Don't judge a book by its cover - Sea of Flowers is a tiny shop on the side of a building. We didn't think they would be able to do our flowers for our wedding, but we'd heard they had great prices. Sabina was a pleasure to meet and she was very helpful. She was very knowledgable about flowers and was flexible in what she offered.
We were looking for "live" centerpieces - not cut flowers, but potted flowers that our guests could take home and not have die in a day or two. Most "wedding florists" we went to said they only do cut flowers, but Sabina was willing to call her grower to see what they could do - and she came through!
One thing I would have appreciated was more advice about the kinds of flowers. While I really liked that Sabina was willing to do whatever we wanted, it turned out that the boutonnieres started to fall apart right after the ceremony. In looking through our notes from other florists, one had told us they might not hold up, and I had forgotten (although, out of the 5 florists we went to, only one gave that advice). Sabina did not really offer advice about what flowers we should use, but just supplied us with what we told her we wanted. If you choose to use her, I would recommend having a strong idea of what you want/meeting with other florists to get ideas.
Her prices were about 3 times less than any of the other florists we'd met with, and they were gorgeous! Because it is a small operation, she didn't have the same kind of portfolio as other florists, but we brought in pictures of what we wanted and she was able to do them. The only regret I have is that I wasn't as specific about what I wanted the bouquets to look like, but in the end, they were still gorgeous, and no one knew what I had envisioned other than me (and they were still very close).
A few days before our wedding, Sabina called me to tell me that she had to go out of town, and that her sister and her sister's husband would be delivering the flowers. She said she'd email me her sister's cell phone number in case there were any problems, but did not. The flowers were a little late in arriving, but still got there before the ceremony... since it is a smaller operation, I guess you cannot always expect things to be perfect, but I would use Sea of Flowers again if I had to do it all over again.
