Chris is amazing!
Chris was so wonderful to work with and made our wedding look perfect. The flowers all came out so beautiful, exactly like I pictured them. He was so helpful and patient, meeting with me multiple times to go over the plan and give suggestions. I am so happy with how everything turned out and have only good things to say about him. 10/10 reccomend! -

Phenomenal Experience!
I worked with Schweizer and Dykstra Beautiful Flowers for my wedding day and had a fantastic experience! I worked directly with Mia and she was wonderful to work with. She not only brought my vision to life but truly elevated it in a spectacular way! Mia was very collaborative and valued my vision while also adding valued expertise and insight. The delivery of the flowers on my wedding day was timely, and all staff were great. We got so many compliments from the guests about our flowers. I cannot recommend this vendor more highly! -

We are so lucky to have worked with Schweizer and Dykstra. From the start, Mia was incredibly responsive and helpful. She listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions which only made our arrangements even better. The bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres were beyond our expectations. We couldn't believe how well they captured and elevated our floral vision. We highly recommend using them as your wedding florist! -

Professional, Caring and Beautiful
I had the pleasure of working with Schweizer & Dykstra for my wedding. Mia met with me, went through pictures with me and saw my vision for what I wanted. The day of my wedding my flowers were delivered on time, and were above my expectations. I received many compliments from guests on how beautiful the bouquets were for me and my girls. From the beginning, Mia was incredibly helpful! She was patient, kind, and friendly as we built bouquets together. I was so happy to see the final product on the day of our wedding! They were gorgeous and received so many compliments! They did a wonderful job with the centerpieces as well! -

I can’t say enough good things about this team. My flowers were beautiful but more then that the level of care and consideration that I received was amazing. Every email was quickly responded to and when hiccups arrived they moved fast to gather and show me options that fit perfectly with my vision. -

Beautiful Flowers
I can't imagine a better place to go to for wedding flowers. Everyone was so easy to work with. My flowers were even more amazing than I could have imagined. Like most brides I went in with a few pictures online but no real idea of what waa realistic for my wedding date and season. From.the moment I walked I felt like I was in good hands. They asked thoughtful question about my venue, my dress, and the overall feel I wanted for the wedding. We came up with a great plan for the flowers. They were really flexible too. I added an extra flower girl. I just e-mailed them and they responded within a few hours. They even reached out to me before they placed the final flower order just to make sure there were no more changes. Everyone raved about how beautiful the bouquets were. I couldn't be happier. I will be forever thankful. -

Absolutely Amazing
I cannot recommend this vendor enough! MariEllyn understood my vision and worked within my budget to create the most beautiful arrangements possible. I cannot believe how much attention to detail she paid and everything was delivered looking fresh and fantastic. My bouquet still looked stunning and like new three days later - despite the heat and lying on my bedside the whole time! I had an absolutely beautiful arch that she had moved from the ceremony space to showcase our sweetheart table during the reception. I cannot stress enough how amazing it was to work with MariEllyn and her team. Every single element was perfect. -

Amazingly personal service and gorgeous flowers!
We had such an amazing experience working with MariEllyn and the wonderful team at Schweizer & Dykstra Beautiful Flowers. Had a great consultation, where we talked about the theme of the wedding and the space and what we wanted. Within minutes, MariEllyn had created a sample bouquet and had NAILED my aesthetics and taste. Day of, MariEllyn delivered our bouquets, boutonnieres, and flowers for our arch and ceremony seating. She was kind, excited, took the time to put the boutonnieres and corsages on all our wedding party. She completely transformed the ceremony space with her designs. And, had extra flowers and materials to add to our cake and other spaces at the venue. The care, thought, and artistry that went into the work that MariEllyn went above and beyond anything that I could have dreamed of! Just an outstanding florist!
My experience with MariEllyn and Chris from Schweizer & Dykstra Beautiful Flowers was absolutely fantastic! My daugther had a vision and at her approval, I sent pictures to MariEllyn of what she was trying to achieve for the evening. When we met at the venue for a trial run, I could not believe my eyes! The arrangement was spot on and gorgeous! On the night of the reception, I was able to go into the room to take a peek as their team was working and I started to cry! The flowers looked so beautiful on the tables (we had 25 tables). They did an outstanding job on the Sweetheart Table, and the Place Card table as well. I got such rave reviews about the flowers all night long. They will work with you until you have exactly what you want. Don't hesitate to use this fabulous florist. They were amazing!! -

I have nothing but positive things to say about MariEllyn, Carol, and the rest of the Schweizer & Dykstra team. They are AMAZING!
We came to Mariellyn at the recommendation of one of my family members. When we sat down during our initial consultation, I shared a mish-mash of ideas, Pinterest pictures, and half-formed thoughts about what I thought I wanted my wedding flowers to look like. MariEllyn and team listened carefully and immediately began assembling arrangements on the spot to try to capture what I was describing. She listened to what I liked and didn't like, and her suggestions really helped my vision come to life.
Not only are MariEllyn and team talented florists, they're also honestly crazy fun to work with! Wedding planning is stressful, and to have a vendor you just enjoy being around was so great to have. We laugh and joke during our appointments, and it's just like being with a group of your friends.
Finally, wedding day came. The flower arrangements were TRULY spectacular. The pictures I included with this review don't do it justice, and it doesn't capture all the statement pieces MariEllyn created for my event. Our guests were so impressed with everything, and people wouldn't stop asking me who did my flowers. The statement piece she created for my sweetheart table was completely show-stopping.
We LOVED working with Schweizer & Dykstra and wholeheartedly recommend them for any bride looking for the best florist around! -

We decided to go with Schweizer & Dykstra Beautiful Flowers as our florist based on reviews we read on Wedding Wire and we could not have made a better choice! From the very first meeting we knew we were in good hands. MariEllyn was absolutely amazing! She was so easy to talk to and really understood what I was looking for and ran with it. The entire process was so stress free and enjoyable. MariEllyn went above and beyond to make sure our flowers were perfect and I didn't worry for a second about how everything would turn out. She even made sure we got as much use out of our flowers as possible by moving our ceremony arch behind the sweetheart table for the reception. It looked beautiful and we were so happy we got to enjoy it the rest of the night. I highly recommend Schweizer & Dykstra. They are a pleasure to work with and you will not be disappointed! -

Mia at Schweizer Florist was absolutely fantastic! I've been using this florist for years, so I knew I wanted the best florist for my daughters wedding. Mia worked with us & made our vision come to life. When I entered Indian Trail Club, and saw the beautiful room, I was so overwhelmed. I never thought anything could look that beautiful! MariEllyn at Schweizer and Dykstra Flowers was absolutely wonderful to work with. From our first correspondence to our last, she was HUMAN. I had the bizarre scenario of organizing my entire wedding from abroad. Across the sea from Japan, I started a dialogue with many vendors that seemed "computer generated". I was pleasantly surprised to receive MariEllyn's response with such warmth and openness to collaborate. By the time I met her (on my wedding day!) she greeted me with a hug as though we were old friends. Said "don't worry, I got this", and proceeded to decorate my ceremony arch better than any photo we had shared back and forth. Marched into the groomsmen room and expertly pinned the boutonnières. Presented me with a glorious bridal bouquet, put a family trinket into the bouquet on the spot and went to set up the reception tent. Above and beyond the centerpieces, she scattered petals and placed other props about the tent. I highly recommend this wonderful soul to any bride. When she says, "I got this.." she most definitely delivers! -

MaryEllen and her staff at Schweizer and Dykstra florist were absolutely wonderful in helping make our wedding day so special. They were extremely patient and took a lot of time to sit and talk with us to design our perfect bouquets (which were stunning!) and even when we thought we were creative and could put our own centerpieces together, we quickly realized we were in over our heads. We frantically showed up at the florist and asked them to help and with no hesitation they said of course they could help! And they designed a beautiful arrangement for a very reasonable cost. We would suggest meeting Mariellyn and Caryl in person if possible! They are so warm, creative, funny and accommodating. They were able to turn our ideas into tangible, beautiful centerpieces, bouquets and chuppah. They worked with the items we brought, had suggestions of where to find other elements we needed and stuck as close to our budget as possible. Mariellyn even brought back a succulent from a trip to CA that she thought would look great in my bouquet! The day of our outdoor wedding it appeared as though it might rain, they were going to come back and move everything inside if necessary. Chris, Mia and the entire team at Schweizer were perfect in every way. From our initial meeting where Chris quietly listened to my vision and used samples around the store to demonstrate and make sure we were on the same page, to understanding our budget and making sure we were comfortable with the cost, Chris was a true professional. He made suggestions when asked and they turned out even better than the ideas I originally had. The day of the wedding he made an extra delivery we hadn't planned on without batting an eye and was exactly on time as promised. The flowers were amazing and elegant and exactly how I had envisioned them to be! And we received a ton of compliments! Chris was flexible with accepting payment from us and working with him was just a total breeze! I would recommend him 10x over, he will make your wedding special and perfect! -

If you want perfection these are the people to see. I had several different types of pieces for my wedding and they were all beautiful. The bouquets were absolutely gorgeous. They even sent me pictures to make sure the pieces were exactly what I wanted. They even made last minute changes and were so accommodating. Loved every piece! -

The Dykstra Divas were incredible! At the first meeting they worked patiently and thoughtfully with my mom and I to come up with some ideas ( we didn't give them too much to work with). They were super conscientious of our budget and came up with creative arrangements that could help us decorate a big reception on a modest budget. They never made me feel rushed or pressured. As the big day approached, we met one more time to finalize things and I was again impressed by their personal touch. Just a few days before the wedding, a craft project we had been planning fell through and I called to ask if it would be possible to add 15(!!) boutonnières. They were unfazed and took down names for each boutonnière to make them easy to give out at the wedding. Everything was exactly as promised or better! All flowers were delivered or ready to be picked up on time. They decorated the cake perfectly, and it was much nicer than I expected given our budget. Schweizer & Dykstra florist was THE BEST and easiest to work with vendor we used. I would recommend them to anyone. They made the whole process stress free and perfect! Mariellyn and the rest of the girls (The Divas) at Dykstra's were beyond fabulous. I have never worked with a nicer group of ladies! Anything that I wanted or needed they were there to help, even with hugs and kind words when I was stressed! I gave them my complete trust and confidence with our wedding and they exceeded my expectations. They did the flowers for both my shower and for the wedding. My shower was a surprise and they kept everything a secret! The flowers were absolutely stunning! Their service was outstanding and always prompt responses for any questions that I had. Anytime that I stopped in the shop I was always welcomed with coffee and even to charge my cell phone! They worked with me on everything, from ideas to prices and scheduling and even listening to me vent on things that didn't even pertain to flowers. I can't thank them enough for the beautiful talent and warm hospitability. Such a lovely group of people, I am so happy that I had the chance to work with them and if I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing! When I walked into the grand ballroom at the Hilton Pearl River, I was awed! The beautiful centerpieces and the other decorations were truly stunning -- simple but stunning -- simply stunning. I can't even begin to describe how happy I am with Dykstra Florist. From the second I walked into the shop, MariEllyn took the best care of me. After being to many other florists and not having them listen to anything I wanted, I felt so much more comfortable with MariEllyn. She asked me for specifics of what I liked and wrote down every detail, as well as, asked for pictures which she printed as reference. She asked for my budget and worked to cut costs with me wherever we could. She was also very patient with me when I changed my mind about my arrangements.
I felt like I had complete trust in MariEllyn and I'm glad I did! Leading up to the event MariEllyn sent me pictures of what the arrangements were going to look like. They were amazing! I loved everything about this place from the moment I walked in for the first appointment. They were the third florist shop that I had went to, and after a few minutes I realized I had found the place I was going to be getting all my flowers and table arrangements from! The people there are so nice and outgoing. The had great suggestions based on what they heard me say I liked. The thing that I loved most was that we gave them a budget of what we were thinking about spending, and with in hours of leaving there the first time, we received a phone call of what the cost would be for everything. That was something no other florist did for us!!! The second time I went there, it was like months had not passed. They remembered everything about the first time we met, something I take into high consideration after meeting so many different people for my wedding. The day of my wedding, the showed up and put everything together, from the chuppa, to the table arrangements. Everything was BEAUTIFUL!! I highly recommend Dykstra's Florist and Greenhouse for any upcoming events anyone might have! -

I just loved working with Caryl and MariEllyn. From the beginning, they bought into and got excited about my vision and extended it into something great. I wanted something a bit eclectic (all centerpieces were a little different) and wanted blues and teals (not exactly standard flower colors), but they were full of ideas and creativity. Even when their greenhouse got destroyed by Hurricane Sandy just two weeks before, they were out working and refused to be slowed down. They also have the cutest and friendliest Burmese Mountain Dog puppy. The final products looked just like I had envisioned, and I got compliments on the bouquets especially all night. Dykstra took the time to get a feel for me and my style, rather than just demanding specific details, but they also including any specific flowers I liked. It was my ideal of what working with an artisan should be. Prices were also very reasonable, they did a mock-up for us and were great about adjusting the arrangements from our feedback, and communicating with them was always a pleasure. Even when I just stopped by randomly, they always made me feel welcome and valued. -

Dykstra florist is a wonderful place to use for all your wedding flowers! The team of ladies that run the business are such wonderful women. They kept in contact with me and no problem changing any of my order as I got closer to my wedding date. Their prices were very reasonable and they will work with you to meet your budget! -

We loved working with Dykstra for our wedding. They completely understand my vision for my wedding and they executed it flawlessly. We loved how the bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony flowers and arch turned out. They did an amazing job with everything and really listened to what we wanted. We highly recommend them! -

I just have to thank these wonderful women for making my day so special and taking the stress of my back!!!!!! They are the best and they work with your budget, no matter how low your budget is they will make the event look beautiful and they went above and beyond of what I asked for!!!!! Absolutely amazing! Planning a wedding can be one of the most overwhelming tasks and the staff at Dykstra's Florist made it the best experience ever! Their passion and excitement was conveyed in their beautiful work and they really go above and beyond in every aspect! Our guests were floored by the arrangements and I couldn't be happier! They are hands down, the best around! It was a pleasure working with them and I am truly grateful for all their hard work. You don't come across a better group of people (vendors) that often and they'll leave you smiling at every turn. -

Mary Ellen and Carol quickly became my new best friends as soon as we met. These ladies are fun, sweet, and really know what they are doing. I LOVED my bouquet, it was exactly what I had asked for and it looked stunning. All of the bridesmaids and maid of honor's bouquets were also very beautiful.
I would have liked a few more flowers on the cake (but it still looked very nice and it had the elegant look we were going for), and the price in the end was a little bit more than we were originally planning on spending, but to be honest, I dropped off a ton of stuff for them to do just a few days before the wedding, and their work was worth every penny I paid because they made everything look wonderful.
I was so happy and excited when I walked into the church, and then again when I walked into the reception. Mary Ellen and Carol, We can't thank you enough -- for being so laid back, for meeting with us whenever we could make it up to Spring Valley (no matter what time of night, even after closing), answering all our questions, for setting up EVERYTHING, for taking care of all my crazy "do it yourself" projects, for making this decision one of the easiest ones I had to make, and for coming through on your word and making everything look absolutely beautiful. You're both amazing ladies.
Do yourself a favor and meet with Mary Ellen and Carol. They are willing to work with you, and give you some peace of mind that everything will look great. -

We were originally planning on doing the flowers ourselves. A few months out we decided to get an estimate to see the price difference and I am so happy we did. While our centerpieces weren't anything too difficult (submerged orchids in cylinder vases) their pricing could not be beat and was completely worth the ease of mind in not having to do it ourselves. I showed them a picture of a bouquet that I liked and they recreated it perfectly. They substituted a few of the flowers out from the original picture to work within our budget and the results were truly amazing. We worked with Carol and Mary Ellen and they were both super-friendly, organized and creative. -

I ORDERED 2 ITEMS FOR A DEATH IN A FAMILY. ORDERED A PLANT FLORAL ARRANGEMENT AND RECEIVED A VERY SMALL BASKET WITH LESS ITEMS IN IT THAN I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE. ALSO REPLACED SOME ITEMS WITH FLOWERS THAT WOULD DIE WITHIN A FEW DAYS. IT WAS NOTHING LIKE WHAT I ORDERED. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE BUSINESS, THEY OFFERED TO SEND A PEACE LILY. VERY SMALL FOR WHAT I PAID FOR IT. WOULD NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. ALSO, PURCHASED A FRUIT BASKET THAT WAS NOT UP TO PAR. SMALL FOR PRICE PAID. -
