Makeup for a wedding party of 7!

Shasta provided makeup services for myself on my wedding day, my four bridesmaids, and two mothers. I will always recommend her to anyone needed professional makeup!! She did amazing with each girl, creating their inspo pictures while matching skin tones and working with diffrent looks. She brought everything we needed. everyone got a small bag after their session that included a lip kit and touch up items. After everyone was done in the chair one or two girls who had received her services asked for a little touch up, and Shasta even gave my mother an eyebrow tutorial at the end of all her services too!

I recommend a trial session for anyone hiring any makeup professional. Shasta did wonderful during my trial, asking in depth questions, showing and explaining everything she was doing. It felt great to be in a relaxing space and to be comfortable to ask questions and change the look how I wanted. Knowing before the big wedding day that I had the best artist for me and group was one less thing to stress about, I highly recommend Shata Hankins makeup and thank her times a million for making me and my girls feel beautiful! ❤️

Beautiful Work

Shasta was fantastic, I am 52, my mother is in her 80's and my bridesmaids are in their 20's. She knew exactly what was needed with different skin/age types. She was professional and I wasn't worried for even a moment even while planning a wedding during a pandemic. We all looked beautiful. Thank you, Shasta.

100% Amazing

I booked Shasta pre-Covid, and when we had to reschedule our wedding (twice), she was so flexible and kind. Throughout my entire wedding planning experience, Shasta was professional, knowledgeable, and so organized. On our trial run and during makeup for our actual wedding, Shasta was very careful about wearing her mask and keeping her workspace clean. I felt so safe and comfortable with her. 100% recommend her for your airbrush makeup needs, I will definitely be re-booking her for when we have a big reception next year.

Amazing Experience

Shasta made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. She listened to me about what I wanted while also taking into account my normal routine, hair, dress, and comfortability with makeup. My wedding makeup was picture perfect and looked beautiful.

Amazing make up, amazing artist!

Shasta is so wonderful. She did my make up for both my engagement pictures and my wedding. She also did my sister's and mother-in-law's make up. She did an awesome job! It stayed on the entire day, looked flawless, and photographed perfectly. She is also so personable, kind, and sweet. You'll leave there feeling like she's your new friend! I told her about my worry that I wouldn't have lavender in bloom in time for my wedding and she picked some she found and brought it to me. HOW NICE IS THAT?! Absolutely recommend her! :)

Awesome August wedding makeup

The day was perfect! Shasta came to my hotel room and set up and had me in the makeup chair as quick as possible. We had a great time as the process went along and I was able to relax and really enjoy the start to my transformation into the vision I had for my wedding day! Eveything was just how I wanted and Shasta made sure I had supplies to get through the day...extra lip stick, tissues, q-tips etc. The makeup was beautiful and lasted the whole day...even through the happy tears and all! Highly recommend Shasta Hankins Freelance Makeup!

Shasta is my go to makeup artist. She is incredibly professional and absolutely on top of her makeup game. She is a master at application, ensures her products are fresh and maintained, and goes above and beyond to ensure her clients are 100% satisfied before they leave. I have worked with her multiple times and am very picky about my look - she has nailed it every time and has made me feel like a queen! She is the number one artist in Spokane!!

Shasta is the best! She's so easy to work with and the quality of her work is wonderful. My makeup stayed put all day (from 11:00 am until midnight) despite outdoor photos, dancing, and many happy tears. She was also very flexible in her scheduling and came to our wedding venue on the day of to do my makeup. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Shasta was a dream come true. My original makeup artist canceled at the last minute so we were scrambling 2 weeks before the wedding to find someone who could help us. Shasta to the rescue! She was so understanding of my situation and was able to move quickly to make sure we had everything arranged in such a short amount of time. She is extremely professional, responsive and definitely knows what she's doing. She arrived on Saturday with all of her own gear (including a table and chair) and was able to get through 6 bridesmaids and myself with time to spare. Also, did I mention we looked AMAZING?! We didn't have time for a trial run, but it all turned out perfectly. The makeup was exactly what each of us wanted -- natural, beautiful and flawless! She also took the time to airbrush a pesky blemish on my back so I would look perfect on my wedding day. Her pricing is very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend Shasta to ANYONE who is looking for a rockstar makeup artist for a wedding or any important occasion.

She is truly the best makeup artist around! I woke up the morning of my wedding with all sorts of acne (probably from stress) and needless to say, I was freaking out a little. She made it completely disappear with her makeup magic! My photos turned out gorgeous and my makeup lasted all day long, even in the heat of a July wedding. I never wanted to take it off! LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!

Shasta was very professional, she responded to my phone calls and texts immediately. She sent me updated invoices after I paid my deposit and final payment. Four days prior to my appointment she sent me a final invoice and timeline for our appointment. On the day of my sister's wedding she was on-time, she set all of her equipment up and was applying makeup to the bridesmaids within fifteen minutes. She finished applying makeup to all three in the bridal party on-time and packed her supplies up in less than ten minutes. Having Shasta do our makeup was very relaxing and she made all of us feel pampered and beautiful. My youngest sister, the bride, had nothing but compliments on how gorgeous she was and my husband couldn't get over how beautiful I looked. My sister got married in an outside wedding on a 95 degree day in Spokane and Shasta's eye makeup and fake lashes lasted all day and the airbrushing did not melt off. I would definitely use Shasta's services again and would recommend her to anyone wanting to look fabulous and have 5 star customer service.

Shasta was absolutely wonderful to work with. I'm a huge make up lover and I knew that I was going to need someone that I trusted to do my make up for my wedding. I met with Shasta and instantly felt like I was in good hands. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her business. I showed her some pictures from my Pinterest page and we discussed the pros and cons of each look and were all prepared for our trial run. I loved how the trial run turned out and I just asked that she tweak a couple of things for the big day which she was more than happy to do. The day of the wedding she was there to get me and my bridesmaids ready to go. She did air brush make up and it turned out beautifully. She did exactly what I was looking for and more. I appreciated her help, kindness, and professionalism on such a big day.

Shasta did my makeup for my wedding. I absolutely loved her from my initial consult! She is so amazing at what she does, and my makeup on my wedding day was absolutely flawless. During my trial, I was able to show her photos of the different makeup styles I had in mind, and she put them all together beautifully and my makeup was exactly how I pictured it. My makeup lasted all day through tears and dancing! She even sent me with a touch up kit for photos so I looked like it was just applied all night long. Shasta is wonderful to work with and her results speak for themselves, I highly recommend her!

Shasta did my airbrush makeup for my engagement photos. I gave her minimal input with the exception of a few Pinterest pictures and she did an amazing job! She made me feel very comfortable and was quick and efficient. I literally wish I could have airbrushing everyday. The makeup was perfect for my pictures 7 hours later and I thought she was very reasonable! She even worked with me on my day and times in case the weather didn't cooperate. Before leaving she gave me a straw and a little touch up kit so I could keep my look fresh. I would recommend her to everyone locally!

Shasta did the makeup for my wedding at the Hagadone Event Center. I felt extremely comfortable with her and the plan after my initial trial. She traveled to Coeur d'Alene to do my makeup. Shasta was wonderful to work with! Really took time in learning about my style and make-up preferences and making sure we catered my wedding day look to fit me! She took very detailed notes at our trial so on my wedding day several months later, she did not have to ask me any questions and I could just sit back and enjoy the pampering! Her eyelashes are the only ones I've ever worn that did not budge!
Shasta did make-up for my grandma, mum and some of the bridesmaids and everyone looked and felt fantastic!

Shasta and her colleague were amazing! They were flexible with time and quickly took care of my six person bridal party. The hair salon where my hair was being done let Shasta and her colleague set up shop. It was very nice to find someone that would come to us. I'm not a "make-up" person. I was worried about feeling cakey but I didn't even notice the make-up. While we visited they gave us some cool make-up tips and hair ideas, a very cool unexpected bonus. I still get compliments on how much she opened up my eyes. I enjoyed the experience. I would book her again if I could, no questions asked!

Shasta was very accommodating and great to work with! After my makeup trial, I did not like how the airbrush makeup was sitting on my skin, so we made some adjustments the day of my wedding and it turned out great.

I highly recommend Shasta for your wedding makeup needs! My face stayed flawless all day long, which is important with all the attention you receive on your wedding day!

Shasta is awesome! She did all my bridesmaids make up, mine, and the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. She is great at getting whatever look it is you are going for, whether it is dramatic or more of a natural look. So many people commented on how great everyone's make up looked and we all felt that it was light weight and lasted well, yet covered any blemishes we wanted covered. I would strongly recommend her because she is reliable, competitively priced, and does a GREAT job! We were all completely satisfied with her work and it was great that she was able to travel to our location more than an hour from Spokane!

Shasta is an outstanding makeup artist. I had the best luck to hire her for my wedding in June and was THRILLED with how gorgeous I felt! This being said from thee pickiest bride on the planet, both my trial (on the day of my engagement session) and my wedding day makeup were flawless. Shasta is extremely talented and made my wedding day so wonderful! She applied my makeup along with my mom and several bridesmaids and we were all thrilled with the results- the makeup looked great in person and in the pictures! Since my wedding, I've had her do my makeup for some fundraising events and even had her do a makeup class for me and a friend. She's very professional and always makes me look great. Shasta is AMAZING!!! Shasta did my engagement and bridal makeup as well as my 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and a couple of family members. I had pictures done hours before the wedding so Shasta was there to touch up my makeup right before the ceremony and after the ceremony for more pictures. I'm so happy she was there for me. Everyone looked so gorgeous! Shasta is so friendly, personable, and just really enjoyable to be around.

I am so thankful I found Shasta and that she was able to take part in making the day so special for all of us. I would highly recommend Shasta!!

Shasta was absolutely amazing. She came out to my parents house where we were getting ready so that we did not have to go anywhere. She timed herself on the run through we did before the wedding so she knew what time she needed to show up and we had plenty of time to get the make-up done. She did an amazing job! I wish I could give Shasta 10 stars! She met me at a Starbucks close to my home for our initial evaluation, and from the moment I met her, I knew she was my only option for my wedding day. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, and she listed to me, and she had a way to help me say what I wanted without telling me what she thought I should do. She suggested I find pictures of the look I wanted, and she was honest and thoughtful when she thought they might be just a bit too much. She came to my home and gave me a trial run on my wedding day make-up, and I was absolutely THRILLED with the outcome! She came to me each time, her fees were incredibly reasonable, she did my mom's and my daughter's make-up for a very small additional fee, and I never felt more beautiful in my entire life!

I asked many people if I should spend the money on make-up because we were on a very tight budget, and most people said that it was a must. I am SO thankful that I found Shasta and she was able to be a part of my special day. To be honest, her unbelievable talent made me feel better about myself, and that's the best gift I could have given myself on my wedding day. Ladies, if you are considering a make-up artist, I whole-heartedly recommend Shasta for your special day.

Shasta made me look like a million bucks for my wedding! I felt like a princess once she was done with my makeup, it was a complete transformation!

She really took the time to get to know me, and find out my likes and dislikes. She made sure I understood everything along the way, and made sure I was happy with each element. She uses quality products, so I didn't have to worry about my allergies.

She is very caring and professional, and I plan to use her again when I have photos taken for other life events. If you need someone who will do a good job, and can recreate the exact same look from the trial one to the day of, this is the person you want to call!

Shasta was THE BEST CHOICE for my wedding! I had an opportunity to have Shasta do my makeup for my friends wedding, because she was the primary Makeup Artist. However, I didn't take it at the time because I am very particular about how my makeup looks. I was amazed at her work and was quite upset with myself that I didn't have her do it, because the other girls looked so good. So naturally when it came to my wedding she was the first one I called!! I took her about 6 different photos of ideas of what I wanted and she pulled the best aspects of all of them together!! It looked flawless and lasted through the whole night including having cake smeared all over my face during the cake cutting!! I was very pleased with how professional she was and the advice she gave me about the different looks we could go with and also how they would look photographed. I highly recommend Shasta for professional makeup. She did a fantastic job on my bridesmaids and me. She started off by meeting me and my maid of honor for a consultation. I know nothing about makeup, but Shasta made me feel comfortable and I felt she really listened to my concerns, questions, and requests. After signing the contract for her services, she met me at my convenience at my parents' house for a trial run with the makeup we would be using for the wedding. Shasta had written down my preferences at our consultation, so we already had a plan. She tried a few variations on me, tested out a couple looks, and let me keep the makeup on for the remainder of the day so I could see how well it lasted throughout the afternoon and evening. Turned out great and lasted until I took it off before going to bed. On my wedding day, she did full makeup for my four bridesmaids, myself, and also did a little on my mom. She even covered up a little scratch on my flower girl's face! She also covered up a few blemishes on my soon-to-be husband's face. Shasta really went above and beyond. She arrived early, stayed late, was an excellent problem-solver, and a great listener. She created a unique look for each of my bridesmaids that was to their liking and personal style. A few days after the wedding, just before I was leaving for my honeymoon, I contacted Shasta, desperate for makeup advice for our trip (like I said, I know nothing about makeup!). She got back to me quickly and made some recommendations for products and colors that would work well with my complexion and personal taste. I really cannot say enough positive things about Shasta; she did a phenomenal job, I highly recommend her services, and if I ever need professional makeup done again, I will definitely be going back to Shasta!

Shasta provided the most amazing service for my wedding. She was there bright and early at 6 am so that we could get everything done. Shasta was so awesome to work with. I had seen her work on line and booked her many months in advance of my wedding because I didn't want to miss the chance of having her do my makeup. She was great at understanding the look I was going for and making it happen. Any little thing I wanted to change - intensity of color, more concealer, etc - she was totally on board with, yet also offered suggestions she thought would look good on me. At the age of 46, I've worn makeup for a very long time and yet I picked up some tricks from Shasta that I'm still using. She has a personality that is so endearing - who wants to entrust something as important as their wedding day makeup to someone that isn't wonderful to be around ?! She worked with my schedule and best of all came to me for both the trial run and on my wedding day. I have acne scarred skin, she told me that she would not be able to completely cover my scars but she would try her best. The day of the wedding my skin had NEVER looked better! Shasta Hankins was great to work with. She was very flexible and the make-up looked great and held up throughout the entire wedding day. The day of the wedding she came to my apartment, which really reduced the stress that I was feeling that day.

Some make-up artists do not take into account the wishes of the bride, and Shasta was not like that at all. She was very open to my suggestions and made the changes that I suggested between the trial run and the wedding day.

I LOVED worked with Shasta! She was super flexible, very professional, and does absolutely amazing work. I used her services for my wedding reception and when I look back at the photos, I am so happy with how everything looked! As part of the bridal service, she provided a trial run for the makeup which we timed to do with our engagement photo shoot. I got so many compliments when people looked at the photos. When people are trying to spend more wisely, especially with wedding planning, I would have to say that hiring someone to do your makeup is DEFINITELY worth the money- way less stress and one less thing to worry about on your big day. I would highly recommend Shasta to anyone considering getting a makeup artist for their wedding or any other big event!!

Shasta was so sweet and caring. She is very passionate about her work and she supplied the highest quality of service. Her work was flawless! The price for our bridesmaids was so affordable. The bride price was worth every penny. Shasta was so flexible when it came to traveling to the site for the run through and the big day. I would recommend Shasta to every bride I talk to!

Shasta was great! She listened to me and did an amazing job. She was very professional and made appointments with me, to meet, and complete a full run through. She came on the day of my wedding 8/28/10 early to set up and I looked flawless. She had notes from the run through and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend her to everyone. Her prices were very reasonable, in fact I would have paid more. She always called me back if I left a message and she was very organized. This is the makeup artist you will want to have the day of your wedding. Trust me!

Shasta was awesome! She was extremely organized and professional. She arrived on time, responded to every email and phone call quickly and provided top notch customer service. She even helped me find a hair stylist. I loved that she came to my house for both the trial run makeup session and on my wedding day. My makeup turned out wonderful and lasted all day! I would recommend Shasta without hesitation. She did a wonderful job and was great to work with...exactly what you want on your wedding day!

Shasta was such a pleasure to work with! She was incredibly professional, flexible, and understanding when it came to my make-up needs for my wedding. Shasta knew exactly what to recommend to me to accomplish the look that I was hoping to achieve. She's friendly, humble, down to earth and so easy to talk to! A week after my wedding I even received a hand-written thank you note..you don't get that kind of respect from all of your vendors. I will definitely recommend her to any friends getting married in the future!

Shasta is wonderful to work with. She cost me about half of what most makeup artists cost. And she does a better job. She took her time listening to me and what I wanted for my special day. I have had makeup done by artists before, and it didn't look as good. Shasta is very professional, funny, and easy to relate to. She came to my wedding site, she gave me a preview at my house. I would recommend her to anyone! On my wedding day, it was hot and I was actually sweating at one point of the day, my makeup stayed perfect through it and my pictures prove it! I am so glad I found her for my special day. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Shasta provided services for my wedding on 10-18-08 and did a wonderful job! She did a pre-wedding consultation to help me determine the best look for my day and provided services for me and most of my bridal party on the day of our wedding. My makeup was flawless, lasted all day and night and i never once had to go "check" my makeup because i knew i didn't have to worry about it! Shasta is very professional and I would recommend her to anyone I know getting married.

Shasta Hankins was the makeup artist I used for my wedding on 3/28/2010. She was so friendly and professional throughout the whole experience. She took the time to do a detailed consultation, in addition to a full run through. She had to travel a couple of hours to our wedding locale and she was there early and fully prepared! The makeup was flawless and it stayed on all day. She was very respectful of what my preferences were while at the same time balancing her knowledge to make sure the end result was totally my style, but flawless. She was very cognizant of how to make the makeup look the best for the photography as well and had tons of wedding experience to draw from. I have never had so many compliments in my whole life! I would highly recommend her to anyone I know. One of my best vendor decisions. Thanks Shasta!!

I was referred to Shasta from a friend. After reading every review for nearly every make up artist in Spokane I had all the confidence that Shasta was who I was looking for. I was extremely lucky that she was available on my wedding weekend. Her prices are fare, including a full trial run before hand. She was accommodating by making time for to do my mom and grandmother's make up. Shasta was a blast to be around as well. She was very easy going and down to earth. Most important, she made me look like, "the best me I can be", this she told me is her goal for brides. I will be recommending her to anyone looking for a true make up artist.

Shasta was a great choice for me and my bridesmaids. She met with me before hand to discuss my style and preferences, then trialed the plan we devised so I knew actually how it would look and feel on the big day. I loved my make-up, I looked glamorous while maintaining my natural beauty--the best part was it lasted the whole day and night, even through the tears of happiness. She did a phonominal job with my mother's and bridesmaids as well. She made everyone feel and look stunning. I'm so glad I chose her, I have recommended her to my friends already and I will continue to do so.

Originally I was going to go with the Makeup Studio. The problem was, they were just too dang pricey. I took a chance and found Shasta. I was nervous to go with someone else... oh boy, I'm glad I did. Shasta comes to your house, she's totally flexible, sweet as a button! And she did such a fabulous job on my makeup, I'm still hearing about how great I looked two months after my wedding. Don't hesitate to book her. Fabulous work!

I feel like I am beating a dead horse here with all of Shasta's great reviews, but I do want to add my own. Shasta is great. She is professional and sweet, does great work, and is much more affordable than a lot of the other artists. She is willing to travel to you, making it that much more convenient when you and 8 other women are trying to get ready for the big day. She really went above my expectations in ensuring that I was happy with her work after the trial run, and in how thorough she was. The only thing I would suggest is to book your date, and your trial run early. Shasta is in high demand (because she's so awesome), and works other jobs besides the makeup business, so her schedule is pretty full.

Shasta is great! She really listens to what you want and gave me great advice regarding how to "prep" my face leading up to the wedding. She is really down to earth, but is very professional at the same time. I've already recommended her!

Shasta did such a great job on both my engagement and wedding makeup! I felt so beautiful and the makeup looked great in all of the pictures! I almost paid double what Shasta charged to have my makeup done at a studio - good thing someone recommended her to me! She charged way less and actually came to my venue on my big day which eliminated a lot of stress. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of professional makeup!
