Alex and his team provide superior hospitality. From the very beginning of the wedding experience, Alex has captured our greatest moments.
From our very special PAFA Philadelphia proposal + engagement session, providing vendor referrals, to curating our incredibly emotive and heartfelt proposal, he has curated timeless photographs.

Alex provided thoughtful notes and details to elevate groom’s wedding day details. We absolutely adore the groom’s final look!
Alex is a true professional. Throughout the wedding planning process, we were incredibly impressed with his attentiveness and thoughtfulness. Downpours were in the weather forecast for our wedding weekend as Hurricane Lee approaches. I was a bit nervous for the weather and family formals. In communicating this, he was incredibly attentive to our needs, remained optimistic, and we worked together to create a rain plan in case of poor weather. On our day, the rain plan did not need to be executed. Family formals were an absolute breeze.
Alex and his team went above and beyond to ensure of our comfort level. Providing a small portable fan as it was a little toasty outside.. Literally, THE BEST!
I have received endless compliments. The team was incredibly attentive and captured incredible candids and beautiful portraits throughout our day. Simply, his process is effortless.

Alex and his team are so incredibly talented and amazing at their job. We were so fortunate to have him shoot our wedding, to which he did not disappoint. The pictures are just stunning and beautiful to every degree. Not only did we love the pictures, but Alex was beyond helpful and the upmost professional on the day, even having fashion tape, lint rollers, and a keen eye for everything included in the shot. Would recommend him to everyone! So thankful for him making our day as beautiful as it was! -

I do not even know where to begin regarding how talented Alex truly is. From our very first phone call he was so charismatic and kind. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about photography.
You never feel like just another wedding on his books. He truly makes it such a personable experience which was exactly what we wanted.
From the moment Alex walked in for our getting ready photos I immediately felt at ease. He was very quick, but also incredibly comfortable and knew exactly what to say.
I also have to mention he went ABOVE AND BEYOND by saving the day. He had scissors on hand for all of the bridesmaids that needed them (a special shout out because he had to keep pulling them out for each girl… sorry Alex). My sisters strap on her dress broke and Alex hand sowed it back on. Like COME ON. Above and beyond doesn’t even describe it.
During the ceremony and reception I barely noticed him and his assistant Michelle which is a true talent. They were able to capture the perfect moments without being remotely intrusive.
If you need a photographer look no further. Alex is absolutely the right one. Another special shout out to his wonderful assistant, Michelle. Again, apologies for some our more wild groomsmen.
You know you found the right photographer when the bridal party and guests can’t stop mentioning how great he is during the wedding.

Alex was the second photographer at our wedding in October of 2021 and we have nothing but positive words for him! Alex has such a positive energy to him throughout the entire event and was engaging, knowledgeable and kept everything moving smoothly. The pictures that we received him and my primary wedding photographer were STUNNING! We could not have asked for a better team!! We received our wedding photos from Alex today and I am in awe of what an amazing job he did capturing the joyous feeling of our spring microwedding! His images are bright, colorful, and full of life and movement. Our family and friends are sending so many positive reviews and my husband and I can't wait to fill our house with prints (although its going to be challenging to choose our favorites!).
Beyond the gorgeous images, I would give Alex 10 stars if I could for how wonderful he is to work with. He made everyone feel so comfortable being photographed and was a calming and comforting presence to have with us throughout the day. Alex went above and beyond to keep our day on track, stress-free, and fun (and there were lots of reasons to stress, from my dress ripping before I walked down the aisle to the room with our rings losing its doorknob). We cannot wait to have Alex be a part of our larger wedding next year too!Schon Photography's reply:

Alex captured our day beautifully!
Alex captured both our engagement photos and wedding day beautifully! He was easy to work with, made the day fun and kept us as on schedule as possible. He offered great advise and tips while planning and on the day of coordinated with our other vendors seamlessly. He goes above and beyond the role of photographer to make everything perfect (he had to help button my dress and tie a bow tie and picked up the wedding bands we left behind by accident!) Our wedding photos will last a lifetime and we were so happy to have his artistic but organized skill set! -

Wow!!! Choosing a great photographer was the most important decision for my husband and I during the wedding planning process and we could not have made a better choice than Alex! He is absolutely amazing and his photographs are spectacular! He will make you feel so comfortable and your engagement and wedding photos will come out amazing! -
User2076297 Sent on 03/24/2015Getting the right photographer was the most important part of my wedding, and I'm so glad I waited to choose mine until I found Alex! I was super picky with my photographers, but now I can't say enough great things about him and his work! He was so professional, and our photos were amazing! He gave us everything we wanted, was super flexible, and best of all never got in the way at the wedding. I'll be the first to admit my husband and I aren't models, but he gave us enough direction that our photos came out looking like we were! From the beginning, Alex was the best photographer we had met with in terms of how easy he was to work with and how comfortable we were around him. He let us make changes to the wedding packages so we got exactly what we wanted, and he went above and beyond with helping us plan our wedding. I don't think we could have gotten a timeline to work without him... it was like having a wedding planner and photographer all in one! We got our photos pretty quickly after the wedding, especially considering he shoots film AND digital (a big plus for us!). His album design is beautiful... it's clean and elegant. I feel like it's a piece of art! He also helped us pick out what photos to get printed, and gave us the name of different labs to use so we wouldn't have to get prints done at CVS. I can't image having my wedding without Alex. He really made the difference for us when it came to planning and making sure the day went smoothly. He's THE BEST when it comes to photography, and he's such a friendly and likable guy too! He comes highly, highly recommended... if you're looking for a wedding photographer, DON'T WAIT! He's an absolute delight to work with, and we couldn't have asked for more! -

Attended my niece's wedding and Alex was the photographer. I just saw the photos and they are fantastic, the formal and the candid. He has a great eye, knows how to work with all kinds of lighting and can be counted on to capture the moments. Highly recommend.Schon Photography's reply:

Molly Sent on 01/30/2021Extremely Negative Experience
I have considered whether to write this review for a few weeks, but I cannot remain silent and let anyone else have an experience similar to mine with Alex and his photography company. Like many others looking to plan a wedding in 2020, my initial wedding was planned for July 2020, and was cancelled due to COVID. Having lost thousands of dollars in deposits and fees for cancellation of the wedding, but eager to marry my fiance, we planned a microwedding for December 19, and engaged Alex in mid-October for the services on December 19. We had two phone calls that totaled less than 1.5 hours between that day and the day when we were forced to cancel our wedding due to additional restrictions being put in place in Pennsylvania. Alex has structured his contracts to provide for a payment of 35% of his fee as an initial deposit and the entire remaining balance due one month prior to the event; as such, we’d paid our entire fee by the time we needed to cancel our event. Of course, it is his right to structure his payment structure as he likes, and in the pre-COVID world, weddings were planned much further in advance than in our situation so I understand the structure and I understand that I agreed that no fees paid to Alex would be refundable for any reason after payment.
In any event, we had paid Alex a total consideration of $2,800 prior to our cancellation, and after we were forced to cancel a second wedding, my fiance and I decided not to move forward with planning another wedding. We reached out to all our vendors, including Alex, and asked whether they would consider returning any portion of the payments we made, above and beyond the deposits to hold the date, given the extenuating circumstances and the PA ban on all indoor, multi-family gatherings and since we would not be planning another event. I am happy to report that there are many vendors who, notwithstanding that they were not required by the terms of their contracts to return any portion of the fees paid, were extremely flexible in returning portions of our investments.
In contrast to every other vendor, Alex did not reply to my email for five weeks. When he did reply, he offered to transfer his services to another date, but I explained to him that we would not be moving forward with another wedding after two cancellations and losing thousands of dollars in the process. Alex then refused to refund any portion of the $2,800 paid to him. Given Alex’s unresponsive and unprofessional conduct, I told him I was not going to be able to recommend him in the future, and only then did he offer to refund 35% of the fees I paid in exchange for me signing a nondisclosure agreement and nondisparagement agreement, which he had VERY handy. I wish I had known I was dealing with someone like Alex before I entered into a contractual relationship with him. He came across as friendly and engaging, but as soon as circumstances changed, he was unprofessional, unresponsive, and in my opinion, unreasonable in keeping thousands of dollars. Plus, I find it hard to trust anyone like Alex who replies to a genuine request with an NDA and gag order. It makes me wonder how many other people have been silenced by his practices, particularly during COVID.
I deeply encourage you to use another photographer for your event. There are many photographers in the area who are willing to be flexible, both generally and with COVID and you should have someone who is willing to work with you, not against you, especially for an event as meaningful as your wedding.

At the time of your cancelation, COVID restrictions were not in place. We’re sorry you felt you needed to cancel your micro wedding less than two weeks before your scheduled date. Per your contract and your emails, you understood canceling so late meant forfeiture of any monies paid. We had already turned down other events to reserve your date and had other clients schedule sessions around your micro wedding date.
We offered to reschedule to any date in the future free of charge – as we have for over 30 couples impacted by COVID – and presented further options such as elopement photography, sessions, etc. all also free of charge. After you threatened to slander and libel our business if you were not given a full refund, we offered you a partial refund with the understanding that you would not defame us.
We tried every effort to come to an amicable solution and were disappointed that we were unable to come to a resolution. We wish you two (and your pups!) nothing but the best for the future.
