Bridal shop with an abundance of choices

I had a great experience at this bridal shop and purchased a dress and veil. The bridal consult was amazing, patient, and helpful throughout the entire appointment. Since it's located in Scottsdale I was a bit concerned I wouldn't find a nice dress within my budget but they have sooo many dresses in each price category. I highly recommend Schaffers.

Amazing experience the whole way through

Can't say enough good things about Schaffer's! From an amazing experience trying on dresses with Kimberly, who had the perfect mix of forcing me to be a bit decisive while making sure I felt like a queen, to ripping out the zipper to put in a new one and add real buttons, to making sure it was absolutely perfect when I picked it up the day before, I have no complaints! The dream dress experience! Veil was also from there and was amazing.

Amazing experience!

I went the the Schaffer’s location in Scottsdale, AZ and had the best time! I was a bit nervous walking in but the ladies there made me feel so comfortable and were so helpful. I absolutely love my dress and can’t thank me enough for helping me find it!

Best Choice for Any Budget

My experience at Schaffer's was amazing. They had gowns to fit any budget and style and did not pressure you into going above your budget. The service was exceptional, my dress got in before the quoted time, and everything went smoothly.

Amazing Dress

I loved my dress. They met with me multiple times to find the perfect dress. They checked in throughout the process and did multiple fittings. I was impressed. They were very responsive. We had a small snafu where my veil ended up missing. The error was on my side, but they searched the whole store and offered to have an employee bring a replacement. Luckily, I found it...but that kind of service it rare!

Found my Dream Dress at Schaffer's!

I can't say enough great things about everyone at Schaffer's!! They were absolutely wonderful. Kristina helped me find my dream gown. I tried on dress after dress--- multiple times :)-- and she was very patient with my family and me. I really appreciated that. I am pretty indecisive and I never felt pressure. She ultimately encouraged me to retry on a dress that I ended up choosing. As for the alterations, they turned out so much better than I could have imagined. I knew I needed some work done to my dress to make it my dream. I trusted Jeneka and Chi and I am so glad I did. They were worth every penny. A special thanks to Jeneka as she made me feel so special and important every time I went in-- that's how every bride should feel. My dress was not an easy one to bustle but I literally cried after seeing how wonderful of a job they did. Not to mention, all of their accessories are stunning. I loved my earrings, veil, and hair pin. Love these guys! I feel like I gained friends in the process. They were professional yet so much fun! If you are looking for the perfect wedding gown experience, Schaffer's is a MUST go. Thank you so much for everything ladies!!

Schaffer's was an amazing wedding dress shopping experience. I have been there several times for friends and ultimately for myself! Tons of dresses in multiple price points. Buying, delivering, and picking up was flawless. Their new salon is smaller from when I initially purchased in August 2017 but still private and separate from other bride's appointments. Erin was amazing and made me feel super comfortable. We could take our time picking out dresses with no pressure or rush. All the staff there is super friendly. I would highly recommend going here for your wedding dress experience. I went to a few other salons that felt cramped and wouldn't even let you look at their dress selection! Not at Schaffer's. You won't be disappointed.

Schaffer's Bridal was amazing to work with! I'm a plus-size gal and let's face it, I hate dress shopping. Jessie and the team there at Schaffer's made it so easy and simple! I found a great dress that was originally $2,800 - it was marked down to $600.00! With the alterations, the grand total was just perfect for my budget! Mo altered the dress twice to add little cap sleeves and straps and I felt like a princess on our day. Thank you, Schaffer's and Mo for all of your help!

I just bought my dress last weekend and buying it here was a fantastic day! The person who helped me was absolutely amazing! They perfectly picked dresses for me to try on after a quick talk and were patient and dead on. After I was done, my mom actually found her dress here as well! It was a great appointment.

I loved working with Schaffer's. They have dresses for every budget imaginable and they were very easy to work with. The girls helping me with my dress were so fast and the best I had worked with for finding a dress. I had been to two other stores and those visits didn't even compare to Schaffer's. They also do in house alterations which is convenient. The dresses are priced fairly, alterations are a little expensive, and accessories are pricey. I am purchasing accessories from other places.

I recently came into the Scottsdale location with my best friend who is getting married this fall. Our experience was extremely easy going and enjoyable. My best friend purchased both her wedding dress and our bridesmaids dresses here and the process was very smooth. We never felt pressured into buying anything and the consultant was very helpful. Their selection was huge and the prices were extremely reasonable in comparison to other bridal shops we had visited prior to our appointments.

I can not say enough good things about Schaffer's Bridal, I went to 4 other shops in the Des Moines area, and Schaffer's quality of dress is non comparable -- they carry the most beautiful dresses! My stylist Megan was absolutely amazing, she was so sweet, caring, knowledgable, and made it fun! She was awesome to work with, I am very picky, have very high standards, and had a 4 month engagement -- I also went way over my intended budget but it was mine and my moms doing, they were extremely respectful of my beginning budget and have varying price ranges. They made all my dress dreams come true, I had the best experience with them for my dress I decided to go with them for my accessories, bridesmaids dresses, and tuxes. They were AMAZING to work with especially Megan who worked with me throughout the process!!

I purchased my dress from Schaffer’s and had a great experience from start to finish. My mother was only in town for one day, so we crammed all of our dress browsing into one day; Schaffer’s was the last store on the list of 3 we visited, and I was so glad I saved it for last! Our consultant was super sweet and helpful, and I felt very little pressure. They had a ton of stunning options from a variety of price points, and I was really pleased with the balance between quality and cost. After a long day of trying on dresses, the whole experience was very refreshing and I left having found the perfect dress right in my budget. The dress arrived ahead of schedule, and alterations was a smooth and stress-free process.

I went to a total of 5 bridal shops, including Schaffer's in Arizona and Iowa. Both locations were amazing and hands down better than the higher end boutiques I visited. They are very attentive. The dressing area makes you feel like you have the whole store to yourself. Best of all, I never felt pressured and was able to easily stay in my budget due to the way the store is setup. I cannot recommend Schaffer's enough!!

I came here on my first stop for trying on wedding gowns and I was not disappointed. Kacey was absolutely amazing, she was so helpful and patient letting me take time in each of the dresses. She had my back when my mom and sister tried to push me into dresses I didn't like and was super knowledgeable. Without her I would probably have purchased a dress I didn't love! I went to a second bridal store after Schaffers, only to come back and purchase my dress from Kacey later that evening. The best customer service, hands down. I've gone back with two of my bridesmaids for their dresses and it continues to be a stellar experience with Kacey!

I stopped into Shaffer's on a whim. I live in Chicago, but happened to be in Des Moines for a weekend. They were nice enough to let me through the racks without an appointment. I saw a couple dresses that I absolutely loved and decided to make an appointment the next morning before I left town. I absolutely fell in love with the second dress I tried on and bought it that day. I was impressed with how quickly my dress came in. They were wonderful to work with during my first shopping appointment and each alterations appointment. My dress was absolutely worth traveling to Des Moines for each alteration appointment. During my final fitting I notice one little issue with the dress and they were more than happy to fix it that day so I could take my dress with me and get on the road. I had so many compliments on my dress and am so happy that I stopped into Shaffer's randomly that day!

I had a great experience at Schaffer's and my bridesmaids did as well. They were very respectful to our budget and let us pick through and try on as many dresses as we would like. I was between two dresses and they were very accommodating to allowing me to come again to compare them. After deciding on "the one", they were very helpful when it came to sizing. They took my measurements and then matched them to the specific designer's measurements. The dress took a bit shorter than the time they told me it would to come in, so that was a nice surprise! I also bought my veil there and my bridesmaid dresses were from there as well. They had a GREAT variety of sizes (color and style as well) for bridesmaid dresses which was something we needed since one of my bridesmaids was expecting (she would be 6 mos. at the wedding). They worked with her to find a dress that could be altered to fit and even made sure they could intentionally do her alterations last minute to ensure that her dress would fit well for the wedding. They had an excellent selection in style and price for wedding dresses and they also had good sizes available to try on.

Meghan at IA location was extremely helpful and eager to answer all my questions. She was very accommodating to my disabled mother who came with me and insured that she felt involved. She was extremely friendly and very easy to work with. Meghan was hands down one of the most welcoming, professional, and fun individuals I have "worked" with so far. She helped me find the perfect dress for my day and made the process a lot of fun. Meghan made sure all my questions were answered before I left the store and even gave me a folder with some nice planning resources. I would recommend Schaffer's to anyone who is looking for someone who will listen to your wants and price range and have you leave the store with your dream dress that is in your price range without the feeling of being hassled to spend more then you want and that all your concerns have been addressed.

I chose to look for my wedding dress at Schaffer’s after reading other reviews. I am so happy I decided to go with them. They made the experience so much fun and easy. I was allowed to look at, touch, and grab as many dresses as I liked and did not feel pressured at all!! They gave helpful advise that was not pushy and made sure I picked a dress I was happy with. They were also respectful of my budget. I felt they had large selection in my budget I liked how the gowns are organized based on price so you don't have to see dresses out of your price range. Ellie did an amazing job on my alterations by adding adding a satin bow I purchased separately and making sure it was adorned to my dress just right. I also purchased my veil there and they had it in within a few weeks. I highly recommend getting you wedding dress of Schaffer’s!

Schaffer's was by far my favorite store i went to when searching for my dress. I had been to David's Bridal but they seemed like they were in a hurry and they didn't let me try very many on. The quality of their dresses seemed cheap. I also went to Bliss and they were not friendly to me when trying on. And the quality of those dresses seemed even worse. So when i went to Schaffer's I was very pleased and ended up getting the very first dress that I had ripped out of a magazine. All of the staff was friendly and very helpful and the shop is very nice and professional looking. I say Schaffer's is one of the best options in Des Moines area.

I bought my wedding dress from Schaffer's, and I am SO glad that I did. We ended up buying our bridesmaid dresses from another location due to lower prices, but it didn't take long to realize why they were cheaper (but that's another story...).

Schaffer's had dresses in all shapes, sizes and price ranges. They had lots of space for my family and friends to sit when they came with me to try on dresses and we never felt like we were on top of the other customers in the store. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were also honest about what did and didn't look good on my body and I totally appreciated that.

Lori, whom I believe is an assistant manager or manager at the store, worked directly with me and even gave me her email address to communicate directly with her on any questions I had. She was incredibly responsive and genuinely kind. My dress came in and I was notified immediately. They worked with me to find times for me to come in and be fitted that worked with my schedule. Their seamstress was also fantastic and did a great job on my dress!

Over all, I would definitely recommend Schaffer's to any future bride out there!

Schaffer's Bridal Salon in Scottsdale, Arizona was absolutely amazing to work with. My mom and I only went to one bridal salon before I said "Yes to the Dress"! The bridal consultant listened to what I was looking for in a dress and stayed within our budget. The last dress I put on, I started crying! The seamstress was extremely kind with all my 3 fittings! It was a joy working with her and visiting with her each fitting. She gave excellent suggestions as to what to do with my dress after the wedding. When I picked up my dress the consultant was so helpful with explaining how to steam my dress once I took it out of the bag, how to care for it the day of the wedding, and even helped me carry my dress to the car. Thank you for making me look magical on our wedding day!

My dress from Schaffer's was amazing!!! I got a million compliments on it! I loved Schaffer's my experience there was awesome and Sally was amazing in alterations! Only one time when I went back to try my dress on did the girl tell me that I had to take it with me A YEAR before my wedding, I simply said that I was told that it would be stored at Schaffer's until my wedding and I was not taking it with me, the girl said ok and that was that ( I never saw that girl again any other time I went back) Otherwise, everything else went as smoothly as possible and I would recommend anyone to purchase their dress at Schaffer's. They have so many beautiful gowns to choose from and I sure was more than happy with mine!

Schaffer's is a stock store so if you're a small size, prepare to spend all your money on the alterations. I was so incredibly lucky and found a discontinued Maggie Sottero gown (originally $1700) on sale for $99. Add more luck when it was a size 8 and fit my body very well. It's $185 to hem and $185 to bustle which they admit can be high compared to other tailors, but for the quality and price of my dress, I went with them for the tailoring. The entire staff is so professional, from the reception desk to the sales staff to the seamstress. Excellent work.

I had no idea what kind of a dress I wanted but when I wanted Meghan was there to help me and I told her I knew more of what I didn't want then what I did. She brought me a selection of dresses and helped me every dress. She knew my budget and didn't bring me anything outside of it. She was great and when I got to the last dress I already had 2 contenders but the last one was a dress that I wouldn't normally try so I decided to go for it. As she was tying the corset I was smiling from ear to ear and the dress was amazing and it was a great price due to being a floor piece that needs no alterations. I never even thought of going to any other store.

I first went to Schaffer's to help a family member look for a prom dress. We met Kasey, and she helped us narrow down options. I scheduled an appointment to go back the following week, and was excited to look for dresses. The experience of looking for dresses at Schaffer's was perfect. I had spotted a dress, and Kasey made sure she pulled it for me. After trying on a few options, tried on THE dress. I ended up relocating prior to my wedding, and Schaffer's was so accommodating with fittings. I highly recommend looking for a dress here, and make sure you ask for Kasey!!

I purchased my dress from Schaffer Bridal Scottsdale Az. The customer service was outstanding. At my first appointment the salesperson only directed me to dresses within the budget I had given to her. I very much appreciated that and she was extremely helpful. I love Schaffer's!! All of the girls are so helpful and incredible to work with. I was lucky to have scheduled during a big sample sale. I found my dream dress for an incredible price (85% off)! They have an amazing selection of dresses in all price ranges. In the end, I walked away with a beautiful Pronovias dress that was so uniquely me. I would (and have) recommended Schaffer's to any bride, MOB, bridesmaid, prom and pageant girl. The selection they have is amazing and it's not pushy on the sales end. A true bridal shopping experience.

Schaffer's was my one and only stop! I got engaged on a Thursday and stopped in on Saturday. Lisa was fabulous, I told her exactly what I wanted, we pulled a few dresses and tried them on. However, out of the corner of my eye I spottedthe most beautiful Cymbeline strapless, taffeta dress in the world hanging on the rack. I found out it was a discontinued model so if I liked it I could take the floor sample. Fit like a dream, loved loved loved it, slept on it and went and picked it up Sunday morning. Lisa also help me pick out the most perfect bridesmaid dresses by Bill Levkoff. The girls loved them so much they claim "they could actually wear them again!" I found my dream wedding dress at Schaffer's and it was so reasonably priced!! Laurie was amazing, and she made the process so special and memorable, and I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day. My bridesmaids all ordered their dresses from Schaffer's too, and they were so easy and communicative. Most of my bridesmaids lived out of state, and Laurie made sure to communicate with everyone and shipped their dresses in plenty of time! They made the process seamless and stress free. I would recommend Schaffer's to anyone who wants to find "the" wedding dress for their special day!!

I thoguht this place would be very expensive, but they have gowns in all price ranges. Lisa, was the one that helped me and she was terrific. She helped me find the perfect gown and made the experience calm and fun. The alterations were fantastic. I never felt like I was pushed into buying anything. No pushy sales people here.

Beautiful bridal store with very helpful girls working there! I went to the Arizona shop in Scottsdale, which had just been opened, and it was truly a great experience! We came in with a larger-ish crew (6 of us) and they brough over extra chairs. The dress selection was great (wide price range) and they had dressing/ show rooms that provided different lighting (night lighting) so you could really see how the dress would look at night/ for the first dance. They offere a discount if you get your bridesmaid dresses through them too, and were very helpful throughout that process as well. Over-all, it was a great experience!

We couldn't have asked for a better bridal salon. I selected my dress on my very first wedding dress shopping trip, and it was picked out by the consultant that assisted us. We were given discounts for buying my gown from their salon, and we certainly took advantage of them! Additionally, subsequent appointments for necessary alterations and fittings were scheduled with no hassles, and the gown alterations were high quality and of exact precision. Highly recommended bridal salon!

Loved the dress, loved the veil & loved the service.
Schaffer's were the only place I went. I didn't have a lot of time because I was getting married within 5 months so I had decided to visit as many bridal salons in a couple of days but after I visited Schaffer's I didn't have to go anywhere else. They had a great selection of dresses at different price points. They also stocked my favorite line 'Pronovias' although I ended up with a Maggie Sottero Gown...!!! Karla was very friendly and always happy to help. We also got my bridesmaids dresses from them, they were also able to arrange to send the dress to one of my bridesmaids in Baltimore, MD. They are also very competitive in price. My Gown came in 3.5 weeks prior to the wedding and we were able to fit in 3 fittings and have everything done on time. Everyone was commenting on the dress. Beautiful and a great fit for me!!! Although, being a wedding dress a bit heavy and a bit uncomfortable when it came to sitting down (mermaid fit) but it was totally worth it.

I loved this place! They really take care of you and listen to your wants/needs. I was floored at the selection and ended up purchasing my dress the same day I went in! (they take 10% off if you purchase same day) My one complaint is my bridesmaids are size 10 and size 14 and the sample sizes for bridesmaids dresses are 0, 2, 4. We found one dress in a size 12 but it was nothing we were looking for style wise. Unfortunately the bridesmaids did not want to buy here because they could not try them on and I was not going to push them. But overall this place rocks ive referred friends there already and they agree with me that this place is top notch!

This is actually a review for the store in Scottsdale AZ. I would highly highly recommend Schaffer's to anyone looking for a quality bridal boutique. They were fantastic!! I had actually purchased a Maggie Sotero dress from a vendor in San Francisco. I needed to have it altered, and The staff at Schaffer's were AMAZING! They stayed late to get me in. Every trip to Schaffer's was a pleasurable experience. They have a large selection of designers and styles. The service was great - they were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Being that my wedding was out of state, they gave me suggestions on transporting it. I absolutely LOVED my dress and am so happy I found it.

Loved the service at Schaffer's! Not from Des Moines but definitely top bridal store in the region after checking out some incredibly subpar stores here in Des Moines. Every person I worked with was outstanding and courteous. One in particular went out of her way to help me with a problem regarding my Rehearsal Dinner dress and it turned out fabulously.

I didn't get my "dream dress" here - though I bought both my wedding gown and my Rehearsal Dinner dress at Schaffer's. I bought a dress that my mother chose for me and insisted on paying for. I brought a large group with me - something in retrospect I wish I hadn't done. I wish I had gone in by myself and selected a few to try on in front of the group. My dress was beautiful and affordable (made even more so with that sweet discount they give you) but I should've listened to my own instincts more since I know what I like. Everyone loved the dress, especially my now-husband. So that's that. I do wish the alterations weren't so outrageous - you feel a little held hostage since you're so afraid to take your dresses anywhere else to be altered but what can you do?

All in all, it was a very good experience and Schaffer's is definitely a place to go when looking for your wedding dress. They do work hard to please you and have quality merchandise.

Schaffer's is a great place for all of your bridal attire. They have so many gowns and veils to pick from, you are sure to find the perfect gown! The staff is very helpful and will make your gown fit like a glove.

I loved working with Schaffer's and drove to Des Moines fromt the Chicago area in order to work with them. Their selection was very comparable to anything that I saw in Chicago and their prices and taxes were much lower. All of the girls there made me feel very special.

I found my dream dress, in my budget, at Schaffers. My family lives in Des Moines and on a whim I went with my sister to look at gowns. Ali was so helpful and patient, showing us dresses that I could afford & that were form flattering. I purchased a sample Maggie Sottero lace& satin dress, that had never been worn for under $1k.

The dress was beautiful but the neckline was just not quite right. Emily, Autumn & Schaffers alteration team got to work, crafting a new neckline out of lace & satin that looks like it had always been there. There was a small mishap with a small area of the back of my dress. Schaffers was quick, thorough and completely professional.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They helped me with one crisis after another. Although I didnt order my dress from here, after multiple problems with the shop I did order it from, I decided to get it altered at Schaffers. They changed the dress I was only half-liking into a dress Ive dreamed about since I was a little girl. Even better, three days before the wedding I had lost a bunch of weight due to stress and they were able to take the whole dress in 2 sizes in a day! But the best part was their help with tuxedos. We ordered all the GM tuxes from here but not the groom's. He purchased his tux and shirt elsewhere. The groom's shirt came in on Friday and instead of being ivory it was YELLOW! We immediately ran to Shaffers to see if they could by some miracle order a shirt to match the GM in time. Hal (my angel) who works there with tuxes said "I somehow knew that would happen so I ordered you a shirt last week". OMG. I about cried. They even took the rental shirt in at the waist so it would fit him better (my husband's a small guy). He saved the day and my husband looked AWESOME. They are the sweetest people!

They helped me find my dress and my bridesmaid dresses. They did a great job pinning my style to a dress that I wouldn't have looked at on my own. They made me feel like I was the only one there even though they were extremely busy. I also had a huge group at one point and they were so nice and allowed me to have over 10 women there. They made all of my bridesmaids feel comfortable and helped them find what would look good on them as a group. I loved them!

The team at Schaffer's was wonderful! I found my pronovias dress on the first round and couldn't have been more happy. I had about 5 fittings and a bustle redo and the team at Schaffer's never let me down. The day of the wedding the dress was perfectly steamed and exactly what I imagined. My wedding shoes also purchased at Schaffer's were quite comfortable too!
The guy's tuxes looked sharp and were exactly what we ordered. Hal's help on pre-wedding made all the orders accurate and we didn't have to waste anytime during the busy wedding weekend. Thanks to all at Schaffer's for making our wedding party beautiful!

I bought my wedding dress at Schaffer's in Des Moines, IA a few weeks ago, and I could not be happier with my experience at this store. The sales associate was extremely helpful, and communicated well to find out what style I was looking for and was she careful to abide by my budget while looking at the variety of dresses available. There was a wide variety of dresses, and I really like the way the store was set up by price, making it much easier to sort through the dresses I had available in my budget and what was outside my budget. I ended up not choosing a dress at my first appointment, but they were very helpful in booking me a follow-up appointment. This allowed me to think on my decision and was able to come back and choose my dress with more confidence. Some of the other bridal stores I have visited encouraged me to make a decision regardless of whether I felt ready to choose but I did not feel any of that pressure at Schaffer's. I am very happy with my purchase, and would recommend this store to anyone looking for a wedding dress.

Schaffer's was a great wedding shop to go to for my wedding dress! They treated me like a princess every time I came in. They were very professional and they were amazing at helping me choose a dress. The woman I worked with picked out maybe 15 dresses for me, and I actually liked almost all of them! Very tuned in to your tastes! They explained everything I need to know for the big day and how to store it. Their service was really wonderful! The only part I didn't really enjoy was the price. The dress was well priced, and I even got a discount for choosing to buy a dress within the first week I visited. It was the alterations that really costed a lot. I had a big price tag for a hem and a bustle. People were very surprised when I told them how much the alterations were. However, I really didn't know who else to take my dress to in order to get the alterations done. I knew Schaffer's would d oa great job, and it's such an important dress - but oh well! Everything else was amazing!

After a dress search that encompassed Minneapolis, Quad-Cities, and Sioux Falls, a friend recommended Shaffer's--I am pleased to do the same. I was able to find the perfect dress at Shaffer's at a great price. After a small snafu involving the ordering of the dress, Shaffer's worked with me to ensure that the correct dress arrived and could be fitted in time for the wedding. I highly recommend!

The ladies there make you feel comfortable and at home when you shop here. They do not push anything on you that you don’t want. I was able to be honest about my small budget and they were able to help me find a gorgeous dress that I absolutely loved. It was a rack sale dress and exactly what I dreamed of, but didn’t think I could afford. The only thing was the cost for alterations there, I went to a small business for that. But their selection of dresses and customer service was excellent!

We used Schaffers for my dress and alterations, the bridesmaids dresses, and suit rentals. They were super easy to work with and provided great recommendations for everything. They did have me order a dress that was several sizes larger than I would normally have ordered, which cost me quite a bit in alterations to take in, but otherwise no complaints!

As a Bride coming from out of state in search of the dress, I was a little nervous to begin booking my appointments, especially in one of the biggest dress capitals of the nation. Schaffer's made me feel right at home. The communication was professional but also welcoming. When I arrived at my appointment, my stylist completely understood my personality and style and picked dresses accordingly. Plus the organization of the store was everything a bridal boutique should be. The dresses were separated by price so you could look at all of your price range options without having to hunt across the store. Also, having the dressing room open up to the attendants you brought with you made it super easy and expeditious. You essentially were on a stage the whole time :) A double thumbs up to Schaffer's for making wedding dress shopping one of the most memorable experiences of my wedding planning process.

I purchased my dress from Schaffer's in West Des Moines. I am not a big fan of shopping, let alone a day full of trying on dresses. After a weekend full of wedding dress shops in the Des Moines area, I went to Schaffer's on my own on a weekday. They by far had the best customer service and actually made it a fun and pleasant experience. Jeneka was so patient. After talking with me she pulled lots of dresses to help me figure out what I was looking for and let me take my time. They also let me come back later in the week to show my mom. Some of my bridesmaids also bought dresses there and at each appointment the sales consultants were awesome and so pleasant to work with. When my dress came in it was too tight to fit but somehow the consultant at my dress fittings knew exactly how to altar my dress for the perfect fit and made me feel beautiful every time. I never had to stress about my dress or my bridesmaid's dresses. Highly recommend Schaffer's!

Schaffer's Bridal was fantastic and I found my beautiful wedding gown! I didn't think I would find what I was looking for at this bridal store based on the designers they highlighted on their website but I was wrong and so happy that I went there! I gave Ashley, my dress consultant, my budget and a vague description of what I was looking for and she pulled a great selection of dresses out for me. She never tried to sell me something above the limit I gave her - something I appreciated very much. I stopped back a few other times after purchasing the dress so that I could try it on for my bridesmaids that were unable to attend the shopping trip and I never felt as though I was imposing even though the sale was already done. The bridal salon itself is beautiful and I will be going back to look for a formal long dress as well.

Schaffer's was amazing. The only thing I was frustrated about was the astronomical prices of their alterations which you have to have done there. After they took my measurements and I paid as much money as I did for my dress it should not have cost $500 to alter my dress.

I had a great experience at Schaffer's. My mom bought her dress there 30 years ago, and I was thrilled to find my dress there as well. The staff were very helpful throughout the process. During the first fitting, my consultant took into account my preferences (helped that I brought examples of dresses I liked) and worked with me to find the perfect dress. The dress I selected had beading and other elements that I didn't like. The staff were great in letting me know what could be changed and delivered as promised. I had a little trouble with the seamstress when I was getting the length taken up, but the consultant was very good at mediating. Overall great experience!

Schaffer's had a wonderful selection of dresses and tuxedos for my husband and I. We both got exactly what we wanted and were very pleased! The alterations on my dress were $500, but well worth it once we saw the finished product!

The bride got exactly what she wanted. The designer was slow in making in dress, but Schaffer's was very good in accommodating the situation.

The staff was very knowledgable. I needed a dress in less than a week and they were able to find me the perfect one and have it tailored overnight. They also provided us with my husband's tuxedo and his best man's tuxedo - both of these were ready for us without any complications within 3 days.

Love them!! Faythe and her daughter, Sara are excellent to work with. They can do alterations on a dress you bought someplace else or they can custom make anything to your liking. If you are looking for a unique dress, definitely check out their website!!
I had an idea in mind but did not have pictures to go with it. With Faythe's help, we sketched out exactly what I was looking for and she created it in no time!!
I definitely recommend them!!

Had plenty of room for my family when trying on dresses. A wide variety of styles and fabrics! They separate all their gowns by price points which made choosing some dresses to try a breeze. Staff was upbeat, helpful, and very professional!

Schaffer's Bridal was great!! I was so glad when I had my second appointment there to find the perfect wedding dress that they had the new Pronovais dress, Fantastica. It was so beautiful and so perfect!!! They did a terrific job on getting it altered for my wedding day. The only thing I was worried about was they didn't have it perfectly altered by the time I had to pick it up so they had to do an emergency alteration since I lived so far away from the store (4 hours). But otherwise it was just perfect!!! As well as the bridesmaids dresses. Alterations were a bit pricey but it was worth it.

I purchased my dress from Schaffer's on my very first day of looking and knew I had the perfect dress. They were very easy to get scheduled for fittings, however, I had 4 alterations appts throughout the process which was confusing at times because a different consultant helps you each time. I think this could have been eliminated if the consultant that sold me the dress could have helped for the whole process. They were all nice, just made for confusion on what was being done during my alterations. At one alteration fitting there appeared to be 2 small holes on the front of my dress that should never have gotten there, those were able to be smoothed out and made less noticeable. The day I picked up my dress I noticed there were then 3 small white "chalk" looking marks on the satin, but they assured me it wasn't chalk and it was steamed and pressed out. Because it was raining that day the owner was kind and let us pull up to the store entrance and he more than willingly ran my dress out to our car for us to keep it as dry as possible! That was very appreciated and beyond his duties. They were great all in all and my dress looked wonderful!

Exactly what I needed

Working with Megan to find my dress was a dream. I had been dress shopping in Chicago, where my wedding was, and was frustrated by the poor customer service experiences i was having. Buying a dress is a lot of pressure in itself, so having pushing saleswomen makes it worse. Megan was the opposite of that and exactly what I needed! She let me browse dresses, ask questions, and have time to myself as I went through the process. She made it feel like my choice, not being pressured into choosing one right away. I am so thankful for that!
I chose to have my alterations done at Schaffers as well. I understand they are two separate entities. The Schaffers employee that facilitated the fittings was very helpful! She helped convey my vision to the team and help get it done correctly. Even had them make alterations on the spot so I could take it home that day!
The actual alterations though, I would not recommend. After the first round we did, it had to be completely re done. And, my bustle, which was at 10 points throughout the dress, lasted about an hour into the night. I had two pieces in tact after the wedding.

I just bought my dress and am absolutely in love with it! They have such a huge selection and really worked with me to find what I liked. Meghan did a great job! It was a special experience with my friends and family as they pulled back the curtain each time to reveal the next dress! Love this place. It is where two of my other friends have gotten their dresses as well. The night I got my dress the staff even stayed after close by 45 min! Worth every penny!

Schaffer's Bridal now has a location in Scottsdale by Kierland Mall. I shopped everywhere & Schaffer's by far has the most upscale selection. They did a wonderful job altering my dress, & I really loved working with Laurie (one of the managers). Their showroom is gorgeous and they have the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. My only criticism is that since they're new, much of the sales staff is inexperienced. They're helpful but they need to speed up the process in knowing the store and the merchandise. I loved them so much I took my step-daughter in & she bought her dress there as well.

Schaffer's was awesome when I was buying my dress and the bridesmaids dresses. They were very helpful in finding what we wanted. We had our alterations done there as well. We didn't have any major mishaps but they took in one of my bridesmaids dresses a little too much. But overall we were very satisfied.

I loved my experience at Schaffer's of Scottsdale. I already had found my dress back home, but called around my local shops to see who had it. I was able to get a fitting to fit into my busy work travel schedule, and the price was exactly what it should be based on the brand plus tax. They had such a variety and the owner, Ellie was so easy to work with. Everything was done and ordered on time, in fact very early. Because the shop pays in full they get their dresses faster. My alterations were done on time and everything was perfect. I love that I got a percentage of my dress in store credit, I was able to get my veil for $8 from them! Great gowns and very helpful staff.

A co-worker recommended that I go to Schaffer's once I was ready to pick out a dress because she had such a good experience for hers. I had already been to one store back where I grew up over the holidays so I had somewhat of an idea of what I liked (or so I thought). There was one dress that I had liked at the other store and I called to see if Schaffer's had it. They did not. I still made an appointment as I was not 100% sure on that dress.

When I arrived, I was promptly greeted and my consultant, Jenna, provided a tour of the store. I appreciated that she directed us to the dresses that were within my price range. I was very honest with her and told her about the dress at the other store. It turns out that she had actually taken that phone call and she had another dress that she recommended I try on.

We pulled around 10 dresses into the fitting area and we started. Jenna was very patient and listened to my feelings about each dress. I was comparing each dress to the one I liked at the other store. Jenna went and asked if they could order that dress and the price. They could order it for me if I wanted and for basically the same price too. No dress was beating out the other one until there was one left to try. The minute I put this dress on, I knew I liked it and soon fell in love with it. She was very helpful with getting accessories to finish off the look. Other consultants helped out when I asked how it would look bustled.

By no means did I feel pressured to purchase the dress. They allowed me to spend as much time as I needed in the dress to make sure it was the one.

Without Jenna, I probably would not have even tried on this dress. It was different than I thought I wanted after the first place. I am so happy that she brought it in and that I remained open-minded too.

After my experience thus far with Schaffer's, I highly recommend them!

Now that I have been through the entire Schaffer's experience, I wanted to update my review.

My dress was in earlier than I even expected which was a good thing! I was having bridal portraits done 3 months prior to my wedding and they had no problems getting my dress altered in time for those. I had various alterations appointments and they were very helpful in getting the dress to fit just right! After my bridal portraits (which were outside in an apple orchard), I brought my dress back in and had it re-steamed. I loved that they kept the dress for me so that my fiance would not get a sneak peak!

The ladies here are great! They were so friendly and even discussed what type of wedding band we should have designed for my ring.

Overall, great experience!

I found a dress I really loved at Schaffer's. The staff was very nice and even wrote me a thank you letter after I left. Dresses here are a little bit on the pricey end, but you get what you pay for. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't take pictures. Other than that, they are great!

I bought my dress here and loved it. I did have a few problems. When I bought my dress I was told it could take 4 to 7 months, but was not told that Maggie Sottero dresses are more on the late side and can take up to 8 months sometimes. I ordered my dress in August and received my dress in late February so I was getting pretty frustrated by the time my dress arrived. Also, when I went in to get my second fitting there were still pins in my dress and no alterations were made. Luckily, the ladies at the shop got my alterations done that evening so I could still try on my dress that same day. Also, all the ladies in the shop were friendly and very helpful. In particular, Allie was so sweet! She made sure I didn't look at dresses outside of my price range and found the perfect dress for me as a petite bride. I loved going there and would never go to David's bridal because they were awful.
