Perfect Outdoor Rustic Wedding Venue
If you’re looking for the perfect outdoor wedding venue with a rustic-feel, look no more. Shady Wagon Farms was the perfect venue for our beautiful wedding. Monica was a rockstar and helped make our wedding day truly amazing. Although the weather did not cooperate, the beautifully decorated pavilion made for a perfect Plan B location for our ceremony, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Shady Wagon Farms is truly a hidden gem and so grateful we found the most beautiful outdoor wedding venue for our special day. -

Beautiful Property Creates our Perfect Day
From the first minute we showed up to the wedding venue the staff were on it! The Property looked amazing. There were so many places for us to take photos as we roamed the property. It looked like it was going to rain so our Wedding Day of Coordinator was ready to move us to the covered pavilion. Lucky for us it was clear and we had the most amazing day. I have been to a lot of wedding venues in the Raleigh area and I must say that this is the Best Wedding Venue near Raleigh. Highly Recommend -

I have so many positive things that I could write in this review regarding our special day here. First of all, the venue is beyond beautiful and comes with deep values that we aligned closely with. The price was extremely fair and it included just about everything we needed in regards to decorations. We worked with Monica (and her husband) and she was beyond insightful and helpful. My now husband and I were planning and paying for our wedding ourselves and were a bit clueless when it comes down to what we needed done. She helped us plan things we didn’t think of, and even helped us find some of our vendors. She knows what is needed for a wedding to run smoothly and is there every step of the way! We would 100% do this all over again and recommend to any couple!!! -

Our experience with Monica and Paul at the Shady Wagon Farm was so incredible. We got so lucky that they had an opening (grabbed one of the last 3 spots) in 2021 as there were so many reschedules. They made everything so painless and stress free.
It was affordable and, more than anything, just the perfect venue for us.
Monica really knew her stuff and helped with every aspect of the night by helping us piece together our style, the timeline, and even helped set it all up the day of (big help)!!
The venue was so gorgeous for our wedding day. Perfect weather (thank you, Lord!), well kept land/facility (thank you, Paul), and a smooth order of events (thank you, Monica)!!! -

Our day could not have been better be at Shady Wagon! Monica, the venue manager, was so accommodating and everything went perfectly. The venue is so beautiful and requires very little extra decor. We love the rustic/country vibe!
They are super professional and had everything set up for us perfectly. The property has the best spots for photos and we could not have been happier. -

Shady Wagon Farm made everything about my wedding day something to remember. The staff was professional and friendly. The owner, Cindy, and her whole family own and operate it. Everyone there is passionate and treats it like their baby. I am so incredibly grateful for everything that came from Shady Wagon Farm. If you are questioning your venue, SWF is, without a doubt, the place to choose! It was everything I wanted in my dream venue and then some. The only thing I wish I could change was the weather. It started to DOWNPOUR thirty minutes before the ceremony was due to start. (This is out of everyone’s control) But they were so professional and quickly and efficiently reset everything up and moved the guests to have the ceremony under the pavilion behind the barn. Choose Shady Wagon Farm. I promise, you will NOT regret it. -

Working with Shady Wagon was a great experience. We felt like we were with family from our first tour. The whole Shady Wagon family went out of their way to make our day perfect and were super flexible with times for our rehearsal and dropping off things. Our guests kept commenting on how gorgeous the farm was, and it was the perfect backdrop for all our pictures. I would highly recommend Shady Wagon! -

Perfect location
This was the most amazing location for our wedding! Doug and Cindy keep the venue looking picture perfect. Cindy was so sweet and worked with us throughout the entire process. Although it rained and we couldn’t have our wedding out by the pond as initially planned- our wedding under the pavilion was more beautiful than I can ask for. Their location allows for the bridal parties to get ready on site which was so convenient. At night, the property looked like out of a movie with lights strung on every structure. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a rustic country themed wedding or event! Thank you Cindy and Doug for providing us with the most stunning venue our guests are still drooling over! -Brent and Samantha -

We are so pleased and blessed that we were able to have both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at Shady Wagon Farm! We received TONS of compliments about how gorgeous the venue was and how it was the perfect elegant Farm feel! We could not agree with all the compliments more. we were amazed by the fantastic customer service that was provided by every member of the Shady Wagon Farm staff throughout the entire wedding planning process! They catered to every single wish we had and made our dreams a reality. We LOVE Shady Wagon and would recommend them for any type of event! -

This venue was everything my Wife and I wanted and more. Although this venue is no longer available due to unforeseen circumstances, I am so grateful that I got to have the pleasure and opportunity to have my wedding here. I honestly can say that I could not picture it being anywhere else, and it is a shame that is not available to other couples. -

I had my wedding at Shady Wagon and absolutely loved it. You could not ask for a more beautiful venue! The pond-side ceremony site is gorgeous but the covered patio behind the barn is a beautiful alternative option if the weather isn't on your side! I loved the fact that they had a backup plan if it did rain. It gave this bride a lot of peace of mind. The bridal and groom suites are also a nice touch for your whole party and makes the wedding day run smoother. I really enjoyed the simplicity of having my whole wedding day on site and not having to move from location to location. Monica and her husband were both a joy to work with. They were both so patient and very flexible with any requests they had. I did have a bit of trouble early on getting responses from the team at Shady Wagon but as my wedding day approached they were much more responsive. I would highly recommend this venue! -

Hiring Shady Wagon Farm as our was the easiest decision we made while planning our wedding. They provide chairs, tables and even some decor which was a huge cost saving for us. We also booked the day-of coordinator Monica and she was an absolute life saver. She had several meetings with us to ensure everything would be as we pictured it, made sure everything was set-up perfectly, and kept us surprisingly ahead of schedule so we actually got to enjoy cocktail hour! Do yourself the favor and go visit Cindy and Shady Wagon Farm, she is a beautiful soul who makes the venue what it is. We cannot thank them enough for making our day absolutely perfect. -

Katy Sent on 07/17/2012My husband and I looked a multiple places to have our wedding ceremony and/or reception. We some how stumbled across Shady Wagon Farm and decided to go have a look. The second we were on the property I knew that this was the place we would have our wedding. It was perfect. We had been to a couple of weddings where they were outdoors and you could hear the road traffic, you don't have that problem at SWF. The entire property was gorgeous. Right then and there we called our parents and told them to meet us there, within the month we were booked for the 23rd of June. When wedding day came along, I couldn't have been more pleased. Everything was perfect and just as I wanted. We had simple decorations at the ceremony site because the venue was already gorgeous enough. We set up corn hole boards by our reception for friends and family to have a game or two (which was a hit). Our pictures are gorgeous thanks to this beautiful site! We loved it and could not have picked a better spot to get married! Thanks Cindy & Shady Wagon Farm! -

User920467 Sent on 09/03/2012If we were going to be crazy enough to have an outdoor wedding in August, Shady Wagon Farm was the place for it! What a beautiful venue. We got ready for the wedding in the bridal suite and in the man cave which gave everybody a space to relax in AC before the wedding. The weather couldn't have been better for August. It was warm, but the sun setting on the ceremony was beautiful and the water and the barn were the best background. The barn was a bit hot during the reception, but it is so hard to get the ideal air flow with so many people. The most difficult part of the planning process was that it is very difficult to get a hold of Cindy who owns this venue. She does not return voice messages, so just keep calling and e mailing. Despite this, Cindy did coordinate with our caterer and coordinator since they do business together often, which was VERY convenient for us! I would recommend this venue to others.
