Just say "yes"

You will not find better musicians at this rate in Los Angeles. And regardless of their competitive pricing, Seaside Strings are talented, timely, and flexible musicians. It was so easy to work with them leading up to our wedding and on the day of. They knew what to do without question, and our guests loved every minute of their playing. We had SS play throughout our reception, ceremony, and lunch, and the music was always tasteful and enjoyable. Just say "yes!"

Beautiful music for our wedding ceremony

We hired a live string trio with Seaside Strings to play during our wedding ceremony. They did an excellent job - the music turned out beautifully and they played the pieces (and even the versions) that we requested.
Chris coordinated with us beforehand via email to make sure he knew what our song selections were. They arrived early with plenty of time before the ceremony to set up, and played right on queue with exactly what we wanted. Very beautiful music and it added a lot to the ceremony.

Beautiful Musicians

Truly a beautiful experience. I’m so glad we hired 2, one a Cello and a Violin. Our wedding ceremony was so beautiful. They played every song we requested. I truly recommend them 100%. No complaints at all

Wonderful musicians!

Chris and his colleague played at my daughter's recent wedding, and it could not have been more beautiful. Chris is also very easy to work with. He always responded quickly to emails and was more than happy to learn new songs if they weren't in their extensive repertoire. Thank you, Chris!

Beautiful Music

Chris Seaside Strings added so much class and beauty to our daughter's small wedding ceremony overlooking the beach. They played so well and we received many compliments from our guests. Would definitely hire them again!

Made our ceremony perfect!

We hired Seaside Strings to play at our wedding ceremony and we are SO happy that we did! Chris was extremely helpful with music selection and their string quartet even learned two songs for us. Great Music

Their work was such a great touch on our wedding ceremony. They were easy to communicate with, and gave us honest feedback when discussing song choices. For when the groom and mother walked down, they played the Batman original theme song and nailed it! The crowd went wild and it really made it such a truly special occasion.

If you are looking for the BEST in LA, look no further!

Chris and the other musicians were absolutely incredible and our guests couldn't stop raving about how great they were. I looked at tons of other String trios / musicians but when I sampled some of Seaside Strings videos on their site, I knew that I had found the perfect musicians. They are way more talented than any of the others and they made our wedding so special. They even did a custom strings version of a rock song and it was spectacular. I'm a very picky person and am sometimes hard to please - that being said I can't recommend Seaside strings enough! We are going to have to find some excuse to hire them in the future so we can enjoy their music again! Also, listen to their samples on their website (especially Sweet child of Mine) you will definitely book them right away. Look no further - they are the BEST!!

Everything smooth and easy!

Totally on top of it. Other than deciding on songs, the whole process took 30 minutes tops (a few emails and writing a check). Everyone enjoyed the strings and I think it made the event quite elegant.

Talented, responsive and flexible team of musicians for your wedding!

Chris and the Seaside Strings team were a wonderful addition to our wedding ceremony. They have a huge repertoire and were also willing to learn a few beloved pieces that meant a lot to my wife and me. The result was a really magical, movie-like walk up and down the aisle. We will never forget it!

We had Seaside Strings perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We were so pleased with how it turned out! Seaside Strings really made our wedding feel elegant and the music was breathtaking.

What a wonderful experience we had with Seaside strings. From the beginning to end, it was a complete pleasure to work with them. From across the country, as I began my wedding planning process with a simple phone call, to the day of my wedding, they listened to my vision and requests and executed flawlessly. They looked amazing and of course played the most beautiful music. They even played for our first dance and parent dances. It was so perfect! I only got to hear and enjoy the wedding march song from seaside strings since we were busy taking pictures both before and after the ceremony. Our guests said they were great! Actually amazing! Thank you for being apart of our special day!!!

Chris from Seaside Strings made this vendor booking stress free and a wonderful experience. He is so knowledgeable and was available for questions leading up to the big day. Their prices are definitely reasonable for the level of expertise in service and performance! We knew we wanted to add a string trio to our wedding ceremony and as soon as we heard them play and read their reviews, we knew we had to book them. They had a current promotion going on so we received a discount on their already fantastic price. The trio was professional on the day of and the music really made the ceremony even more beautiful. If you want an extra touch to make your wedding unique and memorable, hire this quartet! They were extremely easy to work with, and were very friendly and professional. One of the most memorable moments from our wedding was pausing just before walking down the aisle, and hearing the quartet begin playing. I still get goosebumps when I think about it! We hired them for the ceremony music and for cocktail hour, and they were more than willing to relocate for us. We couldn't be happier with our choice to hire them!

I hired them for my wedding ceremony. Chris and his team were very professional and super easy to work with! Chris always response my email timely. They've also been very accommodating when I had to change the schedule after I signed the contract. They performed all the songs I asked for. I got a lot of compliments from my guests that their performance brings quite a bit of elegance to my wedding.

We hired Seaside Strings for my daughter's wedding and we were extremely satisfied, they played beautiful, were professional, and our guests could not stop admiring them.
Seaside streams played at the church and the reception hall, and made our event unforgettable. Additionally I found their fees to be pretty reasonable for the quality of performance they deliver.

I highly recommend this group for any event.

Seaside Strings did a beautiful job performing at my wedding. We researched many quartets and we were happy to have chosen Seaside strings. With professional classical musicians in my family, a quartet with musicality and great intonation was essential. Everyone was very pleased with their performance and music selection.

I found Seaside Strings as part of a groupon type deal through a wedding website. Honestly, I chose them because the deal was so great. I spoke with Chris through email and phone conversation before buying the deal, and he was extremely helpful in explaining everything. Once I booked them, he was so easy to deal with - mostly through email (which is my preferred way anyhow). He emailed me a list of Disney songs they knew how to play, and informed me that they could learn almost any song as long as the sheet music was provided. They even gave me a link to a website with super cheap sheet music. I purchased the sheet music for our recessional, and they even sent me a clip of them rehearsing. They've played Disney before, so I did not have to make any special arrangements. I have not received my video yet, but from guest recordings and reviews, the music they played was very nice. They incorporated Disney music with other classical songs, which was a very nice treat for the guests to hear. I do remember hearing them play the Bridal March, a song for our Unity Candle lighting, and our recessional song. Everything sounded beautiful. They played Fantasmic for our recessional, and it was awesome. They also played the cocktail hour which was nice for the guests. I definitely recommend Seaside Strings to anyone looking for a string trio. They were awesome!!!

We selected Seaside Strings to provide live music during the ceremony and to entertain during pictures / happy hour for our wedding at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, and could not be more pleased with Chris and the entire string quartet. Seaside Strings was very responsive and incredibly easy to work with throughout the process, and even learned three of our favorite (non-traditional) songs for inclusion in the ceremony (all we did was provide the piano sheet music, and they did the rest!). Overall, we highly recommend Seaside Strings!

The musicians were not only incredibly talented, but looked the part.
Half way through our ceremony the skies opened up and it began to pour.
Seaside Strings moved seamlessly under an overhang and still played through our recessional.
They moved again to accommodate the new cocktail hour location, I didn’t even notice!
Seaside Strings are professionals and experts when it comes to wedding music – we would recommend them to anyone!

Our wedding was at the Coto de Caza Country Club. We knew from the beginning we wanted a string quartet and found Seaside Strings. Their website gave a comprehensive list of music as well as audio samples. We had alot of special requests for our ceremony and the quartet did a great job hitting each que of the ceremony. Our guests especially enjoyed their playing during our cocktail hour. They took requests and everyone had a great time. Anytime I had a question or a revision, Chris was very fast to respond via email. They were fantastic!

I wish I could have been a guest at my wedding instead of the bride so I'd have been able to hear more of Seaside Strings. With all the hustle and bustle of getting married, it didn't leave me much opportunity to enjoy their music, but what I do remember hearing was perfect! I asked some family and friends if they enjoyed the string trio that played during the ceremony and cocktail hour and they all said it sounded beautiful. Chris was my only vendor I never met with face-to-face but there were definitely no regrets. Booking them is a very easy and smooth process so there doesn't seem to be much need for it. Also wish I had more of a chance to say hello and thank him in person, but he did make sure to acknowledge me and send over a nice hello when he saw me from a distance whizzing by to go take pictures. Thanks again to Chris and his crew!

Seaside strings did a beautiful job with the music for our wedding. They were very easy to work with and had a lot of helpful information for us when we were planning the music for the wedding. We used a string quartet to play for the guests before and during the ceremony and they played beautiful, classical music. We also used them to play contemporary, rock/pop music during dinner. They did a great job with the contemporary music and the guests loved hearing rock/pop music played by a string quartet! They were on time, dressed very professionally, and did a flawless job entertaining our guests! We thank them for adding to the ambiance of our day and we would recommend them to everyone!

Seaside Strings were a perfect addition to our wedding. They offered us a list of the songs that they regularly play so we could call out specific ones that we wanted to have during our cocktail hour, as well as offered to play any song that they didn't know (with the simple caveat that we provide at least piano music for the piece). My wife and I had very specific songs in mind for the three big ceremony moments (Wedding Party Entry, Bride Entry, Wedding Party Exit), all we had to do is provide sheet music we found online along with a simple YouTube link showing how it should sound and they knocked it out of the park.

Having three songs that we each felt meant something to us significantly being played beautifully on the biggest day of our lives was just fantastic.

Even though we weren't around to hear them during the cocktail hour, our guests only had glowing things to say. For all who are on the fence on whether you should have a string trio at all, I'd say to bite the bullet and do it. And for that service, Seaside Strings is absolutely the way to go. They've incredibly professional, wonderful players and will help make your day all the more special.

Seaside Strings just performed at our daughter's wedding this past Saturday. We could not have been happier! So beautiful! In addition to the ceremony, they also performed during cocktail hour - so beautiful and so classy. I am so happy we found them. I hightly recommend them!

Chris has been amazing from Day 1! He was always responsive with all my emails and phone calls. He is very professional and does an amazing job! I am so glad I had him at my wedding, the music was unforgettably beautiful and perfect!

I have hired the Seaside Strings for both of my daughters weddings the past two summers. I had a trio of two violins and a cello to play music at the church. We chose all of the music for the seating of the guests, entrance of the bridal party and bride, music for the mass and exit music. I recieved many complements and enjoyed the music immensly.
I would highly recommend the Seaside Strings for a wedding or any other social occasion that calls for a classical group.

I found Seaside Strings on a musician site called gigmasters.com. Chris got back to me quickly & I could immediately tell he was confident, professional & yet easy going. He happily accommodated my classical song requests for the ceremony, and then switched to jazz, swing & and classic movie themes for the cocktail hour. The musicians all wore tuxes & were the epitome of class.

My guests raved about the musicians. I heard everything from "what a nice touch" and "really classy" to "they were really on point" and "I pulled up a chair to listen to them during the cocktail hour" -- the last 2 comments were from 2 other musician friends.

My only regret is that I did not get to enjoy hearing their music more. Of course, I was hiding indoors prior to the ceremony, which was outdoors, and because of the breeze off the water, it was hard to hear them past the last row of chairs. During the cocktail hour, they moved indoors to entertain guests, while the wedding party was taking photos, so I missed that portion entirely. I only distinctly remember hearing my entrance music as I came down the aisle w/my dad. Much of the event was kind of a blur, but the ceremony was actually my favorite part, and I definitely think the music had a lot to do with that.

I'd love to recommend Seaside Strings to a friend so I can actually attend an event and listen to them play! At the time I booked, they had an online booking discount, but even without that, I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. They are worth every penny!

Seaside Strings were great! Not only did they sound wonderful, but they were able to play a song that was not in there repertoire. I sent them a mp4 and they figured out how to play it spot-on. Compared to other strings quartets I called, there prices were the best. I was totally satisfied with Seaside Strings. The only thing I would say- and this was not at all there fault, but just something I didn't think of- was that we never told them where we wanted them set up. We just assumed they would be at the front of the church beneath the alter. However, they set-up in the rear balcony where the choir would normally sing. This is also where the organ was located. Because of this we ended up never seeing them. The entire ceremony went by and neither I nor my groom ever saw them- we just heard them. They sounded excellent but would have liked them clearly visible by the guests. We never thought to tell them this or to tell our wedding planner to tell them. We just instinctively assumed they would be at the front. We wonder if our guests even knew the music was being played live. For all they know it could have been a cd.

I have dreamed of having a string quartet play at my wedding for years. I was SO unbelievably grateful to have selected Seaside Strings. Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with; excellent communication, quick responses and a great value. The group was prompt, professional & played absolutely beautiful music for my wedding ceremony & cocktail hour. I would HIGHLY recommend them to any bride or party planner. Chris was very helpful getting the music we wanted for the wedding, as we did not use traditional songs. He was very professional and accommodating. Music was lovely. They did miss one song during the ceremony, but no one noticed.
I would definitely use them again.

The services provided were very professional, as the bride I didnt get to hear them play (besides walking down the aisle and back) but heard from my guests they said the music was beautiful.
Chris was very flexable in fitting our wedding in that day, they were booked for other events that day. Very nice gentlemen.

Couldn't have asked for anything more...probably because we asked for a lot, but they did exactly what we asked for! I had written my own version of the Bridal Chorus, requested some weird cues and random songs, but they nailed every one. They were on time, dressed to impress, and really helped make it a special occasion...highly recommend!

Seaside strings were amazing. A few days before the wedding I emailed them and asked if they could play disney songs, since I'm a big disney fan. They played all my favorite disney songs. All my guest were pleased, and they did notice that the songs were disney.

Seaside Strings provided music for my ceremony and reception and they did a beautiful job. Just sent them the sheet music and they can play what ever you like. I hired the trio and they sounded great playing my selections of Beach Boys, the Beatles and Eric Clapton. It helped make the ceremony and cocktail hour really special.

The reason that I am giving this vendor four stars instead of five is not the vendors fault. It's no ones.... You are too busy to appreciate this vendor. I never heard them play a song. If you are trying to cut back this is the place to do it. They came on time, they played for two hours, and they left.
