Everything was amazing! They style of the tables (we did buffet) were beautiful. We rented old plates and pink goblets from them and it fit perfectly in our theme. Presentation was just phenomenal! Plus all the food tasted amazing! The smashed sweet potatoes were a huge hit! Our photographer and venue coordinator both came up to us and raved that it was the best wedding food they had ever had! They also got us pre made plates of the apps and dinner for our table so we didnt have to go through the buffet line! They were amazing, the food was amazing, everything was just amazing!

Incomparable! SO GOOD!

Seed Sprout Spoon catered our wedding at they also hosted our rehearsal dinner. First of all, I have to say that Erin is incredible. She is so responsive and the ultimate chef and coordinator. She replied to so many emails, answered so many questions, and coordinated tastings of delicious dishes for us to try. She was great. The entire wait staff (we had the same wait staff Friday night for the rehearsal and on Saturday at the wedding) was also awesome - fun, funny, professional, and really sweet. Just overall wonderful people to work with. The food itself is insane. Just so good. We did stations at the wedding - a Mexican station, a mediterranean station, a pasta station, and an appetizer station. It was all like unbelievable. I've had people coming up to me (now 3 weeks later!) to tell me about which foods were their favorites and how good the food was. We also had an all vegan wedding, which SSS was perfect for, and even my most meat-centric friends are like "omg I need that queso dip again... give me more of those meatballs". SSS was amazing and I would recommend them to EVERYONE!!!

Great food and great partner!

Seed Sprout Spoon did an amazing job preparing the food for our wedding. They made adjustments for us following our tasting and executed the day of the wedding flawlessly. They worked with us to create an eclectic menu that served the needs of our large and diverse wedding party. Our guests were raving about the food afterwards. Additionally, Erin and her team created a beautiful table-scape for us with vintage plates, goblets, linens, and greenery. We appreciated their willingness to work with us to make the day very special. Thank you Seed Sprout Spoon for being awesome! We now like to visit for Sunday brunch to remember how good the food is. DELICIOUS and so beautiful.

We used Seed Sprout Spoon for our wedding in May 2019 and recommend them enthusiastically! The food was truly delicious, perfectly prepared, and absolutely beautifully displayed. The SSS staff were great to work with, and were very thoughtful as we designed the menu to ensure that we were only serving food that would travel well to our wedding venue, which was about 1 hour away. Their catering space hosts a brunch on Sundays, which is a great way to get to know their style, and taste first-hand how talented their chefs are!

AMAZING Food and Lots of Compliments

Erin at Seed Sprout Spoon was such a pleasure to work with! She catered our March wedding, and was so easy to reach out to with questions and updates. She made some great suggestions and helped take our vision and turn it into a reality (and at a really reasonable cost too, for 150 guests). We knew Seed Sprout Spoon was going to be our pick as soon as we had our consultation meeting with a couple drinks and, like, a really nice charcuterie plate at their brick and mortar location. They're super detailed oriented, from the vintage china to the linen recommendations, and Erin is so chill and accommodating, which is exactly what I needed as an anxious bride. HIGHLY recommend!

Great Choice for Glamorous Evening

I can’t say enough about the fantastic meal prepared by Seed Sprout Spoon for my daughter’s wedding. She had her heart set on serving BBQ as the main course and, after a tremendous amount of research, selected Seed Sprout Spoon to fill in with appetizers and prepare the desserts. Erin was so easy to work with and created a fabulous menu for the evening, which satisfied my goal to have an upscale event and my daughter’s goal of having something for everyone. In addition to her amazing appetizers, Erin rounded out the dinner menu with a gorgeous salad, mac and cheese and corn muffins. She also set the tables with antique china, beautiful glassware and napkins wrapped with rosemary sprigs. These additional touches turned simple barbecue into a glamorous evening and I was so pleased with how everything came out. She even made lovely signature cocktails to complete the bar. The food was delicious, the styling was perfect, and the cakes were gorgeous! Seed Sprout & Spoon was such a great choice for our event. A million thank you’s to Erin and her team!

Erin and the Seed Sprout Spoon team was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding! The food was delicious and everyone raved about it. My cake was everything I hoped it would be! They were on-time, flexible with what I wanted my vegetarian menu to be. Cocktail appetizers and the decor was perfect for my wedding vibe! I highly recommend Seed Sprout Spoon for your event! Seed Sprout Spoon was the perfect choice for our wedding. I was almost more excited to eat their food than to get married! All our guests were in heaven enjoying their masterfully displayed dishes and the crew worked with us to provide just what we wanted. Couldn't recommend more strongly.

Beautiful, delicious, and responsible! Seed Sprout Spoon is all that and so much more! When I got engaged, besides finding the perfect venue, the most important piece that I wanted to nail down was the food. For my wife and I, where our food comes from matters--locally sourced, humanely raised, and seasonal were a non-negotiable when it came to feeding 100 people. While Seed Sprout Spoon absolutely delivers in that regard, the food and the presentation is so beautiful. Even better, the food tastes as good as it looks. There is so much love from the sourcing to the serving, and it shows. We were so proud to bring our foodie friends and family to St. Louis, from Los Angeles and Seattle, and have them enjoy some of the best food (especially wedding food) they'd had! In addition to appetizers, and dinner, we got our cake, as well other made-from-scratch desserts from SSS; not surprisingly, they were delicious and BEAUTIFUL. Our guests loved everything served, and so did we! In addition, I had the pleasure of working with Erin Wiles (owner & operator) in the planning and coordinating capacity for my wedding. This woman knows what she is doing, and is really good at it! She helped me organize all of the details from linen colors, to table placement, to the timeline, to flower choices, and of course the food; what to serve, how to serve it and when. Erin followed through consistently, and did not miss a beat. On my wedding day, my partner and I did not have to worry about a thing, or lift a finger beyond getting dressed and enjoying our happiest day. Seed Sprout Spoon is a shining example of what food should look and taste like, what catering should look and feel like, and what taking pride in one's business and the product that they offer should look like. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Seed Sprout Spoon!

Erin was amazing to work with. Erin created a magical evening wedding for our daughter. Everyone raved about the food and wanted recipes for the cheesy polenta. Our daughter had a vision on what she wanted served for dinner and Erin and the Chef knocked it out of the park. The appetizer stations were well stocked and beautiful, the speciality drink Erin created was amazing. I would recommend Seed Sprout Spoon for any catering opportunity. Very professional!

I wish there was an upper limit and I could score above it, SSS was the best decision I could have made for my event. They had a beautiful food presentation and cleaned up every single crumb before leaving. Weeks later, when my friends tell me about my wedding all I still hear about is the food, it's like nothing else mattered. The food tasted just like our original tasting which was also a very pleasant experience. The tasting included every single item from appetizers to desserts and drinks as well as a sample set-up, just like the day-of! Erin was incredibly flexible with our budget and very kindly adjusted our quote. There are no hidden fees and prices are the better than any caterer I've found and best of all, almost every single item was locally sourced, win-win! They were very accommodating to my vegan diet and every one's carnivorous diet, SSS has the full spectrum of excellent food, service, price and presentation; it was by far the best experience of my wedding planning and exceeded all expectations.

I am so thankful that my husband and I decided to go with Seed Sprout Spoon to cater our wedding. We have both worked in the restaurant industry, and it was important to us that we share a locally sourced, environmentally friendly, and delicious meal with our guests. We also needed to offer gluten-free options. Seed Sprout Spoon checked all of those boxes, with the addition of incredible service. Erin made the wedding planning process easy from the start, and was very detail-oriented, which I appreciated! I trusted that she had everything covered. She responded quickly to all of my questions and offered her sage advice when I asked. When we had to change the wedding venue last minute due to heavy thunderstorms, Erin was reassuring and flexible. Because all of my rentals had been delivered to the original venue at the time of the change, Erin and her team took care of moving them to the new venue. I was blown away by her willingness to go to this length to help us have a great wedding. Plus, despite the last minute change, the table scape and other details were still executed perfectly. The food was delicious as well--so many of our guests remarked to me about how much they enjoyed the meal. I will forever be grateful to Erin and her team for demonstrating their care for their clients and being an integral part of what turned out to be a lovely wedding.

I was so happy with everything! The food was delicious and beautiful. This was no standard buffet - everything was set up with unique touches, pretty flowers (Erin even coordinated to make sure they matched what we were already using), and vintage dishes. I am a vegetarian, but my husband is far from one. Erin did a fantastic job helping us design a menu that pleased both of us. I highly recommend using Seed Sprout and Spoon!!

I can't recommend Seed Sprout Spoon enough. They catered our wedding and the food was so delicious, fresh, and charmingly presented. Erin, the owner and our contact, was just wonderful. We had a great tasting with her at Seed, Sprout, Spoon and then she came out to the house we had the wedding at to scout it out and take detailed notes. She has a lot of creative ideas and suggested how many tables to get and how to arrange the party. She gave spot-on advice on candles and decoration, which I don't normally expect from a catering service so good at food. Her collection of vintage serving ware and china plate settings created all the decoration we needed – with flowers and candles we didn't have to do anything else to the house. Her aesthetic set the tone. It could have been in Anthropologie's catalog it was so pretty.

Their chef Brendan was so friendly and capable in the kitchen. He made this cheesy potato gratin that melted in your mouth. The greens were perfectly cooked and the trout and beef tenderloin were so high quality and had the perfect amount of sauce to accompany. My bridesmaid said it was the best beef tenderloin she's ever had.

Natalie and this other server (I'm blanking on name but he was great!) were so friendly.

I really recommend the antipasto display which has amazing salamis, prosciutto, cheese, spreads, and olives all arranged on the colorful vintage serving ware. We had their carrot cake for our wedding cake – mmmmm!!! Unconventional and super popular with our guests!

Seed Sprout Spoon (previously Local Harvest) catered our very small wedding party. We decided to have dinner at our own house after we were married with just our immediate family. Since it was for such a small crowd I really wanted quality local food to be served. Erin and the two waitress set up an amazing appetizer bar outside that led up to a perfect family style dinner! The food was to die for and working with them was such a breeze! Seed Sprout Spoon really focuses on the small details including the flatware, table settings and menu's. I would highly recommend them for any kind of catering event!

AMAZING!!!! The food was delicious and classy and well thought out and all of my guests loved it! They were also very accommodating about keeping dairy and nuts out of our menu. We did a combination of appetizer stations and passsd hours d'oeuvres, and a custom hot beverage bar, and it was just right for our laid back afternoon reception- it was light enough for a non-meal time, but didn't feel at all like we were holding back or being cheap. I got so many complements on the food, and felt like it complemented my reception perfectly

Seed Sprout Spoon (originally named Local Harvest) provided a delicious and gorgeous locally sourced plated dinner and cake for everyone at our wedding reception. The owner, Erin, is clearly passionate about creating unique meals with sustainably produced ingredients from local midwestern farmers, and she was able to cater our 170 guest wedding at prices that were the same or lower compared with any major STL caterer we found (and we considered many). Additionally, Seed Sprout Spoon offered a menu with much more unique and wholesome meal options than we could find at more traditional caterers. Erin was extremely organized and proactive throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding. Both the dinner and wedding cake were delicious and beautifully plated at our reception, and we received numerous compliments at the reception and in the days after. If you’re looking for a delicious catered meal with an emphasis on delicious, whole ingredients, we highly recommend Speed Sprout Spoon.

Working with Local Harvest was amazing! Erin did a wonderful job and the food was awesome! There isn't a single thing that we would change about our experience with them. Erin was very easy to correspond with (we live in Austin) and when we met, I immediately trusted her and the team completely. Our guests were traveling from Boston, NYC, Denver, Chicago and Austin, so we knew that we would have to have great food for these experienced foodies and Local Harvest did not disappoint. - Ash & Matt

Absolutely amazing! We booked Local Harvest for an entirely vegetarian menu. This was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Not only was the food some of the best in the business, but the presentation couldn't have been beat. Erin and her team gave us everything we hoped for. I feel bad for people who make the mistake of choosing venues that have exclusive caterers or “preferred” caterers that don’t include Local Harvest. Everyone in attendance at my wedding RAVED about the food and Erin was an incredible coordinator and facilitator as we totally went rogue and designed our own cocktail-style brunch. Every bite Chef Jed made was perfectly crafted, well balanced, and delicious. The staff at the event was friendly and the food was staged BEAUTIFULLY; it went perfectly with the rest of my décor.

We worked with Erin who was very easy to work with and very accommodating. Local Harvest offers a wide variety of local food, with different assortments depending on the time of the year. We had chicken, sweet potatoes, salad w/ squash & goat cheese, honey glazed carrots and rice pilaf w/ mushrooms, which was all very good. It was more expensive than some other catering companies we looked at, but the quality and ease of incorporating sustainability into this aspect of our wedding was well worth it. We also had them make a small chocolate wedding cake for us, which was amazing! We had no issues with our dinner service and all aspects of the catering went as planned.

Choosing Local Harvest as our caterer was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding (and there are a lot of decisions…). Our guests are still complimenting us on the food. Everything was incredible- tasty, flavorful, and exceeding our expectations. We has several very specific requests and edits following our tasting and they were very responsive- turning everything into exactly what we had hoped for.

Erin acted not only as a caterer, but also as much more of an event planner than I expected. She helped us think through decor choices, brought supplies for and set up our gift table and favor table, and even brought flowers to make the tables more beautiful. Erin was super organized and fun to work with, too.

All of the servers, bartenders, etc who worked the day of our wedding were super nice and accommodating. They worked quickly, were very friendly and professional, and added special touches (orchids on our plates!) to make everything perfect.

If you're deciding between Local Harvest and anyone else, go with Local Harvest.

Local Harvest did sides, salads, appetizers, and the bar, and we served Bogarts ribs as our main dish. First, their staff is FANTASTIC. Erin, the catering manager, is super organized, and she was readily available for last minute changes. Leading up to the event, we had a delicious and beautifully-staged tasting. My youngest sister is 13, and she accompanied me to our tasting, and Erin was so sweet--she mixed her up a virgin version of the signature cocktail, and she gave her a sparkling apple juice when we all got prosecco. During the tasting, Erin also did an amazing job making up the floor plan for the reception; she was very creative, and she did not mind revising the floor plan a few times prior to the wedding--she even came out to the venue with me and did a test run! She also did a great job working with Bogarts! On the day of the wedding, Sarah managed the event and worked with my florist, Flowers & Weeds, and she was wonderful, as well. In fact, all the staff working the event were super sweet--they were very accessible and kept the evening moving along smoothly. We showed up early with the bridal party (and then way more people trickled in early), and they were super flexible about it. They did an awesome job of setting up, and they even set out my cakes perfectly! The table setting they did was gorgeous, and everyone loved the food and wanted to take home leftovers (and we still had a ton of leftovers!). The service during the event, though, was truly the best. All the waitstaff was flexible and super helpful, and our bartender was the best! My little sister asked for one of the virgin cocktails she had tried at the tasting, and they didn't have anything mixed up without alcohol for her, but the bartender went above-and-beyond by figuring out how she could get one! I seriously cannot praise Local Harvest Catering enough overall.

When we decided we wanted to have Local Harvest cater our wedding reception, we didn't know that we would be getting a wonderful consultant named Erin! We had booked our reception at the Local Harvest space downtown, and when that space was no longer available, Erin went totally above and beyond to make our reception a wonderful, unique, and intimate experience. She really had no obligation to put as much work as she did into our reception, but we are so incredibly grateful that she did. Everyone talked about how special the night was, and we wholeheartedly agree! The gorgeous space was even further elevated by the delicious food that Local Harvest provided. We heard from so many people that it was the best wedding food they ever had! The beet salad was divine, and the mushroom ragu with goat cheese polenta was exactly the savory, homey, filling vegetarian option we had expected from Local Harvest. We also loved the drinks that were provided. A vodka orange becomes something greater than the sum of its parts when the orange juice was squeezed just that morning. The quality of alcohol was better than we expected with just the basic bar package, and even the sodas were a delicious brand we had never heard of.

I am so happy with my Local Harvest catering experience. After my wedding I had a flood of compliments by friends and family on how delicious the food was and how awesome it was that it was grown/raised locally. Erin and her team provided such excellent service and were so professional and kind. When it started raining mid reception, they rolled with the punches and kept everything running smoothly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for any occasion!!

We couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful job Local Harvest did catering our daughter's wedding reception at The Old Post Office. The menu available was varied and they were very willing to make adjustments to our liking. Our ultimate selections were fresh and delicious and the presentation was simply elegant. The service was great and executed smoothly so the evening remained on schedule and flowed beautifully. We especially appreciated their gracious response to a last minute change. We are so grateful for their role in creating a very special evening to remember for our family and friends!

Amazing food that guests won't stop talking about :)

Seed Sprout Spoon catered our wedding at Wild Carrot and did an AMAZING job!! We chose a buffet with two entrees, a salad, and two sides. We also got a dessert station in lieu of a cake. The way they set up their buffets and stations is so beautiful with eclectic decor that really matched our vibe. But the real star is the food itself -- truly everything was beyond delicious, and our guests were raving about it throughout the night. We are still hearing from guests that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding! Erin was great to work with and helped us coordinate our place settings and linens as well, which made for a seamless experience. I will say that sometimes communications were a little slow (there was a management change and SSS opened their own venue during our planning period) but don't let that deter you -- they were absolutely incredible day-of and extremely responsive in the month leading up to our wedding, when it really matters. We're so glad we picked SSS to help us execute a memorable food experience!!

Excellent food, excellent style, excellent service

Seed Sprout Spoon was a pleasure to work with. Their food was delicious, and they have a large menu for you and your partner to choose from that includes seasonal and local options. They are also very flexible- we asked for a specific wine choice for our open beer and wine bar and they went above and beyond to find an excellent option. We rented mismatched china from them and it was ADORABLE!! Their style and aesthetic made for a very unique and personal reception. They also added small details that meant a lot to me, like including fine china teacups for our coffee service that were absolutely stunning. They are clearly busy caterers, so they sometimes took a while to respond to emails, but in the weeks before the wedding, they prioritized me and made sure that my anxious concerns about every tiny detail were addressed. They are also pricy, but so are all wedding caterers it seems like (c'est la vie). Overall, they were a great to work with!

Wow what a spread!

Wow what a spread! We absolutely loved the finished product that Erin and her team delivered. The style of SSS is wholly unique and beautiful. They put so much effort into the presentation of the food and incorporating personality and beauty into it, which was important to my husband and I. We were able to have a meeting at their (beautiful) offices and hand select certain styling pieces, tableware, and other accessories we wanted to be sure they would include on the big day. The food itself was incredible. They offer a group tasting with a few guests to be able to try many of their dishes which was such a special thing. Their brisket was to die for as well as their general attention to detail on local ingredients and unique combinations. They were very flexible and open with us on customizing our salad choice and desserts. Loved having them as our caterer.

LHs food is truly amazing. Everyone raved about how much they loved it and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. It is also a very good value in my opinion. It was either on par with or cheaper than most of the other places we looked at. I also love that their food is local farm to table and all natural.

I only have 2 small complaints. First was that it did sometimes take a while to get an email back from them. They were much more responsive close to the wedding date, so it really didn't affect anything too much but it just was a tad frustrating. Second, we had a small wedding and sometimes we felt that they saw our wedding was less important because of that. It seemed as though if we had had 200 people perhaps we would have been a higher priority to them than we were. But in the end that didn't affect our enjoyment of the day so if I was to do it over I wouldn't have changed and gone with anyone else. It was still awesome food that managed to make everyone in the room happy, including one of our guests who is notorious picky eater. It was also displayed beautifully and just really was a great part of the day.

Most weddings receptions have poor food due to you being locked into a caterer when you pick a venue. We picked a non-traditional venue which gave us the freedom to choose our caterer. Food, Service, and experience was excellent. Couples and venues would be smart to choose/offer Local Harvest Catering (now Seed, Sprout, Spoon).

My event was a party, not a wedding... But, I want to save you heartache. Be careful what you order. I got pulled pork Bahn Mi with homemade BBQ sauce. Well, the BBQ sauce was missing. They never discussed or showed Kimchi on the menu, but I got two appetizers with Kimchi.. They were just nasty tasting. Kimchi is a particular taste. They served up Kimchi Bahn Mi (that was their 'vegetarian Bahn Mi" and Kimchi in cucumber cups. The food did not taste good. No one went for seconds. And Erin is not interested in feedback. I would have been better off going to Straubs or Wholefoods.
