Sean is an incredible artist behind the camera, but also an amazing person to have on your team. When we met with Sean for the first time, we knew he had to be our guy. He made us instantly comfortable, and asked really thoughtful questions that got to the core of what we were envisioning for our wedding day (we ended up talking for over an hour that first conversation)!
Super responsive and communicative. I had an ongoing dialogue with Sean via Instagram all throughout the planning process and he took note in all the things I liked (lighting, photography style, tone and even talked to me about the exact film the he used), and brought all that knowledge together to our big day. He must be working with SO many couples at the same time, but he made me feel like we were 100% his focus.
On the day of - it was so comfortable working with him and Molly, because we had been talking so much in the lead up. They really made us feel so comfortable and Sean gave us great coaching and cues on minor adjustments that would make us come out amazing in the photos. And it showed 100%! We are so in love with our photos, a mix of film and digital, color and B+W. He really captured some intimate moments not just of us, but of us interacting with our family in various 1:1 moments. So lucky that we'll get to relive the day through his beautiful photography for the rest of our lives! -

Sean is an amazing film photographer who shot my wedding at the Grand Canyon. I couldn’t be more thankful we chose him and his sweet wife, Molly, to capture our day. He even stepped in when things went wrong the day of and I appreciate it so much. He also had multiple calls with us beforehand so we could prepare and make a perfect timeline. He has extensive knowledge of film and light that we are grateful for. We are obsessed with our photos and couldn’t be happier! -

I don’t know where to even begin. Words can’t describe how grateful I am that we stumbled on Sean and Molly’s instagram page. Booking them was the best decision we made. Not only are they an amazing photography team but they are genuinely good people.
Sean has a wealth of knowledge about photography, timing, and lighting but also about the logistics involved in the day of the wedding. It ensured that the pictures of that day came out perfect but also that the day ran smoothly and you get all the pictures you want.
We are so happy we chose Sean Thomas Photography! Can’t recommend them enough. -

There simply aren't words to describe Sean Smith & Molly properly! From the moment we "virtually" met them, my husband and I were smitten! We felt an instant connection with them, and that connection served us so well on our long awaited wedding day. Sean captured micro-moments that not only preserved our wedding memories forever, but actually led us to experience the day even more fully. We gained a glimpse into moments we hadn't gotten to see by being the bride and groom- so thank you for being our eyes into moments we now got back through your images! The emotions of our day were so high due to my husband beating cancer, reunions from the pandemic, and so much more. We couldn't have chosen a more fitting photographer to trust with this day and those precious memories. Don't even think twice!
We found Sean Thomas Photography on Instagram. I was drawn to how his photos are bright, beautiful and full of natural light. I especially loved how brilliant his shots were without compromising the integrity of the photos. I've seen other photographers brighten their photos to where it appears washed out, which was something I wanted to avoid.
We booked Sean as our engagement shoot and wedding photographer. So far we've only had our engagement shoot which took place July 2021. Our wedding is scheduled for June 2022.
Sean has been an absolute joy to work with since day one. He was very prompt and responsive when we reached out via his website. He dedicated ample time (multiple texts, phone calls, and zoom) to working with our needs and making sure he understood our vision. Sean also did an excellent job of preparing us for our engagement shoot by providing detailed schedules and logistics. He also provided a cohesive timeline for our wedding. Sean even showed genuine interest in our wedding plans and gave us much-needed advice on many questions we had regarding photos, planning, aesthetics, etc.
When we actually met up with Sean we had an amazing time! Sean made us feel comfortable and provided excellent direction. He incorporated a great mix of shots ranging from romantic, to playful, to more serious model-esque poses. We had such a blast! Sean skillfully navigated our photo venue to find the best natural light.
We just received our photo gallery and are blown away. We favorited almost every picture. I don't think we've ever looked this good LOL and it's all thanks to Sean Thomas Photography! Thank you to Sean for his beautiful photography and thank you to his wife Molly who did an outstanding job of editing. We are so excited for our wedding and what's to come next! -

Best Photographers Ever
I’ve worked with Sean and Molly quite a few times now and they have never failed to impress me with their talents for photography and creativity. My husband and I hired them for both, our engagement photos and our wedding photos.
For our engagement session, we went to Yosemite where Sean dedicated two full days, from sunrise to sunset, working hard to capture the most epic and jaw-dropping photos. He showed extraordinary commitment to our shoot when he took us into the park at 4am, to capture perfectly lit sunrise photos. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Sean made multiple phone calls to us, asking questions and going over the timeline and details to make sure the things that were the most important to us would be captured seamlessly.
Sean and Molly could not make a more perfect team; they are truly the dynamic duo when it comes to professional photography. Sean is lighthearted and fun, yet very clear and concise with direction. My husband isn’t one who loves being photographed, but Sean has an effortless way of making the whole process flow naturally, so anyone can feel like they can relax and have fun. Molly works so hard behind the scenes doing all the editing and is equally as talented. Her consistency and her attention to detail makes every photo feel so dreamy and timeless. Did I mention how speedy she is? In each of my experiences with them, they have returned the edited photos very promptly which is something I hear is not the case with many photographers, especially when you’re eager to see how they turned out! Sean and Molly both have such a creative eye for design, imagery and all the little details that make their photos stand out. They are fun, down to earth, professional and have excellent communication skills which are all important things to look for when hiring the perfect vendor.
When planning my wedding, I knew investing in quality photography was one of the most important vendors to me from the get-go. It’s the one thing that you get to cherish as a keepsake forever. Photos are something you can hang around your house, look back on for years to come, and share with generations. My husband and I are completely obsessed with and in awe of our wedding photos we just received. We are thankful to have hundreds of beautiful photos from the most special day of our lives. Sean did an incredible job capturing every emotion of the day and our photos are a priceless treasure that we will cherish and share for the rest of our lives. We are so thankful we didn’t settle for anything less than the best and are forever grateful to Sean Thomas Photography for giving us the gift of our wedding moments living on forever. -

We had such an amazing experience with Sean and his wife Molly! Sean was amazing at getting back to all of my emails and trust me there were quite a few! He was able to answer all of my questions I had and gave me the best advice for outfits and things to pack. My fiancé and I had no idea what to expect at all since this was our first photo shoot, both Sean and Molly made it such an easy experience for the entire day. I could not be happier with the entire experience and to top it all off I have the most beautiful engagement photos I could have ever hoped for. -

Our trip to Yosemite for our engagement photos was one of the most fun trips we have ever done, truly an experience. We forgot we were even taking photos since we were laughing & having so much fun. Our nerves seriously disappeared as soon as we met. Even my husband enjoyed taking the photos! They really guide you & make all of your pictures looks so natural & genuine because they create these little intimate moments. It was very clear that they’re perfectionists because they knew the area so well, the rules of getting into the park, (especially since it was during the pandemic) the weather, sunset/sunrise times, ect. It was such a relief to be in such good hands. They were also so flexible with the types of shots & locations we preferred. Sean really captures the light in all the right places & knows exactly which angles are the most flattering.
The photos themselves turned out AMAZING. Honestly my dream photos. They send you such a great variety of photos & the editing is perfect. One of my favorite things about our Yosemite photos is how absolutely timeless they are since they aren’t over or under edited. The photos were so beautiful & high quality, we have not one, but two gallery walls in our house. It’s been a year since we took our engagement photos and I literally still get compliments on them on a weekly basis. If you’re thinking of doing your engagement photos with Sean & Molly, DO IT. You will NOT regret it. There are so many photographers to choose from but these guys are the real deal. You will not only get amazing, high quality photos, but you will also get a great, stress-free experience to enjoy with your fiancé before the big day. Picking Sean & Molly for our engagement photos was hands down the best decision I ever made regarding our wedding planning. -

The Absolute Best
Sean is the absolute best! We found him on Instagram and booked his Adventure Session for our engagement shoot in Yosemite in October 2020 when we heard of the planned road closures in 2021 (although the park has now announced that they are postponing the road closures until 2022). Before our drive from San Francisco to Yosemite, Sean made sure we were well prepared for what to expect during our 2-day shoot, which included a sunset session at Taft Point as well as a sunrise at Glacier Point and morning session in the Yosemite Valley the next day. We had 2 phone calls before the shoot and Sean walked through the schedule and logistics with us in detail. He made sure to give us a list of what to bring, offered to send us pictures for outfit inspiration, and was even prepared with snacks in case we got hungry during our long shooting day. For our sunrise session, Sean recommended that we all wake up early to be the first ones at Glacier Point since the park was a bit busier around that time of year. We knew he definitely did his research and it paid off because we had the best spot at Glacier Point all to ourselves for sunrise! Even though our Adventure Session was only supposed to consist of 6 hours total shooting time, we never felt rushed! On our way out of the park after our shoot, Sean even offered to pull over to the side of the road and take a couple extra photos of us with Cathedral Peak in the background because he saw the lighting was perfect. He made us feel comfortable from the beginning and his ability to direct the shoot definitely reflected in how natural and candid our photo gallery turned out. Kudos to Sean for going above and beyond for us and huge shoutout to his wife, Molly, who did an amazing job editing the images! We personally love the overall aesthetic of their pictures and we were not disappointed with our decision to trust Sean and Molly with these pictures that we will treasure for a lifetime! -
