make up trial and made flawless adjustments for the day of! I was so happy with my make up! She also did make up for a few bridesmaids and my
mom, some of who were nervous about having professional makeup done... She made it a great experience for them and they felt gorgeous without feeling over done.

Shelby was amazing to work with! She did hair and makeup for me, my 7 bridesmaids, and our moms. Everything was so seamless, even with such a large group! We all looked perfect for my big day! My venue was kind of far away, and Shelby was there on time and ready to go! I would definitely work with her again!

Shelby was a sweet angel baby! She was so awesome to work with and always happy and cheerful. I have pretty fine hair and the vintage style updo I wanted seemed impossible to achieve to me but she made it happen. She's a miracle worker. Not only was she amazingly talented,quick, and prompt, but she was awesome to talk to. She made me feel like an old friend was doing my hair. We chatted and laughed during the trial and day of wedding hair. I have a pretty insane schedule with work and my business and she was able to work around it. She offered input and opinions when needed. Shelby drove to my ridiculously stupid far wedding destination and blew me away with the most absolute dream worthy hair imaginable. She even arrived a little earlier than planned which was awesome as it ended up really helping me speed along with the other things in my timeline. She and her assistant had my MOH's hair looking fly in seconds! I will continue to recommend her services to anyone who asks or will listen!!!! I got nothing but compliments all day on my hair, and I truly feel like Shelby is the kind of woman I'd love to sit down and pound some tequila shots and margs with. Call me girl!!!!

Shelby is super chill and easy to work with. We did a hair trial prior to my wedding day but I opted to just wing the makeup day of. I showed her a few pictures and she delivered a look better than I could have described. My hair is long and naturally curly and she created a super pretty side do and secured a hair clip. In all, my hair and makeup only took 1 hour and lasted all night long.

Shelby went above and beyond on my special day. To start off with, she personally kept in touch with me thru text and email from day one. Then on the day of my wedding she was there even before i was which was beyond helpful because i had a couple people to add onto my wedding party for hair and makeup, which she was more than happy to accommodate me with. She was fast, professionally, and amazing with everyones hair and makeup, and it lasted all thru the day and after even with all the happy tears and sweat from dancing. Shelby then reached out to me after the wedding day, to see how everything went which i wasnt expecting and was very happy with. I will be sure to recommend Shelby to all my family and friends who are considering professionall hair or makeup for their big day. :)

Shelby was absolutely amazing to work with! Shelby provided hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. She was easy to communicate with prior to the wedding day, she was professional, she easily adjusted to last minute changes with makeup and made the overall experience of getting prepared a fun one. I would absolutely recommend Shelby to anyone looking for hair and makeup for any event.

Shelby did a wonderful job with my wedding hair and makeup and also for my wedding party! She listened to what I wanted and accommodated my last minute changes! She even did my flower girl's hair as a last minute request! Shelby had a long way to travel but was right on time and did her best to work everyone in even when we were not as prompt! Would definitely recommend! :)

Shelby did my hair for a wedding that was Beas part of yesterday. I was a bridesmaid. It was done very early in the morning and it lasted all day. I received many compliments and she will definitely be used and recommended in the future by myself and friends.

Shelby is FANTASTIC she showed up early regardless of the crazy amounts of ice everywhere ! she worked slowly to understand everything from my grandmother who didnt speak english. nailed my makeup and it stayed all day!! i cried like a baby at my ceremony and it was still perfect !! book with her without a question!

Shebly did my hair and makeup for my wedding including my bridal party. Everyone was very pleased on how she took her time with every girl. She was also on time to my maid of honor's house. I would definitely recommend her for all your hair and makeup needs for any occasion.

From start to finish, dealing with Shelby was a pleasure. I'm all about the questions and, any that I had before the event were answered rapidly and completely. The day of the event, Shelby could not have been more professional, calming, and helpful. Shelby listened to each of the bridal party's ideas for what they wanted and took it to the next level. She maintained each one's individuality but, managed to pull every look together to keep in line with the wedding's theme. Everyone was beyond pleased with their hair and makeup, noting that they loved the look and the feel of the products and services Shelby provided.
Shelby was on time, ready to work, and did not leave until every detail was flawless. The only touch ups needed throughout the day were lipsticks, that Shelby made sure were on hand as needed.
If you are looking for a stress-free, pampering, entertaining, attentive professional for your special day, Shelby and Shear Metal Beauty is the way to go.

Shelby was absolutely wonderful to work with. I had some previous experiences with some pretty terrible artists in the past but my friend reccomended her and now I will never use anybody else

Shelby was awesome!! I had a makeup artist cancel on my the Monday of my wedding week and I was in a panic!! I messaged Shelby and she got back to me same day, said she was available and explained her process to me.
Wedding day came around, she arrived early :) and got my make up done. I loved it, and it lasted my whole wedding and clean up!!!

Shelby done an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I could haven't asked for anyone better. She is very professional and sweet young lady. I even changed a few things from when we done my trial. She had no issue at all. Every person loved what she done. I will be booking her for every event I have.

Shelby was beyond wonderful! She was so pleasant to work with and incredibly accommodating! I went with a vintage styled wedding, and Shelby nailed my makeup, making the whole look come together wonderfully!

Amazing. Just amazing. Shelby was not only professional, she was relaxed, funny, sweet and helpful.

Listen - on the morning of you wedding, you are so nervous and stressed, the last thing you need is your stylist being aloof or distant. You want someone who can come into whatever situation/space there is and not only fit in, but make the atmosphere happier and more peaceful. Shelby does this naturally. She felt like one of the girls. People were coming in and out of the room all morning, minor crises arose, kids were running about, and Shelby rolled with it and enjoyed it genuinely.

The hairstyles were unreal. With very little direction, Shelby did wonders. Not only were the styles beautiful, they were matched perfectly to compliment face shapes, and also to pair with the dress styles. My bridesmaids looked incredible. It was a super windy day but, amazingly, even when the styles got tousled, they still looked gorgeous.

She finished my hair, and I asked for a little more body on the sides, and she did it without any problem in just a couple of minutes. My makeup was divine, doing exactly what it should do - enhance the good parts and soften the bad. My skin looked radiant, and it stayed on through the ceremony and TWO receptions.

Thank you, Shelby. You made sure I felt beautiful on a once-in-a-lifetime day, and you were a pleasure to have with me on that crazy morning.

Shelby was awesome! None of us bridesmaids really knew what we wanted with our hair and she had great suggestions and did a wonderful job. The makeup was amazing as well, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect look for each of us bridesmaids and the bride herself. Our looks also lasted all day despite the crazy Pittsburgh humidity. I grabbed one of Shelby's cards so I can make sure to contact her for my wedding!

What can I say? One word, fantastic. I'm absolutely thrilled with the server I received from Shear Metal Beauty. Someone like myself barely likes to brush their hair on a normal day, so I really needed someone to do it for me on the big day. Not only was my hair done extremely well, but my beard was groomed and I got a nice trim. I'm extremely satisfied with everything and I definitely got what I paid for. 5/5, I recommend to everyone!

Shelby from Shear Metal Beauty did an exceptional job on my hair & makeup for my wedding! She put a full set of extensions in my hair & then styled it. I absolutely loved my airbrushed makeup! I would highly reccomend her for any special event that you want to look fabulous for!!

Shelby has been doing my makeup for years. I got many compliments on my makeup for my wedding. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. I recommend her for any wedding or any gatherings she will do exactly what you want and she will not let you down.

Shelby was awesome. From the first email she understood exactly what I wanted for both my hair and makeup. She emailed me pictures of ideas for my wedding day and it was exactly what I was looking for. The day of my wedding she was very professional, arrived on time, and had us already to go by the time we needed to leave. I would highly recommend shelby, both me and all of my bridesmaids lobed our looks and the makeup lasted all day.

Shelby has done such an amazing job on my hair and makeup for weddings and formal occasions I have attended. She has always done it just the way I describe and it comes out even better than that.
