Personable AND Professional
Rick is great! So easy to work with and reassuring. He's a big-time nerd so he got along with my husband and I and all of our wedding party. He is so professional, funny, and really great at directing my husband and me in our photos. We did an engagement shoot with Rick first and it was so fun! Neither of us had ever done a professional shoot before so Rick was excellent at telling us what to do and giving us some ideas. The photos were edited beautifully and delivered to us in a timely manner. Before our wedding, we worked out the photo timeline and got organized so we both felt prepared for the wedding day. The day of the wedding went very smoothly and Rick was awesome! My hair ran a little later than expected and Rick was so kind and calming when I was nervous about the timeline. He was so my bridal party had so much fun with him and when my husband and I did individual pictures with him he kept it light hatred and told us some hilarious stories! Rick is so personable and professional. We are still waiting for our pictures to be edited but we did get to see our sneak peak and I can not wait to see the rest of them! We would love to work with Sawyer Creek in the future!

Better than I could have ever hoped for!
I worked with Kyna, the business owner, the entire time. She was incredibly communicative, helpful, and professional. For me, and maybe for most brides, this was my first time hiring a photographer and thinking about photography. I really leaned on Kyna's expertise for how the flow of pictures should go, how much time to expect, etc. She was really generous with her time in helping me figure these details out and ensuring we had a plan that would work for what I wanted.
Day of she was really accommodating to changes in plans, random pictures I wanted here and there throughout the event, and was super efficient and effective with the time we had together.
We've shown our complete album to a variety of people already and some of the most consistent feedback we get is surprise at the amount of pictures and also praise for the quality.
All in all, feel incredibly lucky to have found Sawyer Creek Photography and wholeheartedly recommend their services.

Rick photographed our wedding in August of 2023. He did a wonderful job with keeping pictures flowing, and so fast too! The amount of pictures I got was insane!! With only the 8 hour package, he managed to get pictures of my dress, the rings, and my boots as well as capturing heartfelt moments I didn't even realize were happening.

Great Value & Great People
We did the Orchid Collection for 5 hours of photography and 1 photographer. We were looking for something around $1,000, and Kyna was very helpful and good at communication throughout the whole process. Christ was our photographer, and he brought a good energy, easily making everyone laugh and smile for pictures (even the 3 year old!). He helped us get a good variety of pictures, and we're pleased with the pictures we got. 5 hours ended up being the perfect amount of time for our pre ceremony pictures, ceremony, and reception from the dinner through the first dances. When we decided on the Orchid Collection, Kyna let us know we could wait to decide if we wanted to add on extra hours until closer to the wedding. Though we ended up not needing to, we really appreciated the flexibility. Overall, we loved working with Kyna and Chris and love the photos we have commemorating our special day! We would definitely recommend Sawyer Creek!

I am a chronic over-thinker and spent sooo much time scouring the internet for a photo/video duo with good reviews AND prices. I was on a tight budget but I couldn't stand to put all this effort into an event and not capture it by photo AND video. Thankfully, I found Sawyer Creek and they were willing to travel to us for a very reasonable fee! From the moment we met, they put us at ease and we had a lot of laughs as we did group photos. The experience on the day of was great, but holy smokes! When I opened my email and found the photos I was OVER THE MOON! My husband, too! And my friends! There are sooo many great shots, I'm having a hard time choosing which ones to put on my wall! Anyway - if you are also an anxious over thinker, look no further and just hire them already :)

Kyna caught the energy on the dance floor and the immense amount of fun everyone was having.
Sawyer Creek Photography, Kyna, was amazing! Having to plan, hire and schedule all of our vendors while we were a few states away was a daunting task but when getting to work with vendors like Kyna it takes the stress away! Kyna was open and diligent in answering my many MANY questions leading up to our wedding day. Sawyer Creek's process in the coming days of the event is efficient and thorough and puts your mind at ease! The day of the wedding Kyna and her assistant were on time and ready to go right away and really helped the rest of the itinerary leading up to the ceremony flow flawlessly! We changed fairly last minute to skip outdoor pictures due to the cold and Kyna was more than flexible!! It was great that Kyna had prior experience shooting in our venue (The Malting Building, Duluth MN) it really showed that she knew what she was doing! We just recently received our final pictures and are in LOVE!! Our favorites are definitely our romantic partner ones but the photos from the reception are a close second. Through the photos, Kyna caught the energy on the dance floor and the immense amount of fun everyone was having. I can't help but look through the reception photos and be brought back to that special day. Thank you so much Kyna for your amazing work and being an essential part of our day!

November Elopement in Duluth

Working with Kyna and her team has been nothing short of great. They are very organized, kind and quick to respond to any questions/emails we had. We had Chris for our engagement pictures and it went incredible. He met us half way and was very accommodating to the cold weather. We ended up with a perfect snowy evening with the sun shining. For our best day ever we had Chris and Aly which was amazing!! They both were so great to work with, especially with my big family with many little ones. Wonderful Experience!
Kyna and Chris are incredible!!! We planned our wedding and got married through the pandemic and Kyna was SO accommodating. We ended up changing our entire plan 7 weeks before the big day and Kyna's response was "we are in this with you, of course we will be there!" They drove 10+ hours to Grand Marais and home in addition to shooting our wedding for 5 hours. They are organized, timely, kind, funny and fit right into our day like we knew each other for years! We got sneak peaks from our day within a week and the entire album was delivered about a month afterwards. I was SO happy with how everything turned out especially our video. I highly recommend adding videography to your package. There is something about reliving the day in motion and hearing voices, laughter, etc. vs. still pictures. Wonderful people and you can tell they love their job!

I CANNOT say enough positive things about Kyna, Chris, and the Sawyer Creek Photography team. They are beyond organized, professional, and just fun happy people to work with. They go WAY above and beyond (Kyna actually put all the boutonnieres on our groomsmen just because she knew how and was happy to help). They did such a great job of keeping us on track time wise without making us feel rushed and they used the down time (when we were still getting ready) to take shots of things I wouldn't have even thought of like jewelry and programs. The price was SO reasonable for the great quality and quantity of pictures/videos. I will truly treasure the pics/videos captured on our wedding day for the rest of our lives so it was so important to me to find a great company and I am SO glad we chose Sawyer Creek! I would recommend them all day long for any kind of event/session you want photographed.
We love Sawyer Creek for the quality and thought put into our engagement and wedding! For our wedding day, Kyna on photo and Chris on video/drone captured ALL of our unique photo-opps, and to perfection, as well as candids we will smile at forever. We had a lot of events to capture (boat, sunset, fireworks), in a short time-frame, and with rain to work around. The team was amazing at managing the clock, bringing people together, and shuffling something around if needed. We completely trusted Kyna calling the shots. The team was invisible when they needed to be, and also stepped in to provide direction when necessary (like when our officiant forgot to tell the audience to be seated). She also made us feel comfortable taking photos, which is huge because my husband does not like posing. They are a fun and dedicated crew, amazing all 10 hours of the day, I hands-down recommend!

Wonderful all around!
Rick was our photographer and he was seriously amazing! He made everyone comfortable and laugh the entire day. He knew what I wanted/needed to relax and took care of everything for me. I had total trust and confidence in any and everything he did on my wedding day. My bridal party, family, and friends have also told me how much they enjoyed having him as the photographer. We are so lucky to have had him!
Kyna was my constant contact and she was so understanding about every question or worry I had because of COVID. I changed my mind numerous times, asked a lot of questions, had a lot of worries, and although I apologized 500 times, she never made me feel bad about all my indecisiveness!
If we were to do it all over again, we'd 100% go with Sawyer Creek and choose Rick. :) Thank you, Sawyer Creek!!

Cannot stop recommending Sawyer Creek
My husband and I are so happy that we chose Kyna at Sawyer Creek Photography to capture our engagement and wedding pictures. Kyna was super helpful throughout the planning process - especially with ever changing plans due to COVID. She was very clear about her communication style - don't expect much communication from her before your wedding week, but once your week arrives she is responsive and all ears! She made us feel so comfortable on our day, and we are so so so happy that we went with her as our photographer! She turned our sneak peak photos so quickly too!!

Kyna worked with us with our engagement pictures, wedding pictures and video. She was great to work with, gave direction, and was always on time. We even got our photos back under before the date she stated we'd get them and we love them! So many amazing photos to chose from. Wonderful Experience and Great Value!
We had the most wonderful experience with Kyna and Sawyer Creek Photography for our wedding this past December! I initially booked with Sawyer Creek due to their amazing value for the photo/video package, and after looking at their work on the website and seeing a few of the photos that they took during our day, I am so thankful that we did! Kyna and Chris were so organized during the day and were so efficient while taking all of the photographs and videos of us and our bridal/grooms party and family before the ceremony! They also stayed for part of the reception and took many fun candid photos of our guests on the dance floor! I am usually so nervous getting my picture taken, but they really kept things light-hearted and put me at ease! My husband and I cannot wait to see our photos and videos from the big day, and I am so glad that I found Sawyer Creek to capture all of our beautiful moments!

Chris was so easy to work with and we love our photos! He was professional and flexible even when our times for ceremony and reception changed because of tornado/straight-line winds hitting us. He even had to navigate around downed power lines and trees to get to us! We are so grateful he showed up. It ended up to be a beautiful day with lovely photos to remember it with. Thanks Chris! I am absolutely IN LOVE with my Wedding pictures! Kyna is simply the best. She is easy to communicate with, professional, prompt and very talented with capturing special moments. I was blown away with how many wedding pictures I received. The editing is PERFECT and there are many different shots of the similar poses so you can choose your favorite. I am having a very difficult time picking my favorites because there are so many! There is an online gallery that she puts your photos on, which is easy for sharing with friends and family. You additionally get a flash drive with all the photos!! I would recommend Sawyer Creek to anyone :)

Picture-perfect wedding photography experience!
I worked with Kyna for my wedding photography. She did a wonderful job. I honestly can’t say enough about her. Kyna traveled about 4 hours for my wedding. Despite the distance, she was right on-time for getting ready photos in the morning. Kyna was very personable and fit right in with my friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and made us laugh during photo sessions. By the way- my photos are beautiful. She posted a few highlight photos on Facebook the day after the wedding, which was a pleasant surprise for me. It was exciting to get a sneak preview of all the lovely photos to come! Sawyer Creek contract states that it can take up to 90 days to receive the edited photos, but I got them well before that time frame (just under 2 months). I was able to view the photos online in a user-friendly format. Additionally, I received a flash drive in the mail. The flash drive itself comes in a wooden encasement, placed inside a beautiful Sawyer Creek engraved box. I would highly recommend Sawyer Creek Photography for any wedding. My overall experience was a 10/10.

We found Sawyer Creek through our wedding venue's recommended list. I was drawn to their style and attention to detail the moment I went onto their website. I was also shocked at how affordable their pricing was as well. We were lucky enough to have Kyna shoot both our engagement session and our wedding. She made us feel extremely comfortable during both sessions, which was important to me because i'm usually not one to like taking pictures. I am absolutely stunned by the quality of pictures we have received from our sneak peak and cannot wait to receive the rest. My mom attached the link to some of her co-workers who work in creative design and they raved about the quality and how well they turned out. I highly recommend Sawyer Creek to anyone who is looking for a photographer.

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS REVIEW: Kyna took our engagement photos and we absolutely love them. We booked her to do our "Love story" video and it came out amazing! We can't wait to show it at our wedding to all our guests. We also booked her for our wedding which will be in Florida, and her rates were very competitive with locals in Florida which is what made us go with Kyna! We know we love her style of photos and know our wedding pictures will be just as wonderful. She is also so easy to work with, easy to talk to, very down to earth and fun. WEDDING PHOTOS REVIEW: Kyna with Sawyer Creek Photography is so talented! She did our engagement photos when we lived in Minneapolis and she just shot our wedding down in Florida. We never thought we would be able to afford flying her down to our “destination” wedding, but her prices are SO competitive we couldn’t afford to NOT have her photograph our wedding! She was wonderful to work with – it felt like talking to a friend I’ve known for years! After falling in love with our engagement pictures, I never thought I would love any pictures more; we’ve only seen a sneak peek of our wedding day photos, but we are absolutely THRILLED with what we’re seeing so far! We literally can’t wait to see the day’s worth of photos, AND the video that Marty and Walter took for us. Along with our engagement photo sessions, Kyna did a “Love Story” video for us that we showed at our wedding and our guests absolutely LOVED seeing it. They really got a chance to see us with our guards down talking about each other, the qualities we like in the other, and how we first met. Kyna has such a great personality, and was a perfect fit for our wedding. She kept things fun, and started taking photos the second she arrived on our wedding day. She did a good job catching both posed and candid shots which will help us to remember our day. The website for Sawyer Creek is informative and easy to navigate, and includes so many good examples for past work that you will feel confident with your choice. After the wedding, we already had a sneak peak photo up the very next day. When searching to photographers and videographers in the Eau Claire, everyone is SO over priced. We found Sawyer Creek, north of Eau Claire, and we could not have been happier with our choice. I still can't believe the quality of the photos and the amount of attention we received for the price. We got married in the winter, so we were able to get an upgrade on our photography and videography package. On the day of, Kyna did everything she could to make the day run so smoothly and was not over-intrusive in the wedding activities.
I can't wait to contact Sawyer Creek Photography in the future for maternity photos ;)

We got married in St. Paul, MN. Kyna and her husband photographed our wedding. We loved all of our wedding photos! They did such a great job and this is coming from someone who hates having their photograph taken. They are also very competively priced. They also offered us videography (with no upcharge) in exchange for a small reduction in photography hours. It was well worth it-we love our wedding video and watch it often!

The day of my wedding both Kyna and her brother were very fun to have around and very flexible with what we wanted to do and the timing of the day. They were very helpful and accommodating and even drove some of our guests to the venue when we didn't have enough space.
I was under the impression that it would be a long time until we got to see our photos, but the very day a sneak peak photo was up on the facebook page. Within a couple weeks we had all of our photos and two different videos that are absolutely AMAZING! I absolutely love all the photos and especially the videos. I would highly recommend Sawyer Creek Photography to anyone getting married!

Kyna was absolutely awesome to work with! She was so flexible and willing to go with the ideas I came up with but she was also very willing to throw out some ideas of her own. I would definitely recommend Kyna for any event. She was very prompt the day of the wedding and I got my pictures back very quickly!! She is very easy to communicate with and answers emails quickly. We eloped in Las Vegas and were having a hard time finding photographers in the Vegas area that were trustworthy and didn't cost over 1000$ for two hours of shooting. I Messaged Sawyer Creek to see how they felt about destination weddings and I think they became more excited than I was. They flew out and did such an amazing job. Our video and photos were available in a gallery online just a couple of days after the wedding. The gallery is really user-friendly and when I saw Kyna for my daughter's six-month pictures, she gave my a USB with everything on it (delivered in a cute little box with confetti). I'm a huge fan of Sawyer Creek because they are easy to work with and incredibly affordable. We plan to continue using them for future events.

I am VERY happy that I choose Sawyer Creek Photography to use for my engagement photos, wedding and reception. My husband and I met Kyna for our engagement session and immediately liked her. She made us feel very comfortable taking pictures. We had a destination wedding in Hawaii and she came with us along with her husband Cody. Kyna took beautiful pictures of our entire day and ceremony on the beach. Cody was also with us taking video of everything for our wedding day. They both did a WONDERFUL job. I would highly recommend using Sawyer Creek!

When it comes to vendors at a wedding, I took photography vendors as my top priority! I knew I would be spending a lot of time with this personin my wedding day, and I wanted to enjoy their company! Kyna is simply lovely, so fun, organized, caring, and professional :) Josh and I both lived working with her. She is also SUPER timely! We got Facebook "sneak peeks" of our pictures the day after and she sent the gallery of ALL of our images just a week later! She is so timely and on top of editing. Our venue required a boat trip to an island in the middle of the North Woods and our photographer made the trip with no problem, or extra charge, was early, was professional, took phenomenal photos, listened to everything I wanted and more. We loved having Rick as our photographer for our wedding in July! He was very friendly and took amazing shots of our special day. We had Kyna and Sawyer Creek Photography for our engagement and wedding pictures. It was an absolute blast working with Kyna and her staff. Her artistic eye and professionalism is evident in all aspects of working with her. She is very timely and a great communicator. During our engagement pictures, we had a chance to interact and get a feel for Kyna and how she does things. After our session with Kyna we were more excited for the wedding day. During our wedding at the Enchanted Barn, my wife and I were so impressed with the shots they were able to get and how they allowed us to enjoy our day and not dominate it with picture suggestions and taking us away from the action. In retrospect, Kyna helped to make the day by choosing appropriate times to get pictures done.

The day I met Kyna I fell in love with her passion, she was super excited and so enthusiastic about my 50s themed wedding it made me feel so special. I felt a connection instantly with her and that is exactly what I was looking for. From the get go she was so helpful and so fun to work with. Kyna did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and I.LOVE.THEM.ALL. She did such an amazingly great job with all the details and lighting in every photo, she took the time to make sure everything I wanted happened:) She is incredibly fast and amazing at getting the pictures back (and I know it takes a lot of time) it just shows how dedicated and loyal sawyer creek is. She spent the whole day capturing everything I worked so hard for and I could never thank Kyna enough <3 I will RAVE about these pictures for the rest of my life

We are so grateful we picked Kyna at Sawyer Creek Photography to capture our big day. We thought planning a wedding and picking a photographer all the way from Arizona would be challenging, but Kyna made correspondence a breeze and was extremely accommodating with timing despite her traveling over an hour to Duluth. Kyna and her associate jumped right into it and captured every important moment from the first look to the after party. For formals and group pictures, they were both helpful with suggestions and flexible to what poses the wedding party would like to do. We were extremely pleased with the variety and quality of the images we received and their use of lighting was absolutely stunning. We highly recommend Sawyer Creek Photography.
