I met Shanoah several years ago through our mutual love of a particular musician. As is typically the case, I started following my new concert friend on social media and discovered her awesome talent for photography. I loved her work so much that, as a perpetually single (and happy about it) person, I once commented on a photo of hers that, “I’m never getting married, but if I ever do I want you to be my photographer. You just capture the love between your couples in your photos.” It was a true statement then, and it’s still true to this day. I don’t know how she does it, but she manages photograph and exhibit the love between her subjects. She doesn’t just do it with couples either; parents and their kids, and friends too. Just take a look at our bridal party preview photo she sent me the night of our wedding and you can see it on full display.
Cut to a few years later, I met the man who would turn my world upside down in the best way and suddenly, I was engaged. And what do you know, there was a concert coming up that Shanoah and I were going to be at so we made a plan to do our engagement shoot before the show in a town neither of us were familiar with. Due to the timing of the concert, we had to have a quick session, but she still did her thing and took amazing photos all the same. Where she really knocked it out of the park though was at our wedding.
Shanoah came and took pics of all of us getting ready. We built in time so she could also do pre-ceremony photos of both sides since we weren’t doing a first look. Long story as short as possible…the venue coordinator had known the timing for our ceremony (an hour before sunset) for almost 2 years. She comes to me about an hour before the ceremony and says that due to timing of the ceremony and the sunset, she did not think we would be able to make it to the scenic bridge on their property for photos because it takes 20 minutes to get there and back. Shanoah said it was up to me, but she was fully confident in her ability to shoot fast and get what we needed with everyone all together before my groom and I headed off to the bridge. Venue coordinator pushed back, and me being non-confrontational (even on my wedding day) didn’t want to stir the pot. Shanoah stepped in and advocated for me saying, “She wants the bridge, she’s just trying to be nice.” So we made it happen. BTW, it took about 2 minutes to get to the bridge! We had so much time after shooting there, that we took some more photos elsewhere, and still had about 25 minutes for us to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests.
Finally, I will just add some of what others have said to me about Shanoah from the wedding night and on social media from the sneak peak pics.

I cannot say enough good things about Shannoah and her photography skills. Her photos speak for themselves and you can just tell she loves what she does. My now husband and I found Shannoah at a wedding expo and fell in love with her photos. It also happens that she is our best mans sister. Shannoah is so fun, easy going, professional, made the entire wedding party laugh, and got the most amazing shots. She worked so well with our flower girl who is usually shy by nature. She even works well with dogs. I would definitely hire her again for any more photo needs. -

Shanoah isn't just a great photographer, she is an incredible resource and, by the end of the process, a friend. Just an incredible person, incredible value. The pictures are flat out incredible. She shot everything that we could have wanted and captured our day. Can't say enough - clients for life. -

User1846931 Sent on 10/05/2014I loved this photographer! She did photos before the wedding while I got ready, the ceremony, and the reception. It rained the day of my wedding, she was able to get creative and get some amazing photos of my husband and myself with not the standard inside backdrop. She was able to get all angles and aspects of the ceremony (in a big catholic church). She did not miss a thing.
