My wife and I had an incredible experience working with the Scottish Rite Cathedral to make our wedding, truly a dream come true! From the staff, food, and venue to the outstanding service we received, we have only positive things to say about the SRC. Sarah was so helpful and even let me utilize the space for our wife and I's one-year anniversary. She was so surprised and made it another unforgettable moment for us. The venue is beautiful and well-kept. It will now always hold a special place in our heart!

We used Scottish Rite for my daughter's wedding reception. The staff was great to work with. The venue is beautiful! and our guests raved about it. The food, catered by Kahn's, is the best in the city. I've been to a lot of rubber chicken receptions. This is gourmet cooking. A perfect evening.

This place is incredibly beautiful!! We cannot say enough good things about our experience with The Scottish Rite. From the very first correspondence all the way through to our event we dealt with a profession team that truly cares about their client's experience. The planning process was efficient and detail-oriented making sure we were covering all our bases, but also making sure we were spending our time effectively. Grace and the rest of the team are excellent at their jobs and made sure we had the absolute perfect wedding experience. This venue speak for itself. All of my guests were asking "How did you find this place?". My absolute favorite part of doing the first dance on the main floor with all of the guests over-looking on the balcony, truly magical. Could not have imagined a more spectacular venue. Thank you for all the great work you did leading up to and during our special day!!!

The Scottish Rite Cathedral is truly the most wonderful, gorgeous, and stunning gem you will find in the Pittsburgh region. Best of all, the venue is incredibly affordable. We would have been able to have the wedding ceremony and reception in this stunning venue for the same price as a fire hall that really looked like a school cafeteria. I mention that because many times you will see venues advertise that they are affordable and then you see the venue rate is $10,000, but not here. When you walk into the Scottish Rite Cathedral you will be in awe of this beautiful and historical venue. In the lobby, tall columns adorn the huge room with vaulted ceiling and stained glass light fixtures. The female restroom in the lobby would be a beautiful space for the bride to get ready. We fell in love with this venue, but unfortunately we were one of the couples who had to cancel our wedding at the last minute due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cathedral was incredible throughout the whole process and they were happy to help us however they could. We decided not to reschedule our event at the Cathedral and had a very small wedding instead. With that said, Dawn and the Scottish Rite Cathedral team were truly fantastic to work with. Dawn was incredibly kind and answered all of our questions promptly. You should 100% tour this venue, you will fall in love with it.

This venue is a dream! We had SRC on our list as our number on choice even before we got engaged, so we knew we would love it. However, we did not expect the service to be so wonderful, too! So, the venue is beautiful, the service was very responsive, the staff was helpful, and the building is clean and spacious for large weddings. We had our whole event there, which started in the South Lounge for a pre-cocktail, moved to the Theater for our ceremony, then the balcony for post-cocktails, and finally we partied in the ballroom. The whole event was on time, flowed well, and the staff worked great with our planner. You can tell that Kahn’s and Grace communicate well, and they work together to ensure everything runs smoothly. We would have our wedding here again, again, again, and again! We loved it here!

The Scottish Rite was a dream venue from the start, but it far exceeded our expectations! The venue itself took our breath away...as it did for all of our guests. Grace is an absolute blessing as she is quick to respond, super accommodating, and just an overall incredible coordinator throughout the whole process. She answered all of my questions so patiently, and worked closely with me to make sure my wedding day was everything I imagined it to be. We had in town and out of town guests that were in awe of the venue and the beautiful backdrop it provided for our wedding! The ease of having Kahn's partnered with them made for the best and easiest wedding planning experience! I would HIGHLY recommend Grace and the Scottish Rite team!

Grace at SCR was incredible at being very responsive and accommodating. The beauty of the venue was the most talked about aspect of our amazing wedding and the vendors all loved working with Grace and her team as well!!

The Scottish Rite Cathedral was the perfect venue choice for our wedding ceremony & reception. There are multiple options for room size and style, which makes this venue fit for any wedding. Our assistant Grace was excellent in helping us plan our Wedding from out of town. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating to our schedule. The staff made a seamless transition from our ceremony in the south lounge to our cocktail hour and reception in the ballroom. Our guests raved about the elegance and uniqueness of the space! We were so happy with our choice and strongly recommend SRC to other couples!

One of the most beautiful venues in Indianapolis! As parents of the bride, we couldn’t be happier with the process here and warmth and friendliness of the management. No question was too big or small. Grace is a jewel; she made us feel as if ours was the only event she had. She was so supportive, professional and just a very genuine person.

The caterer for Scottish Rite is Kahn’s Catering and again, we couldn’t be happier with the service, and food choices. From the hors devours at cocktail hour through our fabulous entree and on to their delicious cakes at the reception, the food was fantastic! It isn’t often you find the catering company’s owner serving wine and personally overseeing every detail throughout the evening. Joe is fabulous at his craft and runs a top notch organization. Thank you to all!

The Scottish Rite was my dream venue - I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else. The beauty and detail of the Scottish Rite are incomparable to any other venue in Indianapolis. Grace and her team were so extremely helpful, responsive and kind.

When you think of your wedding day you want everything to be perfect. Also, to be able to enjoy the special day with family and friends. Well, we had exactly that. In our experience, planning things out with two years apart was not very convenient, sometimes things might get a little out of place. And then this is when having a such wonderful event Manager like Grace Klinger, and catering Manager Heidi Melton made our experience AMAZING. During the planning process both were super flexible with our hectic work schedules, very reliable, and professionals. We were worried that our family could not enjoy the food, because of the diverse cultures; well Khan’s catering had outstanding options for us and me being the only vegetarian in the family it was very nice to be able to enjoy a delicious meal in my special day.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly, and they handled anything that came up. I could truly relax and enjoy the day! The venue was absolutely gorgeous for our ceremony and reception! We received so many compliments on the venue and the catering, and I could not be happier with our choice. We are forever grateful for all you’ve done to make our wedding the best day ever!

No need to look elsewhere for a wedding venue!!!!! We had our daughter's wedding at the SRC in the ballroom this past weekend and we are still reeling from the incredible night we had. The ballroom was transformed exactly how we pictured it would be. The staff was extremely attentive, professional and courteous to our all of our guests and especially our VIP guests! Kahn's Catering did not disappoint. We are still receiving rave reviews from friends/family regarding the beautiful venue and the food. We had our cocktail hour in the mezzanine so that our guests could watch unobstructed views of the Bride and Groom dance their first dance below us. Words cannot express how happy we are that we chose SRC. It is a night we will never forget! Grace was wonderful to work with and is very professional and accommodating. Freddie from Kahn's Catering did an exquisite job helping us decide on a menu. Hors d'oeuvres were a big hit. The only suggestion I would have is to make sure everything you want is correctly written on the BEO.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral is the most beautiful venue in the downtown area and my pictures will be amazing with all of the wonderful architecture of the building! My experience with the team there was amazing and they were SO KIND! Andrea & Andrew were so nice to me, my husband and my bridal party as well as the whole family. Andrea was with me most of the day and made sure I was calm and relaxed the entire day and I thank you for that! We had our wedding ceremony & reception in the South Lounge, which I totally recommend with all of the beautiful dark wood and painted glass on every wall. Our cocktail hour was beautiful and in the lobby. Everything about that day was perfect and truly relaxing. I didn't have to worry about anything except having a great time! Thank you, again Scottish Rite Team for a truly memorable night!

The Scottish rite cathedral is an absolutely gorgeous venue. We chose to have both our wedding ceremony (theatre) and reception (grand ballroom) there. Lauren was our coordinator and was super helpful. She answered questions before I even asked them. They were very organized and we were able to deliver our things the week of the wedding so we weren't so stressed the night of the rehearsal. We enjoyed every single minute of our special day and I can't imagine having it anywhere else. Also, Thomas catering is the caterer for Scottish Rite. The food was all beautiful and tasted amazing. We even had a special server (bridal valet) for the bride and groom and bridal party and they saved the appetizers from happy hour for us and also made sure that we had water following he ceremony and made sure we had drinks throughout the night. It was an all-around incredible experience.

We only held our ceremony here, and the gorgeous venue did not disappoint. Katie is amazing and we could not be happier with our choice of venue. We found it to be cost-effective for the downtown area, and it satisfied both our religious and secular family members.

My daughter became engaged and a friend told me she use the Scottish Rite for her wedding reception. I went home that night and looked it up on my computer. It was spectacular. We took our daughter down their to look at the facility. She loved it! We loved it! We held our first daughter's reception their then in a little less than two years later we were back there for our second daughter's wedding. The facility was beyond beautiful. The staff is incredible. They looked after our every need. I can't thank them enough for making my two daughters weddings so special!

We had our wedding at the Scottish Rite ballroom and thought it was the most beautiful venue in the city. So many of our guests, especially the ones from out of town, marveled at the unique venue. The staff at the SRC were fantastic and we could not be any happier with our experience. We highly recommend the Scottish Rite to any interested couple.

Katie was great. Very helpful and thought of things to plan beforehand that I wouldn't have thought of to make things run smoothly. Always professional, friendly, quick responses.

We were so pleased with everyone there. At our event the constant response was "yes of course or do you need anything else!! " The ability to store items before the wedding was monumental, we were from out of town so this made things so easy the day of the wedding. The room, tables, and service exceptional. The venue was not only beautiful but so were the staff !! Kudos to all involved.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. We used the lobby for our ceremony and the crystal ballroom for our reception. We could not have been happier!!! It's an absolutely gorgeous building and our photographs look amazing! It rained a little bit the day of our wedding but because of the amazing building we could take gorgeous pictures both inside and outside. On top of the amazing space, the people who work at the Cathedral are incredibly nice and so helpful. I worked with Dawn as the coordinator and she was always quick to respond to both e-mails and phone calls, she answered all of my questions and even helped me find other vendors in the area! The maintenance and janitorial staff are so kind, Gordon gave me his cell phone number and even answered when he was off duty to help me on the morning of! He helped us with anything we needed and checked in on us as we setup to see what how he could help! We didn't have any problems with the Cathedral or the staff through our entire process, they were great! They have a great area to get dressed in and line up in, it has one of the biggest mirrors I've ever seen and was a great space for me to put on my dress as well as for the bridal party to regroup before the reception. On top of all of that, the venue is very affordable and honestly, way underpriced for how gorgeous it really is!

My Sweetpea flowers were exactly what I wanted. They were even more beautiful than I imagine them to be. Thomas catering food was amazing and we are stil receiving compliments on the food. Scottish rite was very professional and followed up on every detail and more to make our wedding perfect. Thank you!

Katie and her staff at Scottish Rite Events did an awesome job in assisting us with a recent wedding reception held in the Grand Hall. She is very timely and organized when helping a mother of the bride plan for a reception. Katie was with us that evening and made sure we had everything we needed to plan, decorate, and host a wonderful wedding reception. The venue is spectacular with wonderful rooms for photographs. The Scottish Rite is absolutely beautiful. Katie and her team were wonderful to work with and did an excellant job bringing our vision to life.

Scottish Rite Cathedral is the most beautiful venue in Indianapolis! When I got engaged, I knew I wanted my wedding reception to be at the Scottish Rite. There is no other building like it in Indianapolis. There is so much detail in every room it takes your breath away. Ashley and Lauren are very easy to work with and respond quickly to emails. They also referred me to other vendors that were fabulous to work with. I received numerous compliments from wedding guests about the Scottish Rite. If you want a "fairy tale" wedding this is the place to have it!

LOVED working with the Cathedral and having our wedding there. We used three of the rooms at the Cathedral - The Lobby for our ceremony, The Crystal Ballroom for our cocktail hour and the main dining room for our reception. When using the Cathedral you will work mostly with Medures, who were amazing.

The ballroom is beautiful in itself and the staff just made it even better! The event coordinator was always available to meet with me or answer questions. It was flawless the whole night!

Astonishing venue. With a talented and knowledgeable planner plus a few lighting tricks, it all became so magical.

The theater combined with a company called elegant occasions makes for the perfect wedding! Staff was amazing and so nice! It was definitely my dream wedding! Thank you again girls! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The ballroom at the Scottish Rite Cathedral is one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever seen. There is a balcony around the second floor level, so we had cocktails on the balcony (and guests could look down at the wonderful table arraingements!), and then moved down to the main level for dinner and dancing. The ballroom is very large, and comfortably seated 150 with a VERY large dance floor. There are some restrictions as to how you can decorate because it is a historic location. You can't tape or tack anything to the pillars, etc. But that was fine, the dark wood and basic design of the room is beautiful to begin with. Valerie was so helpful in working with our whole event. Actually, she was so helpful that I didn't feel the need to have an actual wedding coordinator - she took care of everything! She even recommended the florist that we ended up using! I would highly recommed the Scottish Rite Cathedral to anyone who wants a stunning and elegant reception.

The venue was so gorgeous and you can't beat the amount of space provided for the money! Our only complaint was the flexibility with keeping our decorations over the weekend- it just cost more money in the long run to have someone stay and clean that up.

Brittany and Katie from the Scottish Rite were extremely helpful and flexible during all stages of the planning and including the day of our wedding. As I was planning from out of town, they made themselves available by email and phone conversations rather than meeting in person. Brittany was our day of coordinator and she made sure that everything was in place and ready to go.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had our reception in the "atrium/lobby", and everyone gushed about how nice/beautiful it was.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral was a very affordable way to have a wedding and the venue were included for 150 people. They were very accommodating and helpful.This is a beautiful, elegant place. The food was excellent. All our guests were impressed. The only part I was unhappy with was that the wedding coordinator was very pushy ONLY on the day of the wedding. She pushed the wedding party down the isle and therefore all the wedding progression and music was off.

There was another recetption about 2.5 hours after my wedding and they just seemed to want to rush us out before the next bride regardless if we were done taking pctures

I’ve thought long and hard about what to write on my review to the Scottish Rite Cathedral. I will preface by saying that the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous! When touring the venue with Sarah Bratcher she asked who my wedding planner was. I named 3 I had been looking at. She and the person from Kahn’s catering that toured with us really recommended Betsy Eibling from Indygigz. Fortunately for Betsy this review isn’t about her, it’s about the Scottish Rite. I will handle her later. I do not recommend Indygigz to any bride. Anyway, when booking the Scottish rite I was only booking under the condition that no other event take place the day of my wedding as I had a feeling what could occur if that did happen. Sarah said yes I will do that for you. I will not book any other event that day. So I went ahead and booked my wedding venue. Sarah also told me there will not be any Christmas decorations. My husband and I spent a fortune on decorating the place Christmas themed for our wedding. Two weeks before my wedding I did a walk through of the cathedral and there was Christmas decorations everywhere!!! I asked Sarah if they were staying up and she said yes if you would like them to! How convenient after we spent all of that money. Anyway a week before my wedding I was told that an event was booked at the Scottish rite the same day as my wedding and that I would have to be quiet when entering the Tiler’s room when taking photos. Fast forward to my wedding day after ceremony my bridal party and I were going towards the Tiler’s room (front entrance of cathedral) to take our main photos when I was told I did not have access to that room and could not take photos there!!! That is where my photos with my children were going to be as well as bridal party photos. I got none of the photos I dreamed of due to their selfishness! I later found out that they knew about this other event 3 months prior to my wedding. But I was only told one week before that I still had access to the room but would have to be quiet. On my wedding day I was told I couldn’t even go in there!! Sarah hid like a coward on my wedding day because I was looking for her to confront her! She is the worst! I wouldn’t even bother with this place. The catering company they used is delicious but it’s just not worth potentially not being able to have access to places you want photos! They walked myself and my bridal party outside in the cold around the building and along the street to take photos in front of the building. Sarah, I am still waiting on that apology if you can muster up the courage!
