I loved having my wedding dress altered with Rose! She made me feel super comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable. She was also able to do my mom's dress and made it super special by letting us try on our dresses together at the final fitting. I loved how my dress turned out as did my mom. I cannot thank Rose enough for all she did and I would highly recommend for your alteration needs. -

Rose is so incredibly kind and patient with her brides. She did everything to make sure my gown was absolutely perfect for my wedding day. I was extremely nervous about beginning the alteration process, because I was not happy with how my dress initially fit after being shipped from the designer. But Rose's caring nature put me right at ease. She was meticulous in making sure every stitch, seam, and button was perfect on my gown, and everything was perfect and steamed for the day of the wedding. Rose has such a tender heart and truly loves her brides. She sent me on my way with a warm hug, some advice about marriage, and the best well wishes. I would recommend Rose her to anyone getting married! -

Rose was wonderful! First and foremost, she did an incredible job. I received so many compliments on the fit of my dress. She also delivered the dress in pristine condition just a few days before the wedding. Rose was also so helpful, providing day of suggestions and answering a myriad of random bride questions. She knew this was an exciting, vulnerable time for me and went above and beyond just fitting the dress, making sure I was comfortable and ready for the big day.

If you've purchased your dress and need an amazing seamstress, look no further! Rose was absolutely amazing to work with - not only is she extremely passionate about her work, she is genuine soul will a spunky personality! Rose did fittings for my wedding dress as well as my moms mother of the bride dress and we couldn't have been more thrilled with how they turned out! Rose is attentive, open to your thoughts and provides expertise feedback of how the dress should look/feel/lay. I am also not local to Rhode Island and Rose was more than willing work with my travel schedule - I am so thrilled my bridal salon, Spark, recommended Rose because it was truly a pleasure working with her. Thank you so much for making my dress perfect for the big day! -

I cannot say enough good things about Rose. I had the absolute best experiences with her from alterations for a bridesmaid dress to my actual wedding gown. I first went to Rose last year to do my fittings for my wedding. We made it through one before COVID hit. My husband and I decided to actually get married and Rose was more than accommodating. She made sure the dress fit me before my big day (part 1). We did take pictures outside so my dress had gotten a little dirty at the bottom. Rose was able to get that out for me and make it look brand new! She kept my dress safe over the next year and this year we were finally able to have our big day part 2! I know she was extremely busy due to brides having to reschedule from the previous year on top of brides that had already booked for 2021 but Rose made me feel so special and never rushed me. She is the most genuine, kind and thoughtful person I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Although I didn’t have to learn my own bustle, my best friend got married about a month before me and she also got her dress altered by Rose. When I went with her to learn her bustle Rose was patient and showed us exactly what we needed to do to bustle my friends dress. Rose is the best on absolutely every level and I would highly recommend her for any dress alterations you may need! -

Rose is phenominal. Not only is she very talented at what she does, she is extremely warm, genunine and makes you feel like you're the most special bride. She worked wonders on my dress but she also took the extra time to walk through the whole timeline of the wedding day and gave me pointers and suggestions. I got so much more out of the experience than just having my dress altered. Rose truly goes above and beyond, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. -

Rose was such a pleasure to work with! Even in the middle of her busy season, she made me feel like a priority during each of my appointments. My dress had an unusual train and she altered it so I wouldn't trip while keeping the overall look perfect. She altered my dress so I was able to dance freely without thinking twice about it, and she made me the most beautiful bustle! And she also coached me on how to sit and in the gown, which was something I hadn't given much thought to! I highly recommend Rose for all dress alterations. -

Rose is a true professional and so sweet. From the first visit to her space she made me feel special. My dress was so special to me and so unique, I couldn't just go anywhere. Rose was recommended to me by my wedding planner, shout out to Leila Ryan Events and I am so glad I went with her. She made me feel at ease everytime she had to make a cut or take it in, that it would still be the amazing dress, just fit better. She listened to me and really wanted to make it perfect. I brought along my best girlfriend to every fitting and she took the time to chat with her and make the process fun! She even let me come back an extra time, just to make sure it was as perfect as I wanted it to fit, and of course it did. When it came time to pick up my dress, she walked it down to my car and gave me my final pep talk. She is a pleasure to work with and a true professional at what she does, she just is! 5 stars. Casey Sent on 09/24/2018There is no one else in Rhode Island I would suggest to do any alterations on a wedding dress than Rose from Sewing Creations by Rose. From the first time I met her for my first fitting, she was so warm and inviting and I knew she was someone I would be able to trust with one of the biggest parts of my day. Each fitting was quick, because she is so efficient with her work. She was able to add such beauty to my dress and made everything so seamless! Rose also gave great suggestions and made everything about the dress process so incredibly easy. Caely Sent on 06/25/2018I've personally recommended Rose to everyone who is in search of a master seamstress. I was originally recommended to her by a friend to alter a dress I bought as a bridesmaid. I personally had never visited a seamstress before, so I had no idea what I wanted to do other than to 'make it fit better'. When I first met Rose, her professionalism is clearly always present. She asked all the details that I didn't even consider (style of hair, time of day, date of wedding, indoor/outdoor, etc). When we finally unzipped by bridesmaid dress I couldn't believe there were holes burned into the dress! I was so embarrassed and I had no idea how they got there. But no worries, because Rose knew exactly how to fix them. When the dress was ready for pickup, you would've never known about the near-disaster.
I recently was married and, of course, brought my gown to Rose to have altered. I got myself into a panic and thought I made an illogical purchase, and convinced myself that the dress would never fit properly. I first called Rose for advice. She recommended that I come in for a consultation free of charge. She put me at total ease. Now, with my wedding day over I couldn't believe how beautiful it all came out. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in search of an expert. She will not mislead you in term of what is/is not possible. -

User1258032 Sent on 07/25/2013Sweet and Talented! After purchasing my dress at Helene's Bridal (see review), I was given Rose's business card. I read several wonderful reviews and decided to see her regarding wedding dress alterations. I immediately knew I made the right decision; Rose has a wonderful, sincere personality and knows exactly what she is doing. Her fee was very affordable. I visited her for three fittings and one last time for pick-up; for the second visit, she wanted me to wear my jewelry and hair like I would be on the wedding day. It was a great suggestion, especially if I had seen something I wanted to change. At the last fitting, she taught my mom and matron of honor how to tie the corset and bustle, and the alterations were already complete. When I picked up my dress, she had the most kind and sincere words for me. My wedding dress looked even more beautiful because it fit me perfectly, thanks to Rose! -

Mony Sent on 08/01/2011Rose, my fairy godmother turned my oversized and wrinkly wedding dress into my dream dress. I brought my Pronovias Romina to her with some hesitation as I wasn’t sure if the dress was right for me. I found it at Filene’s Running of the Brides but the dress was way too big so I had a difficult time envision myself getting married in it. However, I loved the soft fabric, intricate lace and beaded details. I was also in love with the beautiful cathedral train which Rose added a French bustle to so I could dance the night away. Rose did extensive alterations on my dress. I wanted a one shoulder neckline that would help cover up the small scar on my chest. She also gave my dress a fuller skirt for a more fit and flare look. Rose’s most impressive handiwork was the lace and bead work realignment at the hem of my dress. I was worried that the lace would be lost once it was cut to my size but she made sure the continuous lace pattern was perfectly re-attached without error. As for Rose’s personality, she is very sweet and endearing. She carried my dress to my car and had my perfectly pressed veils ready too. Rose also left me a heart felt note. I can't thank Rose enough for making my dress perfect for me. -
