I cannot recommend Andrea and Shades of Blush enough! From the very beginning, she was professional, kind, and incredibly responsive (and flexible with last minute questions/concerns). Andrea made the entire process so smooth and stress-free, which is exactly what every bride hopes for. Not only did my airbrush makeup turn out beautifully, but it lasted perfectly all day and night without a single touch-up in the humid, June heat and sweat! Andrea perfected the "natural" look!
Andrea is incredible and would recommend 100 times over for your wedding day or any special occasion! When researching for someone to do my makeup, I wanted someone that would understand the natural look that I wanted. I do not wear makeup in my everyday life and I have been in many other weddings as a bridesmaid where I had way too much makeup on and did not feel comfortable. But once I found Andrea, I knew she was the one!! From her instagram I could tell that she had a “natural” touch that would make me feel and look like my authentic self. At my trial she took her time and made sure I felt comfortable. On my wedding day, I had zero stress that my makeup would be anything but perfect and it was! It was so comforting to know that Andrea was there on that day and knew that I did not have to worry about anything regarding makeup.

Incredibly talented, natural glam
Andrea and Kara are an absolute dream team. These two women are both so warm, naturally talented and extremely accommodating. I hired Shades of Blush for my wedding on 9/6/21 which was Labor Day. Despite the holiday and craziness of the pandemic, Andrea was extremely responsive throughout all of our communication and incredibly organized making is so much less stressful on me the morning of the wedding. Kara ended up doing my bridal makeup and the two of them split the rest of my bridesmaids and MOB/MOG. They made each woman look beautiful but not overdone. They truly both apply makeup in a way that highlights someone's natural beauty, adds a bit of glam while still being able to recognize yourself in the mirror. Not only are they the best of the best in the beauty field, Andrea and Kara are kind, friendly and lovely to be around. Although the wedding morning can be hectic, especially for a bride, their presence just brought so much peace and comfort as we glided through the getting ready stage. Could not recommend Shades of Blush enough.

Wow wow wow! Andrea and Kara of Shades of Blush studios are absolutely incredible! They are so Kind and genuine. I was lucky enough to work with them as a bridesmaid for a friends wedding a few years prior and knew when I got married I had to have them!
From start to finish Andrea made me feel comfortable and truly listened to the vision I had for myself on my wedding day. During my trial she took the time to work through my look and truly paid attention to every little detail. My now husband always told me he wanted me to look like me and not be too glam. Andrea ensured me that she would keep me “natural” while enhancing and glamming. She wanted to make sure I felt myself and beautiful and she definitely delivered!
On wedding day, Kara and Andrea truly took the time to make sure my whole bridal party got the look they wanted and felt beautiful. Having them spend wedding morning with us felt like having 2 additional people I’ve known forever there to share in my special day, they made me feel so comfortable.
Andrea took the time to organize the whole morning along side my hair stylist to ensure I had nothing to worry about. The whole process truly was stress free. I am so grateful to have worked with them and hope to work with them again soon!

Finding Andrea through Instagram, I knew I would love her work right away. I was not only a bride planning from out of state, but also during COVID times. She was extremely flexible with my date changes. I even booked her twice! Andrea’s work had my sisters and I glowing the whole day. Her work allows for ladies to feel natural in their skin while looking fabulous. She considered what everyone envisioned and nailed it. Andrea + Kara were the dream team for my wedding day. They were prompt and even ahead of schedule for the day. They are a GOOD time. They made each of us feel beautiful. I had multiple of my girls tell me how great Shades of Blush made them feel about themselves. The mother of bride and groom, who both aren’t used to much makeup, were so pleased at how natural but enhanced their makeup looks were. I can’t say enough positive things about Andrea and her team. She was so kind and patient as I tweaked my wedding day make up look - she made sure I felt my absolutely best and made my vision come to life. All of my bridesmaids looked amazing and my friends and family couldn’t stop talking about how great my make up looked! Andrea knows how to not only being out natural beauty in her clients but make them comfortable enough to show their inner beauty. I could not recommend Andrea enough! Her makeup not only lasted me the whole day (through lots of tears), but it also looked so natural which was super important to me. I have had difficulty with makeup artists in the past caking makeup on my face and not looking like myself. Andrea does not do this and really listened and trialed multiple things until I looked exactly the way I was envisioning. She even covered a scar on my groom’s face at the last minute and is so sweet and personable. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

I highly recommend Shades of Blush for your bridal makeup. Andrea is so sweet and really listens to your vision for your wedding day look. She really took her time during my trial session and made me feel so comfortable. She took notes after my trial so she wasted no time on the morning of my wedding. Andrea and Kara are both so talented and make such a great team. They were on time, organized, cleanly and so easy/fun to work with. Andrea (and Kara) were absolutely amazing! Every time I've had my makeup professionally done, I've felt like a clown. Andrea knew how to make me look (and feel) absolutely stunning. I am definitely picky when it comes to hair and makeup, and Andrea and her team exceeded my (and my bridesmaids) expectations!

Andrea did our makeup for my daughters wedding. She travelled to our home arriving promptly early morning and worked with all the bridesmaids and myself (mother of the bride) to make us look beautiful! Shades of Blush Studio was the perfect fit for my wedding day! Andrea went above and beyond to make sure all of the details were taken care of for my day. Andrea is extremely helpful. She responded quickly and answered all of my questions. She even helped me with other details for my wedding that did not relate to make-up! Kara is a member of the team who did my make-up. Kara was absolutely amazing! From the day of my trial to the morning of my wedding, Kara was sweet, friendly, and personable. She listened to exactly what I had imagined for my wedding. While getting ready, she created a relaxing and laid-back experience. It was an amazing experience to have Kara do my wedding make-up!

Andrea was absolutely amazing. She knew exactly the look I was going for. I was nervous about choosing a makeup artist because I have not been satisfied with my makeup in the past, but when Andrea did it I was absolutely obsessed. All my bridesmaids loved there makeup too! Andrea did an absolute stunning job for our wedding! She understood that I did not wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis and made sure to keep the makeup subtle, while highlighting my features and making me feel special. She took notes and made sure to accommodate to any suggestions I had, making me feel comfortable and assured on my wedding day. Andrea is sincere, kind, and calm, which is exactly what I needed on the day. I would recommend her over and over again!!

I had such an awesome experience working with Andrea from start to finish!! Andrea is so sweet and the kindest person you will meet! She truly is amazing at what she does and created the perfect wedding day makeup look I had been dreaming of! It lasted the whole day, even through all of my happy tears!! My whole wedding party agrees that Andrea and Kara went above and beyond to make everyone look and feel beautiful. We all had a fantastic morning getting ready with both of them and I am so thankful to have had them there for such an important day. Andrea and Kara are true professionals. An experience beyond my expectations
I cant even begin to put into words how amazing Shades of Blush is! Andrea is the kindest person and she put me at ease right away. I was very nervous to start looking into makeup artists for my wedding as I normally do not wear much make-up at all. I was drawn to Andrea's natural looking make-up style that seemed to enhance and accentuate ones beauty. Throughout the whole process Andrea was very organized and communication was quick and easy. I never knew that I could feel so beautiful...Andrea is truly amazing! I was also very impressed by the quality and longevity of her make-up application. My wedding was outside on a very humid 90 degree summer day and it looked good all the way through till the very end. You can not go wrong with Shades Of Blush!

Simply amazing
I don't even know where to begin. Andrea is just simply AMAZING. I truly loved my time spent with her as it felt like I have known her for years while she was doing my makeup. She is extremely personable and made me feel comfortable getting all dolled up! Not only did she make me feel comfortable, but my mom as well. My mom does not typically wear a lot of makeup so she was hesitate to get it done, but I told her how amazing Andrea was and she agreed. Immediately after finishing her make up, my mom understood exactly what I was talking about. She looked FANTASTIC. Andrea is extremely professional and is open and honest with her clients. She recommended that I get a second artist in order to make sure the day was stress free. While I was hesitant at first, I trusted her and she found a second artist for the day. Amanda joined Andrea and its safe to say that both ladies did phenomenal. All of my girls looked flawless. I can't thank Andrea enough for being a big part of our special day. I absolutely loved working with Andrea for my wedding makeup! I met her at a bridal show and instantly loved her! She has a true passion for what she does and it really shows! She was extremely responsive to all of my questions (even when my bridal party couldn’t decide between traditional and air brush makeup!). Andrea is so fun and amazingly talented! At my trial she did my makeup so beautifully, it was better than I could have imagined! The day of my wedding she again blew me away. She even traveled to my venue (and brought along a 2nd makeup artist since there was 10 of us getting our makeup done)! Her and the other artist made all of us look so beautiful. All our of looks were perfect and we all agreed that we had never felt more beautiful! I would recommend Andrea to everyone!

I honestly cannot even express how happy I was with Andrea's services! I was so thankful to have a trial-run of my make-up, she really listened to me and what I wanted (or thought I wanted) and walked with my through all of my indecisiveness until we found the perfect shades to compliment my skin tone, season, venue, etc. Andrea was 1110% professional on my wedding day and ended up doing makeup for almost all of my bridal party and my mother - and everyone LOVED their makeup. She was happy to listen to everyone and stay within their realm of comfort with their makeup. Andrea was bubbly and really helped us all keep up a happy atmosphere. Andrea was the sweetest human being I have ever encountered. I was floored. All the bridesmaids and my mother agreed. She was so creative that she even mixed together a lip shade to match my bouquet perfectly right on the spot. I got comments on how angelic I looked all night.. and how natural but beautiful I looked. She enhanced natural Beauty.. and I did NOT look cakey which I feared. The makeup lasted all day and by the next morning (too tired to shower) I looked the same way I had looked 7am the day before. I can't say enough amazing things about Andrea.. she also worked with my hair dresser whom she had never met prior perfectly as if they had worked together all their lives. And best of all.. the pictures came out amazing thanks to the makeup she did for me and my bridesmaids. You will not be disappointed. She also calmed me down so much before my big moment which is a blessing in its own and she was patient and kind and did not rush me even when my schedule fell behind. Andrea was an absolute gem to work with from beginning to end!
Her prompt and professional communication put me at ease as soon as I got in contact with her. She worked hard to create a hair and makeup schedule for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms, and was incredibly flexible when we needed to move things around (including changing the start time to earlier in the morning!). When my hair person fell through, she hooked me up with one of her contacts and even arranged my trial for both.
My makeup trial was held in her professional and welcoming home studio and once again put me at complete ease for the big day. She worked with me to create a custom look that included individual lashes and I left feeling ecstatic for my wedding day.
Finally on the day of, she arrived at my venue early and set up a fantastic makeup station right in my bridal suite. She stayed right on schedule which was a huge relief since we were right on time. Her positive energy put everyone at ease and each girl came away looking and feeling beautiful (including my mother who had never had makeup professionally done)!
I've had my makeup done several times before but I've never felt more beautiful or well-taken-care-of than on my wedding day, which is exactly how it should be! :)

Andrea and her assistant were incredible to work with! I wanted to look like myself and have natural makeup that enhanced my features for my wedding day, and based on her portfolio & Instagram, it seemed like that was Andrea's specialty! On our wedding day, Andrea & her assistant did the makeup looks for myself, my mother, and 4 of my bridesmaids. They arrived early in the morning and stayed on schedule, moving efficiently and giving each girl exactly the look they desired. All of our makeup lasted the entire day - even the false lashes! She also offers very fair pricing, and is such a joy to work with. You can tell she loves what she does! I would absolutely recommend Andrea for your event or wedding makeup.

Andrea is AMAZING!! She was so thorough with my trial, and made me feel gorgeous on my wedding day! My bridesmaids and mom also had their make up done, and she was even flexible to add in my flower girl when she decided she wanted a little eyeshadow :) Everyone looked so beautiful and I wish I could have Andrea do my makeup for every event! For anyone considering booking Andrea for their wedding, please look no further and book her now! Andrea was by far one of my favorite vendors to work with throughout the wedding planning process. I do not wear a lot of makeup day-to-day and was nervous about looking overdone for my wedding. Once I saw Andrea's natural style, I knew she was the makeup artist for me. Once I started talking to Andrea, I realized she not only has a strong passion for her job, but she truly enjoys hilighting your natural beauty. On my wedding day, Andrea did my makeup as well as my mom, sister, and mother-in-law. She carefully listened to each one of our requests and added in suggestions as she saw fit. My mom and I both enjoy how Andrea describes her application process step-by-step so we knew exactly what was going on. Andrea's friendly and cheerful personality was definitely a calming presence the morning of as well. After Andrea finished my makeup, I never felt more beautiful in my life and my makeup stayed on perfectly all night. I know the other women loved their looks as well. I am so thankful to have found Andrea as my makeup artist, and I am already looking for other excuses to book her for other events. I promise you will not find a more professional, friendly, skilled and attentive artist out there!

Andrea and her second makeup artist did the makeup for myself, the moms, and my 5 bridesmaids. From the moment I met Andrea, I knew she was going to be great! She worked with me to create the perfect bridal makeup, and was so accommodating with some last minute schedule changes that included adding another girl to her list. She was fun and easy to work with, so quick to communicate, and my makeup was amazing. I typically wear very little makeup, so I was nervous I would look overdone for my wedding, but Andrea kept everything natural as I requested and simply highlighted my features. I absolutely loved how everything turned out and it lasted all night! (Well over 12 hours!) Do not hesitate to reach out to Andrea, she is extremely talented and will take care of all your makeup needs. I hope to work with her again soon for a special occasion!

If you are searching for a makeup artist, I cannot express how much I recommend working with Andrea. She is of the utmost professionalism and her makeup looks are truly stunning. We had the pleasure of working with Andrea for my wedding and she did makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother. All of us were the most beautiful we have ever looked. I personally felt radiant and was complimented numerous times throughout the day on my makeup. It looked natural but played up my features. Andrea even went above and beyond to give our flower girls some light powder and blush so they felt included, which gave them such a special memory. Our makeup lasted throughout the July heat and even at the end of the night looked flawless. Andrea is such a kind individual and her results were so much more valuable to me than the price we paid. It was an exceptional value and a pleasure to spend the morning with her. You will not go wrong with working with her; I cannot praise her enough!

I am so happy I found Andrea for my wedding day! She is so professional and sweet, and allowed me to meet with her at her studio twice prior to the wedding to ensure that I was happy with the option I chose. She traveled to our hotel to complete my airbrush makeup, and 4 bridesmaid traditional makeup with time to spare. Everyone was so happy with their makeup and that it lasted through humid pictures and lots of dancing. I highly recommend her!

Andrea is a true artist! Coming from someone who just wears mascara on a daily basis, and that's only if I remember to put it on, I was nervous my makeup would make me not look like myself. Well I did not have to worry about that with Andrea! She made my makeup look flawless but it was natural looking and I still looked like me! She took her time on me and every single of my girls to make us look stunning. She listened to each and every one of us about what we liked and what we didn't and we were all so pleased with our looks. Not only is she good at what she does, but Andrea is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I would 100% use shades of blush again!!!

I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup, but our photos came out unbelievable, thanks to Andrea's work! Her prices were GREAT and I didn't feel like I was asking my bridesmaids to break the bank (which you know, everything gets expensive--this was NOT one of those things). Where do I even begin! The first time I met Andrea was when she did my trial make-up run. She explained to me that she is a make-up ARTIST not just a stylist. What that means is that she spends time, an hour or more, working with the bride to create the make-up look that you are aiming for. Andrea made me and my entire bridal party feel comfortable. She explains step-by-step what she is doing with the make-up so that we have a better understanding of what's being done.
Andrea made us all look incredibly stunning! I'm typically not a boastful person, but I have to admit I looked and felt like a model because of Andrea's make-up job. The best part about the turn out, I still looked like myself!!! I would recommend Andrea to anyone especially because she is the best at her job AND she is affordable!!!

Andrea was a joy to work with. Her upbeat personality was perfect for calming the day of stresses. She did a beautiful job with everyone’s makeup. I (along with all of my girls) received countless complements on our makeup. She knew how to highlight all of our best features while keeping our look natural. Andrea also made a wonderful recommendation for someone who could partner with her to take care of our hair in the hotel room.
