We shared inspiration photos and had a consultation. We don't know how they did it, but they took that inspiration and made the most amazing flowers! Many people said they had never seen anything like it! As mother of the bride, I received a pearl bracelet corsage that was beautiful! The cake flowers were phenomenal. We had flowers placed on the cake and a ring of flowers on the whole table. It was truly a touch of heaven for us all! Gorgeous!

Experience, care, and exceptional florals!
When I got engaged and started the wedding planning process I knew that the flowers would be one of our highlights. I started the search early, combing through listings on the most popular wedding sites and reading reviews, asking other past bride friends of mine, and exploring business websites and work on social media - throughout my search, Sedgefield Florist clearly stood out amongst the rest. Luckily, they were available and we could not have been happier with the end result. From the very first consultation, Mickey truly listened to our vision and brought it to life more beautifully than we ever imagined. We worked together over a year planning and exploring ways to achieve our feel and vision; it never seemed like I was just a number or that they were trying to get money out of me. Never.
The flowers were elegant and perfectly matched our color palette and style. Our bouquets, centerpieces, and other arrangements were absolutely stunning and received so many compliments from our guests.
Sedgefield is a family business with years of experience, and you really get that feel when you see the care and intention they put into your wedding florals. Mickey is professional, patient, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with, which made the planning process less stressful. Everything was delivered and set up on time, and the attention to detail was exceptional. We are so grateful for their creativity and care—they played a huge role in making our wedding day unforgettable. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a talented and reliable wedding florist! This father-daughter team was absolutely amazing to work with. Mickey truly loves making us brides feel so special and heard. He gave me plenty of options and suggestions to keep within budget but provide a gorgeous arrangement of flowers. We decided on shotgun shells as the boutonnières and he made suggestions to help make them look as clean as possible. We were able to repurpose our ceremony flowers for the reception, as well as the bouquets. He never once suggested more flowers and was happy to bounce around ideas with me throughout the process. He made every detail go so smoothly during the planning process, as well as the day of our wedding. It truly took the pressure off of me as a bride. The flowers lasted a week! I brought them all home and delivered them to patients at the hospital and nursing homes (I'm a nurse, so that was important to me). I also dried some out and made Christmas ornaments out of them. To top it off, he hand delivered my bouquet to me, which truly shows how much heart and soul go into what he does. His daughters knocked it out of the park with the design side and fulfilled all of my visions. I cannot recommend them enough!

From the start, Sedgefield Florist assured me they cared about creating my dream wedding as much as I did. We had a sit down meeting at first and Mickey took the time to understand my vision, while also being mindful of my budget. He was open and honest about the cost of each flower and he was always available (via email and over the phone) when I had a question or wanted to make any changes to our floral plan, making Sedgefield Florist truly a pleasure to work with. Not to mention, the staff are all so kind. On my wedding day, Mickey even brought smilax greenery he had to spare (at no additional cost) to further boost the look of the already-beautiful floral artistry Sedgefield Florists never fails to create! I couldn't recommend working with Sedgefield Florist more for a seamless florals experience. -

Sedgefield Florist completely understood our vision of a romantic fall wedding. Although our wedding was small and intimate, it received no less love and attention to detail! Sedgefield Florist was an incredible vendor to work with! Mickey was extremely helpful in the process of deciding what we wanted and the execution of our wedding day flowers. He made the experience totally not stressful and was able to provide a ton of great industry advice and recommendations. We reviewed what we were looking for and our budget, and he was able to help us design a plan that exceeded our expectations. He was extremely helpful in finding ways to stretch our budget instead of trying to get an extra buck out of people unfamiliar with the industry. I cannot recommend Sedgefield enough. They were very professional and responsive, and really put my desires first. Instead of attempting to get the biggest budget out of me possible (as I had experienced interviewing another florist), they were very helpful about ways to actually minimize cost while still delivering a beautiful product. The arrangements were very fresh and absolutely stunning. They were self sufficient on wedding day as well, having everything delivered and set up well ahead of time. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! -

Amazing team, beautiful flowers, easy to work with & cared so much about our day! Beautiful flowers
Mickey and everyone at Sedgefield Florist were a dream to work with for our wedding in June. I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to flowers, and he was so patient with me in explaining and showing options at our first meeting and reassured me completely that everything would be perfect for our big day. He created a sample centerpiece for our tasting and walkthrough day, which was absolutely beautiful and was very accurate to what we had on our wedding day! On the day of our wedding everything was delivered in excellent condition, and one of the designers built our ceremony backdrop on site that morning. We were also able to repurpose our ceremony flowers for the reception. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and made it the most perfect day! -

I am so happy that my wedding planner recommended Sedgefield for my wedding. Mickey was a delight to work with and made my vision come true for all my flower needs. I am not super flower savvy, but he was so knowledgeable and worked with me to show me examples of flowers that would work with my colors and clearly communicated all costs, which I really appreciated. Sedgefield Florist is amazing and so easy to work with
I am so happy with the flowers Sedgefield Florist provided us with for my wedding. Even though they were super busy during this wedding boom, Mickey took the time to listen to what I envisioned for my wedding flowers and made it happen. He was so friendly and just a great person to work with. I wanted a large bouquet and had several requests for flowers to include and not to include, colors to have and colors to leave out. The attention to detail was apparent when I saw my bouquet. It was absolutely stunning and I wish I could have it on display forever. I loved it so much. I also wanted flowers in my hair that matched my bouquet on my wedding day. Mickey did such an amazing job picking flowers for my hair – and on my wedding day he delivered them in a vase, with a great selection so I could pick and choose what I wanted and didn’t want. Again, the attention to detail was so impressive!!

Mickey and his daughters are the NICEST people I have ever met! My wedding was in Greensboro, NC and I am from Pittsburgh, so I was worried that the distance for planning would cause headaches. I was SO wrong. Sedgefield Florist made everything so easy and simple it really put my mind at ease.

Delivery of the flowers went perfectly with Sedgefield coordinating 3 different flower drop off locations on our wedding day (my parents' house, church, and country club). Mickey and his daughters are absolutely amazing at what they do. We LOVED working with them for our wedding at Summerfield Farms! Mickey was so knowledgable about the florals he recommended and gave us great tips on getting the biggest bang for our buck. He never made us feel like a customer; we felt like an extension of his family. Even though he has tons of weddings every year, he always instantly knew who I was when I walked in his shop and greeted me with a warm smile. After postponing our wedding, some of the floral varieties we chose were no longer in season (mostly peonies/blush florals), but instead of just telling us that we couldn’t have them, he picked us some beautiful blush dahlias from his own garden! The level of customer service that Sedgefield Florist offers is unmatched, and we are truly grateful for all he did to make our wedding special. We tell all of our friends to use Sedgefield for their wedding, and you should too! -

Mickey and his team were so incredible to work with. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and then throw COVID on top of that and it causes other challenges. Sedgefield florist worked with us the every step of the way and reassured us that even is plans changed, which thankfully they didn't, they would be with us. The flowers that Mickey and his team created were beyond our expectations. He even made sure to secure Dahlia's when they were added to the bridal bouquet last minute! He was so instrumental in helping my daughter-in-law select the right flowers for the season and truly listened to what she wanted and her vision. Sedgefield Florist helped us with not one but two weddings during the pandemic. They provided a beautiful bouquet, arrangements and flowers and greenery for a small intimate patio poolside wedding in our backyard on the original wedding date May 23rd. Then they did a fabulous job with all the beautiful florals for their dream wedding at the Cadillac Service Garage on July 19. It was beautiful and Mickey was so gracious and helpful the entire way as we had to move dates but they still wanted their wedding anniversary to be their original date. We never imagined when we first met with Mickey at Sedgefield Florist that 2020 would bring a pandemic but we got not one wedding but two and they were both made even more beautiful with the gorgeous flowers that Sedgefield Florist provided. The BEST florist in the Triad!

Absolutely amazing!
Mickey and the Sedgefield team were amazing! I love flowers, but I also didn't want to go crazy with them at our wedding. They made my vision in my head of the flowers and greenery come to life! I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked all together in the venue. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were exactly what I asked for. The colors of the flowers were spot on too. We had a hexagon arch during our ceremony that we also repurposed as a background for our sweetheart table and let me tell you, it was an eye catcher. Mickey's on it when it comes to answering phone calls, e-mails, and keeping everything organized. I cannot recommend them enough for a wedding! -

Mickey made the floral arrangements for my wedding and they were BEAUTIFUL. We had to relocate indoors pretty last minute, and he brought in additional decorations and thoughtful touches to make everything gorgeous. He was also very organized and quick with communication to make the floral aspect of wedding planning as smooth as possible. We are still enjoying our wedding bouquets at home 2 weeks later! My goodness, Mickey and his daughters and crew went above and beyond! They truly transformed mine and my coordinator/designers ideas into something I could not even begin to imagine! He showed up the day of the wedding with a bouquet so beautiful I couldn't even believe it! Sedgefield Florist (Mickey!) was so responsive and went out of his to talk to me any time I called, and he met with me several times to make sure the day was exactly I had pictured. If something came up that conflicted with the budget or idea, he called immediatelyI cannot say enough great things about them!!! This is definitely on the DREAM VENDOR list!!!

Sedgefield florist is an amazing small family business that has arrangements that are the same (if not higher) quality of an established chain. Their prices are reasonable and their professionalism is on point. I had a rough idea of what I wanted for my wedding day but I know nothing about flower/greenery. Sedgefield Florist is the best!
Sedgefield Florist is simply incredible! They did all of the flowers for our wedding on June 8th and I couldn't have been more happy with how they turned out! I absolutely loved my bouquet and I loved how well the bridesmaids bouquets complemented it! The floral arrangements on the table were also stunning. We had so many compliments on the flowers.
Mickey Atkinson, the owner, was such a joy to work with. He was the first florist that I met with. I booked him that day and cancelled my other appointments. He's professional, nice, honest, and easy to work with. In fact, after meeting him my husband (fiance at the time) and I asked him if he officiated wedding ceremonies. Unfortunately he does not, but that how much we liked him! When the forecast predicted rain on our wedding day, Mickey was flexible in coming up with a backup plan for our ceremony flowers. He was at the venue on our wedding day as soon as the doors opened to set up and came after the reception to retrieve some items that we rented. Everything was perfect and beautiful! I would highly recommend using Sedgefield florist to take care of all of your wedding flower needs! -

Mickey and his two daughters are INCREDIBLE. Mickey is so personable and spends so much time with each bride to create their dream flowers. In my opinion, the most important aspect of a vendor is honesty. He was so honest and transparent, especially with my flower selection. I showed him a picture from pinterest of a certain flower and he kindly said "those are crazy expensive and fall apart in an hour. Here is another flower that is 10% the price and holds up but looks the exact same". That is the kind of person I want to work with in the wedding business when everyone is trying to squeeze money out of you just because it is your special day!! His daughters did a fantastic job creating the arrangements and bouquets. They were all a joy to work with. You can't go wrong with Sedgefield florists! -

I highly recommend Mickey and his daughters at Sedgefield Florist. Their flower arrangements are absolutely gorgeous and are very affordable! Mickey is one of the nicest human beings you will ever meet! He is so easy to work with and does a great job at staying in touch throughout the wedding planning process, always making sure everyone is on the same page. The day of the wedding they showed up on time and did an amazing job decorating our reception space. I was speechless when I saw my bouquet and my bridesmaid's bouquets. I had given Mickey inspiration pictures and what they delivered looked way better than even those pictures! An absolute pleasure
My daughter Daphne and I first went to meet with Mickey early 2018 for Daphnes wedding on 10/20/2018 at Hodgin Valley Farm in Pleasant Garden, NC. We felt at ease with Mickey as soon as we sat down to talk with him. Daphne told him of her color palette of deep purple, red, pumpkin and peach for her fall wedding and he took us around the store and showed us what types of flowers and colors he thought would work. He listened to our suggestions and we came up with a tentative plan and numbers for bouquets, boutonnières, corsages and he even suggested ways to cut costs to save us money! He told Daphne since she was his 1st bride for October she got preferential treatment. When Daphne and I got in the car an hour and a 1/2 later we looked at each other and said “we just found our florist”! When it came time for her bridal portraits 1st part of October Mickey’s daughter Jo went shopping at Hobby Lobby and put together a beautiful silk bouquet to use for her portraits for a very nominal fee. The wedding morning when all us girls were in the brides room at the farm house getting ready I heard someone say “Mickey’s here with the flowers!” ( and he was right on time) and we made a beeline to see them. Daphne was so happy and my niece got some great shots of Daphne and Mickey talking as he showed her the flowers and him giving her a hug (so sweet and so glad that moment was captured). He and his daughters did a beautiful job not only with the wedding party flowers but the flowers for the arch down by the lake. They couldn’t have been lovelier. In February 2019 a former coworkers mother died and I told my boss I’d handle the flowers for the funeral. I didn’t hesitate to call Sedgefield Florist and they called the florist in New York and sent a beautiful peace lily. My coworker said she and her dad cried when they saw it. When you’re planning something as detailed and big as your only daughters wedding it is such a comfort to know you have vendors who have your best interests at heart and truly want to serve you and make you happy. Sedgefield Florist is without a doubt one of those vendors. I will never use anyone else but them. You will not be disappointed. -

Mickey and Jo were the most amazing team to work with. I met with Mickey a few times and described my vision- he took it and ran with it. They went above and beyond my expectations. When it was wedding day- Jo walked in and showed me her creations. BEAUTIFUL! I told Jo and Mickey my ideas but allowed them to make decisions on flowers and styles and I was not disappointed. Jo even asked the day of the wedding if she needed to recreate anything that I was not pleased with.
My venue also required the room to be flipped. Mickey and Jo set up for the ceremony and stayed for the flip to make sure everything was executed with perfection.
Putting flowers in this families hands was the easiest decision I made! -

Mickey and his team at Sedgefield Florist were absolute lifesavers! My husband and I had to fire our previous florist 3 weeks before the wedding for total lack of communication and we were freaking out about what to do. Our wedding coordinator called up Mickey and he squeezed us in even though he already had several weddings booked that weekend. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Sedgefield Florist!! Our budget was a bit tight and we never felt like it was an inconvenience to them. Actually, they "heard" the vision and made recommendations as to what flowers would accomplish the look and feel we wanted at the cost that fit the budget. They were flexible through the quoting process and delivered a gorgeous product! The table centerpiece flowers lasted a week after the wedding, so we had even more time to enjoy!!
